All the worry and doubt and nervousness was bubbling up in the back of her mind, but that's where it stayed as she hesitantly, slowly copied Aulus's actions and laced her fingers with his. It felt... nice. His hand was warm, too. She aimed another hesitant smile at him, but this time it didn't look quite as nervous as before.

At Claire's smile Aulus relaxed a little, and smiled a little wider himself. It was alright. He didn't know where this was going, if it was going anywhere at all, if it might all end in disaster... but for now it was going well, for now he was happy, and maybe if he could just enjoy that everything else would fall into place?
Aulus gave Claire's hand a gentle squeeze and turned back to watch the movie, for once in his life feeling hopeful.

Yes, this felt nice. There was an odd feeling bubbling in the pit of her stomach - sort of like relief and nervousness mixed together with a hint of nausea - but it was.. more relief than anything else, so she supposed it was good? Was that how you were supposed to feel? She had absolutely no idea, but it wouldn't be so bad later, she was sure. She hoped. It wouldn't, right? Right. ...hopefully.
Her smile remained as she relaxed a bit as well before focusing back on the movie. At the end of the movie, Aulus would find Claire fast asleep, her head resting on his shoulder and her fingers still intertwined with his.
