"Hmm..." Not breaking eye contact, Vera listened until he was done. Moving over so he had access to the sink, the half-elf picked through the different tones of what he had said, trying to read between the lines. Tilting her head to the side curiously, she bumped him slightly with her shoulder, a kind of tease. "So, basically....you took it on like a man? And that would just be creepy if you had an instant reaction..." she commented calmly, not thinking about the other interpretation her words could be seen as. "I still don't want to force you, and it feels that way every time you mention losing a bet. What was the bet anyways, and what were you playing? Since you said it was from gambling... Friends are always good. How about we just start there, like we want to be friends, and not talk about the wedding for a few months?" she suggested, her eyes looking at Baihu from the side as the half-elf thought out the compromise. "That way I won't get too...down...about it like it's so important and you can just try to relax and not freak out about it either...sound good?"

Baihu smiled at her bump. She was happy and that made him happy too. He did take it like an honest man. That was what made him different from the other guardians. Minus Yellow and Shizuka who were girls. "The only force is to get married and that's by Azure. You aren't forcing me to pick a time and I'll wait for when you want to get married. If it's tomorrow then fine, if it's a hundred years from now that's also fine." He told her. He wasn't forced and he didn't feel like he was forced into it. "You probably don't know the game it's pretty old." He answered her.

"Enh....so teach me. I DID learn a few things from the dragons, and while they're nowhere close to as old as you, I am sure a few things filtered down through the years..." Vera commented calmly. She loved card games and board games, and had a hard time not celebrating since among the dragons she had felt so stupid despite her own relatively high intellect. "Well, I guess that's one way to find out his exact feelings for me...bug him enough, I suppose..." Vera mused, stretching her arms out in front of her with another early-morning yawn, her back bending forward slightly. "You didn't answer my question of what we should do today though. It's Saturday, so presumably you have it off, yes?" she asked Baihu, turning to lean against the opposing wall so she could look at him.

"One game of Chinese chess when we have the time." He promised her. She was glad that she didn't over think things now. It really was mostly Baihu's choice to do things the way he planed them out at them moment. "As for today we can do anything and everything. Do you want to do do something?" He asked her.

"Chinese CHESS? I have heard and seen Chinese Checkers, but not Chinese CHESS....interesting. And no, I didn't have a specific plan in mind outside my normal time with my four-legged family. And I was thinking of talking with my roommate...maybe we can all spend the day together? I need to change and shower anyways..." Shrugging, Vera gave Baihu an ironic smile. "I don't get out much, so I don't really know what I would do with people..." Tilting her head to the side as something called in her mind, Vera flushed a bit. "Oh for goodness sakes...Greator..." she muttered, putting a hand to her forehead. "That wyvern... Well, he could probably carry you with some ease if you want to fly with us? He's complaining his wings need a stretch..." Vera suggested, looking over at Baihu with a curious look to her tilted head and raised eyebrows. "Granted, with air, you could probably fly yourself without wings, but...more fun on dragon back, I swear. Although he's technically a wyvern, but it's practically the same experience."

Baihu smiled. They had spent plenty of time so far together. "We could spent all day if you wanted together." He told the girl. He was willing to if she wanted to. He didn't have anything else to do. It wasn't like he had tones of friends here and he didn't want to bother Azure again. "Maybe one weekend you can meet the other guardians." He told her with a smiled. It was an idea for later.

Vera had been moving to his room to get her shoes on, and she put them on the floor to slip her feet in. Standing, her face was thoughtful as she placed the tips of her index fingers together and then in front of her lips. "That would be...interesting..." the half-elf decided, voice slow. Putting her hands behind her back to tap her shoes back all the way on, Vera looked up at Baihu with a calm expression and a shrug. "I don't know. Like I said, I don't really have all too many friends here, so it's been just Ryuu, Greator and I. And Greator wants to fly. I think he's getting chubby though he protests it's muscle AND scales, so if you ride his back that should give him some exercise." Grinning at Baihu, Vera looked absolutely mischievous. Though her eyes didn't quite twinkle and her smile wasn't all that large, the half-elf still managed a creditably wicked expression. "And then I can show off. Might as well invite Aurora along as well, and then we can all have lunch together and get that out of the way..." With a sharp nod, Vera looked decided. "But like I said, it's up to you. I don't want to try to steer you around. What do you normally do on your days off, and like to do in your spare time aside from cuddle?"

Baihu smiled at the girl. He was going to have to find some friends for her. "Maybe I can arrange for you to meet the Vice Principals daughter. She's a half elf and was in an arrange marriage. Maybe you can get some tips from her. There are also the Vega boys who had to pick a bride from a list. I hear the younger of them is also getting married soon." Baihu thought of a few people around her age that she could meet and talk to. He wanted her to get to know a few people even if they didn't become friends.

"That's not answering my questions..." Vera muttered to herself with a wryly amused twist to her lips. "I think I have met her, her name's...Lillian? Lilly...right? We didn't really talk much, but I'm pretty sure I know who you're talking about. Though I thought Lilly was full elf..." Frowning at the wall, Vera shrugged. "Either way, meet me at my apartment in three hours? It's number 410, if you don't know...." Eying him with another smile since she knew he would have placed the necklace there, or at least have known the number to send someone else to place it at her door. "And then maybe Aurora can come with to the park, I'm sure she would want a ride if nothing else..." Heading to his door, Vera looked in control of her situation but still managed to carry off an uncertain air, as she was just moving things around whether Baihu liked it or not...and she did NOT want him getting angry at her for whatever reason.
