Aw. Ninja are the worst sort of people to have low dexterity. Poor guy. whee My character's a gnoll fighter. I got pretty lucky with all his rolls, actually. He's a pretty balanced character.

Hahhh... I think I just stepped on a landmine. rofl

I'll agree, they do have excellent word placement. I blame the media.

And some of my favorite authors are from the UK... But! I hear the weather's less than agreeable.

Sorry to mention this, but you sound kind of like one of my professors talking about trains. He could talk about trains all day long. whee

Oh, don't worry about him. He's probably dead in a ditch somewhere. Maybe a gulley.

Gnolls are... what, exactly? I remember Warcraft had gnolls as semi-humanoid dog creatures.

They esseintally have the same weather as I do, just minus the snow. Addmitedly, the absence of snow would make me sad, but they do get it sometimes.

And trains are so much fun to go on ~ plus, there's so many in Europe that you can quite literally get anywhere by one.

That would essentially be what DnD gnolls are too.

I did enjoy riding the train. Though there's not one used for public transportation anywhere near where I live, I was fortunate enough to ride the shinkansen while I was in Japan. Really not a bad way to travel. surprised

They have a rail line that goes under the English Channel right? Or was that a road..? sweatdrop

Can they speak like the other species? I'd imagine so, for the sake of game-play.

It would probably be fun to play again, but I'm like you: I don't know anyone else that's ever played it, and I don't really have the commitment or knowledge to try and organize one.

I've seen places that said they spoke the same language as Goblins, then an extra language like Common or something.
I've seen places where they only spoke Common.
And then places where they speak some sort of Abyssal demon language.
I went with the Common and then a bit of Elven (like a three year old's grasp of elven xD) because of my character's background.

I put waaaa~y too much thought into him, probably.

Well, did a lot more reading than I did. surprised

I was kind of excited to see that they were making a DnD-style game based on Warhammer 40k. I would at least have enough background knowledge for that, but I don't know if the setting would be too restrictive.

Palantine

I don't have any experience with Warhammer 40k.

And yeah, I like reading about stuff like that. It really helps in making races and languages and all that business, ...which is mad fun~

Mmm... too bad. That's my favorite fictional universe. I have a fairly large collection of books on the matter. whee

Yeah, I enjoy making up things like that, too. I had once tried making an RP that was similar to Star Trek but I ended up making so much background nobody felt comfortable adding things to it for fear it might break canon. Definitely not a mistake I'll make again.

You could say that. sweatdrop

Something like that sounds like fun, to me. I like details.
I think I'd much rather have a world that had been fleshed out by the thread creator than one of those settings where you can essentially be anyone or anything freely in a generic setting.
...no creativity in that.

Well, I could have used more people with your spirit. As it was, my schedule was already pretty thin, and it was too much work having to come up with all the details of the universe and keep the plot moving in the role-play at the same time.

I was trying to find some people that would either take a big part in helping me build the universe or supervise the RP, but couldn't find anyone. So the posts slowed up and eventually stopped coming, and I abandoned it.
