"Damien. Cool name! Yeah, we need to find it. Soon. We don't have much time." She squeezed his arm fondly and her chin pointed in one direction. "Let's try this way. Our weapons should-" Her words were interrupted by the crackling of the headset, and she put it on one ear, just barely catching Lowe's question. She pressed the button to speak. "Hey, sweetheart, I'm at the destination spot. We're fine. Get here quick, okay? We could use the help." She put the headset back on her neck, and smiled up at Damien sweetly. "Such sweethearts, those boys. Always looking out for me. When we get out of here, you should come look me up, okay? We could get to know each other a little better." A wink, and then she was back to work, leading him down to search in a spot where few seemed to be trying.

Marsh startled when the headset crackled in his ear. He was used to half tuning out the voices that weren't talking to him, but he was being directly addressed now. He tucked the roll of bandages back into the pocket it had come from and lifted his free hand to press the button. Rown Found a dead end and a trap. Retracing my steps to the last branching.

Adam nodded, keeping Petia aimed around the corner as he turned it. Clear. Maybe even the monsters didn't like to enter here. How many skeletons would they find propped up in corners? Curled in the fetal position? He shook his head and continued. The whispering was gone, but there were other sounds, people running by. What would happen if they didn't reach the center? If they got lost?
"What's your name?" he asked then, glancing toward the other man. It was potentially a bad decision, putting humanity to the face he may see die, but he always liked to know his teammates' names... and for now? This guy was his teammate.

[[ Isaac is still at Dead Zone A ]] /Also nothing.../ Isaac thought to himself. One hand tightened on the handle of his whip, and Kyanos let out a pre-emptive whine in his head. He loathed, a little, that he had split up from someone he wanted dearly to protect-- but there was nothing he could do about it now. The mission was more important than trying to hunt for Adam in a deadly maze, and Isaac knew his priorities, at the least... It depressed him, but he knew them. Rabid Ice Weasel Headset: All right. Keep me posted, and stay safe, Adam. I'll see you in the center.

DEAD END ZONE B
Lex gripped Mordy with both hands, head cocked slightly to block out the strange 'glow' that seemed to be coming from their weapons. And there were a couple more glows as well as talking just behind him. He was fairly sure that his body had blocked the glow from Mordy and they hadn't noticed him yet. Which, the Mist Hunter couldn't necessarily say was a bad thing. But...
::You may not like it, but it would be safer. For the time being.::Becca and Cody Headset: Really, Librarian? Geez. Can't do anything without me there to hold your hand? -pause- Awe, come on B! You're just so sweet and sugary. Like a lollipop! ::....dear God I hope something shoots you in the a**. That was ridiculous.::Becca and Cody Headset: I'm not sure where I'm at. Heard some whispering sound. But didn't find anything. Looks like I ain't alone either. The Mist Hunter regarded the others there, debating on whether or not he should approach them. He really had a nagging feeling of wanting to meet up with Becca and Cody. Something that unnerved him as he didn't usually feel so strongly about wanting to be around someone. Maybe it's because this time....this time will be the last.Becca and Cody Headset: N'awwww sugarcake! You do care! Cody....? Greaaaat. Now what had the other Mist Hunter done? You better be alright, Librarian. Now...what was he supposed to do?
::Find another way, idiot.:: Mordy rumbled at him, still seeming slightly on edge being here.

Lowe sighed with relief, and then caught himself doing the motion. His cheeks colored ever so slightly and he tapped at one of them with the back of his hand. Inside his mind Afzal was snickering, loudly, at how stupid he sounded.
ARE YOU GETTING ATTACHED, BOY? YOU KNOW WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THEM? DIG THEIR GRAVES. The snickering turned into cruel cackles, and Lowe shook his head as he touched the headset once more.He couldn't think of anything to say because, well, that meant he was getting attached to them. Lowe wasn't supposed to get attached because when the time came he wouldn't want to let go. His silence crackled over the headset before he simply let go.
YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO DIE, NOT A PLACE TO LIVE. KEEP MOVING, OR YOU'LL BE LEFT BEHIND.
Lowe frowned by nodded, understanding. He was being talked to, he coldn't stick to his own thoughts for too long. "Lowe Merryweather, Sun faction. Weapon is Afzal.

[Dead End Zone B]
The previous branching had three other corridors to choose from, and Marsh paused for a moment to examine each. They seemed featureless, nearly indistinguishable. A soft, barely audible whispering sounded down the walls of the center one.
It was as good an indication as he had. Marsh followed it, trying to hear what sounded like words just out of earshot.

Velda was on her hands and knees, inspecting the dais for any secret panels, trap doors, or at least some kind of clue as to the location of the artifact. While her expression was clam and movements smooth, she was working with much more speed than usual. Henry was doing the same around the clearing, though with a great deal less enthusiasm.

"Adam North, Life faction," he said, and then nodded toward his gun, "Petia." It seemed like this Lowe didn't like to get familiar, and he couldn't blame him. It was his own worry. Yes, they could stay all business. Why not? Another man came by and he watched him go. "Are we going to split up, or stay together? We'll find others no matter where we go, and there's a... lot of ways to go."

Lowe was about to answer when someone walked by in the darkness, and his face lit up for a moment before he turned away from Adam and chased down the person. It only took him a few steps (and he actually dropped Afzal mid stride) to catch up, and without hesitating at all Lowe wrapped his arms around Marsh. "Marsh." It was weird, he was getting entirely too attached. Afzal was right, this was going to be a mistake, and he just hugged the man entirely.
There was a high chance he was going to get shot or punched an all, seeing as he ambushed him from behind in a scary place. Way to go Lowe.
IDIOT, FOOL. YOU WILL DIG YOUR OWN GRAVE THIS WAY, WHY NOT USE ME AND START? TAKE HIM DOWN, HE'S DEAD WEIGHT TO YOU.
Shut up Afzal. Just...shut up.

"S-sure thing" He managed to get out. For the briefest of moments, he thought she would let him go so she could speak into her headset. No so. "Y-yes, they do sound quite sweet" He said, then audibly gulped. "Ahh..s-sure?" The sun hunter was then lead towards a spot to look for the artifact. He did his best to look around the place for the artifact (and anywhere other then Em), But so far there was no signs of the item. "..Erm, perhaps it would be breast if we split up?" He tried to suggest. "Just around here to look. We'd cover more distance."

Becca's face screwed up in a scowl as she heard the reference to her and a lollipop before mentally gagging. What the hell was he thinking calling her all the sugary treats in the world. Did she seem sweet? She didn't think so.
Becca's face instantly shut down at her Weapon's teasing before she got on the head set again.Lex Headset: I find this so endearing that you seem to only think of food for myself, please do go on Lex, My heart is fluttering at your comments. It's making my finger twitch on Vee's Trigger with this...bloodlust feeling. I feel like that's the right word to put it. Was she hinting at killing hiim? It wouldn't be the first time the Woman had done it and thought she barked at the boy....she would follow up with a bite as soon as his scrawny mist hunter self sauntered in here. Oh she would be in PRIME position.
Her face scrunched at his comment before relaxing in a more pessimistic....sad expression.Cody and Lex Headset: It's not a joke Lex...or to you Cody. -small sound (almost like a clearing of throat) Cody? Cody! keep moving--- His line went dead, instantly paling the Mist huntress's features. This was too soon. Neither of her friends we're here with her with her.
But she couldn't relax. Yeah missions had been easier when she wasn't teamed with the other two. In fact, she had engrossed herself in them so much she didn't have to think of the other two men. One never knew what would happen in the hunter world. Regardless of that cool demeanor, that rational logic that helped her so many times before, she couldn't help the feeling inside her.
Those are my boys. That's all she could think of for the boys. They were hers and they were here with her.Cody and Lex Headset: If either of you die in here, I will make sure that your visit to the other world will be absolute hell. You both better be here in the next....25 minutes or I will come back there and drag you both here. The line zipped as she took a breath, standing away from the other hunters near her. She didn't at the moment, care about the artifact that her weapon couldn't sense. No, there were plenty of help here to scour the rocky room. And so, Cody and Lex we're capable hunters. They would make it just fine. She knew her boys. It was too bad her head and her heart we're so at war over it.

[Labyrinth Center]
Dom stepped in through the portal, allowing himself a few moments to get accustomed to the unnerving atmosphere and pressure. He, for one, detested the fact that there was an involuntary sense of fear that rippled through him, but no matter how he tried to divorce himself from sentiment in the last year, the fear of death never quite went away. He also hated the fact that Jared would be feeling very smug about it all.
The Sun hunter clenched the grips of his weapon as if in a preemptive response to his weapon's mockery. The way the runes on the blades glowed a bloody red – he was already on the hunt. Dom could only imagine the shark monster within them trashing about and gnashing its teeth in macabre glee.
It was said that sharks could detect a single drop of blood in an olympic sized pool. Dom scoffed the idea, denouncing it as bullshit, but Jared was right on mark .... as always. That b*****d was really something.
<....>
It was obvious that the Artifact was not here, the rare looks of confusions on the Hunter Leads said it all. And obviously, it was a cue for him to help with the search too. But... it was better that he got some specific instructions no? Dom stared hesitantly at Velda who was hard at work. Something told him it would be stupid to approach her now, but she was the head of the Life division. And if anything ... well ... it can't be as bad as dealing with Ferdinand.
“Ma'am, further instructions Ma'am”
Yeah, that sounded pretty stupid. But he would be willing to take a tongue-lashing or an insult as long as it would help him to survive.

[[ Isaac is now at DEAD END AREA B ]] When nothing bad had happened for several moments, Isaac's tense back relaxed a little. Nothing was shooting at him, falling on him, or otherwise trying to maim him-- /Looks like it's time to move,/ he thought to himself. /You are slow,/ Kyanos commented pointedly. /Slow. Slower than slow. Slow-slow. Go faster, not slow-fast./ But Isaac was done asking what his whip meant. They'd gotten over that little hurdle within the first month of being together; sometimes it was just best not to ask, especially if Kyanos was baiting him with stupid comments. And now was just not the time. Slowly, he crept forward, with only the light of his whip to guide him. He thought he'd retrace his steps to the beginning and head back-- he thought he was hearing voices when he was really hearing whispers. The turns he thought were leading him the right way were only leading him in a different direction. Again, he collided suddenly with a damp and chilly brick wall, and let out a gasp of air before springing back. His whip cracked down against the wall out of reflex, and a loud CRACK resonated from his area. Isaac winced. Shrunk a little. Withdrew his weapon back around his hand. Rabid Ice Weasel Headset: I'm at another dead end. Any more luck? At least he wasn't being hurt yet.

What? That wasn't strategy! It seemed as if the man who had passed was a friend of Lowe's, and it only made him miss his own more. Isaac was lost in here with him, but Cliff and Zoey, they were outside somewhere. Who knew what was happening to them. He shook his head to clear it and ran after Lowe. They'd stick together, he decided. They'd get through this somehow.
As he reentered the dead end, the Life Hunter gave the new man a nod. He'd heard a name... something swampy. Marsh? Marsh. Probably a surname. He stood back respectfully as the pair... embraced. Would any of his friends get out of here alive? He cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders. Right then. Mortal peril and all that.
...wait a second. That voice, he was hearing it in both ears? What in the--
"ISAAC!" Well, this was a little weird. "A dead end, huh? I never would have guessed. Welcome to the group." He gave Isaac a good hard smack on the back, grinning again. Even another moment with pleasant company was appreciated.[[ I have to go to bed, it's 2:30 in the morning. xD Feel free to godmode Adam around as agreeing to their plans, and if you get tired of waiting it's totally fine to send them on their way. ]]
