χσ¢нιqυєтzαℓ νση ∂єя вα¢н-χιqυι  Before Xochiquetzal had to wait for long, another pair of males had entered the classroom – one was obviously a student as he took a seat and, another which had come in shortly after the student, appeared to be a teacher. Or a very privileged student to be granted the largest desk of the room. She watched him go about for a time, considering which was more likely to be the answer, when he spoke and her attention was forced elsewhere. ..Introduction.. That sounded rather tedious – would she have to stand? Or raise her voice? She disliked doing either and, really, she didn't think it was important to let everyone know her name. ..Ah, but, she was getting ahead of herself. The girl raised her hand lazily, barely lifting it above her head, and then spoke before the man had a chance to allow her to. “Is 'this' class the Spell Casting class or is there another class you are addressing?” While this was likely an odd question, to Xochiquetzal it made sense – her last school was rather small and, on occasion, more than one class would end up sharing the same room. Of course, there were always some announcement to alert her to that (which she only heard fifty percent of the time), but she wasn't certain how this school worked.

 Severin Novaire ________________________Severin raised an eyebrow at the girl, not sure he understood her question. Well, when in doubt, just repeat your original directions except in a different way.
Seveirn smiled at the girl. "Yes. I am addressing the spell casting class. This job was a bit sudden, so I may seem a bit disorganized. I sure hope you have magical ability if you're in this class. I was just suggesting that if you're a first time student in this class, then please go ahead and introduce yourself to the class and explain what kind of magic you use. Ah..."
Severin glanced around and waved his hand to Veith. "See Veith here? He uses spell books to use his magic. But I don't need to use spell books since I'm... half elf so I can just make magic happen. Spell casting is a tricky class to teach since there are so many ways other creatures use magic. I thought it would be helpful to know how my students use magic so I can teach the class efficiently." Severin explained to her the best he could. "Erm... hopefully that somehow answered your question?" ________________________

 Veith Nezariel Veith was kind of zoning out when he heard his name. He glanced up and realized that Professor Novaire was using him as an example for something. He had no idea what it was supposed to be. Well, apparently he was just trying to get the new student to introduce herself to the class. Well, it was just Veith and her and another student that also didn't know him either so it wouldn't hurt to introduce himself either.
"It's just an introduction." Veith said to her as he glanced at the girl who spoke up. "My name is Veith. I'm a human, but I have no magical abilities to just make magic appear so I have to rely on spell books for that kind of thing." Veith told her. "That's pretty much all you really have to do."
If his friends were here, they'd be nagging him to smile to at least appear friendly. At least he was even bothering to attempt to be helpful. Besides, if he tried to smile, it'd just look unnatural.

χσ¢нιqυєтzαℓ νση ∂єя вα¢н-χιqυι She liked this class. Her last teacher had learned to ignore her – while the principal, whenever she substituted, would assign her more homework she wouldn't do. Here, they were being informative and helpful, which had her paying the slightest more attention to them. She wasn't aware there were any other means to do magic – nor that there was someone who could simply make it happen, as the man at the front had claimed. Her eyes drifted off towards the one nameless student in the room in brief wonder of what his method was before she looked to the two males speaking.
“..I see..” She paused, thought it over a tad longer, and then gave a nod, placing a hand to her chest to better indicate she was speaking of herself. “I'm Xochiquetzal Celeste Judith Rosalyn Isobel Min-Ya Nuo-Mu Teddy Newt von der Bach-Xiqui. You may remember and use any of the names I have mentioned,” Xochiquetzal doubted she would respond to any of them regardless of which they used anyway. “I perform rituals and meditation nightly to make spells accessible to me throughout the day – however, I do require a catalyst in relation to the task I will commit..” She drifted off there and folded her arms on her desk, setting her head atop it. Not to sleep, mind you, but it was exhausting to speak so many words in such a short amount of time – so, to rest, she closed her eyes, opening them on occasion to view the room before returning to her day-dreaming state. She had finished anyway.

Severin Novaire ________________________Severin smiled. So that explained the reason there was a name that took up so much space on the attendance sheet. Severin almost though the printer broke when putting all those names. But he wasn't sure how to say the first name so he'll probably just call her Celeste, being the lazy person he is. The second choice is always the next choice if the first one didn't work out.
"Well, we're glad to have you in our class." Severin said to her with a smile. "Thank you, Veith for being so kind as to introduce yourself to your classmate. Since it's a small class, the both of you will be helping each other out a lot with your magic. Now then, let's begin with today's lecture."
"Now in this class, it will be difficult to learn anything new because all of us have a set magic skill that we can only use. In this class, I will be teaching you different exercises that can help improve your skill... and sometimes they won't work since we're different and it's normal that different ways to get better at magic work for different people." Severin said.
"Now if you are new, then I am the permanent... spell casting professor. Professor Novaire. Now then, today, I'll teach you all how to create an energy ball. This energy ball is completely pointless in battle and will harm nothing. It's just a ball full of your energy. The point of the exercise is to maintain control over your power. If you can't control your powers, you'll hurt other people and yourself. So an energy ball is always a good exercise to do before going to sleep or before a battle."
"To do one, you just need to concentrate really hard and materialize the energy you use to create magic so that you can see it in front of you. If you could form it into a ball, then that means, you're in good shape. If you can't, you'd best avoid using magic until you can. It helps keep your brain active so it's a very handy exercise." Severin explained. "Sometimes it helps if you cup your hands like you're holding a ball or you could extend your hands up or something. It usually depends on you."

Xochiquetzal didn't bother to acknowledge the comment, simply staring at him until he spoke more – and that he did! He simply talked and talked – and then talked some more! Xochiquetzal felt herself drift off in the middle of all that, but she wasn't entirely sure if she had really fallen asleep or simply closed her eyes a second too long as, when she opened them again with a muffled yawn, she saw he was still talking. Considering she hadn't been paying much attention when he started speaking, her being lost on what he was talking about didn't give her much indication at all. But, she didn't spend any more time pondering that as he had finished speaking. “Mm.” She sounded thoughtfully as she straightened back up in her chair, “You are.. the professor and we are.. to..” She stopped speaking and looked over at the other helpful boy – Veith? Was that his name? “We are to..” She repeated again, this time directing it at the boy expectantly. He was willing to help her before – why wouldn't he now?

χσ¢нιqυєтzαℓ νση ∂єя вα¢н-χιqυι Ah. So that was it. Xochiquetzal wasn't sure if she enjoyed the idea very much – it sounded like far too much work on her part.. Not to mention she had never tried to create a 'ball of energy'. Instead of attempting to do so on her own, she decided to watch and see how this Veith handled it. A flash of light and she found herself confused as she watched the little streams of energy dart about actively – pretty and distracting, but it didn't sound like the ball that the boy had described. She tilted her head slightly and frowned some more as she watched – was that their definition of 'ball'? She thought something more circular would make sense, but she supposed if that was what they wanted..
She heard a mention of the word 'fluke', but ignored it completely – there were no such things as 'flukes' around her. He obviously intended to do that and was a bad liar. She held out her hand and concentrated for a moment, mimicking the 'ball' of energy Veith had done, although on a much, much smaller scale – it was hardly noticeable if one weren't looking directly at her hand! But, she didn't care about that as she dropped any instance of concentration half a minute after she had started, disliking having any form of her 'out of control', however small the amount. It was more difficult to force energy into a specific pattern than a shape.. It would take a few more classes, she supposed, before she could do it precisely as the boy had.

Severin Novaire ________________________Severin was appalled to realized that the students couldn't do something as simple as a ball of energy. It was just a show of how controlled on is with their powers. So this was implying that there were a ton of students running around in the school who had absolutely no control over their powers. Veith was especially worrisome because he showed a lot of power but there was absolutely no control at all.
Celeste made a tiny energy ball. At least she knew her limit and seemed to have a good head about how to control her powers. Although she seemed to be holding back which meant she didn't have that much control either.
"Well, good work... Celeste. Now Veith showed you an example of how not to do it. It's just a simple technique. It's like how you could move your hand up and down. If you can't control your magic, you shouldn't be using it or you'll blow something up." Severin said and he turned to Veith. "I don't know what is causing your off day, but it's dangerous if you can't control your magic. If you're not careful, one of your spells will blow up on you and you'll get yourself or other people killed."
"Well, since our class is having control issues, we'll just take little steps at a time. We'll do some control exercises everyday before we actually do some spell casting." Severin said to his tiny class with a smile. "Make sure you work on it when you have time. Well, that's it for today. Class is dismissed."
((And more blah blah blah from Severin. xD And since classes in other classes are being dismissed, I'll dismiss too! Feel free to mingle in other classrooms or something. =D)) ________________________
