"Of course.. I wouldn't have wanted to miss that for anything." Kotarou replied, smiling gently.
"Yes, that supernatural.." Kota' continued, dropping his voice as well. "I haven't gotten any closer to figuing out what she's planning... What about you? Any idea why she even entered in the first place?"

As he finished, Kotarou took a brief glance about and then took a sip of his coffee, enjoying the warmth of it.

Kotarou gently squeezed back in return and kept hold of Pearls hand.
"Don't worry.. I'm sure no matter what happens, everything will be fine." He said reasuringly.
"How is your leg doing by the way? Did the herbs and bandage help?" Kotarou asked, his voice taking on a more concerned tone.

Kotarou looked at pearl and stared into her eyes.
"Well.. I've been thinking about it and I wondered.. Does the Alpha Pair actually have to become a couple?
The way I see it.. The Alpha's have to lead the pack, that's the job. But I don't see why it wouldn't be possible for us to have who we desire as our partner.
I don't see it any differently from my old pack.. We only ever had just one Alpha and he'd choose his wife from the females of the pack."
As Kota' said the word 'wife', his face blushed bright red at his imagination which started to drift off in a different direction.

"But I want to be with you.. No.. I need to be with you. No matter what happens. If you don't get Alpha, I'll make my opponent from the fight the Alpha instead." Kotarou said steadily, never taking his eyes off of Pearl as he spoke.
"I'd much rather give up my rank than you."

"Damn it.." Kotarou growled through gritted teeth.
That wasn't the reaction he'd been hoping for.. But he should've guessed it was to be expected.
The whole reason Pearl was fighting for the Female Alpha position was because she wanted to lead the pack.. Kota' had only entered the festival after being told about it by Isabelle because he thought it would be a good way to proove himself...
He'd never really planned or expected to be awarded the position as the packs Male Alpha.
"Sh*t.. What'm I gonna do..?" He mumbled to himself, wrapping his arms over his head as he put his face down onto the table top. "I'm not suited to be a leader.. Pearl's right.. I should be thinking of the pack..."

Picking his head back up, Kotarou lent back in his chair and let out a long sigh.
"I need to get out of here..." He told himself.
Standing up, Kota' drained the last little bit of his coffee and pulled out more than enough money to cover the drinks before grabbing his jacket and heading out the cafe door.
Standing outside, Kotarou took a deep breath and pulled on the jacket before setting off to the woods...

Kira walked into the cafe that morning. It was around 10am so it was more like afternoon. She ordered a muffin and a cupp of hazelnut coffee light and sweet before sitting down at a table near the front windows. She wanted to watch the town wake up and begin their days. She loved watching other peoples lives. She smiled to herself as she watched a human couple walk by for a day of shopping, a mother pushing a stroller, an elderly couple crossing the street. Kira loved watching life. She always had even when it was denied her she still like to watch. She was startled when the cashire placed her muffin and coffee on her table. She must have not heard her name get called. "Thank you so much!" she said adding a small apology and handing her an extra few dollars for her trouble before she went back to gazing out of the window, mesmerized by all of the passing people. she wondered what they're lives might be like if any of them had had a hard time growing up. If any of them had been raped, locked away, or beaten. She wondered if any of them had had a father who died when they were younger. She wondered if any of them had experienced anything like she had growing up.
