Elle looked at him strangely. He seemed to be acting slightly odd. But then again Ace was always a little bit odd. That was why she liked him so much. He put up with her no matter what. Her tail waggled faster as she giggled.
"So I snuggle often?" She smiled, "Well....just with you and Jordi...but Jordi can't snuggle with me anymore. He has a girlfriend and she would beat me up if I tried to snuggle with him now." Elle nodded her head as she grinned.

Ace blinked as his mouth dropped open. "He's got a girlfriend? Since when?" Last Ace saw of the other male was when they had finally become adults. Even then Jordi was tagging along behind Elle, not going near any other fox but her and Ace. "I mean, he just didn't seem the type to get a girlfriend you know?"

"Well Triya didn't give him much of a choice. She latched onto him and said that he was her boyfriend." elle giggled, "I have to admit that she's funny....and very dominant." She nodded her head as she looked at Ace, "Can you imagine if I walked up to you and just demanded that you be my boyfriend."
Elle snorted with laughter, "I think you might die of shock if that happened."

Ace stared off, trying to imagine Elle doing such a thing. Well, he didn't see her latching on and saying that he was her boyfriend. He could see her more blurting she loved him, cause she always said what was on her mind without taking the long way. "Noooo....But then again, you don't hold anything back."

Elle smiled at him, "I'm sorry...do you not like that I speak my mind about things?" She frowned slightly. Did Ace not like the fact that she spoke her mind? She had never thought about it before now. If Ace didn't like that about her maybe she should should change. After all he was important to her.
He was her friend. Right. Maybe more. Elle felt her cheeks flush slightly.

"No no no no no! I like it." Ace looked back at Elle. "It's better actually. You make me feel normal when you act the way you do." He smiled at her. "I mean...other foxes try to cover up the fact that this," he motioned to the bone mask, "freak them out." He curled slightly so his head was nearer Elle's. "It never seemed to bother you you know? And you're always so bright and shining."

Elle looked at the bone mask, then at him and shrugged. "What's the big deal about it?" She leaned in and licked over the mask, "It is a part of you Ace...therefore I love it like the rest of you." She nodded her head, "If it makes other foxes uncomfortable then they are just stupid...It's dashing and manly..."
The vixen smiled as she curled into her friend, nuzzling against his neck before resting her head on his back, sighing in happiness.

Ace blushed. "L-Love?" He turned even more red as she called it dashing and manly. Could Elle really think about him like that? Could she be different than other foxes who made fun of him? Was it possible that someone would be able to love him, and see past what he looked like? Hesitant, Ace curled his tail around Elle.

"What's wrong Ace?" Elle looked at his blushing face. It looked really cute on him, she had to admit to herself. Leaning in, she nuzzled against his neck again. And that was when she felt his tail wrap around hers. Giggling slightly, she wrapped her tail around his more firmly as she smiled.
"Are you blushing because of the love comment? Was it too soon to day that?" She frowned, whining slightly. "Do you find it weird because I am so much older then you? We did play when you and Jordi were kits."

Ace stared at their entwined tails then at Elle's face, which made him blush more. "N-Not wierd at all. It's just that besides my mother, no one else had told me that." He gave a grin. "Besides, Jordi's dating an older female isn't he?" What scared him the most, what was odd the most, was that Elle had said it love first. Wasn't it supposed to be the male to say so?

"Oh...." Elle sighed in relief as she looked at him. "I thought it might be because you didn't have those feelings for me at all." She smiled as she wrapped her paws around him and pulled him closer to her. So warm. So soft.
"Mmm.....I suppose he is dating an older female." She chuckled as she thought about it, "I wonder how it happened that both of you ended up with vixen's that were older....though Triya isn't as old as I am.""

"Because it was meant to be that way?" Who knew why things happened? But it was funny that the two of them did end up with older females as mates. It might give the two of them more to talk about, since they never had much in common as kits, besides being friends with Elle. He and Jordi were just too different.
Ace looked aghast at Elle. "Whatever made you think that?" He not feel the same as her? He always had, even as a kit.

"Well....You didn't really seem to like me all that much. Or at least it didn't seem like you did." Elle looked at him, not upset by the fact. It wouldn't have been his fault if he hadn't have liked her. She would not have been angry with him at all about it. Smiling, Ellyria nuzzled his neck.
"But you do like me, right? So I don't have to be worried about it?"

"I-I do. And you don't." Ace curled his tail around Elle. "I just haven't been around females to know how to show it." No way to know what they liked a guy to do. What they didn't want. Maybe if one of his mothers had been around to help. Unfortunately, one of them disappeared soon after he arrived, and the one that stayed while he was a kit left soon after he grew, never offering him advice.

Elle smiled as she looked at him, "Really Ace? You really like me?" She beamed as she wrapped her tail around him, then leaned into his body. "Well...all you have to do is tell me that you like me....and occasionally kiss me....or nuzzle me. That is all I need to know that you care about me."
