Mitsu wasn't sure how to respond at first, Riyo's face didn't exactly fit the bill though perhaps Mitsu felt sorry for her a bit....mostly because it was so awkward looking. " I...I don't..." And then the feline's face had taken a dive into the depths of pitiful. " Ah! Like that! That's perfect, Riyo." Mitsu was in awe of Riyo's ability to pick up on it so quickly. Excitedly she clasped her hands together in front of herself, beaming brightly. Though when Xiu smiled, Mitsu was captivated. There was no doubt that Xiu had the cutest smile. " Ah, Xiu you do that so well." It was almost easy to forget they were helping Riyo win a bet. It was more like they were playing dress up which Mitsu really never got to do. And if the training in cute wasn't enough one look at Hel's masterpiece was enough to send Mitsu's mind into a spiral. " Oh Riyo, that hair style shows off your face so nicely. You're so pretty." Mitsu was gushing now, bouncing almost excitedly. " I can't wait to see you in the dress too, you'll look amazing! Hel you did such a good job."

"Ah... it is?" Her terrifying face apparently worked as cute. Alright. All she had to do was think of things that scared her and she had this in the bag. Now for Xiu's input.
Smile? That's it?
Oh no, that wasn't it. Somehow Xiu managed to shine as she cocked her head to the side all cute like. The feline couldn't rightfully understand it. They just... Appeared out of thin air.
"Something like... This?"

Riyo had never been very good at smiling on command. In fact, she was downright awful at it. At least happy smiles. Oh, she could do menacing smiles until dusk... But uh...
"Am I sparkling yet?" The ghoul asked through her teeth. Her mouth was starting to hurt.
While Hel playing with her hair seemed to relax Riyo, the fact that there was only one piece to the dress... Did not. It appeared that the progress was good, though. "P-pretty?" That word in the same context as her name was a shock to the ghoul's system. "Me?"
Silently, she reached back to gently touch Hel's handiwork, a look of awe on her face as her fingers traced the almost complex twirls and braids her hair created. It was... Amazing. And she hadn't even seen it yet. "Nobody's ever done my hair before..." Seemed like there were a lot of firsts today.

...
And suddenly, Xiu was clinging to Mitsu's arm, her arms curling around the Lycan's as she stared up at Riyo's smile with a vaguely terrified look flickering over her face. Was Riyo mad at her?! W-what did she do wrong-0-
--Oh. No. That was just her attempt at a cute smile.
...
"N-no, you aren't sparkling yet, but uh..." She looked from Hel, to Mitsu, and then to Riyo. The ghoul was silent as she took in the bakeneko's new hairstyle, her hold on Mitsu's arm loosening. "But...but maybe we're not going about this the right way? Maybe it's not cute that Riyo needs, but...elegance." At least, that's what she thought of when she saw the hairstyle coupled with the qipao dress--an elegant lady.

Hel didn’t need to be told twice and Mitsu and Xiu were as cute as buttons. She knew that they were both as cute as buttons, if not cuter. Xiu sparkling? Somehow she wasn’t surprised.
The ghoul grinned lightly as the other ghouls seemed to take rather well to what she was doing with Riyo’s hair, and when Riyo herself started to reach back to touch it, Hel lightly shooed her fingers away. “Hey, hey! I am not finished yet. You can touch it all you want when I am finished.” When Xiu gave her a look, Hel just shrugged. She didn’t know all about this cute business, but she perked up as Xiu offered up the word elegance. “Ah yes, I think that is more in line with Riyo, ya?”

As soon as Riyo gave her attempted at a bright sparkling smile Mitsu's ears fell back almost limply, her eyes growing wide with fear. That smile was rather...sinister. It was like the feline was plotting the cruelest of deaths for them. There would be pain, torture, and no doubt agony. That smile promised so.
"U-umm y-yes elegance. That seems like a good idea." Mitsu nodded stiffly at first before trying to relax realizing now she was clinging to Xiu just as much as she was clinging to her.

Almost immediately after Riyo noticed Xiu and Mitsu's terrified looks, she stopped 'smiling'. Well... Obviously she wasn't sparkling...
"Okay, okay." With a sigh, the feline moved both her hands to her lap, still as a board so the ghoul could finish with her hair... Not that she minded this pampering. It was an odd sensation, and all at once she liked it, but despised it for the closeness it called for.
"Elegance?" Hah, elegance. Riyo couldn't help but scoff and roll her eyes. "You want me to be like one of those dainty upper crust demonesses, right?" Riyo raised an arm to her forehead and looked as if she was about to swoon. "Oh dear sir, I am overwhelmed by the overflowing coin in your pockets." It was a mocking breathy voice, but it was obvious she had a rough idea what they were talking about. "I see those kinds of people in restaurants all the time. Nose up in the air, walking like they're on eggshells, pretending to be just as important as the men they're hanging off of. Ugh... Jack help them if they actually had to do something for themselves."
As she spoke, the hazcat that usually followed her around approached, watching curiously as Hel braided his master's hair. "Oh, good sir! Good sir!" The demon called to her now confused nergal. "I seem to have dropped my handkerchief. Could you pick it up for me? I dare say if I bend over, I might snap right in half!" She started fanning herself as if to emphasize the helplessness.
"That's what you guys are talking about, right? I just have to act like a useless lump of flesh?"

"N-not a useless lump of flesh!" Xiu protested, using Riyo's term, "I mean...you don't really have to pretend to be helpless. Maybe you can be...cool elegance?" Did that even make sense? Xiu wasn't sure, but that had been what she initially meant when she suggested elegance: a lady who held herself up tall, and radiated confidence and grace. Someone who never missed a beat, and who was rarely fazed by anything. A beautiful ghoul that made boils stop in their tracks and stare as they walked past--
Yeah, okay...maybe the baku had been watching too many movies.
She looked to Hel and Mitsu for support. They knew what she meant...right? The cool, elegant type seemed to fit Riyo fairly well, in her opinion!

Hel scowled, reaching up to pinch one of Riyo’s ears. “We said elegant, not helpess!” She reprimanded. Luckily, the valkyrie knew what the other two were trying to hint at.
“…Ah, I will tell you of my oldest sister. She is very elegant. She requires the aid of no one, but every move and action she makes is cool, calculated, and most of all, with grace. She is very refined. Men-folk flock to her like bees to honey and she feigns like she might let them have the pleasure of feeding from her palm, but no.” Hel took a deep breath, and then finished Riyo’s hair. The ghoul stepped back from her, and was grinning lightly as she looked it over.
“Confidence I think is rather crucial as well. If you are sure of yourself, no one has any reason to doubt you otherwise.”

Riyo might not have expected it but her imitation of the snooty upper class was comical enough that Mitsu at first snorted quickly covering her mouth trying to hold it in. This was no time to laugh, they were hard at work trying to help Riyo through a crucial time....and yet it was still funny. A mass of giggles finally escaped her, completely losing it when Riyo began to address her cat like he was a fine gentleman.
"I-I'm sorry," Mitsu said through her giggles still covering her mouth trying to reign herself back in.
It took a moment to compose herself, the smile on her face saying it would probably be fairly easy to set her off again. "I think I like you the way you are Riyo." Mitsu beamed, enjoying and even soaking up the lighter mood. It was true that while Riyo could be standoffish at times, crude, and blunt and maybe even a little deflating she still had a certain charm about her that couldn't be ignored. If she could just play up that part of herself Mitsu was certain the demoness would be fine.

The feline let out a nasty screech at the feel of Hel pinching down on her ear. "HEY! T-those are sensitive!" Her hands immediately retreated to her ears, shooting the valkyrie a nasty look. "Dear sweet Jack... Next time you do that I'll pinch you in an equally unpleasant place." Where she was referring, Riyo wouldn't say out loud, though she did glance towards Hel's chest momentarily.
"Eh. Cool elegance?" Riyo glanced back towards Xiu and shot her a confused look... Until Hel started to explain. 'Nothing like you, huh?' is what the feline wanted to say, but considering she was actually offering advice, it was time to bite her tongue.
Confidence, huh? "I guess I can do confidence." Honestly, the only thing she was really confident about was work... And even that was dwindling.
But she could pretend to be confident, right? Obviously she had at the school play. Shouldn't be too hard.
At least Mitsu seemed to enjoy her parody. The laugh at first surprised the cat demon, but what she followed up with shocked her. She stared at the ghoul for a few moments before reaching out to give her a gentle pat on the head, as if it was a reward for saying something Riyo had needed to hear for a long time. "Thank you Mitsu." At least someone liked her as she was. A cold b***h.
Felix had a seat next to the ghoul as she finally got a chance to run fingers down her hair. "This is nice." She'd thought that perhaps she wouldn't like it, since her hair was always free and flowing out in the wind... But having it in one place was convenient. Finally she stood and walked over to her closet door, opening it to reveal a mirror on the other side.
"Woah." Riyo practically didn't even recognize herself. Had it not been for the perfectly mimicked motion of her poking the braid, she probably would've figured it was a dirty trick. Maybe... She really did look pretty.
Up to this point, she was ignoring the fact that there was a dress specifically destined for her laying around... But it was hard to ignore it now that it was all that's left. "Ah. So um. W-why don't we have a tea break?" Looked like somebody was trying to stall.

Following the bakeneko towards the mirror, Xiu couldn't help but smile at her reaction, her tail flicking back and forth. Looking at Riyo's reflection, she tilted her head, giving the ghoul a gentle nudge. "You're really pretty, Riyo--Hel chose a good hairstyle for you, I think."
She turned to shoot the valkyrie and lycan an approving grin, before she suddenly blinked. Had Riyo said something about...
Tea? Xiu, unfortunately, was successfully distracted at the mention of tea. The ghoul perked up, hands clasped in front of her and pink eyes growing round. "Did you want me to grab some tea from my room, Riyo? Or maybe some spookies or snacks to go with tea?" Unsurprisingly, the baku seemed extremely eager at the suggestion. Now the only thing that was needed to distract her completely was if Riyo's cats came rubbing up to her legs again.

“Ya, I know. Why do you think I pinched you there?” Hel quipped back cheekily. The ghoul stood, brushing her hands over her apron to smooth it out as she observed the others in the room. So…what now? Did Riyo slip herself into one of those dresses…?
Er…wait...tea time? The reaper made a face. “…Uh…are we not here for a purpose? Surely the tea can come after, right?” Hel shot a look at Riyo. First, Hel wasn’t a big fan of tea. It was a weak drink, and second, well, it seemed like the cat demoness was trying to stall. For what reason, she didn’t really know.

The pat was a little unexpected but Mitsu tilted her head toward the attention non the less. "You're...welcome?" Mitsu wasn't certain what she was being thanked for but it was only polite to acknowledge it right?
When Riyo moved away to have a look at herself Mitsu was pleased with the ghoul's reaction. "Yes, you look lovely Riyo," Mitsu nodded toward Xiu to confirm only standing and grabbing hold of the long red dress Xiu had brought holding it up to the feline. Hel had a point, they were here for a purpose. "Yes, tea can wait. I want to see what you look like in the dress." And there was that. Mitsu was excited to see the completed look.

Haha, yes. Xiu had fallen for her distraction. "Oh, I have some t-"
Riyo's face turned to a subtle horror when Mitsu and Hel reminded them of the 'mission'. She couldn't believe she was going through with this. She couldn't believe this was happening.
"O-okay..." The ghoul mumbled and gingerly took the dress from Mitsu's hands, practically seething at the feel of the material at her fingertips. Oh Jack. This was the end. She would be the first demon in the history of ever to die from putting on a dress.
The feline retreated to the restroom, and stayed there for thirty minutes. Had she fallen in? Was there a window in there from which she could escape out of? No, she wasn't running, but by Candlejack she ******** wanted to! It had taken her that long to work up the courage to undress, and a couple more minutes to actually put the dress on. She felt so cold. So naked, even with that thin piece of fabric draped over her. Why was there nothing covering her arms? OR HER LEGS? AUGH! "I'm d-d-done..." The ghoul called out meekly, her arms and legs shaking in both fear and at the sudden temperature change.
But what was it she really feared? Was it the dresses, or the way she was perceived in them? The knob slowly turned, and two red eyes peeked out of the bathroom nervously. She eventually slinked out with her arms over her chest, orbs darting each way as if checking for danger.

Aww, no tea right now? The baku visibly wilted, but she immediately brightened up again as the real purpose of their gathering was brought up again. Right! Helping Riyo be feminine and...the dress! Soon, Xiu turned her own pair of eyes up to the bakeneko, hands clasped together in excitement as she stared at the ghoul expectantly. Riyo's hair was done, so all that left--for now, at least--was the dress!
While their friend grudgingly went to change, Xiu stooped down to play with the cats, scratching them behind the ears and tickling their chins. It wasn't until she heard Riyo's shaky voice emerge from the bathroom did she finally look up. And when she actually walked out...
"Riyo...you look so pretty!" That was the thing about qipaos--the dresses followed the body's curves carefully, and since Riyo was so slender, the dress--in Xiu's opinion--looked lovely on her! Just...a little short, especially the side slit, but that wasn't toooo big of a deal, right?
