"Not many have.." Shun murmured. It sounded like she was a bit skeptical, but he wasn't sure how to explain right now. In any case, it was worth looking into once they got back home. He just thought on it a little more, silently, until Mitsu brought up a change in subject.
"Well sort of. Since there's no trees there. It's mostly a flat rocky area with some grass. It has a good view of the area as a whole," he explained before looking ahead. A little beyond the clearing, he could see the rock face they'd have to scale to reach it. Well, there was a way around, but climbing would be the quickest way there, especially since he didn't have to set up the system of hooks. Those were already placed around the wall where needed.
"We're getting close to it, by the way."

"We are?" Mitsu asked looking ahead. The trees were clearing out a little but it didn't look like there was a clear view of anything. Just more trees and a rocky cliff side.
Maybe it was around the rocky face, Mitsu decided. It was possible that just around it everything would opened up and she would be able to see a big clearing and some of the surrounding area. That's what she thought anyway. She had no idea what the reaper really had in mind. Instead she followed beside him eager to see this outlook.
When they finally made it passed the line of trees Mitsu didn't stop at the rocky face and instead continued to move around it. She was pretty sure their outlook was in a different castle.

Once they were at the rock face, Shun paused to look up. It was about thirty feet high or so, but it extended to both sides a fair amount. That and the path up wasn't really all too direct. Crouching down, he set his bag to the ground to start pulling out supplies. It was then that he noticed that Mitsu was still wandering.
"Mitsu, wait. It's faster if we climb to it," he stated in a matter of fact type of tone. Perhaps if he acted like it was nothing (which to him, it was), she may be more open to the idea.
Maybe.

At the call of her name Mitsu paused looking back to see for the first time that Shun had stopped. How odd. And he was pulling stuff out of his bag. Maybe he wanted a break....
"C-c-c-climb?" She stuttered just as badly as she had her first day of school, her eyes turning to the rock face Shun had stopped in front of. "C-c-climb that?" She pointed up, getting dizzy just thinking about it. "I don't think...it just seems....are you serious?" She had started to panic a little, crouching down to hug the closest boulder to her as if to stabilize herself. It was most certainly a big deal to her.

That didn't quite work out as he had hoped, as the moment she realized what he meant, she just started to panic. Letting out a sigh, he put on his harness quick, then moved over towards her to hand the second one.
"I am. It's a lot quicker to climb there this way. I've done this before and I never got hurt. Plus, I promise you that I will not let you fall. It is pretty simple really," he said calmly while crouching down by her.

Quicker for him possibly but Mitsu knew if she gave it an attempt they would be here all day and night and she wouldn't get very far. No she would be lucky to get a few feet of the ground at best. More than likely she would get stuck.
When she saw Shun approach she gripped her boulder closer as if it were her only friend, her gaze shifting to the harness in his hands. Shaking her head she pressed as close to the boulder as possible. "B-b-but its so high." She was shaking now, large crimson eyes looking at him pleadingly. "C-can we just go around?" Though she still seemed to miss the fact that it would take them up. She would get to that hurtle once she got passed this one.

Looking at her softly, Shun held a hand out to her to try and help her back up to her feet.
"Give it a chance. I know you're scared, but there are times where you must face your fears. If this doesn't work out, we'll take the long way around," he said, keeping a gentle tone.
"Also there are higher scales. This one is actually pretty small comparatively. I mean. I can shadow step to the top no problem."

Shun seemed to be missing a few key elements to his thinking process. One, Mitsu was a wolf and not a monkey or goat. Climbing things just wasn't in her general standard. Sure she could jump really high but that was a random learning curve she would need to face if it ever occurred again. Two, she could not shadow step. This point seemed most important as far as her ability to not meet the ground with a devastating end. Three, he was really underestimating her fear of heights. Hadn't he been there for the tree incident? The tree hadn't been that high and yet it was still high enough.
"T..this is small?" Mitsu looked up again, her vision closing in around her making it hard to see. Quickly she looked away and back to Shun and his extended hand. Slowly she let go of the boulder but her hesitation was apparent as she slowly reached out toward him. "B..but I can't shadow step. What if I fall?"

"You won't fall. With the way we'll have the ropes set up, I'll be able to hold you in place. You could let go of the wall completely and you'll still be fine," he said as he held up the rope, "You just have to trust me. And keep your eyes up. Focus on reaching the top."
Shun paused for a moment.
"You.. do trust me right?"

And that was the dirtiest trick of them all. Of course Mitsu trusted him, she would follow him anywhere...and in this case anywhere involved scaling a cliff side. Sighing lightly Mitsu's ears fell back as she finally took Shun's hand. "I..I do trust you." Seemed her fatal flaw was personal loyalty, hopefully it didn't get her killed. Where would she end up if she died all the way out here? Surely not back at the school campus. Possibly the fear clinic?
Shakily she rose to her feet. She couldn't believe she was actually going to do this. "S-show me....what to do." The waver in her voice made it clear she was still scared. Mitsu would do her best to follow Shun's instruction but she wasn't entirely certain she would be able to do this.

"I won't let anything bad happen to you," he whispered before handing her the harness, "Put this on quick. I'll set up the ropes in the mean time."
If needed, he'd help her get it on, but he needed to set up their climb first. With the rope in hand, he quickly scaled upwards to do what he needed to do. Once that was through, he just rappelled back downwards so that he could help out the wolf girl.
Shun really hoped this would work. If she froze up while up there, he'd have to think of a way to get her down.

"Y..yeah," Stiffly Mitsu took the harness though she wasn't entirely sure what to do with it. It was nothing more than a mess of straps and buckles that looked somewhat similar to something you would put on your dog to walk it. Was this what she had been reduced to? A common mini pet? It made her ears droop all the more as she tried to see how Shun had his on only to watch him scale the cliff side with a rope in hand.
She went rigid the instant he was off the ground despite how easily he traversed up the rocky face of the cliff. It was hard to pull her eyes away afraid that at any moment he would slip and fall which only made it worse when he actually let go to rappelled back down. By the time he was back on the ground Mitsu hadn't gotten much further with her harness than when he had left her. In fact, she was mostly in the same spot still standing quite awkwardly clutching the mess of straps in her fingers.

Turning around, Shun saw that Mitsu hadn't made any progress with the harness. Furrowing his brow for a moment, he took it back before holding it out, lower to the ground.
"Step into the two big loops," he instructed. Once that was done, he did the rest, making sure that it was nice and snug, "This isn't too tight is it?"
Though he had stuck his finger between the strap and her side to test it out, he couldn't tell how comfortable it was just from doing that.

Shun had taken the harness and Mitsu shifted as he lowered holding the harness out for her to step into. She was so shaky she had to brace herself on his shoulders to avoid falling as she stepped into the hoops, standing still as Shun pulled the harness up her legs and secured it around her hips and waist. He even used the finger test that you do on a dog to make sure the collar wasn't choking in. Aww man.
"N..No I think this is fine?" At least she hoped it was. Once he was done, however, she didn't move. Her legs refused to take her anywhere. It felt like the fight or flight mode was about to kick in any moment.

Clipping the Caribeaner to her harness, Shun finished setting up the ropes so he could belay for her properly. Once all the setup was through, he looked to her, noticing that flighty stance she was taking. Furrowing his brow, he let out a sigh and pulled her closer, hoping to get her to relax.
"Relax.. it'll be alright. Keep focused on the top. Just pretend it's.. like climbing stairs."
