They weren't alone. Those words echoed in her mind. She could smell his scent. He was spying....
Abel. That a*****e.
In one swift move, Ruby shoved Kentoy away to a safest place she could see (which seemed to be behind a tree) and jumped. She jumped as high as she could onto the closest branch as Abel.
"Did you really think I couldn't smell you? You a*****e. You were spying." Ruby hissed, letting her fangs slip out of their usual hiding spot. Anger and frustration spread her body. He knows now. What if he told Ayu? Her life would be without meaning.....

It can influence the weak......" Just as he thought. The unattractive one spotted him and even cared to pay him a little visit, telling that he's spying? Abel runs his fingers thoroughly on his fine dark hair while chuckling. "Are you having your paranoia attacks? Why would I do such a worthless thing in such a time like this?" He stood up and straighten his polo. "I was here a bit earlier than you two." Grinning at her. They were the ones who barge themselves in his place.
"Scared to know your little dimwit secret?" A sly smile appeared on the corner of his lips while staring at the girl's poor reaction. He walks towards her then lean his body until his lips almost touch her ears. "Now were even." After whispering, Abel suddenly leap as high as he can until his hand grasp another branch and do a perfect 380 degree swing towards the other nearby tree. After a successful attempt, he turns towards Ruby's direction then bestowed her a wink before turning his back onto her again. Such a mindless creature. "...It can spread around the world

Ruby closed her eyes in frustration. She'd had enough of Abel. Always making her suffer. Always teasing her about the most ridiculous things. And now, he knew her secret. What should she do? If she panicked, Abel would notice and he'd just tease her more. She had to do something. And fast.
It was time she showed him she wasn't weak.
Ruby jumped up onto the same, long branch as Abel, and he turned back just as Ruby came at him with a high kick to the jaw.
Ruby scurried back just as he fell. He pinched his eyes shut and clutched his face. Peeerfect. Now she was in for it.

It can influence the weak......" Out of nowhere, the ugly scum approached and made him a blow. With his other foot stepped backward after the deed, he can feel how strong that kick was. Momentarily, Abel straighten up then brush the blood on the corner of his lips. Instead of returning the favor, a small grin mark on his face. "What a pity. Is that how you attack your opponent? while defenseless?" his eyes slowly turns to bloody red. "Tch. A coward's doing." he pocketed his hands then slowly walks away.
"If you're ready to face the challenge then. Make sure you see me first. I'd be glad to take you on." Anyhow, he can still taste the bitterly sweet of his liquid from his lips. It's been a while since he had this urge of doing it so. Those ancient wars had thirst him for blood. Abel paused for a while, "At any rate, how's my little brat doing?" "...It can spread around the world

Ruby crossed her arms as Abel stood up and wiped the blood of the corner of his lips. Well, she'd learned one thing about Abel: He had self control. Something Ruby didn't have. And needed.
"She's doing fine. I'm not going to let anyone hurt her." Ruby said and frowned, pausing to see what he'd do now.
"Oh, and Abel? I'm..... Sorry I kicked you....." Ruby sighed, and looked down. She had to do it sooner or later. She'd kicked him in the jaw for crying out loud! She had to say sorry. It was the right thing to do. Something Abel didn't seem to understand.

It can influence the weak......" Satisfied, Abel just grin then step his other foot behind him while he turn to face the girl. "Probably you will." After hearing her apology, Abel nodded and lowered his eyes beneath them.
"Your friend is waiting for you. He might be wondering where you've been. I suggest you go down and talk to him." That's a naive thing to say for a change. Though he wasn't that showy, knowing Diorella is in good shape made him somewhat happy. At the corner of his eyes, He gaze at her. "You're ugly don't you know that?"
Then he leans against the other trunk while examining her. Closing his eyes he continued to say those overflowing comments, "Your skin is pale and flaky. Your hair is a little bit dry. Unpolished nails and lips were dry. do you have any plans of visiting the bathroom? You sweat too much. You're filthy." "...It can spread around the world

Ruby sighed and shook her head. Wow. He was one to talk. Had he ever had a look in the mirror?
"I know I'm ugly. I don't want to be beautiful when it'll do me no good. I came here to this earth to protect. Not paint my nails and go shopping for dresses." Ruby hissed and crossed her arms as she looked down at herself. Seriously. She wasn't that ugly, right? She'd already been told by many others that she was ugly and disgusting. The girls back at home refused to like her because she was a vampire and not pretty enough.
Horrible people.
"Okay, I'll make a deal with you: If I can look beautiful at the Ball, you have to promise you'll be nice to people for a change." Ruby said and stuck her tongue at him.
Ha Ha! Take that Abel!

It can influence the weak......" She's making a deal out of it. As a response, Abel closed his eyes "That would never happened. Once ugly is forever ugly." that wasn't the right words he wants to imply. Frankly, Abel is having a tough time what words could he address this girl properly. Not that 'ugly' literally means.
At any rate, He must admit, this girl knows how to make him smile. With a little smile on his face, Abel crossed his arms "You're a little slow when it comes to understanding, aren't you? Do you want me to rephrase that for you?"
He gave out a harsh sigh then proceed, "Basically, invest some of your time to make yourself feel good. You're turning into an old hag if you don't work on those points I stressed out a while ago." "...It can spread around the world

Ruby sighed. Timothy had told her so many times she was ugly she'd lost count. She'd been told by the girls back at home she was ugly. Hell, she'd been told by her own sister she was ugly. What had she ever done wrong?!
"Have you ever looked in the mirror? You're not so beautiful yourself." Ruby snapped and turned away. Really, was she that ugly? She shouldn't let it get to her, but it bothered her. Stupid beauty temptation.

It can influence the weak......" Abel saw her walked away. He stood then pocketed his hands once more. "I'm looking forward to see you at the ball." Maybe there's something about that "beautiful" word she's talking about. Let's see the outcome if she will do it. He grinned.
He even heard her retaliate something. Abel chuckled softly, "I'm not beautiful. I rather called it, 'devilishly' attractive." he turns his back on her then leaps on the upper branch. "Make sure you go to that annoying ball. If you won't let me court my beloved little dimwit sister. I might do something flavorful."
Abel stoop down while looking at Ruby beneath. "Rubii, I assure you. Hurting Ayu would be the least of my priorities. You have my word until you defeat me." "...It can spread around the world

Ruby didn't understand. Why did Abel dislike her so much? They both had the same intention: To protect Ayu. Or perhaps he just hates everyone....
"I'm not going to the stupid ball. I don't want to go buy a stupid dress and buy stupid shoes I can't even walk in." Ruby sighed, letting a small yawn escape her lips. She was tired, hungry, pissed off and annoyed. She wanted to go home, meaning back to her down. But, perhaps she could learn more about Abel.....

It can influence the weak......" Abel chuckled, "That's a mouthful of 'stupidity' you got there." He stood up and stared at her cautiously, "Suit yourself. Do you think I'll plea for you to come? As if it would be a loss."
Hearing her like that is like a music right into his ears. He does like 'EVIL' things. But then again, Abel runs his fingers right through his hair just like he always do. "You'll be leaving your pet out of the forest? How selfish." referring to the guy beneath them.
"Whether you like it or not. If you're fated to be at that ball. There's nothing going to stop you from coming or not." Oh how he loved to annoy her!
"Hmmm.. It does sounds good if you won't come. I could be able to play with her." He bits his small finger while fantasizing over Diorella. "...It can spread around the world

Ruby sighed and shook her head. She knew he would say that. She was tired of him making fun of her. She'd had enough. She needed a friend right now. Perhaps she could find Ayu back at the dorms.
"That's it. I'm going back. It's getting dark." Ruby said, pointing up to the sky. The sun was going down, and she didn't want to be stuck here with Abel. Especially in the dark.

He looked towards the sky, "It might rain soon. You go ahead. I'll be lurking around the hallways for the time being." Just like that then He leaped down towards the ground.

Kentoy watched the two's conversation from afar. Not wanting to interrupt or get caught in between their fight. He really wanted to help Ruby fend herself off with that bully, Abel. But he was to helpless and knows nothing about combat.
Balling his fists and gritting his teeth, he looked down on his hands. I'm so hopeless.. What if Abel wanted to hurt Ayu? Will I fend her? Hanging his head low, he waited for Ruby to come to him.
