"Asch, wait-" She wasn't able to stop him before he was storming past her, and quicker then she realized was in the other room. Faleen dropped the binding she had untied, and scrambled to her feet, walking briskly into the room after Asch in time to see him grab Izaya and slam him against the wall. Izaya wasn't helping the situation by trying to push Asch's buttons some more with his talk.
Zoroark watched the two men closely, though her ears slicked back, not sure what she was supposed to do in a situation like this, but as soon as Faleen appeared she knew she would just need to stay out of it.
Black gloved fingered reached out to take one of Asch's arms, but she didn't tug on it, more to show that she was there as she stepped up to both their sides.
When she spoke, her tone was somewhat hushed, and level, speaking very clearly despite not having to raise her voice. "Asch you know this isn't the way to handle this, I know your upset, I know the way things have been this last few months, no one can fault you, but you need to be the Agent right now." Her fingers tensed slightly on his arms, trying to convince Asch not to go any further, not once looking away from the younger Agent's face. " ... You need to let him go."

Asch's anger had caused him to go into a blind rage, to the point that part of him didn't really know what he was doing. The red head used his hilted sword and pressed it up against Izaya's neck, threatening to crush his throat. He wanted to kill him, wanted this man to suffer for everything that he'd done.
However, as Faleen's hand touched his arm, he heard her words, something seemed to reach him. Deep down he knew this wasn't right, despite it all. Even if Izaya deserved to be punished, this wasn't the way. It wasn't honorable to harm a man that was obviously weaker than he was, both physically and mentally.
"Why are you doing this?!" He demanded of Izaya. "Why can't you just leave me alone?!"
And then it struck him, how Izaya had just been going on about Aila. That was what this was all about. Asch's green eyes narrowed and he pulled away from the Japanese man.
"You're blaming yourself for Aila's death. Is that what this is about?! And you're using me to relieve that guilt!"

As soon as Asch had gotten a hold of Izaya, Mairu and Kururi had dropped off his arms and scurried to Zoroark's side, watching with wide eyes. Would this finally be it? Would their trainer die? They'd always thought it would have been by Shizuo's hand, but this was unexpected. Izaya was even acting like he wanted to die. But they knew he feared death as the end of existence, so that couldn't have been true. Was this all some elaborate plan of his...?
The informant, meanwhile, had the experience of feeling his throat, along with his voice box, nearly crushed under the pressure of Asch and his sword's sheath. He continued to try to smile, but the corners of his mouth faltered every so often while them man's crimson eyes locked with vibrant, emerald ones.
Though he continued to attempt smiling, there was something like fear flickering behind the crimson, and Izaya's gaze shifted to Faleen as soon as she stepped in. Suddenly he seemed to be glaring at her, but since both agents' attentions were mostly on each other, he doubted either of them noticed. Why did Faleen have to interfere? Asch was a big, grown boy. He could make his personal decisions and fight his internal conflicts for himself.
When the red-head started demanding answers, the grunt opened his mouth as if to speak, or laugh, but hardly any sound emitted from his choked-up esophagus. It was probably just as well, because in an instant, Asch seemed to come to a realization before backing off. This caused Izaya to slide down the wall and collapse in a heap, clutching at his throat as he coughed and gasped for air.
The teen soon answered his own question, causing Izaya to look up at him once more. He still hadn't recovered enough to speak then, but by the dumbfounded expression on the informant's face, it seemed to have been dead on.

Faleen hoped she wouldn't have to interfere more, the look on Asch's face was enough to worry even her. But after a few moments, her words seemed to sink in, and the Agent both called down a little more, and stepped back from Izaya, releasing the man who slid down the wall.
Faleen took a step back as well, lowering her hands away from Asch and back to her side, shifting her hazel eyes down to Izaya, who for once was wordless, probably because he was still trying to regain his voice from the violence or something to do with the look on his face after Asch had come to realize what this was all really about.
The blond Agent herself didn't look at all surprised when Asch came to this realization, nor by the fact that he was actually proved right by the look on Izaya's face. Ever since the memorial, Faleen had a hint that Izaya was struggling with Aila's death, in his own unique way. The baiting words he had spoken to Asch not a few moment's ago have been the dead giveaway though.
For it to go this far though...
She remained silent as she stood, hand open at her side and she glanced from Izaya, back up to Asch, waiting for someone to say something.

Asch stood there, glaring down at Izaya with a severe frown. The look in the man's eyes told him enough.
"Tch. You're so pathetic!" He said in clear disgust.
There was a saying. It takes one to know one. Asch himself had partially blamed himself for Aila's death. He was amazed he hadn't seen it sooner. Considering Aila had died to save him, it only made sense, but Izaya had acted like he didn't care or that it didn't bother him. He feigned it so well that Asch hadn't noticed it until now. Izaya likely held much more guilt than Asch had.
Asch then used his sword to point towards the exit. "GET OUT!"
He didn't want to see or hear Izaya any more right now. If he didn't leave, there was no guarantee that Asch wouldn't lose it again.

The grunt chuckled bitterly, pushing himself up off the ground before brushing himself off. "You're one to talk..." he murmured, looking anywhere but directly at Asch. He didn't deny the agent's words, however.
"...Why did you have to interfere, Faleen-san?" the informant paused to ask, a forlorn smile upon his lips on his way out the door. "We were getting along just swimmingly..."
He would have liked to stay, but the moment was gone and Izaya didn't have the will to risk his own life again so soon. His legs felt like they'd turned to jelly and his body shook with the near-death experience, but he defiantly turned on his heel and left the premises. At least he'd done what he'd set out to do, even if he hadn't entirely succeeded in eliciting the response he'd hoped for. If it hadn't been for Faleen...well, he wasn't sure whether to be upset that she'd ruined his plan, or grateful.

Her eyebrows tensed a little closer together when Izaya questioned Faleen's actions. Her eyes, having been on Asch, where turned back to her partner with a look of mild confusing that was mostly controlled through her professional demeanor.
Why did she interfere? Did that really even need an answer? Of course it didn't, She knew he likely didn't expect one, especially since it was followed by something so blatantly sarcastic, even if his tone didn't portray it. So her silence was maintained.
Asch had finally ended the encounter there, and forcibly told Izaya to get out, and he did, without argument. Watching as he left the room Faleen then turned back to Asch, pausing as if she was going to say something.
He looked so different now, Faleen had gotten so used to the long hair that was obviously cared for, but it was gone, chopped off so unceremoniously and rough. What could she really say at this point? Certainly nothing came to mind other then "... I'm going to contact you tomorrow." knowing that this was probably not over even though it seemed to at least take a breather for the evening. "We'll talk about how you want to handle this... but I think its best that tonight be used as a breather..."

Asch didn't give any reply to Izaya, and turned his back to the man as he made his exit. Brows furrowed over closed eyes as he tried to calm his nerves. He was still angry, there was no denying that, but his desire to kill Izaya had yet again subsided. The red head had to literally bite his tongue to keep from lashing out at the grunt's parting words.
When Faleen spoke though, he gave a sigh. "Fine." It was probably for the best that things wait till morning. By then he'd have a better reign on his anger.
Before the other agent could leave though, he turned his head to glance over his shoulder. "Thanks."
She had saved him further humiliation and stopped him from making a big mistake. If Faleen hadn't come, things would have been a lot worse. He owed her at least some words of gratitude.

She blinked, and lifted her head a little when he thanked her, hesitating from leaving the room for a few seconds longer. She didn't expect to be thanked, she never did, so to hear it from Asch drew a moment of pause. "I'm sorry this happened Agent Asch."
Gloved hands closed beside her. There could be a number of clique things she could say to console him, quotes you pick up from movies, other people. But none of them held true. 'it gets easier after time' That was a lie... It doesn't
Her brow furrowed lightly for a couple of seconds, before she let her weight shift onto one leg, the other sliding lightly behind her, allowing her to turn around, and exit Asch's room, Pausing at the door to let the pokemon following pass her, Zoroark ushering the two Purrloin along with them so that Faleen could close the door to the room. "I'll talk to you tomorrow. Good night" She offered to the younger man, before the door clicked shut between them.
A soft breath was let out through her nose, one of her hands lifting up to touch her forehead before she drew her posture back up again, glancing around the halls to see if she could still see where Izaya might have gone to. "Lets go find him." She told the pokemon quietly, knowing that Zoroark and Umbreon could sniff him out.
She avoided talking to him about this since they got back from the mission, to the point where she just tried to ignore that there was something wrong, in hopes that it would just... go away. Clearly it didn't, she couldn't just ignore it anymore.
