~Keina Alappassi~ The baby girl without a chance A victim of the circumstance The one who oughta give up But she's just to hard headed
Keina growled again and gave the girl a nasty glare, "There is no way that I am going to give you one of my feathers, and don't you try threatening me with your hands. I can have expelled in a heartbeat!" She warned. The subject of hawkling feathers was an extremely touchy one for the young woman. The feathers themselves were the reason that so many of her people were dead anyway.

“Teddy” Ah – a growl again. Xochiquetzal felt like she was dealing with a feral animal rather than a teacher as she stepped back subconsciously, not wanting to be grabbed or anything due to some misdirected irritation. “...” Her hands? She lifted them both up and looked at them, wondering just what was so threatening of her hands. Finding nothing out of the ordinary, she looked back at the hawkling blankly, “...How?” On both of what she said! She didn't know a nurse had the power to expel.. and she wasn't quite sure how her hands would be considered dangerous enough to threaten with. Xochiquetzal wasn't particularly strong in any way and, outside of her blessings, she didn't think she had anything to make anyone frightened of her.. Outside of the Goddess watching over her, but it was obvious by the other's attitude that that didn't strike the hawkling as a threat.

"Its a warning. Do not touch my wings with your oily hands," She said. "If you'll excuse me, I really must be going. I have things to do," she told Xochi as she turned her back to the girl and headed off down the street, trying to lose the student in the large and busy crowd.

“Teddy” Xochiquetzal frowned as the woman started to leave, not quite understanding what she meant. But, that didn't deter her from following her – she was in a crowded place! If she was left alone for too long, then she would surely begin to recognize the noise for what it was! She needed something to focus on or else who knew what could happen? So, she continued trotting after the woman, still frowning at the feeling of not her feet colliding with the ground, but her shoes. It was such an odd thing – she didn't know why it was so insisted that she wear them.. “I don't like shoes.” She said to the woman, continuing on as if it was the most natural topic ever, “They are unusual – do you not think so?”

Keina sighed as she heard Xochi catch up with her. "What I want to know is why exactly are you following me?" She asked as they walked along. She really wanted the student to just go away now. She was getting a bit on her nerves... and also, Keina had the sneaking suspicion that something bad, no, very bad, was happening back at the school.

“Teddy” Xochiquetzal kept up her pace, though she disliked having to go any speed above what she was used to. Such a brisk female.. But, birds were often hectic – she supposed that had to do with it. Perhaps she was heading back to her nest..? Xochiquetzal pondered on that, trying to imagine a nest large enough to contain a creature as large as her, but her question had her back to the present. “...” She paused in step for a moment before hurrying on to continue with the woman, “..You behave like my father. It is pleasant.” Somewhat of a lie, but not completely – the woman did remind Xochiquetzal of her father's bedside manner, although the man wasn't as prone to growling as the hawkling was.

Keina sighed, annoyed, and decided to just ignore the girl completely now. She continued on towards the school, not responding to anything that Xochi said. Keina REALLY needed to get back to the school. She needed to check on Isamu and do some other work, even though she was currently off duty anyway.

“Teddy” Ah~ The sigh and silence! It was strange how, just after saying the passing thought aloud, Xochiquetzal began to see even more similarities. Perhaps this woman should marry her father! The man would rather enjoy her – she did behave like Judith as well.. But, Xochiquetzal wasn't sure she would enjoy that very much. The hawkling was interesting, but not worthy of being family. “The liver of a hawk was once considered to be a cure for chicken pox. It does not work, however, it makes an adequate meal.” She managed to get into a nice pace beside the hawkling, continuing to talk despite the silence – if only to attempt to keep focus on the hawkling. “I do not believe hawks have enough healing qualities to cure..” She looked thoughtfully at the woman, “You are a nurse, however.. Do hawklings have healing properties?” Perhaps she should direct her family in that direction.. It would be beneficial.. Ah. She paused once again, “....Are you distracted?”

"No, I do not have healing properties," she replied as she continued right on her way. She sighed. She was incredibly annoyed and all she wanted right now was to be left alone, but it didn't look like she was going to be getting that anytime soon.

“Teddy” Xochiquetzal frowned in disappointment – she would have liked to have some reason two encourage her parents into coming after the hawkling.. Outside of Xochiquetzal simply wanting a feather. She had doubts that that would work.. though, with her mother.. She waved off the thought and let out a breath akin to a sigh, “..Ah.. I see.. That is disappointing.” She frowned and looked off towards where she had come – in the direction of the school. “..I would very much like to return to the school now.” She said with a step closer towards the woman, “I am tired.” That last statement came with an expectant look at the woman. She was a part of the staff and, thus, Xochiquetzal was her responsibility – not to mention the Goddess part, but she didn't think of saying that. She somehow doubted it would work.

Keina couldn't help but be relieved when Xochi said that she would finally be leaving, "Very well then, have a good day...." She replied as she took a sharp turn and looped back in the direction that she had come. She was finally rid of the pestering student. Thank goodness.

“Teddy” ...She.. left? Xochiquetzal stared blankly after the woman, her brow slowly creasing in confusion as she witnessed that. She was dismissed.. again. She gave a stern frown and, before the hawkling could get too far, she scurried using muscles she hardly ever bothered. When she was close enough, she slowed down, took in a few, even breaths, and started talking again, “I am tired.” She said, her voice raised and her usual airy quality of speech dropping for something more firm, “It is important that I return to the school.” She hadn't had to speak louder than her usual tone for years – her throat felt strange having to do it so suddenly. But, she didn't understand why everyone was being so stubborn – it was irritating.

Keina froze in her steps and her feathers ruffled the instant she heard Xochi's voice. Why couldn't the girl just return to the school on her own!? Keina growled a bit and looked back over her shoulder at the girl, "If your so tired then why don't you just head back to school then?" She asked in a tone that made it sound like she was talking to a little kid.

“Teddy” Xochiquetzal stopped as soon as the girl did, fascinated by the ruffling of the woman's feathers. They were so.. fluffy now~ It was tempting to reach out and snuggle them, as Xochiquetzal did her pillows from time to time.. But, she didn't move to do so, her mind back on her previous annoyance as the topic was brought up – blatantly this time. “...” She stared at the woman for a while there, wondering if she was joking or if she really was as moronic as she acted. “...I would enjoy that.” She paused another moment, giving her a second chance to redeem herself, but it seemed she would have to actually explain. Hadn't her guide mentioned that before? People wouldn't understand unless she explained things? She nodded slowly, understanding his meaning now that she was faced with a truly lesser individual. “You will escort me.” She ordered and waited patiently for the woman to respond diligently, feeling calmer now.
