A Touch of SwordplaySomething every roleplayer wants to learn.Joint Roleplay 11Sosiqui Crispin woke up that morning feeling refreshed, and in a better mood than he'd been in for some time. He hummed a bit to himself as he went about the morning routine, getting dressed and eating the toast and jam that Toki brought, pondering what he could do today instead of sitting around and moping. It seems you took our conversation to heart, Shaiming observed, amused. "Mmhm... and I think, maybe... I have an idea..." A few minutes later, Crispin knocked on Morgan's door. mistalina13 Morgan had been stretched on the bed, listening to music again, with the headphones off, but the volume cranked. Hearing the knock on the door she sat up and hit the stop button on her mp3 player. "Who is it?" Sosiqui "'Tis I, your noble knight errant," Crispin proclaimed, opening the door just a sliver. "May I enter your chambers, fair lady?" Shaiming settled back and observed, amused. mistalina13 Morgan smiled. "Of course Crispin, come on in. How are you this morning?" She scooted over on the bed, to give him room to sit down if he wished. Sosiqui "Mmm... I was wondering... if you'd be interested in doing something with me and Shaiming?" Crispin grinned. "Something different." mistalina13 "Sure!" Morgan giggled. "What'd you have in mind?" Sosiqui "We thought, perhaps, that you might want to learn something," Shaiming said. Crispin nodded. "Something we could do together... and something that any roleplayer probably wants to learn." He ducked out into the hall and came back in with his old practice sword in one hand. "Want to give it a try?" He grinned. mistalina13 "Really...you two would teach me!?" Morgan was ecstatic, it'd be fun even if it was hard work to learn. Besides, she would have two wonderful teachers. Sosiqui "Well, I'd try... more like you'd whack at me, I guess. At least you'd have an actual opponent, I didn't when Shaiming taught me! He's a better teacher," Crispin added, a little sheepish - but he was still proud of how well he'd done. The training had made him fit, too. "This room is a bit too small to be used as a salle, though. Let's move to my quarters and move the chairs aside... and, Crispin, there should be another blunt blade somewhere in that hoard of mine."mistalina13 Morgan's mood had definately brightened. She got up from the bed and walked to Crispin's side. "Thank you, to you both." She said softly, then leaned over to give him a little kiss. Sosiqui "No problem," Crispin said, returning the kiss, lightly. "There's no reason why we have to be all gloom and doom, anyway. If we're going to change things, it has to start - here!" He grinned and took her hand. A shout for Toki, and some rummaging around by the Aoide, produced a second blunt sword. Once the furniture had been moved to clear a wide space, Crispin took the sword Toki had found and gave Morgan the one he had trained with. "Any words, o wise master?" "Be careful," Shaiming said, sounding serious. "I do not have any training blades, and I fear if I sent Toki to find some that he'd not come back for days. The weapons you bear are blunted, but they are true steel and they will hurt if you miss... no, I mislike this. I want some protection on you both."Crispin's brow furrowed. "But I don't have any armor..." "We will take cloth, and bind the blades, and heavy clothing on your arms and legs with more cloth," the dragon said, decisively. So Toki was sent, and the Aoide returned with his scrap bag and twine. Crispin sat down and picked through the cloth, trying to wrap his sword. "Like this?" mistalina13 Morgan smiled and followed along back to Shaiming's rooms, helped to move the furniture and all that. But the feeling of the sword in her hands was definately different than she expected, heavier for one. She was studying the blade, admiring the artistry of it until Shaiming's words caught her attention. Yeah this thing would hurt. She worked away at carefully wrapping the blade, glancing at Crispin's to see if she was doing it correctly. Sosiqui "That knot a bit tighter, there - good, Morgan," Shaiming said, lightly prodding Crispin to look at this and that on his behalf. "Maybe it'd be easier to just get long sticks," Crispin sighed as he finished binding his sword's blade and picked up some of the other cloth. "I think I'm going to need help with the other stuff... what should I pad?" "Everything... and no, long sticks would be foolish. There would be learning, yes, but the weight would be wrong. Someone trained on a stick would be useless if handed a real sword."Toki flitted about, pleased to have a job to do, and helped bundle cloth into makeshift padding that could be easily strapped on. Crispin made a face at it. "Okay... I think we're gonna have to help each other with this, Morgan. We're going to look like marshmallow people when this is done... patchwork marshmallow people!" mistalina13 Morgan listened carefully to Shaiming as he spoke. She knew a little about the mechanics of swordfighting, years of going to renaissance faires and watching mock duels and all of that. Though she guessed this little lesson would be far more educational. She giggled and grinned. "Alright...and it seems so." Sosiqui Crispin helped Morgan with her 'armor' as best she could, while Shaiming issued commands and criticism. "No, tighter there... don't impede the joint, you have to be able to bend! .... Are you trying to cut off her circulation, Crispin?"Finally it was okay - he hoped. "How's that feel? It's not too tight, is it?" The 'armor' was tied on to protect the arms and the legs, with another strip around the torso. "What about the face...?" "We're not going to do anything near the head," Shaiming said. "This is for fun, and the protection is to make sure it stays fun."mistalina13 Morgan moved and bent to test her range of motion. "I'm alright." She straightened out and pushed her glasses up her nose. "M'kay...my turn to help you then?" She smiled, rocking back and forth from her heels to the balls of her feet a bit. Sosiqui "Yep... same as you, I guess. Shaiming will help you if you need it." Crispin stood up and started pulling on the fabric 'armor', doing what he could for himself before turning to Morgan for the rest. mistalina13 Morgan did the best she could to help him, it was a good thing she had been paying attention while he helped her otherwise she would've been pretty well clueless. "Am I doing this right, Shaiming?" Sosiqui "I believe so, though I cannot see beyond Crispin's own field of vision..." Crispin moved a bit as the dragon tested the feel of the 'armor'. "It feels fine," Shaiming confirmed, after a moment. "Just a bit tighter on the right forearm."Crispin waited patiently. The 'armor' felt silly, looked sillier, and the swords were ludicrous in their swathed state - but it was much better than hurting each other badly. mistalina13 "Mkay." Morgan adjusted the ties on the right forearm piece. "That better?" She smiled a little. Sosiqui Crispin shifted again, this time under his own power. "Feels okay. Shaiming?" "Well done... now. To the swords, my students!" The dragon's voice was jovial again, and Crispin smiled - this was what they'd been missing, the past few days. He picked up his own cloth-wrapped sword. "Now... Morgan, first, the stance. Show me how you feel you ought to hold the blade. Come stand before us so I can see best, without knocking poor Crispin over with strain."mistalina13 Morgan reached down and picked up her own sword, thinking as she walked opposite Crispin and faced him. She took a deep breath, trying to relax and remember what she DID know about this. After a moment she took a position that seemed logical if nothing else. Some stance similar to what seen in a duel at the renaissance faire, sword in the right hand, gripped firmly but carefully, turned a bit to the side weight resting mostly on her back foot. She silently hoped it was right, or at least that Crispin and Shaiming wouldn't think her a total idiot. Sosiqui "That looks okay-ish to me....?" Crispin shrugged. "Shaiming?" "Hmmmm..." The dragon rumbled. "A passable start. Now, move, thusly." Crispin shifted stance and brought his own sword down in a few simple arcs, as if against an invisible opponent. "Repeat.""You didn't have to do that, I can do those moves on my own, y'know," Crispin grumbled, though he was smiling. mistalina13 Morgan giggled and smiled before concentrating and then did her best to repeat what she saw, managing to do so without too many large foul-ups. Mostly she was just trying to get used to the feeling of the sword, it's weight and balance. Sosiqui "Good," Shaiming said, approvingly. "Now, let us try it against an opponent - those same movements, Morgan, but this time Crispin will try and parry your blows.""Can I do it myself this time?" "Yes, yes, you can do it yourself," the dragon sighed. "But only if you hurry up, boy!"Crispin rolled his eyes, but cheerfully stepped forward. "Avast, ye scurvy dog," he proclaimed, and brought his own padded blade into a guard position. mistalina13 Morgan nodded, biting her lip trying not to laugh; thankfully she managed to stifle the urge after a moment and returned to the position she had started in, repeating the movements she'd done before. As Crispin parried them she hoped she had managed to do them correctly. Sosiqui "Well done, Morgan," Shaiming praised. "Your form is good, for a beginner; it will improve as you get used to the weight of the blade.""What about me?" Crispin asked, with a grin. "If you had missed any of those, you would feel my wrath," the dragon said with a mock growl. "Fine, fine - now what?" "Let me see... now, let us have Morgan parry. Crispin, will you slowly repeat the first movement? Morgan, you saw what Crispin did. Try and mimic him to block his blow; he will go slowly, to give you a chance to adjust."Crispin nodded, waited for Morgan to be ready, and moved at about half speed. mistalina13 Morgan nodded. Her turn to block now. She managed a little smile, to hide the small amount of nervousness that caught up with her. It was just the same as if she had been showing off a piece or doing something for any other teacher and she managed to fight that back. But with blocking Crispin's blows she didn't do quite so well at first. The first was poorly blocked, the second better and the rest hopefully getting progressively better as she adjusted. Sosiqui "Good, good!" Shaiming was pleased. "Now, let's try it faster, shall we?"Crispin nodded, waited once more for Morgan to prepare, and then did the sequence again, this time at full speed - though he still kept it gentle, in case she fumbled a parry completely. He didn't want to hurt her. mistalina13 Morgan was glad she had managed to get it right, at least by the end. She readied herself to parry again, and doing better now that she knew a bit better what she was actually supposed to do. Sosiqui "Good, good..." Shaiming said - and then, at the very end, Crispin suddenly found himself shoved aside as the dragon took control and changed tactics, attacking Morgan in a different way - not too fast to parry, but different from the rhythm Crispin had been keeping. mistalina13 That was something Morgan hadn't expected, there was something different about it, she had a feeling. "Shaiming?" It was asked as she did her best to parry, though not doing as well as she had against Crispin and nearly loosing her balance toward the end. Idiot, you should've been paying more attention. She chastised herself silently. Sosiqui Crispin reached out and grabbed Morgan's arm, to keep her from falling off-balance completely. "Are you okay? Shaiming, that was kind of a dirty trick!" "Not at all - there was no harm done, was there, Morgan?" The dragon was amused. "Proper swordfighting is not rote movement, and if you learn it as such, it will be useless in true combat. That was well done."mistalina13 Morgan let out a little squeak of suprise when she was caught, having expected to fall on her behind instead. "Thanks..." She smiled, her expression nervous for a moment before it relaxed and she nodded. "I'm alright, no harm done." The Dragon had a point, even though hoped to never find herself in real combat. Sosiqui "Good... now, let us try combining the arm movement with the leg movement..."Crispin demonstrated first, sometimes on his own, sometimes with the dragon's 'help', so Morgan could follow suit. mistalina13 So they spent a morning together in fun, learning and laughter. Just like the days past. Though Morgan was grateful when Shaiming finally said it was enough for the day. She was a bit sore, this wasn't a sort of activity she was used to, like Crispin was; though she knew it had been a good exercise. "I took dance as a little girl, you think my balance would better than it is." She laughed at herself, for all the times she'd nearly fallen. Sosiqui "Not so; it is a different sort of movement, and in dance you're not carrying a large weight... usually," Shaiming observed. The dragon was pleased. Not much actual progress had been made in terms of skill, but the time had certainly not been wasted by any means. "Well done, Morgan. Perhaps in future we will be able to locate a blade for you, for your liking - or, if the sword is not your favored weapon, some other type. It is well to have protection in these darker days."Crispin was flopped on the couch, his sweaty face belying the dragon's calm tones. "Phew... he worked you hard. No mercy!" mistalina13 Morgan leaned against the side of the couch Crispin had fallen onto and looked back at him, smiling. "Thanks, both of you, it was fun." She did her best to stretch out her sore muscles, then went and settled herself on the floor in front of the couch. Sosiqui "You are most welcome," Shaiming said, then raised his voice. "Toki!"The Aoide appeared almost immediately. "My lord?" He looked questioningly at Crispin. "Cold water, please, and some light sustenance - nothing too heavy. Perhaps fruit, if you've not depleted Lady Kishara's gardens.""Mmm..." Toki bowed. "Of course." He skipped out of the room towards the main hallway, obviously heading to said gardens. "Do you think he's really pillaging it to pieces?" Crispin made a face. mistalina13 "I'd hope not..." Morgan sighed, settling back against the couch, reaching up a hand to take one of Crispin's and closing her eyes. She just let herself relax for the time being. Sosiqui Crispin fiddled with Morgan's fingers, feeling content. The dragon had been right - this was much better. "In this room, with you... I don't think there's any kind of god that could do anything to destroy this now that I've found it again," he said, happily. Shaiming snorted, but it was the affectionate sort. mistalina13 Morgan turned to face him again and leaned over the couch to give give him a little kiss. "That's good darling." She smiled, then gave his hair a little playful ruffle with her free hand. Sosiqui "Oy, my hair is bad enough as it is without you... improving it," Crispin teased. "So what do you think of swordfighting, fair lady?" mistalina13 Morgan giggled. "Sorry...couldn't resist." She shifted a little, so she wasn't sitting on her feet. "It's fun to learn, though I don't know how practical it would be for me." Sosiqui "Well, we can keep at it... or maybe try some other stuff, I don't know what Shaiming has in that hoard of his... but it's not any more precious than you," Crispin grinned. "Am I too sappy?" mistalina13 "I don't think so." Morgan beamed, then leaned over again to give him another little kiss. "I think you're sweet."

Things That Go Shriek in the Night…or uhm…Early Morning Akuti anyone?Solo Roleplay 06What the hell?Morgan rolled over in her bed; it was still far too early to be awake but a strange scratching noise had brought her to some low level of wakefulness. The door to her room was pushed open slightly, though the hallway was still darkened. That means Toki isn’t even up yet.She grumped at the thought and focused again on trying to find the source of that noise. It had definitely been in her room. As predicted the scratching came again. Maybe a mouse? That wasn’t likely the Rabbit Aoide would have a fit. Besides what sort of sane creature would choose to live in the den of the Destruction. Then again, she’d chosen to stay here so what did that make her? After forcing herself to sit up she yawned and groped blindly by her pillow for her glasses. That’s right; I left them on the desk…Morgan was thoroughly unhappy about the idea of leaving her bed, but she did so anyway. She had to find out what that scratching was, or it would keep her up the rest of the night. After taking the few steps to her desk she groped around again for her glasses not that they would do her any good in the dark. Except her hand found something furry rather than the familiar metal and plastic of her glasses… It took her biting her own lip to keep from letting out a typical feminine shriek. What the name of...whatever god was that!?!But it seemed whatever it was she had touched did not share the same need to remain silent. It let out an odd sort of short shrieking chirp…she must have frightened whatever it was as well. In haste she went for the quickest thing she could find to bring light into the room. A small pocket flashlight procured from one of her bag’s pockets and pointed it toward her desk in an attempt to find what it was that was in her room. All she found was what resembled a small winged guinea pig, nestled right beside the pot of flowers that Lady Kishara had given her.

My Beloved, My Lord DragonMeeting him again....and for the first time.Joint Roleplay 12mistalina13 The waiting was begining to grate on her, how much time had passed? Not that it really mattered, Toki came had come to tell her some time ago that it had finally begun. Since then she'd remained in her room, trying to find something to occupy her mind. Despite what Shaiming had promised, she was still worried for the both of them...and what would befall afterward. She had paced her room, tried to read...to sketch, to paint her figurines. Nothing could distract her, so she had simply taken to sitting on the side of her bed, petting the little winged guinea pig creature, waiting in silence and staring at the door. Sosiqui Morgan's door was the scariest thing the newly reborn Dragon King had ever seen. It seemed to loom at him, a dread portal, and Tian Yue bit his lip and brushed nervously at his hair. Toki had found a simple yukata for him to wear, as the process of melding with Shaiming had changed him physically - not a great deal, but enough to make his old clothing a poor fit. Somewhat taller, somewhat broader in the shoulders, somewhat pointer in the ears and claws... and, of course, the tail. Said tail lashed around under the folds of the yukata; he hadn't quite figured it out yet, and sometimes it seemed to move all on its own, without any input from him.
Tian Yue forced himself to stare at the door, and felt nervousness twist his stomach. He loved Morgan, that hadn't changed one bit... but he had changed. Would she still care for him, or would the differences scare her away, and make her mourn for Crispin?
But he was Crispin. Sort of. He was Crispin more than he was Shaiming, at any rate.
Tian Yue took a deep breath, then knocked on the door before he could get too panicky about his prospects. mistalina13 Even though she had expected it at some point the sudden knock on the door made her jump to her feet, causing the akuti to tumble from her lap let out an angry chrip at the sudden drop and flutter over to sit itself on her desk. Her heart started to race, who was it though? Toki, come to fetch her, Nebula....or...? She swallowed hard and tried her best to find her voice. "Come in...." Sosiqui Tian Yue gulped and pushed open the door a little bit. The face that peered shyly into the room was Crispin's, essentially, except for those little differences... and he had no idea what to do. He hadn't expected to even be here now!
And then, there she was, on the side of the bed.
"U-um," the young Dragon King stammered, stepping tentatively into the room, wondering where the courage Shaiming had promised had run off to. "Um... hi...?" His tail lashed back and forth once, whipping at the fabric constraining it, the scales flashing briefly beneath the yukata's hem as it moved. mistalina13 At first Morgan felt rooted to the spot. Any thoughts she had vanished as she stared at the reborn god that stepped into her room. She barely took notice of the changes, only really registering the fact that he looked mostly like himself. A few tears slid down her cheeks, Shaiming had done what he sought to do. After a moment she was able to take the few steps to close the gap between them, take hold of him, bury her face against his chest and started weeping. Sosiqui Tian Yue blinked, then wrapped his arms around her as she clung to him, not sure if this was a good sign, or a bad one - she was crying, yes, but she was crying in his arms.
"Morgan, it's... it's me... Crispin, kind of." The name felt slightly off, slightly incorrect - but it was more right for him than Shaiming, if less so than Tian Yue. "Shaiming, he..." He swallowed again, hard, and tried to think of how he could possibly explain, while trying to ignore the bittersweet feelings that arose at the mention of his dearest friend. "He made a choice..." mistalina13 Morgan looked up at him once her tears were spent. "I know, beloved." My Lord Dragon. She reached up and brushed his bangs away from his eyes. "I know." She smiled faintly and took a moment or two to get a better look at him. Sosiqui Tian Yue stared down at her and blinked again, this time in surprise. "You... know? How?" mistalina13 "He said he'd do what he could...to preserve you, and I trusted him." Morgan reached up and caressed his cheek. "I appologize for crying before." She blushed faintly and glanced away, it's not like she had meant to cry. Her feelings of the last while had just caught up with her. Feelings of happiness and yet an odd sort of mouring for Crispin and Shaiming who both were there and yet not, it seemed. Sosiqui "No... it's okay, I mean... I cried a lot too..." Tian Yue said, awkwardly. "And then there's this thing," he added, making a face as his tail tangled itself in his yukata. "I'm not sure what to do with it. There's all kinds of thoughts, memories, ideas and knowledge inside my head from Shaiming - and not one bit of it is about tails." He grinned, and scooped her up in his arms, then sobered a bit. "You're sure? That it's okay? I'm... not... quite how I used to be. My old name doesn't seem to fit right... I'm Tian Yue now. Can you love a dragon?" His smile was a little bit sad. Sosiqui Tian Yue stared at her, then laughed, a smile spreading across his face. "Do I - of course I do, you... you goober!" he teased. "A lot of things may have changed, but not that. Never that!" He twirled her around, briefly, then put her down with a gentle touch.
"A lot of things... there's power now. Actual power, real magic, but it's not as much as Shaiming had hoped." He sighed. "I tried making a shield like he promised Kishara we'd do as soon as we could, but it only went as far as the outside of this bulding, no further. Nowhere near the whole city." mistalina13 Morgan giggled again and grinned, hugging him again once he put her down. "I'm glad." She looked up at him and frowned slightly at the comment about the shield. "Perhaps, you have to grow into your power is all." That was the only suggestion she could of offer, at it was a conjecture at best. She tilted her head up and kissed his cheek. Sosiqui "I guess so. That was... not easy, all this." He gestured at himself and grimaced. "It felt like forever but Toki said we were only unconcious for five minutes before I woke up and the tail began to grow and stuff... I hope I didn't worry you if you heard screaming," he added, anxiously. "It, um. Kinda hurt... and then I was exhausted and fell asleep for a long time... got up, Toki helped me, tried the shield thing, came here. I had to see you... to know if you still loved me." Tian Yue bent down and kissed her, firmly, on the lips.
After a moment he withdrew, and smiled. "I can't bring the stars back yet, but I know someday I will." mistalina13 "I thought I heard something, but I wasn't sure...too busy preoccupying myself with hoping you were alright." She said sheepishly. "Why would you-" Her words and thoughts her cut off when he kissed her and when he drew back her cheeks were rather red. "Right now, I have the one I care about most back." She grinned and her earlier question resurfaced in her mind. "Out of curiosity, why did you worry I wouldn't love you?" Sosiqui "Umm..." Tian Yue looked sheepish. "I guess I was afraid - I mean, I'm not who I was anymore, not completely... and I was scared that the parts that changed might be the parts you loved..." mistalina13 "Beloved, to my eyes you don't seem so very different as you might think. You've matured, grown as a person. Shaiming helped you find the strength you've always had. Just because your a little different doesn't make you any less to me. Your the one I love, Tian Yue, for the rest of my life." Morgan smiled softly and hoped her words would be well received, even if they sounded naive, since she spoke from her heart. Sosiqui Tian Yue beamed and kissed Morgan again. "You're always... just... you know what to say. Hmm. So what can a Dragon King do for his princess today? There's something I've been wanting to try - but I'm not sure how it'll go..." His eyes were bright. mistalina13 This time she returned the kiss and laced her arms around his neck. "Mm..and what would that be?" She grinned, glad her words were well received. Sosiqui He laughed at her impish look. "It doesn't involve beds... though that might be an idea for later," he said, with a wink and a grin that he never would have managed without blushing in his earlier days. "More like... flying..." mistalina13 Morgan turned bright red and her eyes went a little wide. And he just said that casually, without blushing....Wow. It took her a moment to compose herself after that. "Ooh...sounds cool." Sosiqui "I haven't tried it yet, but I should be able to - well, shapeshift," Tian Yue said, a thoughtful look on his face. "Into a dragon shape. That's how I always appeared to Cr- no, I mean, that's how Shaiming always appeared to me." He sighed. "It's confusing, this whole merging thing. But yes. Shaiming always looked like a dragon inside my mind, and I can kind of feel the shape there, waiting to be stepped into..." mistalina13 "That must be interesting. Are dragons as beautiful as books say they are?" Morgan was more than a little curious, considering they were supposed to be some of the most noble and breathtaking creatures of the fantasy world. Sosiqui "Well... Shaiming was beautiful. Purple with a blue mane, Asian-type dragon, naturally... like the statues downstairs in the throne room. But I was thinking... I could try that, outside of course, and if it worked we could go for a fly." He grinned, a little nervous but excited. The sky and the dragonshape had a strange, sweet call to them. mistalina13 "Really?" Now that sounded cool. "Wow...." She remembered a few of the statues from the throne room, though not in any kind of detail seeing as she rarely went down there she could help it. "...and that sounds like it'd be fun." Sosiqui "Well, let's see... I'm kind of curious what it's like..." He laughed then, a joyful, incredulous sound. "This is - can you believe this?! I'm seriously standing here telling you about how when we go downstairs, I'm going to try and shapeshift into a dragon, and we'll go flying - and you love me and... pinch me?" He grinned and offered her his arm, to hold or to pinch, as she chose. mistalina13 Morgan smiled and laced her arm with his, then leaned up to give him another little kiss. "Better than a pinch, no?" Sosiqui "Mmm, much... Come on, let's go!"
He led Morgan out and downstairs, though he did peer furtively into the throne room to see if Lord Harmodius was there. He had a vague sense that he was somehow shirking his duty, a twinge of guilt - but no, he was really only taking the measure of his own power before presenting himself to his Lord. He smiled; that was true, and there was no deception. There was no rule against enjoying himself with his lover while doing so!
Once outside, Tian Yue made a face at the lava. "I forgot how much all this reeks... let's get further out... I don't want to put my tail in the lava."
A moment later, he stumbled as his tail twitched around one ankle, an instinctive movement of protection - but one he was utterly unprepared for as he stumbled along the ash-covered path. "Oof!" mistalina13 Morgan took a moment to look at the statues before they headed outside, making a note to herself to come back for a better look later. She frowned and wrinkled her nose once they got outside. She hadn't been out in so long she'd nearly forgotten how bad it seemed. She moved to catch him when he stumbled. "Very graceful." She was just teasing. "You alright?" Sosiqui "I'm fine, it's just - this damned tail. Thanks," Tian Yue said with a sigh, straightening and brushing himself off. Now he was ashy everywhere below his calves, wonderful.
After he untangled himself, he nodded. "Okay, let's see... there's flat beyond, where the road used to be, and no lava. That should work. Gosh, do you think I have to take my clothes off first, or does it work like a magical girl anime?" mistalina13 Morgan couldn't hold back the gigglefit from that comment, and it took several moments for her to get enough air again to form words. "I...dunno." She smiled, barely managing to hold back another gigglefit. Sosiqui "Hey, it was a serious question!" he protested, but grinned. "Mm... I think I'll go on the safe side." Quickly he untied the yukata and squirmed his arms out of the sleeves, though he let it hang loosely about him like a cloak; if the transformation didn't involve what he was wearing, at least he wouldn't rip the thing. As an afterthought he took off his glasses and handed them to Morgan. "Take care of them, please?" mistalina13 "I'm sorry." Morgan blushed and glanced away, not knowing if he'd outright strip or not. She glanced up at him shyly, when he handed her his glasses. "Of course, beloved." She smiled and rocked up on her toes to give him a little kiss. Sosiqui "Thanks," he said, and returned the kiss with a smile before backing up. "Um. I'm... not sure how big... so you might want to stay back. I don't want to hurt you accidentally."
Once he was far enough away from her that he wasn't worried, Tian Yue took a deep breath and let his eyes drift closed, seeking the dragon shape. It was there in a heartbeat, waiting for him, and with another deep breath, he moved to step into it.
There was a wave of disorientation, accompanied by a sudden 'whump' sound as air rushed away, displaced by the sudden appearance of dragon. To Morgan, the shift was visible only as a hazy distortion that shifted from human to dragon, leaving behind a purple-scaled Oriental dragon the size of a large horse, with a blue mane rippling down his back, a fan spreading out from his tail, horns lightly curving from his head.
Tian Yue stumbled, then opened his eyes and blinked. No haziness - his eyes were perfect in this shape. He took a step and nearly fell. Too many limbs! mistalina13 Morgan nodded and kept her distance as he asked, waiting and watching curiously. Her eyes widened a little when she saw him shift. Absolutely beautiful... "Wow..." It was all she could manage as she walked to his side. Sosiqui Tian Yue turned his head and looked at her, for a moment surprised at how small she was, then opened his mouth in a toothy draconic grin. "This is the coolest thing EVER," he rumbled, thrilled. He turned and looked at himself as much as he could. I look like Shaiming...
Glancing up, he saw the stars, and immediately felt them calling to him. He slowly got to his feet, remembering how the dragon shape worked - it was so easy - and whuffled to Morgan. "Climb on - the stars are singing. I must go to them!"
Tian Yue knelt down low so she could climb on and sit behind his head, able to hang on to his horns and mane. mistalina13 Morgan laughed, "I bet it is. Your dragonshape is beautiful." She carefully climbed up once he bent down, settling herself behind his head and running her hands through his mane gently. "So...hang onto your mane, I'm guessing, beloved?" Sosiqui "Yes - just hold on, you won't hurt me. I won't let you fall," he reassured her, trying not to shift back and forth in his eagerness to just fly. Now that he was here, with her, in this form, with the stars - gnawed by Destruction, but old friends! - he could hardly wait to go.
The instant she was on his back and he sensed she was secure, Tian Yue tossed his head lightly. He stamped his back feet and launched himself up into the air with a whiplike crack of his tail, and a roar. The air rushing around his long body felt wonderful, like nothing else, and he rumbled low with pleasure.
"Well?" he asked, wishing he could see the look on Morgan's face. mistalina13 To her it it had been the same sensation as roller coaster when he took to the air, but far less terrifying since she knew she was safe. Morgan giggled and grinned as she looked around. It seemed a bit less bleak from up here. "It's wonderful up here, thanks for bringing me." Sosiqui "I'll have to try out more... acrobatic... ways of flying when you're not with me," he rumbled back, pleased beyond words. Though the sky was mottled and bruised, stars dim or gone, he could still hear them singing. This was his element, or as close to it as he dared go with Morgan - while he instictively felt that he could go up, and up, and up without harm, he wasn't sure if the same would be true of riders.
He coiled lightly and flicked his tail, using the long fan as a rudder with ease, turning. The Pantheon was far below, and he realized with a start the extent of the destruction. The coast lacked water, yet far away he could see the glimmer of it, with distant skyscrapers on the edge of the horizon. Koiso, perhaps. "Is there anything you want to see?" he asked. mistalina13 Morgan chuckled. "Alright..." She looked around again, and shook her head. "Nothing comes to mind really..." This little trip had given her an idea for something to paint though it'd likely take her a while to manage it. "Mmm..and you wouldn't be interested in a massage when we got back, would you?" It was the best way she could think of to thank him for their little adventure today. Part of her wondered if he would appreciate them as much as Crispin had seemed to in the past. Sosiqui "Absolutely - I'm kind of achy from, you know." He made a flip of his tail. "Everything, really. And..." Tian Yue rumbled low, the sound making his sides vibrate for a moment. "I'll never protest more time with you."
Impish and gleeful now, the dragon banked gently one more. He could see the Pantheon below, and the large skylight above his bed - and it was open. He smiled. Good, Toki.
"Would now work?" he asked, with a wicked tone in his voice. mistalina13 Morgan giggled again, letting out a little squeak when he rumbled. "Glad you feel that way." She grinned a little nervously, wondering what he could possibly be up to, when she heard his next words. "Uhm...sure..." She obviously hadn't noticed the skylight. Sosiqui "Good. Hang on." Tian Yue grinned, then let out another roar before flicking his tail and angling his body down into a dive. It wasn't fast enough or sudden enough to make Morgan feel in danger of falling, but it was definitely swift, down towards the Pantheon below, and the open skylight.
As the roof loomed closer, he roared again for the sheer joy of it, then whipped through the skylight. Above the bed he released the dragon-shape, and grabbed for Morgan as he fell the remaining five feet into the softness of the bed, laughing as he caught her, his eyes bright. mistalina13 Morgan clung to him as they fell the last few feet, her eyes squeezed shut. She wasn't terribly fond of falling and only opening her eyes after a moment or two to look up at him, managing a little smile. "Mischevious dragon." She teased and cuddled up to him. Sosiqui "Mmhm." Tian Yue grinned at her, his face beaming and slightly flushed, then leaned in for a kiss. He wasn't sure where the yukata had ended up, but at this point he didn't really care. "That was amazing. You are amazing, you know that?" mistalina13 She kissed him in return and blushed at the compliment, quite speechless for moment. Sosiqui "So... now what?" Tian Yue asked, impishly. "Massage time? Or... maybe for that idea we had earlier... involving beds?" He grinned, and moved to nibble lightly at one of her ears. mistalina13 Morgan's blush deepend and she made a little appreciative noise when nibbled on, still a little suprised by how forward and affectionate he was. "Massage first..unless you'd rather..." Her voice just sort died off after that. Sosiqui "Only if you'd rather, love - it's your choice," he said, with a grin, and pulled back a little. mistalina13 "Massage first, then we'll see." Morgan nodded, though partly she was secretly curious about well, ya know, it'd likely be quite different than last time. "Oh yeah." She shifted a little and reached into her pocket, plucking out his glasses and offering them to him. "You might want these back." They were in the same condition as they had been when he asked her to hold onto them earlier. Sosiqui "Oh... that would explain why you weren't nearly as exquisitely beautiful as usual," he teased, taking the glasses back and putting them on. "There - now you're absolutely perfect."There was a polite cough from the doorway, and Tian Yue perked up as Toki poked his head in. "Did you find the skylight to your liking?" "Marvelous, Toki," Tian Yue said happily."Good!" The Aoide beamed. "And good day to you, Lady Morgan. I trust Tien Lung is to your liking?" Tian Yue gave Morgan an aggrieved look. mistalina13 She glanced toward the door and nodded to Toki, smiling brightly. "He's wonderful." She sat up and gave him a kiss. "Absolutely wonderful." Sosiqui Toki beamed as though he'd been responsible for the whole thing. "Good. Good! Ah, you do Lord Shaiming credit, both of you, bless him." He nodded vigorously. "Can I bring anything, my Lord?" "Hmm... ice water and... er. Something to eat. I'm hungry," he realized. The morph had burned energy, as had the transformation and flight - now that he was aware of the need, he was amazed he hadn't noticed it sooner. "Lots of something to eat."mistalina13 Morgan cuddled close to Tian Yue again, letting out a little contented sigh and looking up at him after a moment or two. "It's nice, just being here with you." It was mostly murmured, she reached up to touch his cheek afterward and smiled softly. Sosiqui "I didn't think I would be, ever again," Tian Yue admitted. "Back... before." The memories were there, twinned with the ancient memories of Tien Lung - two lives, two timelines stretching back, the mortal one so short and sharp compared to the long flow of a Dragon King's existence. "But - I will have duties. I should present myself to Lord Harmodious once I have recovered." He shivered a bit, and whether it was from dread, or awe, or even eagerness, he could not say. mistalina13 She nodded and sat up, "And I will be here when you return, my lord, I promise." She reached out and took one of his hands, kissing the back of it and nuzzling it. "I love you, so very much."

The Beastmaster and His Dog...er DogsMorgan befriends another Aoide.Joint Roleplay 13mistalina13 Another day, another wandering adventure since Tian Yue was otherwise occupied for the time being. On the way out the winged guinea pig had fluttered after her, chittering annoyidly for being left behind. He wasn't happy until he was perching on Morgan's shoulder again. Morgan reached up to pet Paint as she made her way down the stairs, pausing when she reached the throne room. After taking a quick peek out to see if the throne was empty, and indeed it was, she headed out quickly making her way out of doors, passing the lava before the stopped again. "Which way shall we go today, Paint?" She asked the creature on her shoulder as she reached over to pet him again. Paint made a little happy noise in reply. "Guess I'm on my own on this one, huh?" Morgan looked back at forth at different parts of the landscape and considered her options. Thabara Ishum was resting on a second floor windowsill of a ruined building, letting one of his legs dangle lazily and enjoying a little snack of chocolates he had found when he had been searching the abandoned stores for more useful things. The Cerberus and the two Siirae were not visible from his point of view, but he knew they must be nearby, probably trying to hunt down some little rodents to tear appart or something.. if there were any left, that was. His eyebrows rised when the girl left the Pantheon, and he hastily rummaged through the bits and pieces of information he had gathered about the temple's inhabitants, trying to evaluate if it was safe to speak to her or if she might turn out to be some vengeful, unforgiving goddess. He had seen her before, he finally realized, in company of the dragon-boy. So this had to be.. Morgan? And what, my, was that delightfully cute, colorful, fluffy little something on her shoulder? Curious now he leaned forward a little more, dangerously close to losing his ballance. mistalina13 "Toward town today I think..." With that Morgan started on her way toward what remained of the town, thought it wasn't much, at least of it was still standing and it seemed a tiny bit less bleak then the rest of the landscape. Paint fluttered his wings and made little cheerful chirping noises as she walked along. Thabara And it was chirping too~! Excited the Aoide leaned forward a little more - a little too much actually, as he noticed when the windowsill he was sitting on gave off a grinding noise, indicating quite clearly it was not as stable as he had thought. Uh-oh.Luckily his fall wasn't all that deep, and the panicked flutter of his golden wings slowed it down somewhat, but still - his 'landing' was far from being graceful. What an embarassment! "Ouch," he said, once he could actually breathe again. mistalina13 Hearing a crash not too far off made Morgan jump. What the hell! She looked around wondering what had fallen and where. The dust floating up into the air was a dead give away. Aha! Curiosity getting the best of her she went for a look. Paint had taken to the air when she jumped, letting out a little suprised/angry chirp. He fluttered after Morgan, eventually catching up and resettling himself on her shoulder. Thabara Ishum was still busy brushing dust and rubble off his clothes when she reached him, and taking stock of his injuries. There were a few bruises, but certainly nothing worse than what he usually gained when he wrestled with his 'pets'. What actually hurt most, was his pride. His Lord had been right. Gravity was definitely not a nice thing to have around. With a pout on his face he flapped his wings a few times in a feeble attempt to free them from dust, and sneezed. mistalina13 "Oh my....are you alright?" Morgan glanced up, wondering where he had fallen from and noticed the window; that was likely the place. Her gaze fell back to the young man. He looked normal enough, apart from the wings, but what was he doing here? Thabara "Yes, yes I am, thank you. I only fail at using my wings, it seems." He grinned at Morgan somewhat sheepishly, but quickly enough his gaze was distracted by the fluffy little something on her shoulder, and he let out a cooing sound. Every intention he might have had about introducing himself was completely forgotten. "Pardon me if I'm being too bold," he said, inching a little closer and giving Morgan his best begging look, "but may I.. may I pet it?" mistalina13 Morgan smiled, "Good." She giggled when he noticed the fluffy creature on her shoulder. "I don't see why not, assuming he'll let you. Might I ask your name?" Paint made himself look his cutest and fluttered his wings when he noticed the male looking at him, making a little chittering noise in greeting. Thabara "My..? Oh, my apologies, I completely forgot! How rude of me.." He stepped back a bit and bowed deeply. "I am Ishum, faithful servant to Nergal, the Overseer of Souls.. His beastmaster, actually," he added proudly, peering up at her through his bangs. "And you must be Morgan, the most beautiful consort of Dragon King Shaiming, yes?" If he got it wrong he'd be so screwed.. mistalina13 "S'alright..." Morgan smiled warmly, despite the fact that his formality made her cringe inwardly. Servant of Nergal, he was another Aoide then. "Tian Yue, actually." Reaching up she brushed a lock of hair behind her ear. "But, everything else is correct. It's nice to meet you Ishum." She offered her hand to him, not knowing any other way to go about this. Thabara "Tian.. Yue..?" Ishum blinked confused. He was quite certain he'd never heard of a Dragon King by that name.. "It's nice to meet you too." He smiled, but grabbed her hand only hesitantly and let go of it quite quickly - it seemed terribly informal and almost impolite to greet a god's consort in the ways of a mere commoner. mistalina13 "That'd take a lot of explaining...really, and I don't understand it entirely. But, he's Shaiming's successor." Morgan frowned a little when he let go of her hand so quickly. "I'm not fond of all the formal stuff, so you can relax." Though she supposed at some point it be a neccesity that she got used to it. Thabara "Well, if there.. if there wont be any consequences for not treating you according to your rank..?" Ishum wiggled his wings, still seeming a little uncertain about it. "I mean, I'm not fond of the formal stuff either, but I'd rather make sure before I accidently end up being impolite to the wrong person, like.. Someone like Nergal, for example." The next moment he slapped his hands over his mouth, eyes wide. Oh dear, it had happened again, how came that he always ended up badmouthing his master? "You have not heard that," he whispered somewhat panicky, " please." mistalina13 "I won't tell anyone, don't worry." Morgan patted him on the shoulder. "As long as your not outright rude, not that I think you would be, I don't mind." She couldn't help but giggle a little and shake her head. "I didn't hear a thing, alright?" Thabara "Alright." Ishum breathed a sigh of relief, his wings flopping down a little after they had practically quivered with tension before. "Well, now that we've become properly acquainted, would you like to see my pets?" he asked happily as he stuck out a finger to playfully waggle it up and down in front of little Paint. mistalina13 "Oh, sure." Morgan grinned, though not really knowing what to expect, seeing as he was the beast master for the God of the Underworld and all. Though, one particular creature did come to mind, and she couldn't help but asks and feel a little silly afterward. "Is the Cerberus a real creature?" Paint fluttered his wings, following Ishum's finger up and down. "His name is 'Paint' by the way." She had noticed Ishum doting on the little fluff ball again. "Though, in truth, I'm not sure what it is." Thabara "Paint." Ishum laughed. "It sure looks like it. It's really cute," he exclaimed cheerfully, letting his finger go around in circles now. "I wished I had one like that.." There was a slightly begging look to his face, though he was quite sure she wouldn't give up such a great pet for him. "And Cerberus is real," he nodded, "very, very, very real. Only, actually, right now he's three. I'm not entirely sure how that happened." His wings drooped, and his shoulders sagged, as if this little mishap had been entirely his fault. He whistled quietly in a certain way, and only a little later something in the nearby shadows seemed to move.. mistalina13 "He wandered into the pantheon, I caught him in my room, drinking from the flowers I got from Lady Kishara." Morgan giggled, though didn't really seem to notice Ishum's expression. "It's real?" Her eyes widened a little; part of her wondered why she was so suprised, considering so many other things of myth had turned out to be real. She glanced toward the movement. What could that be?Thabara "Flowers? Poor little guy, he must have been starving if he lives of that.." He gently stroke the little Akuti's fur with the tip of his finger. "He was really lucky to find you then." He glanced over his shoulder and, upon taking notice of the movement in the shadows, he whistled again, in the way that was usually followed up by something like Here, kitty-kitty~ "Aw, come on, don't be such a coward!" Hesitantly, almost is if they were trying to cling to the beast's body, the shadows gave way to the biggest black dog ever, its head almost reaching up to Ishum's shoulder. Apart from that, it seemed to be fairly normal, on first sight at least. On second sight, one might notice the numerous dangerous looking spikes, or the closed eyelids all over its body, or the rather reptilian looking tail.. mistalina13 Paint made a little cheerful noise, fluttering his spotted wings. Morgan's attention was still on the shadows, and on the large dog creature that emerged from them. Spikes, the tail....and were those EYES? She swallowed hard and blinked, suddenly looking somewhat nervous. Definately a creature fit for the underworld.Thabara "Do you want to pet him?" Ishum asked cheerfully, seeming to be completely oblivious to the fact how terrifying the hound looked to Morgan. "He's harmless, really, he's already fed today." "Ah! There's the rest of him. Them. Whatever. I still have to get used to this.." He rolled his eyes and pointed behind where two more hounds appeared, looking almost identical to the first. mistalina13 Morgan opened her mouth, but could form no coherant words at first. "P-p-pet him?" She swallowed hard again. Him...them? So this was what had become of Cerberus then? Reading about such a creature was one thing, but seeing it was entirely another. She hadn't realised it, but she was shaking a little. Thabara It wasn't until he saw her tremble that Ishum finally realized Morgan was deeply scared by the Cerberus, and quickly he shooed the other two away. "Ah, so sorry about this," he hastily apologized. "I didn't mean to.. I mean.. They are so much smaller now that they are three, and much less dangerous looking. But, look~!" He hugged the remaining Cerberus around the neck which the hound let happen with a slightly annoyed look. "Completely harmless, see? There's nothing to worry about, unless you were, say, about to enter the Underworld without permission." He nodded fervently to emphasize what he had said. "Or if was hungry, but with a Dragon King's scent on you he'd never dare to take a bite out of you." mistalina13 Morgan let out a nervous laugh and did her best to calm herself. "Maybe, but still rather scary looking." She took a step closer to the large dog, looking it over again before putting her hand out to pet it. Thabara Cerberus, that was, one of them at least, eyed her hand cautiously before pouncing it with his wet cold nose and licking it. She had his.. its.. whatever! approval, it seemed. mistalina13 Morgan giggled. When the Cerberus acted like that, he seemed no more than a rather strange looking large dog. "Awh, so cute." She smiled, letting him lick her hand for a moment before petting him. Thabara "See? Completely harmless." Ishum beamed at her, and then lowered his voice to a conspirative whisper as he spoke on. "To tell the truth.. He wasn't exactly all that reliable as a guardian.. He's got those impressive scary looks, yes, but there are way too many ways to bribe him." He pouted a little and patted the hellhound affectionately on its head, which was promptly rewarded with happy tail-wagging. mistalina13 "Bribe him?" Morgan gave Ishum an odd look then shook her head. "Then again, nearly everyone can be bribed, at least these days." She continued to pet the Cerberus, er one of them, for a bit longer before drawing back her hand. "He's not so bad, once you can get past the outside sorta scary part." She smiled. Thabara "Well, not exactly bribe him, but.. there are certain things - tasty foodthings, you know - which he just can't resist. And that has been used." He pouted a little. "Those so called 'heroes' really used all kinds of tricks to sneak their way in." He gave Cerberus a quick pat on the back to send him off again. "Now, uhm, if I may ask.. The dragon king you live with.. I'm pretty sure it was Shaiming, and I have to admit I never heard about one named Tian Yue. I'm a little confused here." mistalina13 "Shaiming chose to merge with his host...and Tian Yue is what came of that." It was the simplest explaination she could offer that would still make any sort of sense. "But, my lord is still Tien Lung." She smiled faintly, hoping that would ease the Aoide's confusion. Thabara "Oh." Ishum looked a little perplexed but then his face brightened. "Lady Echo chose to merge with her host as well.. My Lord wasn't too happy about it at first, but in the end it fortunately didn't change her all that much.. She's pretty much the same still, and, boy, you could really tell how relieved Nergal was about it. She's really nice, you should come visit her some time." He sucked in his lip thoughtfully, apparently mulling over what he'd heard once more. "If he - your dragon king - if he chose to change his name the changes must have been a little more drastic though, I guess..?" mistalina13 "Your Lord suggested that to me as well, when I met him." Morgan reached up give Paint a scratch so he would know he wasn't being totally ignored. The strange little creature tended to get testy about that once in a while. She nodded. "His host remained dominant." Thabara "You met him?" Ishum looked a little panicky for a moment. "Uhm, just so that you know when you meet him again - I haven't told you anything, yes? Especially not about him. Or him and Lady Echo." He winked, making it plain obvous what he thought about what was going on between Nergal and Echo. "The host..? Whoa, I didn't think that was possible. Not like I'd be an expert on that but.. one would think a god's soul would be so much stronger.." mistalina13 "It was a while ago, I haven't seen him sense, but if I do come across him again I won't say a word. Rogue's honor." Morgan smiled, one of her old tabletop sayings had slipped out and she hadn't noticed. "It was his choice, to leave the host dominant. Beyond that I can't really say." She couldn't say because she didn't understand it all herself yet, even though she'd seen the new Dragon with her own eyes. Thabara " Rogue's honor?" The aoide gave her a perplexed look. "You know, rogues don't strike me as being exactly honorful.." Maybe he had misunderstood something? mistalina13 Morgan let out a nervous laugh, realising what she'd said. "It's partly a joke with friends, I wouldn't expect you to understand. Rogue is just a nickname I earned with my gaming group." An attempt an explaination that somehow she expected it wouldn't help all that much. Thabara "A nickname. Ah. Okay." He nodded, but definitely seemed a little confused still. "Say, Morgan.. Erh.. Would you like to be friends with me? Perhaps? Maybe?" Unconsciously he folded his hands together and twisted his fingers nervously, worrying that he might be asking too much. "You can come see me anytime, I'll stay behind when my master leaves again." He looked a little hurt about it, but only for a moment. "And if your little one - Paint - you can bring him to me if he should get sick, or injured, or something. I used to work for an animal clinic for some time." He beamed at her proudly, and as usual 'forgot' to mention the fact that it had mainly been the pet cemetery where he had done his work. mistalina13 Morgan nodded, she didn't see any harm in being friends with anyone provided she didn't get the feeling that it would come back to bite later. "Gladly Ishum." She smiled and patted him on the shoulder. "Now don't be so nervous, it's not becoming." She was just attempting to ease his mood. Thabara "Great! But wait, uhm, you don't know where to find me, right?" He didn't wait for the girl to answer but instead started searching through the rubble until he found a piece of a brick which wasn't too big. He shot a short glance at Morgan, giving her a shy smile, and then crouched down and started to draw something onto the cracked asphalt. It became obvious quite quickly that it was going to be an improvised map. "That," he said, pointing at a large square he had drawn up, "is the big black temple of doom. And that over there," he pointed again, this time at a smaller square with a smiley face drawn on it, "is where Lady Echo dwells. I'm staying there for now. It's not all that far, and really easy too find." mistalina13 At 'Temple of Doom' Morgan couldn't help but start giggling, though not at Ishum. It was just at his inadvertant reference to an Earth movie. After a few moments she manged to stop, and she scolded herself, desprately hoping he hadn't taken her laughter the wrong way. "Alright, that's good to know." Thabara Ishum blushed a little at her giggling. It had indeed been rather disrespectful of him to dub the gathering place of gods as such, but he couldn't help it - it was what inevitably popped up first whenever he laid eyes upon that dreadful building. He was rather glad that his Lord had decided against taking up lodge there, Echo's place was just so much nicer. "Anyhow," he said, getting up again and wiping his hands off at the fabric of his pants (not like that did any good, stained as they still were after his fall), "I better get going now. Still need to go find a few things for my Lord, and he isn't exactly the, well, patient kind." mistalina13 "Don't worry about it Ishum, it's not a reference you would understand." Morgan shook her head and sighed. "At any rate, it's nice to have met you Ishum, and your dog...er..dogs." She smiled softly. Thabara "It was a pleasure to have met you, Lady Morgan," Ishum replied, accompying his words with a flourished bow. "I'll be looking forward very, very much to meet you again." He beamed at her, and then he was off, practically running. In some distance he stopped and turned to cheerfully wave at her, just before he turned sharp right and vanished out of her sight.

Love Us Both?AND your leaving....Joint Roleplay 14Sosiqui Of course, now that it was actually time to talk with Morgan and tell her everything... her door loomed dreadfully once more, and Tian Yue shook his head. He didn't want to hurt her, but it would hurt her worse if he didn't tell her... and she'd been so unflappable so far. But he knew this could cut to the heart if she didn't understand.
Biting his lip, he knocked on the door, then drew back, folding his hands inside the draping sleeves of the star-flecked hanfu. mistalina13 Morgan sat at her desk working on gaming things for a lack of something better to do for the time being. She rolled a few of her dice and they came up on low numbers and she frowned. The knock came only a moment after. "Come in." She scribbled a note down and turned in her chair in time to see the door open. Paint was settled on her desk, near the small pot of flowers chittering happily and fluttering his wings. Sosiqui "Love?" Tian Yue poked his head in, around the side of the door. "Can I come in?" There was a seriousness around him that made it plain this wasn't a visit just for fun. mistalina13 She brightened up when she saw who had come to visit. "Of course..." Then she noticed his expression. Something must have happened. And she hoped it wasn't bad. She got up to greet him properly once he came in; a hug and then rocking up onto her toes to give him a little kiss. "So, what has brought you here to see me today?" Sosiqui "Some things I have to tell you... being Tien Lung is hard," Tian Yue admitted, letting himself lean into the hug and the kiss both, before gently disengaging and leading her over to sit next to him on the bed. "I saw Lord Harmodius - Destruction - yesterday. He was... not pleased that Shaiming was gone... and that I presume to be one of His Dragon Kings..." He turned away from her then, unable to help it. The feelings of shame and presumption were somewhat faded by the passing of time, but it still cut deep to say it. mistalina13 Morgan had taken his hand when they sat down on the bed and she squeezed it gently when he looked away. "Have to prove yourself then?" She looked over at him and frowned slightly. The Dragon seemed uneasy and that made her a little nervous as well. Sosiqui "Yes, exactly... Morgan, before I go any further - I love you. Okay? No matter what else, I love you and I will never give you up, or love you any less than I do at this moment... no matter what else happens, this will always be true. Can you understand that?" There was an odd, desperate look in Tian Yue's eyes. mistalina13 That look only succeeded in making her more nervous, but she did mange to find her voice. "I do, and what I feel for you will never change either." If he was like this something must be wrong or at the very least had changed. Sosiqui "I hope so... but, listen. Um." Tian Yue gathered up his resolve, then sighed. "Before... Lord Harmodius charged Shaiming to tend to his consort... Tien Lung has loved Universe for ages of men... and because of that order..." He shook his head. "Shaiming passed many things on to me when we became one... and I've realized that one of them is that love for his consort."
He gave Morgan an anguished look, begging her to understand. "I love you dearly, deeply... but Shaiming has passed down a similar love for Lucius, the God of Universe... and I can't deny either of them..." mistalina13 It took Morgan several moments to process what she heard, even as nice and logical as it was. Tian Yue loved Lucius and he loved her. All neat and logical...but logic rarely applied well to where emotions were concerned. Despite her silence though, she didn't look away from him or let go of his hand. She squeezed his hand again and scooted closer to lean against him. "It makes sense, besides you can't help who you love." The words were only a little above a whisper; she couldn't help the stab of jealousy she felt, but she refused to let it creep into her voice. He can't deny either of them...but his love for Universe was far older, did that mean it was stronger too?Morgan tried to force the little voice of doubt from her head. Sosiqui "But I love you, too - neither more than the other... I know Shaiming promised you something..." Tian Yue embraced her and held on, like a drowning man to a life raft. "I... don't expect you to... understand or..." His voice cracked. "It's one of those god-things that... doesn't make sense... but..." He swallowed. "I don't want to lose you! But I can't disobey my Lord's command. I need to be Tien Lung, for Shaiming's sake... for your sake..." mistalina13 Morgan couldn't find anything to say, for once she was speechless. She snuggled into his embrace and buried her face in his shoulder, slipping her arms around him. Yes, he needed to be a god, as he was meant to be, but she needed him too. Godhood and Dragon King aside, in her mind he was still her beloved, her Knight. She would just have to learn to share. Sosiqui "Oh, Morgan..." Tian Yue rocked slightly, leaning into her and letting his cheek brush hers. "I love you so much... you're amazing... thank you for trusting me." He took another deep breath. "It may be that it all comes to nothing. Lucius knows nothing of his past, and he may not be interested in Tien Lung as he is now, and all I will offer is friendship and be glad of it. But... you had to know, in case... I couldn't keep anything from you. It's something I must do." His expression turned from relief to sharp determination. "I'm not sure if you can understand the bond between the gods - between the Dragon Kings - and the Twin Crown... I didn't really understand it before experiencing it myself. If I cannot satisfy His desires, I may as well throw myself into one of those stars going nova. But I will prove myself." mistalina13 Morgan nuzzled his throat lightly and gave him a gentle squeeze before turning her head to look up into his eyes. "I may not understand such things, but I believe in you, Tian Yue, my lord Dragon." She smiled softly and drew back an arm from around him and reached up to brush his bangs away from his eyes. "I believe in you and I love you very very much." Sosiqui "Thank you," he repeated, smiling, then sobering once more. "I wish I could stay here with you and prove everything I told you, over and over - but the truth is, I have to go... Destruction ordered me to follow the command he gave to Shaiming, and his words override everything else. I am going to a place called the Gallery of Celestia to try and find some answers to the questions Lucius must have..." mistalina13 Leaving? Her expression saddened, despite the fact that it was something he couldn't disobey. How long would he be gone? Was it safe? Was he going alone? Despite her worries all the said was, "I'll miss you, beloved.." She shifted again and leaned up to give him a little kiss again. "Just promise you'll return safely." Sosiqui "It might take two weeks, maybe less... possibly more, but I doubt it. It depends on if I can find transport or not. The Gallery is in outer space, light-years from here." Tian Yue made a face. "I've been making star charts and working from Shaiming's memories... but it's not easy. Destruction has eaten so many of the stars. Old friends." mistalina13 Morgan nodded, frowning slightly and cuddled close again while she still had the chance to, still trying to sort through her jumbled thoughts. "In the past it must have been a beautiful place then..." She nuzzled his throat again and sighed softly. Sosiqui "I remember... little things. Flickers of arches and stars. Not much." Tian Yue's forehead creased in thought. "There's so much I don't understand. I can hardly take it all in." mistalina13 "In time, beloved, I'd imagine you'll understand." Morgan couldn't fathom what sort of memories Shaiming could have left him with, so she'd just do her best to support him in his path and decisions. She smiled faintly and breathed in his scent, while she she still wrestled with the little voice of doubt. Sosiqui "In time... yes." Tian Yue pulled her close. "You know, Shaiming thought you might have been called here from Earth because a god or goddess thinks you're perfect... perhaps someday you'll be a goddess too, and we can build up our own heaven." He grinned, cheeky. mistalina13 Morgan giggled, "If that is the case, I could only hope for one as kind as Shaiming was to you." She sighed whistfully and kissed his cheek. "Though, if I ever am...that sounds like fun." Sosiqui "Fun... sort of... stressful right now, mostly." Tian Yue bit his lip. "Better once I've proven myself to my Lord. Maybe then it'll be fun again, like it was when we went flying." He grinned, sheepishly. "For now, I'm just... making plans. If Toki brings back the information I sent him out looking for promptly, I want to leave tomorrow or the next day. Go and do this as fast as I can. I can't afford to wait, or to be gone for very long." mistalina13 "Toki will be back before you know it." Morgan knew it was true, but it made her a little sad that meant he'd leave sooner; then again it meant he'd be back sooner as well. She smiled faintly, nodded and reached up to run her fingers through his hair. "Of course, beloved." Sosiqui "Maybe. Then again, maybe it'll be like that one time with the water when we gamed that first time..." Tian Yue's grin was brighter that time, and a bit wicked - that was a good memory. "You'll have to try really hard to top that reward at the end of a campaign." mistalina13 Morgan blushed faintly. "I could think of a few things." Her expression turned playful as well and she laced her arms around his neck and kissed him lightly. "I'm sure I could..." Sosiqui "Could you?" Tian Yue grinned again, and tickled the tip of one of her ears lightly with one claw. mistalina13 Morgan tilted her head and kissed his neck lightly, then drew back to look into his eyes. "How about me, for starters?" Sosiqui Tian Yue grinned wickedly, and pulled her close.
"Oh look - I think I failed my willpower save."

Jealous of UniversePerhaps everything isn't as simple as the Dragon thought.Solo Roleplay 07Hm...what time is it?Morgan stirred just enough to roll over on the bed, sheets in a tangle around her and the first thing she noticed is that she was alone, when she would usually find herself in the Dragon’s arms. Feeling miffed and suddenly cold she pulled the blankets around herself tighter. Waking up alone like this made her almost feel… used. She rolled over, burying her face in the pillow. ............He wouldn’t do that to her, would he? ............No, no! Of course he wouldn’t, he loved her. But…then again he loved Universe too. It wasn’t some second hand rumor or gossip. It was the truth, she’d heard it from the Dragon’s own lips, and she’d kissed them just afterward, as if everything had been okay…despite the jealously she had felt when she’d heard that news, and that she still felt now. It was logical that’d he could love Lucius and her. ............But, logic wasn’t always fair... ...............and in the face of emotions humans ignored logic.Jealousy was natural, primal and a very mortal emotion it seemed…and was very very hard one to shake at that. He said he was leaving soon, to fulfill his Lord’s command. ............…to deal with his… consort, Universe… Lucius. If Lucius was his consort, what did that make her? Perhaps, some sort of boudoir mistress, like those women to the kings of old civilizations studied in history? That thought very nearly turned her stomach. ............If that was true, then she was a toy, just a little mortal toy? That thought made her heart ache. Something like that couldn’t be true, could it? After all they had been through together and besides Tian Yue was a good deal of Crispin as well, and he would never… Morgan growled and turned in the bed again to stare at the ceiling. Besides immortality, what did Universe have that she didn’t? She made a silence promise then, she wouldn’t let Lucius win and lure her beloved away from her. It just couldn’t happen, being alone was not a possibility she was willing to face. The thought of being alone frightened her worse than anything, especially now since the Dragon and the Aoidei were all she had. But perhaps it was just the jealousy talking.

Restless Rabbits Make Strange CompanyMaybe it's NOT possible for Toki to sit still.Joint Roleplay 15Sosiqui It had been a few days since his master's leaving, and Toki was officially At Loose Ends. Nebula was nowhere to be found, much to his annoyance, and while Lord Zhijian, Ying Long was free to call for his service, that noble dragon had not yet done so. Thus bereft of anything to do, Toki was pacing everywhere around Tien Lung's rooms, wringing his hands in vague distress. The hoard, the bedroom, the living quarters, bathroom, Aoidei hallway - all of it already cleaned to sparkling, every bit of dust lasting no more than a few moments before it was attacked by an overzealous, bored Toki armed with a dusting cloth. He paused in front of Morgan's door, then brightened. Maybe she had something for him to do. Excited at the prospect, the Aoide brushed back his bunny ears and knocked, three quick raps. "Lady Morgan? Are you within?" Sosiqui Toki opened the door with a bounce in his step and a big grin. "Good morning, my Lady - how are you this morning? Is there anything, anything at all, that you need? My Lord of course asked me to tend to your needs, and I confess I was worried that you have not emerged..." He tilted his head at her. mistalina13 "Well enough, Toki, thanks." Morgan turned her head slightly and the aoide would hear a little 'pop' from her neck. Much better."I wouldn't have made for good company in the last while anyway, Toki, but I would appreciate some company now." She smiled and motioned to her half pulled out desk chair. "Might as well relax." She shifted so that she sat cross legged on the bed. Sosiqui "Company? Is this what... friends do?" The Aoide tilted his head the other way, curious. "Very well then, I will sit with my friend." He beamed and plopped down, cross-legged on the floor. "Why were you not good company? Does my Master's absence bother you as it does me? Oh, I should have done more for him before he left!" Toki wrung his hands again. "I'm positive he forgot his dental floss. If he returns without his teeth I will throw myself into the lava pits." mistalina13 "Sit in the chair, Toki." Morgan giggled, stopping after a moment. "It does, I'm lonely." Among other things. She shook her head, sometimes Toki worried just a little too much. "I'm sure he's just fine, his teeth too." She smiled softly. Poor Toki. If she felt this lost without Tian Yue around, she couldn't imagine what it must be like for him. Sosiqui "Chair? Oh..." Toki looked guilty and slid up into the chair, fidgeting a moment, but brightening at Morgan's encouragement. "Really? I hope so. No, you're right, I'm sure he is fine - but, you are lonely." Another headtilt. "That is what I was, for such a very very long time... but I knew, I knew Tien Lung would come back. I know now. But it was hard. Compared to those centuries, this is as nothing. It is different for you?" There was honest curiosity in the Aoide's face, and a bit of confusion. mistalina13 "I've not had your time to get used to such things, I'm only eighteen. Besides, I've never cared for someone so much." Morgan blushed faintly. "And in any case, you all are the only sort of family I have here." She had noticed the aoide's curiosity, and hoped that would lessen it some. Sosiqui "Family... that is blood-relation or love-relation, but you are not Aoidei...?" Toki squinted at Morgan, as if to make sure she didn't have wings or claws or some other feature that would mark her as a god-servant, then shook his head. "No, no. You are silly." He grinned at her. "But perhaps you mean love? You love Tien Lung, whom I also love, and that is the link. But I don't think that's how it's supposed to go..." mistalina13 "I'm only a human, Toki, and it's not silly. Friends can be family too, it is a love-relation of a sort; just not quite the same as others." Morgan shook her head, wondering if he'd understand her logic. "Tian Yue is my love and you are a friend, that makes you both family in my eyes." Sosiqui "Oh... okay. Mortals are confusing," Toki said, with a sheepish grin. "I understand." There was a long pause, then, hesitantly, "Um. How do I keep you company, my Lady?" mistalina13 "You already are." Morgan smiled. "You don't have to call me 'Lady' all the time, you can use my name." They'd had this discussion before, but hopefully this time it would have a better result. Sosiqui "My Lady Morgan, then," Toki compromised, brushing one hand up to straighten a side-flopped bunny ear. "I am sure my Lord will return soon - and tend to those matters which are most pressing." The Aoide squirmed a bit. "Were I brave enough, I would fall before the Twin Crown and offer myself on my Lord's behalf - but I cannot do so, not while his commands lay on me still. To take care of you, and to be available to Lord Ying Long. And find Nebula." He made a face at that last. mistalina13 "I'm not a child, nor a pet, so I don't require much in the way of being 'taken care of'." Morgan made a little face at that and the comprimise on what to call her, but it was better than just being called 'Lady' all the time. "Though, I'd say your plenty brave, Toki, not everyone could do what your doing." Born to it or not, it still took a lot of guts to deal with the gods, let alone live in this...temple. And where had that catgirl gone anyway?Sosiqui Toki looked crestfallen. "But Lady Morgan, even the gods need taking care of. That is why Aoidei exist." He did perk up a bit at her next words, but not quite as much as he had been before. "It is not hard. Unless D-d-destruction is a-around." He shivered, his wings rustling against each other. "The Twin Crown scares me, and to know he is displeased with my Lord, oh! If my life could ease that displeasure, I would give it in a moment, but alas - I am worth nothing to Him, I am sure." mistalina13 "From what I've heard, he's pretty scary." Morgan didn't seem frightened, but then again she had never come across Destruction in all her trips through the throne room. "If you are nothing in his eyes, then I'm not sure I'd want to know what he'd think of me." She let out a little nervous laugh after that. "But, not everyone thinks of you that way, Toki." Sosiqui "No, my Lord - he spoke many words of praise before he left." Toki beamed. "I saved jewels, some of the hoard, all for him! It would be much harder to mount to the skies without them, he said. I did well! I did very well!" If the Aoide had a tail, it would have been wagging like crazy; as it was, his wings were vibrating against each other. mistalina13 Morgan laughed, "I have not known of a time when you haven't done well, Toki." Sosiqui "I found Master Crispin, too," Toki said, puffed up with pride. "Found him way far away in that other world you come from. Just for my Lord." mistalina13 Morgan nodded and sighed a little. Part of her missed Crispin, when he was just himself. She missed Shaiming too and all the time the three of them had spent together. Now things were so much more complicated and she just didn't know what to do sometimes. "Yes, you did Toki." She smiled faintly and her gaze drifted away from her friend. Sosiqui Toki smiled back, awkwardly. He fiddled with one of the bunny ears. He fiddled with his own fingers. He squirmed. "... Lady Morgan, isn't there anything I can do for you? Anything at all?" he asked, finally, with a note of desperation in his voice. mistalina13 Morgan's gaze flicked back to Toki when she noticed his fidgeting. "No, there isn't really, and I'm sorry I'm not very good company." Sosiqui "No, no... it's not you, Lady Morgan," Toki said, quickly, wringing his hands briefly in fear he'd caused her distress. "I'm just not very good at staying still... even when I served Tien Lung before, he said I was like a quick an anxious rabbit." He grinned, sheepishly. One hand wandered up to fiddle with the tip of a bunny ear, before he realized he was fidgeting again and made himself sit still. mistalina13 "We could go for a walk, then at least you wouldn't be sitting still?" Morgan started to giggle, but hid it with her hand worried that Toki might take it the wrong way. Sosiqui "If you like - oh! I could show you where I hid Tien Lung's hoard. Where Lord Shaiming first spoke to Master Crispin." Toki jumped up, his wings rustling against each other with excitement. "Shall I carry you?" mistalina13 "Sure." Morgan would just be content with walking somewhere, it was something to do to pass the time and maybe it would calm the aoide down. "And, no, Toki I can walk just fine." Sosiqui "Are you sure?" Toki fidgeted as he opened the door for her. "It's dangerous outside. I carried Master Crispin once, up to the roof - but I won't take you up there." He hesitated. mistalina13 "Yes, I'm sure. I go out by myself all the time, and I'm usually just fine." It was at this moment Paint chose to make an appearance, the little winged guinea pig scuttled out from behind the flower pot on her desk and toward Toki, making little curious chittering noises. Sosiqui "Oh..." Toki looked lost for a moment, then stared as the Akuti skittered out. "A rat! 'Ware, Lady Morgan!" He jumped up and glanced around frantically for something to hit it with. "Oh, I've been hearing them in the walls, and here they are in your room! My Lord would disown me if he knew, ohhh..." mistalina13 Paint chirped loudly, he was rather startled when Toki suddenly jumped up. "It's not a rat Toki; Though, I'm not sure what it is exactly. But it's quite harmless." Morgan got up from the bed, walked to the desk and scooped the little creature up and give it a gentle scratch. "I named it 'Paint'." She set the little creature on her shoulder. Sosiqui It took a moment for Morgan's reassurance to be heard; Toki flailed around looking for a blunt object for a bit longer until it sunk in, and he paused, looking at her in surprise. "Not... a rat? Oh..." He sighed and stood up, folding his arms. "I've been hearing a rat in the walls, I tell you - I was so hoping that was it so I could get rid of it." He shook his head, making the bunny ears flap around. mistalina13 Paint made a little chittering noise and fluttered his wings. Morgan reached up to give the little creature another scratch. "It seems to drink nectar from flowers, which is probably why it ended up here." Though why the creature had not sought out Kishara's garden of a room puzzled her a bit. "Besides, have you ever seen any rats with wings?" She giggled. Sosiqui Toki looked thoughtful. "Perhaps. There were many strange things in the dawning ages of the gods. Oh, you should have seen it - the glory! The might and majesty of the Pantheon!" He beamed. "Tien Lung standing full and fair, guarding our greatest Lord and his Lady behind his scaled coils..." mistalina13 Part of me wishes I had, but I doubt I'd be here now if that were the case.Morgan smiled half heartedly, hoping it would be convincing enough for Toki's sake. She let her hands fall back to her side. "So we going out?" Sosiqui "Oh, of course, of course." Toki jumped up and re-opened the door again, waiting for her. "To the place where I hid the treasures, yes. I hope it's still there." mistalina13 "If your as good at hiding things as you are at finding them, I'd be willing to bet that it is." Her smile brightened a little as she headed for the door. "Thanks, Toki."

The Only ChoiceMusic Clears the Mind.Solo Roleplay 7It was a simple matter of moving the couches and chairs out of the way, toward the outer edges of the room. She needed space for this and her own room wasn’t quite enough. It wasn’t often she had felt this need, and it had been only growing steadily worse as of late. Morgan needed to dance, like she had when she was a child. To be the ballerina her mother had always wanted her to be, just for a little while, where no one would see her. It was quite possibly her silliest fear, that someone would see her dance and laugh. She shook her head, dismissing the thought. No one would see her here. It was a pity though, that she didn’t have her toe shoes, she’d taken them out of her bag just before leaving for that last game. Morgan began her routine of stretches, using the back of one of the couches as a sort of balance bar. ............How long had it been, since she danced last?Months at least, if not longer; it had been with Ser at the community center, on a day when there had been no ballet class. Morgan always felt so awkward, when she first donned her leotard and toe shoes, it made her feel so…girly. She stood there for a moment, in the middle of a stretch while she was lost in her memories. No sense in reminiscing now, it will only further sour my mood. She let out a sigh and brought her leg down from the top of the couch and rocked up onto her toes, testing her balance. It would be difficult without toe shoes, but she would still try, if for no other reason then to diffuse her sour mood of the last few days. At least he woke me up to say goodbye this morning. She smiled, somewhat grateful that he wouldn’t be gone too long. Now, it was time to dance. Except, one thing was missing… music. Morgan snatched up her mp3 player from the couch and stuck one of the bud earphones in her ear to select a song and she flipped quickly through the small selection until she found the perfect one. She cranked the volume and clicked the button to restart before tossing it back onto the couch and moving to the empty space she’d made for herself in the room. And I'd give up forever to touch you, Cause I know that you feel me somehow. You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be, And I don't want to go home right now. Morgan simply let herself flow with the music, doing simple steps at first as she let her thoughts drift off, loosing herself in the moment. ............This was all she had left.............There was no way home.............She’d chosen the one she loved over everything else. And she had no regrets about that. And all I can taste is this moment, And all I can breathe is your life, And sooner or later it's over, I just don't want to miss you tonight. She moved with the music and finally found some comfort, talking with Toki had helped but she had needed to find some sense of balance in herself. ............She had to share the one she loved.............It was her hope that she could eventually accept that.............But she didn’t wish to be totally cast aside either. After a point Morgan heard nothing else but the music and the beating of her heart, she twirled and lightly stepped, balancing as best she could on bare feet. And I don't want the world to see me, Cause I don't think that they'd understand. When everything's meant to be broken, I just want you to know who I am. ............There was one thing she felt she needed to do.............That would help her accept all this. The rest of the words were lost on her, until the song winded down to its end and her dance with it. She relaxed her posture and waited for her heart rate to slow. The dance had eased her mind and helped her come to a decision. She had to meet him; she had to meet Universe. - Iris, Goo Goo Dolls

You Followed Me?Ser must've fallen through the same portal Morgan did...Joint Roleplay 17mistalina13 Morgan laughed, getting out had been almost too easy. She had sent Toki on an errand that would keep him occupied a while and he was all to happy to go. Then she had simply slipped out, leaving a note just in case the Aoide returned before she did. The last she thing she needed was for him to worry. Toki worried to much already, the last thing she needed was for herself to be added to that list or for him to feel responsible if something happened to her. She strolled down the street of the small town she ended up in after coming through the portal from Earth. It was mostly the same as she remembered, if a bit more tainted around the edges and less people as well. That made her sad, considering how lively the town had been when she was last here. Paint, the akuti, was perched on her shoulder, happily chirping and fluttering his wings despite the drab-ness of the surroundings. "It's too bad...Destruction's taint reaches so far now." Morgan muttered, reaching up to give the fluffy creature on her shoulder a gentle scritch as she continued on her way. She had no real purpose for being here, except for needing to get out of the Dragon's apartments having grown increasingly lonely without his presence. Besides, who could stand a bored Aoide for that long? Sierra_penman Ser looked around carefully. She was quite certain the ally she had ran down had lead to quite a different location. It seemed almost surreal, even if it wasn't the happiest looking of places. She had walked around a bit but had ended up at the same bench about 4 times know. After having been out all night she was getting tired. She slung her brother's pack sack down onto the bench. "Well I wanted to find Morgy So maybe this is a step in the right direction..." She noticed the hint of sadness in her voice and shook her head putting on a big smile. She tossed her arms over her head stretching. Wandering around for so long with out a plan maybe wasn't such a good ideal. "To bad its a little late to plan anything." Ser sat down on the bench next to her bag. Her head hung looking at the ground. She could feel the tears bitting at her eyes. Why had Morgan left to... without even a word... she lend back looking at the sky before calling out, oblivious to the fact that other people were around, "Morgy where did you go!" mistalina13 Morgan rounded another corner which only leading to another split of streets. If memory served this wasn't too far from the portal that had brought her here and part of her wondered if that portal remained even though she knew it was only one way. She shook her head, dismissing the thought. No sense in getting homesick now, when there was no way home. She turned back the way she had come from. Perhaps it was time to go back, it was begining to bore her being here anyway. 'Morgy! Where did you go!?'Out of instinct Morgan whirled around. Was she hearing things? She had to be! There was no way, only one person she knew called her 'Morgy'. Homesickness.... had to be homesickness. Sierra_penman Ser was leaning back her head tilted fully back. Thats when she saw a girl who looked strangely like Morgan. See we didn't need to plan. Make sure it's.. Ser whipped around so she was kneeling on the bench the bow of her kimono tangling around her. Her almost skipped a beat there looking back at her was deffently Morgan. "Morgy" she yelled. She got up with some difficulty do to her bow; almost falling off the bench completely. She straightened her oboe out so it was fully behind her and untangled. Once she dusted her self off from the embarrassment of being tangled up. she ran forward a few steps closing the gap between her and Morgy and jumping the last bit before clutching onto her dear friend in a full out glomp. "I found you Morgy!" mistalina13 Morgan too busy convincing herself that she was hearing things to notice someone launch themself at her. The glomper knocked her to the ground, thankfully she only hit hard enough to knock the wind out of her and send Paint fluttering up chittering irritably. Her eyes went wide as she stared up at the person who was latched onto her. It took her a moment to stutter out it, seeing as she nearly didn't believe who she saw. "S-S-Ser!?" Sierra_penman Ser got up. Once more having to fix her clothing. Ah the cost of a great dress. She bowed low. "Ser at your service." she stood up smiling. Everything was right once more she had morgy back. "Morgy where are we?" Ser said looking around at the dark town once more. She spins around twice on the spot. "I thought i was carrying something..." she says holding her chin. Pack Sack. Ya i though i had it too. Ser looks up at the little butterfly mouse flying around chirping. "Oh how cute! she says pointing and the little thing flying around" mistalina13 It took a moment for Morgan to collect herself and get to her feet. It was most definately Ser, no one else could replicate that attitude. She looked up toward Paint who was still fluttering around, chittering irritably. "Paint, it's alright...you can come down now." The winged guinea pig floated down lazily resettling himself on Morgan's shoulder before letting out another irritated chirp and falling silent. "His name is Paint...I wouldn't advice petting him now though, he's a little testy when startled like that." She brushed off her pants as she watched Ser for a moment. "How did you get here anyway?" Sierra_penman She looked around and point at a near by wall. "I think i came out of the wall." As she had turned to point she saw her pack sack on the bench. "Pack Sack there you are." She ran over hugging it and tossing it back onto her back. "So what have you been doing in a place like this Morgy?" she said getting closer to Morgan staring a paint again. leaning in a little the temptation to pet the cute paint really tempting. mistalina13 "The portal." Morgan muttered. So it was still there. "I live here now, Ser, and it seems you do too because there isn't a way home anymore." She shifted uneasily, not knowing how her friend would take the news assuming she noticed at all. Sierra_penman Ser looked up smiling. "Live here? Well looks like I have no choice. I'll stay too." She said smiling brightly. "I'm not leaving you again Morgy don't worry." she said standing straight saluting. "So where do you live? I don't plan on leaving your side. So i'll just stay with you" She said nodding to her self. mistalina13 "It's a bit of a walk, even with the portals." Morgan sighed, Ser didn't seem to realise the gravity of the situation she was in now and that worried her somewhat. None the less she was happy to have a friend around and maybe Ser could occupy Toki. She laughed at the thought of that as she set off at a walk toward the first portal. Sierra_penman Ser walked side by side holding her head up with her hands that she rested behind her head. "OH Morgy Wait." She took the pack sack off and fished through a side pocket taking out a little bag before swing the pack back on. She tossed Morgy the little bag. "You left it my house last time you came over to try and teach me how to play again. And i brought some of your other stuff to with me. I didn't know if you had planed to leave or not so i was worried you may not have packed." She took smiled happily like she always did. She was with Morgy again nothing else mattered. mistalina13 Morgan opened the bag just enough to peer inside. It was one of her dice sets. "I was wondering where those had gone." She clipped the bag onto her belt as they walked along. "I did have some of my things with me, but not much..." She sighed and ran her hands through the hair that was hanging over her shoulders. Sierra_penman She looked over at Morgan. She seemed sad. But wasn't this kinda her ream to go for an adventure in some magic land? "So Why don't you tell me about what you've been doing since you disappeared. Slain a dragon? Fell in love with a prince? Got stuck in a romantic triangle of tragic yet passionate love? You know the stuff all the Mangas and table top games are full of." She said with a grin poking Morgy in the side. mistalina13 "I live with a dragon actually..." Morgan looked back toward her friend. "...I'm his lov-girlfriend." She smiled sheepishly. "And it is sort of a love triangle...but that's a long story." She giggled when she was poked. "You'll like him though, he's really sweet." Sierra_penman Ser turned around putting a hand out to stop Morgan. "Wait...you have a boy friend and yet you...." she shook her head rubbing her temples. before throwing her arms to her sides. "Morgan you have a boyfriend!"She turned around on her heels and started walking again. "When we get to your home I'm doing you makeup and hair so its more presentable bag jeans and just brushing your hair just won't cut it. But don't worry I packed my kit well have you done up in no time." She started to skip down the lane she was so excited to finally get to play with Morgy again. "Dragons are regal don't you remember the ebberon campaigns we played. No wonder its a love triangle you're not even trying. Oh ya!" She said turning around and walking backwards. "I'll show you surprise number 1 after i met him. It will knock his socks off! There won't be a doubt in his mind who to pick after he sees it!" She said full of confidence the hint Morgan might be the one in love with two guys not even crossing her mind. mistalina13 Suddenly Morgan wished she hadn't said anything at all. Makeup...messing with her hair and a suprise? She cringed mentally. Mentioning she had a boyfriend was just another excuse for Ser to treat her like a little girl does a doll. "I will respect his decision, no matter what it turns out to be." Even if he simply chooses to keep both of us. She didn't want to think of the alternative of Tian Yue choosing Universe over her right now. Sierra_penman "Of course i would expect nothing less. But if you really love him Morgy theres no harm in marketing what you've got. You could be really pretty Morgy just give me 30 minutes on you and you could have any guy you want. I mean is it really fair to let him pick someone with out showing him what you have to offer." She said with a grin but suddenly clamped both hands over her mouth hiding the evil smile. "Or have you shown him something else?" mistalina13 Morgan blushed and laughed nervously. "Are you roundabout trying to ask me if he's seen me with my clothes off?" She fiddled idly with the tips of her hair. It certainly had been more than that, but she wouldn't mention the fact to Ser. Time to change the subject somewhat, hopefully Ser would just go along with it. " 'sides...the other he loves...my lord's feelings for him are far older." She chewed on her lip. Sierra_penman "All the more reason to put on the heat. They may have had to romance but you can win him over with passion." Ser said nodding to her self. "Morgy what do you mean your lord's? Hes not forcing you to do anything right?" She said concern for her friend all over her face. mistalina13 "No, it's just a more formal way to refer to him." Morgan hadn't even realised she'd said it. "His name is Tian Yue, he's a god Ser." She wondered if Ser would believe it. "I'm his follower as well as his lover." Sierra_penman Ser nodded before turning around "Well i guess we all see the guy we love as a god Morgy. But just remeber it takes two to have a relationship" She closed her eyes Morgy hadn't changed at all but to have a lover she finally had a real excuse to doll her up. "Tian Yue. I guess thats a good name for a dragon. Tian and morgy, sitting in a tree...." she though to her self for a moment. "Yup deffently a good match." mistalina13 Morgan sighed, Ser didn't take her seriously. Her friend would find out soon enough when she actually got to meet him. She raked her hands through her hair, rounding the last corner and heading down an alley to the first portal. "It'll feel the same as when you went through the first one...they'll be one more like this after it to get to where I'm staying." She peered over her shoulder at Ser before stepping into the portal. Sierra_penman Ser nodded and fallowed her friend. She would have to find out more about Tian Yue when she got to meet him. She looked around at yet another changed landscape. "So Morgy do you live alone with him?" She said taking pace beside Morgy resting her hands behind her head again. She was still really excited about having Morgy back but after being up all night she was really starting to get tried. Always being hyper and happy was starting to get hard. mistalina13 Destruction's touch shown worse here than it had back in the town. Morgan cringed, it was far worse here than the first she time she had come this way with Crispin. Hopefully Ser wouldn't dwell on it as much as she had then...it'd nearly made her ill. A little further down the street got them to the second portal. "Second verse same as the first." Such familiar words. She grinned and disapeared into the second portal. Sierra_penman Ser wrapped a hand around Morgy's between the two portals. She didn't wan't to get lost in a place like this. Not once she had already found Morgy. She fallowed closly behind through the next portal. The fact that she was never going home still crept around in the back of her mind. The truth of matters always did come back to her when she got to tried to hold them off. Morgan's silence wasn't helping her much. Maybe Morgan though of Ser as only a bother. Well she would have to prove her wrong...Somehow. "Morgan do you like Tian Yue or do you like it here?" mistalina13 Morgan didn't answer until they were on the other side of the portal. "This place isn't bad, it just takes getting used to...and I love Tian Yue, Ser, very much." And Crispin...and Shaiming too...even though they're gone. She squeezed her friends hand. "Doesn't mean I care about you or my family any less....the situation is just different now." Sierra_penman She looked around again. "I'm so going to get lost Morgy. I have a hard time getting two streets over to your house..." She looked down at her feet. "I didn't mean that you don't care Morgy...Morgy are there more people then just you two here?" Maybe she could find something to fix her too. Morgan already seemed a lot happier then she used too. she smiled to her self. Maybe it would be easier to get her to dance know. mistalina13 "I live in a temple, in my lo-Tian Yue's apartments. Lots of other gods live there too, but you won't see too many of them about often." Morgan kept her eyes on the path as they went along, choosing to take the road through the ruined town as it seemed the quickest way back to the 'Temple of Doom' as Ishum had put it. Sierra_penman Ser looked around. This place was the worst of the lands they had walked through. But there was almost beuaty to the havoc that surrounded. You could almost feel power in the air. Ser kinda felt same just being in this place. "Morgan why do you live with gods? I mean don't they usually not like mortals all that much? " mistalina13 "Most of them seem to now, they need followers to survive...otherwise they just eventually disapear." Morgan understood that much just from listening. She hadn't asked more about the Fading, as most didn't remember or it'd done some significant mental damage to them. Once they got to the end of town it opened up to a wider area, devoid of most everything, except for the large rather dark creepy looking temple a short distance off. But between them and it stood a decent walk and crossing the lava. Sierra_penman Ser pulled out one end of her head phones popping it into her ear some tunes might just wake her up. She turned it back on the song what if god was one of us playing into her ear. She laughed to her self at the corny irony. "Think they'll mind another mortal running about. Your a lot less of a pest then me at lest. So how come the gods live in a place like this any how? They going to destroy the everything or something so they need and big evil lair? Though for the whole evil end of the world look this place is awesome." mistalina13 "The Pantheon is like this because Destruction rules." They started on the path toward the Pantheon itself. Soon enough Ser would begin to notice the ash and smell from the lava that was almost like a moat around the building, thankfully Morgan had largely managed to learn to ignore it. Sierra_penman "Smells like sulfur from science class. In a natural setting like that. Morgy the Pantheon in a volcano?" She looked out ahead of them and she could almost she a red river. A mote of lava how cool. "Well not many people can say they've been to a place like this. This is so cool." Ser was almost ecstatic it was just like they were on an adventure from the table top games Morgy had shown her. mistalina13 "Nah...at least I don't think so." They crossed the path that lead to the main doors and she paused. "So, what do ya think?" Morgan grinned and clicked a tongue against her teeth, hopefully Destruction wasn't in the throne room, or it'd be a fun adventure to get upstairs. Sierra_penman Ser smiled brightly giving her friend puppy dog eyes. "Think? Morgy this is awesome. You so need to show me everything!" She held a hand to her mouth as a small yawn escaped her lips. "Though I could really use a nap. I was out all night looking for you before i found the portal here. Not that i was really looking for it." She fallowed Morgan inside carefully taking in the whole scene. "Why don't you show me your room we can have a sleep over!" mistalina13 Morgan put a finger to her lips. "Quiet, Ser, we don't need to draw any attention down here." Because it certain wasn't attention either of them would want. She led Ser to the spiral staircase that went to the upper level where the apartments were. The only question that remainded was how to explain this to Tian Yue and Toki.

Come Home Soon, Beloved.Solo Roleplay 08I wonder where Tian Yue is?That was the question she woke up to this morning and nearly every morning since the Dragon had left. A week and a half or two weeks, he had said. Already longer than that had passed and it seemed like an eternity. At least Ser was around, or she would spend a lot more time cloistered in her room. At least Ser wasn’t the only one she had to focus her attention on. The last little while her friend had been fixated on Toki, asking the rabbit aoide all sorts of questions and helping him out with chores. She was occupied and that was more than enough in Morgan’s mind and as a plus it kept her from trying to play with her hair or put her in dresses. She shuttered at the thought. It was just a bit too girly for her. Hopefully he’ll have found what he was looking for.She sighed. What had he been looking for anyway…or had he even mentioned it. Come to think of it he hadn’t. He had only mentioned his destination and that it was a command from his Lord to ‘deal with his consort’. Morgan whimpered, rolled over onto her back and stared up through the open skylight at the destruction darkened sky. What an unfortunate sight it was. She rolled over again and buried her face in the pillows. I miss you; Come home soon, please.

Finding Love Again...and he's pregnant?Joint Roleplay 18Meepfur Rio sat cross-legged on one of the downstairs couches, poring intently over a compact little book that boasted a cover half pink and half blue. Mostly he flipped the pages quickly, skimming and finding nothing of particular interest, but now and then he'd pause and mutter to himself - to Alex, really. They always had had a habit of talking to each other out loud.
"What about Harmony?" he mused, hand resting on his - their - growing belly.Uh...no. Just no. I hate those kinds of names."Aww. It's so lovely, though." The god frowned, but turned another page. mistalina13 In a feeble attempt to escape her friend and the infamous makeup box Morgan headed downstairs. It was always a risk, but in her mind it was very worth it, considering the alternative was being made up like a doll. She wrinkled her nose and stuffed her hands in jeans pockets. As much as she loved her friend, that was just too much.
She stopped at the foot of the stairs and looked around checking for signs of life before heading out into the open. It was something she had grown accustomed to doing, lest she risk running into someone unfriendly. Meepfur Rio was still engrossed in the baby names book when Morgan came down the stairs, but not so much so that he was oblivious to everything. So at the sound of footsteps on the stairs, he lifted his head and beamed and the young woman who'd just come to the bottom.
"Morgan!" He shut his book with a finger in it it to keep his place, revealing that also in his lap was a small, brightly-colored bird stuffed animal. "Hello, dear!" mistalina13 Morgan snapped out of her thoughts when a familiar voice reached her. "Rio!" Pulling her hands from her jeans pocket as she walked, she waved and made her way over to him. "It's been a long time, how've you been?" She smiled, seeing him had put her in a better more than she had been in in a while. Meepfur "Oh, I'm wonderful! How about you? Come here and have a seat, will you?" Rio patted the sofa cushion invitingly. He and Alex were, by now, getting to where they were visibly pregnant, although it might not be the most obvious conclusion someone would reach when seeing it on a person they thought of as male.
Sometimes the whole business of man-in-woman's-body could get very confusing, not to mention odd. mistalina13 Morgan plunked down beside Rio. "Alright, for the moment." She settled against the back of it and let out a little contented sigh. "What cha reading?" She hadn't noticed the belly yet as her thoughts were still elsewhere, on Tian Yue, as she wondered for the millionth time when he would return. Meepfur "Oh, this?" He turned it over so that she could see. It was a book of baby names, proclaiming in bright letters that in contained thousands.
"Just for the moment?" Rio asked, switching just like that from happy-cheerful to obviously concerned. "Is there something wrong?" mistalina13 "I've managed to evade a makeover, for the time being." Morgan laughed, gaze drifting over to the book just after he turned it. Baby names? "Cute. Someone having a baby?" It never occured to her that it might be the person next to her. Meepfur "A makeover?" Rio laughed, his worry washing away. "Now who would try to do that to you, hmm? You're already quite lovely!"
The god chuckled then, patting his stomach. "We are! Alex and I. Well, Alex and Orin really, but since it's Alex, that means it's me too." mistalina13 "A friend...like likes stuffing me in dresses, putting make up on me and playing with my hair." Morgan cringed at that. To her that sort of thing seemed akin to torture since she was less than girly.
She seemed a little suprised, but smiled none the less. "Congrats!" Definately something to her mental 'Stranger Things Have Happened' list. Meepfur "Oh, you don't like to have your hair played with? Really? It always feels so wonderful and tingly, though!" Rio just adored it. "Although I suppose when it comes with styling, it can lose some of its fun."
"Why thank you!" The god beamed again. "He or she is going to be so cute, I just know it! Orin's a werewolf, you see. I do so hope it has a tail," he confided. mistalina13 "Certain people it's okay, but most, just no." Morgan sighed annoyidly. Ser had an unfortunate habit of pulling too much when she "played" with Morgan's hair.
"I bet it will be a cute baby." She giggled a little and hid her face with a hand. "Never know." A part werewolf baby, interesting. Meepfur "I'm sure it'll at least have some fur," Rio speculated, falling easily into the anticipation. "But will it be black or gray? What color eyes will it have? Maybe it will even have wings!" He fluttered his own at the thought. "Oh, I'm so excited." mistalina13 Morgan smiled and brushed her bangs away from her eyes. The sight of Rio right now was just too cute for words. Godhood aside, he seemed just like any other expectant mother. She giggled again. Meepfur Rio giggled right along with Morgan, knowing very well that he was cute! Although he didn't make a conscious effort to be that way, he was conscious of it. "Do you have any favorite names for children?" mistalina13 Morgan stopped for a moment to catch her breath and think. "Fiona, for a girl...and Tobias for a boy." Normal names, but she thought they were cute. Meepfur Fiona? Alex thought, What an ugly name! We are not using that name! It's a perfectly good name, Alex, and anyway, you and Orin are the ones who'll be doing the naming. It just helps to have some ideas!
"Tobias?" Rio thought over that for a moment. He liked it, and Alex hadn't voiced any objections about that one. "That's a very handsome name! I rather like it."After a bit of thinking about it, his host did pipe up again, this time with Toby sounds like a dog's name.Well, Orin is a werewolf, Rio replied, teasing.Werewolf . Not dog. mistalina13 Judging by Rio's silence Morgan guessed he might be talking with his host, assuming she was still around. She just resettled on the couch and chose not to interrupt. Meepfur Shaken from his baby-oriented ramblings by Morgan's silence, Rio realized he'd been the one doing most of the talking. "Oh! Here I am, taking up the whole conversation. I'm so sorry, I just get so excited when I think about it. I'm ashamed I very nearly forgot to ask, but how are things with Crispin, dear?"
He was Love! He needed to keep up with these things! mistalina13 "It's alright." Morgan smiled faintly and her gaze lowered, resting on her hands folded on her lap.
"He's been gone a while, Rio." It was still sad for her to think about, even if he wasn't totally gone. She missed the time when it was just two of them without the complications and she missed Shaiming too. Meepfur Rio's wings fell. Oh, dear! It had been some time since he'd met Morgan, hadn't it? It only followed, he supposed. Perhaps he wasn't entirely gone, though? After all, he still had Alex, and she'd continued her relationship with Orin...obviously. Morgan had quite explicitly said 'gone,' though.
"I'm so sorry, dear." He patted her hand gently. "Has he gone entirely?" mistalina13 "Not entirely. I still love him dearly, but he's not quite the same anymore." Not quite the same indeed, he loves someone else too. Another faint smile, but her fingers curled and she gripped the hem of her tshirt.
Why can't he just come home already?! She had spent the last while penning up her worry and agitation about him being gone so long and it was catching up with her. Meepfur "Not quite the same?" Rio tipped his head. Alex and he were, essentially, still two separate beings, each their own self, though eventually that would change, providing whatever attempt they made worked. "Has he become one with Shaiming, then?"
He hated to make her upset by speaking of it, but at the same time, he couldn't be any help at all unless he had details! mistalina13 Morgan shook her head. "Shaiming is...gone too. Tian Yue was the one left behind after they changed. He's wonderful..." But his heart isn't mine alone. She couldn't voice the last bit, it would start a chain of too many questions she couldn't or wasn't willing to answer.
Please be safe, come home soon and I'll give you a good smack for worrying me. She did her best to relax her demeanor and force back any tears that might have tried to appear in her eyes. Meepfur Oh! Well, it wasn't nearly as bad as he'd feared! Actually, it seemed quite wonderful, save for the way she trailed off, leaving something unsaid. "Oh, so not gone gone, then. The same but one, and therefore different because of it."
Tian Yue. Would he and Alex have a different name when they changed? An idle thought he saved for later. Morgan was far more important, and though she did try to relax herself, Rio was quite adept at reading people. He wouldn't be a very good Love god if he weren't! "Wonderful, and yet something concerns you still."
"You can tell me, dear. I'm very good at keeping secrets." It was very true; while he loved to gossip, if he wasn't supposed to say something, he was very careful not to say it. mistalina13 "He went off somewhere...on a command from his Lord...one or two weeks he said...but it's been nearly a month..." Morgan bit her lip slightly. "...and I'm afraid that something might've happened to him." Meepfur "Harmodius sent him somewhere?" Rio couldn't deny that he was curious. He had yet to encounter Destruction since his rebirth. One or two weeks, but a month...hmm. "I know he can be frightening, but perhaps Harmodius would know? He did make us, after all." mistalina13 Morgan nodded numbly. "I've never seen Harmodius...just heard about him." Maybe he would know, but was it something worth seeking him out for, to ask about? Meepfur "I have yet to see him, myself. Alex saw him quite awhile ago." Forgetting about keeping his place in his book, he folded his hands in his lap. "He treated her quite courteously, actually, though it may have had something to do with her being my future host. Still, if it would ease your mind, it may be worth it."
"And if you don't want to go alone," Rio added as an afterthought, "I'd be happy to keep you company." mistalina13 "Maybe, I'll....think about it." The thought of facing Harmodius frightened Morgan though, it definately wasn't something she could do alone. "Thanks, Rio." Meepfur "Well, if you decide to, let me know? Mine is the green door on the left in the hallway. Oh! And if you do go to see him, it might be wise to bring an offering. Gods like those." And Harmodius was the highest of them all! That, and you could probably never be too careful when visiting Destruction.
He smiled reassuringly. "You're more than welcome, Morgan. It's always a pleasure." mistalina13 "Alright." Morgan made a note of the door. "...and good to know." She sighed softly and smiled a little. "I'm glad I ran into you today." Meepfur "Well, I'm glad you did, too!" Rio smiled his honest, amiable smile. "Personally," he put in, "I think everything's going to be just fine. Try something to cheer yourself up a little when you get tired of worrying, hmm?" mistalina13 Morgan nodded. "Yeah, I'll try my best." Meepfur "Good." Rio gave her another smile, before uncrossing his legs and gathering book and plush, making to stand. "Well, I'd better go feed my cat before she wastes away and never forgives me. I'll see you again sometime! Soon, I hope." mistalina13 "Yes, go feed your cat, Rio." She smiled softly and pulled her feet up on the couch she wasn't ready to go upstairs just yet. "Hopefully we will see each other again soon."

A Dragon ReturnedDamn you, I love you too much to stay angry.Joint Roleplay 19Sosiqui Gianfar and Gabriel's joyous reunion had lifted Tian Yue's spirits, but as he left them and turned his steps toward his own chambers, an odd weariness nipped at his heels. It was good to be home, but he had Lucius to seek out now, not to mention his Lord, and... just as importantly... Morgan to reconcile with.
What you asked of her was not honorable, and you are late coming back. But there was none of the horrible dragging dread that had plagued him before his journey. Whatever her response was... he would take it gracefully. I missed her so much, and for me it seemed only a week and a half...
He reached one hand towards the doorknob leading into his chambers, then paused and thought better of it. Toki would probably be in there, and he wanted to see Morgan first, not be swarmed by his needy Aoidei. Instead, he turned and entered the Aoidei quarters, padding quietly down the inner hallway until he reached Morgan's room, where he quickly knocked. "Morgan? Love? I'm back..." mistalina13 After talking with Rio again Morgan had locked herself in her room, so she could avoid Ser long enough to think. At present she was laying face down in the pillows on her bed trying to recover from her last bout of tears. She was worried and angry because the Dragon hadn't returned yet.
Hearing the knock on her door she sat up and just about screamed for the person to go away, thinking it was Toki again trying to get her out of her room. When she realised it was Tian Yue's voice from the other side of the door and not the aoide's she got up and walked to the door.
It took her shaking hands a moment to negotiate with the lock and once it was undone the door would open quite suddenly and nearly hit the wall on the inside of the room.
"Damn you!" Tears were begining to well up in her eyes again. She raised a hand and moved to slap him across the face. "Gone so long...I thought you'd gone and gotten yourself killed or something!" Sosiqui Startled, Tian Yue's first instinct was to dodge - but instead, he merely flinched and let the blow land. It stung and sent his glasses askew, and he fumbled for her hand afterwards. "Morgan - I'm so sorry... I was on a small starship with a faster-than-light drive, and the captain only informed me after we got back that the theory of relativity had... well, done what it does. Damn Einstein." He made a face.
Tian Yue took a moment to straighten out his glasses, then gave her a look of anxious longing, desperate for her to understand. "I missed you so much... and I'm sorry. For leaving you, with things as they were between us... I didn't understand. Anything. I was an idiot trying to cling wildly to anything that would make Crispin... me... more rightfully Tien Lung... I was a fool, trying too hard to be a human in dragon's clothing... and in doing so, I hurt you. I know I did." He looked down. "I don't ask you to say everything is okay, or even to forgive me. Just to hear that I am sorry, and that I love you dearly, and that I will work until the end of time to make right what I have wronged." mistalina13 "Yes, you hurt me. I'm still angry and jealous of someone I've never even laid eyes on!" Morgan bit her lip to keep back the tears but she wouldn't be able to do so for long. "I was worried about you when you left and it only got worse the longer you were gone."
Her hands shook and she tightened her grip on his hand slightly to steady herself. "I was afraid...very afraid for you." Then the tears came. "You put me through hell, but I still love you." She couldn't offer forgiveness yet, but she was pleased to see him back alive and well. Sosiqui "I'm sorry," Tian Yue whispered, pulling her closer, gently. "I can say all I want that there is so much I've never done before, never had to deal with - but that's not an excuse to act like a moron. No wonder my Lord Destruction treated me as he did..."
His voice trailed off, and he shook his head before offering Morgan a shy smile. "I have found Tien Lung after a stern lecture from, I think, Shaiming... or someone who sounded very much like him. I haven't spoken to Lord Harmodius yet, but I had to see you first." Zhijian probably wouldn't approve of it, but he was fairly sure his Lord could wait longer without worrying than Morgan could. If at all. mistalina13 Morgan let herself be pulled and leaned against him. "At least, you found what you needed." She buried her face against his shoulder and waited for her tears to slow. "Thank you." She let out a sigh and closed her eyes. Sosiqui "I did," he said, and left it at that for now. "Did Toki help you out, or Nebula? I'm sure they were both worried... or quite bored." Tian Yue sighed and encircled Morgan lightly in his arms. "I can't promise I won't be called away again - I live in the service of my Lord. But maybe I can find a nearby portal for you, or something... I don't want you to be bored, trapped, alone when I can't be here." His expression was filled with concern. mistalina13 "I kept to myself most of the time...Toki nearly went bonkers when he ran out of places to clean..." Of course it didn't help that Morgan had nothing for him to do. "....and Nebula...haven't seen her." Morgan tilted her head and nuzzled the nape of his neck.
"You have to do what you have to do. Just don't worry me like that ever again, or it'll be worse than a slap next time." She slipped her arms around him, giving him a gentle squeeze to reassure herself that he was actually there. Sosiqui "I'll do my very best not to - I don't want to earn more terrible vengeance, after all," he added, with a sly grin. "Poor Toki, though. Was he very annoying? He doesn't know I'm back yet." Tian Yue put one finger to his lips in a shushing motion. "First you, then the rampaging hordes waiting in my rooms..." mistalina13 "Just a bit...kept asking me for things to do." Morgan looked up and wrinkled her nose. "Didn't help when I locked myself in my room again." She smiled. "Oh, we do have a houseguest...who is probably currently keeping Toki occupied." A little nervous laugh. Sosiqui Tian Yue blinked. "A houseguest? Are you tormenting my Aoide?" he added, with a grin, but he gave her a curious look. mistalina13 "The letter I sent to my parents...when we went on our date got to them. Ser saw it and came looking for me...she found me when I snuck out for a walk one day. I guess she fell through the same portal I did."
Morgan slipped a hand up and brushed his bangs from his eyes. "She's really nice, just very curious." Rocking up onto her toes she pressed her lips against his lightly. "But, now that your home, she's probably going to try and stuff me into a dress and make me up like a doll." Sosiqui "Ser? Another person from Earth, then?" Tian Yue looked thoughtful, then paused as she pressed her lips to his. "Mmm... that, I missed," he said, quietly, drawing her over to sit with him on the edge of the bed. "You can tell your friend that I like you exactly as you are. Perhaps I'll issue some divine edict against 'dolling you up' against your will," he added, with a wink. mistalina13 "Mhm." Morgan settled next to him on the bed and leaned against him again. "To be honest, I doubt she'd listen. It took long enough to convince her that I had a boyfriend...let alone what you are. So, be prepared for a million questions when you do meet her." She smiled slightly. Sosiqui "I think I can handle it," Tian Yue said dryly, then smiled. "I'm more worried about presenting myself once more to my Lord... and speaking with Lucius," he added, slowly. "But on that score - Tien Lung once loved Universe, but time and the Fading destroyed those bonds. For my part, I approach it now only as seeking to help an old friend... as my Lord wished." mistalina13 At the mention of Lucius she stiffened, but did her best to keep her uneasiness from her expression. Instead as he spoke her expression shifted to one of slight confusion. Maybe the change had something to do with when he was away.
"I think you'll do fine, beloved." The confusion subsided for the moment and she nuzzled his cheek. Sosiqui "I hope so..." Tian Yue shook his head, and pulled her closer. He hadn't missed the tension that had arisen at the mention of Universe. "I've figured out who and what I am - now I just have to prove it to others, but the first was the most important, and the hardest... but what about you? Other than wanting to slap me, and your friend's arrival - how have you been?" mistalina13 "Well enough, though, I think I've managed to worry Toki." Disapearing from time to time, avoiding sleeping and eating every once and a while and locking herself in her room in fact. Hopefully the aoide wasn't too worried.
"Much better now though..." She sighed contently and closed her eyes. "...much much better. I missed you a lot." Sosiqui "Me too... I missed you, I mean." Tian Yue bent and kissed her lightly, on the cheek. "Someday maybe I can take you where I went. The Gallery of Celestia - it was beautiful, once. I want to restore it if I can, later. Make it as beautiful as Shaiming's memories, and take you there." mistalina13 "I hope you can, it sounds like an interesting place." Morgan smiled. "Out of curiosity, what's it like up there...between the stars, I mean?" Sosiqui "Vast... and empty. Too empty." Tian Yue sighed. "Destruction's reign and Universe's binding have brought down many stars... but it's still beautiful. As a dragon, I can move through my element as easily as I can through the air here - I'm not sure I can describe how that feels. It's wonderful, coming home..." He smiled. "Perhaps one day we can do that together, too, if I can find some type of protective suit or magics for you." mistalina13 Morgan ran her fingers though his hair. "Everything will right itself eventually, I imagine." The downslide of things had to end at some point, didn't it? She smiled, giving him a quick peck on the cheek. "Maybe. It would be an honor." Sosiqui "If the balance does not return..." Tian Yue shook his head. "I'm sworn to be neutral - Harmodius is my Lord regardless of his form, but this imbalance is dangerous. How can we rebuild the Pantheon with no mortals to believe?" He sighed. "I'm not sure things will right themselves. Someone will have to help it along, but it can't be me." mistalina13 "You'd be suprised how many still have faith..." Morgan was determined to keep him from a sour mood, while he was in her company at least. Taking his hand she laced their fingers together and smiled up at him. "...even in this dangerous time." Sosiqui "Yes... some still do." Tian Yue grinned. "The ship's engineer on the starship I traveled on, Penny - she has a bright belief. You'd like her, I think."
He looked pensive then, though. "But others, I think, cannot concieve of a god that is not loving, and just, and kind - they see only proof of divine absence in what has happened. I can't blame them." mistalina13 Morgan nodded. She knew the 'darker' gods existed, but thankfully she had not come across one yet. "Regardless of what happens, I believe you and your strength, never forget that." Sosiqui "Thank you." Tian Yue beamed. "And I can feel it, you know - the spark of your belief... not just your love, but that too. It's... very precious." He leaned in again and kissed her on the lips this time, more deeply. mistalina13 Morgan's cheeks brightened as the blood rushed to them. She returned the kiss and laced her arms around his neck. "As you are to me..." Murmured words as they drew apart. Sosiqui "I'm so glad - I was so afraid that I'd earned worse than a slap, that you wouldn't..." Tian Yue's voice trailed off, and instead of continuing the sentence he held her more tightly. mistalina13 "Never, beloved, don't even think of it." Morgan rested her head against his shoulder again, enjoying being held close.

Wanderer, WandererMorgan goes down to the common room and meets Harmodius.Joint Roleplay 20mistalina13 Everything seemed to return to normal, in a sense, now that Tian Yue had returned. Morgan felt better knowing that he was safe and close by. At the moment the Dragon was otherwise occupied so she had chosen to venture downstairs for time to herself to collect her thoughts.
Out of habit she stopped at the base of the stairs and looked about before venturing out into the open. Ivynian There was only one body warming the downstairs, a boy somewhere in his mid-teens, who might be some form of drow from her games...or maybe a morphing god? He was completely supine on one of the great round cushion couches, toying with some group of things that glittered remarkably. He picked each up in turn, seeming to weigh them, check their play in the light of the sconces, then arrange them and re-arrange them in various orders on the cushion. mistalina13 Morgan's gaze came to rest on a boy on one of the couches. Who was that? It was certainly no one she'd ever seen before. She approached him cautiously, remembering several warnings from others before about unfriendly beings here.
When she came close to him she stopped again, watching him go about his task, a look of slight puzzlement crossing her features. Ivynian "Befuddlement wears well on your face. A mask often donned, I presume?" He didn't look over, but gave a rasping chuckle, "Did you need something?"mistalina13 Morgan nearly jumped when she was spoken to, she certainly hadn't thought she'd treaded loud enough to be noticed. "I-ah-No, I'm just wandering." The quickest most reasonable explaination she could come up with. And now she was visibly nervous. Ivynian "That's a bizarre hobby. In most fairytales it ends up with the wanderer meeting up with three different initially frightening or injured animals that the wanderer then helps and gets to call on later. Does that mean I should ask something of you, and then promise to turn stones into rubies for you later when your dragon prince says he won't marry you without a dowry?"mistalina13 Morgan was already nervous and confused, now it seemed like the young man was speaking in riddles. Great! In response he would only get another very confused look and a sigh. Maybe I'm just loosing my mind. Ivynian "You aren't being very impressive at the moment." He looked over finally, eyeing her up and down. "And no, you aren't losing your mind. You just aren't getting the references. "mistalina13 "No, I'm not." She admitted finally, looking down. This young man had to be a reader or something. Hurray, something else to be uneasy about! "Might I ask why it would matter if I'm being...impressive?" Ivynian "Because most people beleive that first impressions are important? Unless you want to appear as a dullard to every joe you meet? " He shifted so that he could sit cross-legged. "Why don't we start this over in a manner that will be less confusing then. What is your name?" Tien Lung bedded this?mistalina13 "Often, I find first impressions to be somewhat of a deception, so it is not best to go by them alone." She smiled faintly. "My name is Morgan. Now that you know my name, what might I call you?"
She didn't know if she would get an answer, but it couldn't hurt to try. Ivynian "Bhairava. " He doubted the reference would make it through what seemed to be a fairly oblivious and cluttered mind. "Do you like them?"Instantly each of the stones he had been moiling slowly levitated into the open air between them, dangling and spinning there like iouns. mistalina13 Morgan recalled a similar name from a mythology text she had read ages ago (or so it seemed) and her eyes widened a little, but she did her best to keep her expression smooth. The girl didn't really notice the gems until they were in the air between the two of them.
"Very pretty." Her gaze flicked between each of the stones, though the colors were familiar she couldn't think of the proper names for all of them. It was very tempting to reach out and touch them. Ivynian "It's taken a long time to get them cut and formed correctly. You are no doubt familiar with their purpose, considering your choice of boyfriends. Why have you never been presented to the Throne, if it is intended that you live among the gods? You wouldn't be the first mortal to do so, nor the first to lay with one......though usually they were presented so that they could be given talismans or some other protections against the-" He widened his eys dramatically, annunciating the syllables individually, "rampant manna that flows around the Reborn."The stones remained floating where they were, flickering with inner lights. mistalina13 Morgan nodded. "And I have no idea..." A little whistful sigh as she continued to watch the stones. It was something that had never crossed her mind really. Her gaze flicked to the other being on the couch. "...none at all." Ivynian "No idea regarding the stones, or no idea regarding your presentment? " He winced, as if a headache like pain had stabbed along his temple. mistalina13 "My presentment." Morgan shifted her weight slowly from the heels to the balls of her feet slowly. A habit of not being able to stay totally still for long plus a little bit of nervous and concern that her friend might come looking for her. Ivynian "You do not seem repulsed to be so near them, the stones, for knowing what they are. " mistalina13 "No, I'm not, only because of the time I've spent here...and what I've seen. Even though it likely wouldn't count for much. I imagine I'd have a different view, had I just arrived here." Ivynian "Then the stay has been beneficial, and you are wiser for it. " The statement felt like there was another show dropping. And then it did. All in all, it meant she knew exactly what would be happening to her. Tien had been precise in her choice, and convenience had placed the host in dumbfounded arms reach. Fluidly he stood and grasped the correct jewel, then pushed forward in mimic of a Tiger claw blow. The Edelsteine embedded as swift as the motion brought it in contact with flesh, though the elder's claws left thin, shallow cuts from continued momentum. No tricks, no deceptions, a perfectly opposite delivery from the Influence. The straight forward seemed better for the girl anyway.

A Cat In Lace and PetticoatsAsherah goes to join her mistress.Solo Roleplay 09The feline aoide padded up the spiral staircase fusing with lace and petticoats the whole way. She couldn’t understand while people dressed this way it was such a hassle and the massive amount of fabric got in the way of everything not to mention it itched and pinched certain places that were just inconvient. Scowling as she made her way down the hall Asherah reminded herself of why she was doing this. She had to be there when her mistress needed tending to, since she had bonded with her chosen. A naïve girl, from what she had heard. Surely that could not be the truth entirely; her mistress was very picky about certain things. She soon found herself in front of the star flecked door and frowned slightly. It wouldn’t be right just to go in that way. After straightening her little dress and petticoats the feline aoide turned and headed into the door slightly hidden into the alcove that lead into aoide hallway of Tian Yue’s quarters. Asherah allowed herself a little laugh and twitched her tail out of the way before closing the hallway door lightly behind her. The masquerade had begun, now to fool the other partygoers.

First Whispers ~ Part IAnd so it begins...Solo Roleplay 10Morgan could not recall how she made it up back up the stairs to the Dragon’s quarters, yet here she was staring at the door that led to the the aoide hallway. The pain in her left arm seemed to cover her mind in a fog; she never did have a particularly high pain tolerance. On top and along the sides of the small square gem embedded in her left bicep there were scratches left by the one who had placed the gem ********.” She muttered and winced; had those scratches and that much force been necessary? Using her other hand to open the door she held her left arm close as she entered in case Toki or Tian Yue happened to be within sight. The nerdling looked around and breathed a sigh of relief.Thankfully neither was. Closing the door behind her, she headed for her room only to be greeted by a happy chirp from Paint as he fluttered in front of her, looking for an invitation to land. “Hi, Paint.” Reaching up she tapped her right shoulder, telling the winged creature to land and he fluttered down and settled himself in that spot once her fingers were out of the way and let out another little questioning chirp. “Don’t ask, okay?” She frowned slightly. “I just…need a bath…and time to think.” It took time to find suitable clothes. It seemed Ser had taken some of her more comfortable garments, for mending or just to get her to wear other things. Normally she would've been annoyed but at the moment Morgan didn’t really care. Once she had gathered clean garments and her few toiletries she headed into the bathroom she shared with the aoidei and closed the door. Paint fluttered off her shoulder, landing on the edge of the sink. Morgan ran the water for her bath and began to shed her clothes while she waited for the tub to fill to suitable level. Before climbing into the water she twisted her hair up into a messy semblance of a bun and plucked a pair of kanzashi from the pile of clothes and stuck them through the pile of hair, removed her glasses and set them atop the clothes. She let out a relieved sigh, feeling her muscles relax as she settled into the warm water. The throbbing in her arm even eased a little, though the skin around the gem was still sort of angry red and purple as if deeply bruised. Hopefully those marks would go away with time. Shaiming was right…about everything. My coming here was no coincidence.Morgan let out an annoyed snort then and let herself sink into the warm water a little further. Was there even such a thing as coincidence really, when the gods were involved? Her head lulled against the back of the bath and she felt herself slipping in the familiar darkness of sleep though something loomed just at the edge, waiting it seemed… Come to me…girl…
Wait…who are you?
