quite suddenly something massive blasted into the barrier. they had high explosives and it would be only moments until they got through

Caedis grit his teeth and looked at the defenseless girl in his arms. Damit... I can't keep my energy up against that for very long... He thought and held her close to him as he tried to think of a way to get her to safety. "Lady Mara... you have to trust me... I promise, I won't die...But I'm going to get you inside, get to a safe room like I said before and stay there..." He said and gathered the his spare energy to his core. He force it and the energy of the barrier out, causing a large burst of power around him. Caedis then booked it for the door and got Mara inside. He used his powers to shut the door and then looked at her. "Please, don't come out after me." He said to her and dove into a nearby shadow then reappeared outside.

"but but.....but...dont!"
she was cut off as a round blasted through the door and popped clean through her belly. her eyes widened and she shivered falling to her knees

Caedis saw the round go through the door and immediately pieced together that it had hit her. His eyes widened and he straightend up, turning human and stepping out where the bandits could see him. Caedis's right eye became just like his left one and he let out another inhuman roar. He rushed forward as Elrune dissolved and became claws on his hands. He slash through a couple of the bandits and started rushing for more of them.

they all quickly gathered most of them standing their ground but others this was the last straw. they where fighting somethign they did not fully understand and broke into a full retreat

Caedis fromed balls of explosive dark energy in his hands and threw them at the bandits. He growled viciously at them as he attacked and the orbs exploded upon hitting something. Once they all had fled, he became his normal self and rushed into the doors. "Lady Mara!" he shouted as he burst in, worried about her.

she lay in a puddle of blood gasping loudly holding the bullet wound

"Lady Mara!" He rushed over to her and knelt down. He looked at her wound and then at her. Caedis pulled her close to him and looked at the wound. He the bullet had gone right through her. He pulled out a bunch of bandaging from a pouch on his belt and started to wrap her up. He also put some herbs in her hand and told her to chew them to kill the pain.

"...its....I need......"
she weakly touched his hand trying to pull it over her face pressing her finger nail into it. though she was too weak to do it all. blood now flowed from her mouth as she coughed weakly

Caedis looked at her. "What is it, Lady Mara?" He asked her. He was worried about how weak she was getting. He had managed to stop the bleeding from the initial wound, but was worried about the internal damge.

she cringed gasping. her breath gave a soft mist of blood.
"...I...need...."
with what little strength she had left she managed pushing her finger nail into his palm letting just a few drops land in her mouth and eye. she quickly moved his hand to her wound trailing the small dribble of blood down her body

Caedis didn't understand why, but he understood what it was and thats all he needed. He formed the Elrune claws on one hand and stabbed them into his already cut palm. He let the blood leak from his hand to her wound freely, twisting the claws so he would bleed more.

she cringed and trembled gasping loudly
"....it.....I...."
she spasmed lightly but her would near instantly closed and soon her spasms stopped and she lay gasping air

Caedis slowly wrapped his hand in a few bandages and nodded. "Of course, Lady Mara." He said as he finished. He looked at her curiously. "Why did you need my blood? Wraith blood doesn't have healing qualities."

she smiled weakly
"...I ...didnt know you where....a wraith.....hee hee....I guess ...we are both monsters......"
she licked the blood on her lips with one quick motion letting him get a quick look at the odd teeth. they where all canines all her teeth where pointed and looked a bit like dog teeth
