Tripod was turning into goo with all the petting, he was certainly loving it.
"Oh...no, I just got out of Katerina, yesterday, I thought I would go exploring, you know? Well, lunch time came around and this tree seemed just fine..." Heal chuckled softly. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, well, I, uh..." Zinnia stalled, her hand pausing on Tripod's head. "I was... You know, just exploring, same as you," she finished lamely. She started petting the happy luxio again; she was just as happy as he was, to be making him look so pleased.
"Actually, I explore quite a lot," she started to brag. "I camp outside probably just as often as I sleep in a real bed. Otherwise I would never have met Zyk or Shadow, plus it's just a lot more fun! I know how to handle myself in the wild." She winked, and Shadow Mew rolled her eyes; Zinnia could only survive so well because she had her pokemon to look after her.

Heal nodded. "Well, I haven't explored much before coming to Kanto, I was studying to become a pokemon vet before my mother die, but well..." He shrugged. "I decided seeing the world would probably teach me more then sticking my nose into book..."

Zinnia looked up, stunned. "Oh! ... I'm sorry." What else could she say? Although Heal didn't seem too shaken up in mentioning his mother's death; it must have happened a long time ago. To think that Heal was completely on his own, with one parent dead and the other traveling! Heal didn't even have a team like Team Rocket to go to when he needed help. He only had his pokemon... Zinnia couldn't help but feel bad for him. She couldn't imagine living with no one but her pokemon for company.

Heal shook his head. "Don't worry about it, it happen over a year ago. I am alright." He smiled softly. "Besides, its not like I am all alone, I have my team and even thought he is almost always ten miles away, my father...." He laughed and shook his head. "Either way, a lot of people go alone on pokemon journeys anyways."

"Really? ... I guess they do," Zinnia said, thinking of the many pokemon trainers she had seen and battled. "My parents always said that pokemon are dangerous and smell bad, and that going on adventures with them was just insanity." She frowned. "Well, I sure showed them! My pokemon saved my life, and they've never hurt me at all." She pouted a bit.
"... Hey! Do you know when Hartless is coming back? Maybe we could stick together for a while. He'd sure be surprised to see me again! What do you think?" She grinned impishly, thinking nothing of her impulsive proposition.

Heal let out a laught. "Well you have to admit, sometimes they do smell bad...." He smiled, ruffling Tripod's furcoat, the feline not happy about his trainer insinuating he might stink. "But yeah, I don't really agree with your parents on that the whole pokemon thing. I think everyone should have at least one pokemon to keep them company."
The teenager rose an eyebrow at the sudden proposition. "Well...um...Father said he would be back in a week to teach me how to make the powder and salve out of the flowers. I guess we could, but are you sure you want to spent that much time around us?"

"Yeah!" Zinnia replied confidently. "I don't have anything better to do. Maybe I'll learn something, too. But I just really want to see the look on his face!" She giggled mischievously. Yes, she would make certain that he remembered her!
Shadow rolled her eyes behind Zinnia's back. The girl was being as rude as ever, thoughtlessly imposing her company on the poor Heal. She didn't voice her thoughts, however; there was something strangely appealing about Adriel that made her want to see him again, too. It was a ridiculous feeling that she tried to dismiss, but somehow he was able to attract all sorts of pokemon, and trouble.

Heal wasn't too sure how he felt about suddenly having a new companion. He was all for walking with another trainer if they were going in the same direction, but this was quiet different from that. He didn't know her too well and she wasn't heading anywhere, she just wanted to meet his father. "...." He wonder if this would be a norm, after all, his father had been here for quiet a while. "I suppose......it couldn't hurt, so long as you have your own supplies...."
Tripod rolled his eyes at his own trainer a little, he shouldn't had accepted without Arthmael's approval, the ninetails would go ballistic when he found out.

"Yay!" Zinnia shouted. "You don't have to worry about me! I can take care of myself. We'll have a lot of fun together! Come here, Zyk." The zubat abandoned his perch on her shoulder to dangle between her arms as she hugged him close to her chest, though she was gentle to make sure that she didn't hurt the delicate zubat. It was a sign of great loyalty and trust that he did not struggle during that uncomfortable position! But at last Zinnia let him clamber back up to her shoulder.
Shadow Mew had watched the display of affection, and was only relieved that Zinnia knew her better than to try such a stunt on her.

Heal smiled at the odd display of affection, going back to sitting under the tree's shade to get back to his lunch. "So what are you, Zinnia? Just a trainer...or...?" He chuckled as Tripod came closer and curled up again him, letting out a couple of happy electric sparks.

Zinnia sat down with a flop, jostling Zyk from his perch, but she caught him and set him down in her lap, where he reproachfully started grooming himself after being startled.
"Well I'm mostly a traveler," she explained, not wanting to lie to Heal, but knowing that she couldn't tell him the truth either. "I'm not a trainer in the sense that I go around catching pokemon. I'm happy having just my friends, Zyk and Shadow. I do like to battle, though! Maybe we can have a friendly match sometime." She grinned, confident that she would win if they did go at it. "I'm just a pokemon enthusiast. I love learning about all kinds of pokemon, and their abilities, and strategies for battles and stuff," she waved a hand carelessly. "I'm like a trainer pokemon watcher all rolled into one, but it's all as a casual thing," she concluded.

"Ah...that's interesting, but if you enjoy battling so much, why only have two pokemon? Why not have a more wide range? Like a ghost pokemon?" The teenager tilted his head slightly before taking a bite from his sandwich. "Like Gengar, I heard that they can be quiet powerful..." He rubbed Tripod's shoulders, getting a loud purrr, and not minding the static electricity pinching at his skin.

"Where do you find gengars?" Zinnia wondered aloud. Then she shook her head. "I don't catch pokemon," she told Heal firmly. "I wouldn't take a pokemon from the wild against their will. Zyk and Shadow are with me because they chose to be! I didn't even have pokeballs for them for a long time. That's why I only have two pokemon."
The young teenager crossed her arms firmly over her chest, and Zyk squeaked from his place in her lap, as if to confirm her statements.

"The howling forest or a haunted house, anywhere where they can scare people, really..." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- After a week with Zinnia, Heal's opinion of her was a little...askew? The girl didn't like when he criticize team rocket, that sent some red flags not only in his mind, but tripod and arthmael's. She also was a little more childish then he was used to, he usually spent a lot of time with older people, since his village had been small, so he was either five years older then someone or three years younger. To have someone his own age made him confuse, he didn't know how to interact with her. It didn't help that she was a girl either....The teenager was just glad that there were back in the Pilkiras plains after exploring some of the howling forest and even a little of the desert. This is where he was suppose to meet his father. He took out the small gas stove and started to make dinner, letting Arthmael, his shiny ninetails, hand him all the ingrediants as he asked for them. Arthmael had been furious when he came back when lunch was over. His trainer was a dolt for accepting to spend a week with a girl he did not know, that wanted to meet his father. The boy had little sense, however, being a pokemon, he just decided to keep his opinions to himself rather then drive the girl away. The last thing he wanted was to get into a battle with that mew she kept around.Tripod yawned as he watched Heal starting to make food. He hoped that some of that was for the pokemon too. Maybe Adriel would cook for the pokemon when he came. The feline pokemon rolled over and looked around the flat lands, peeking over the tall grass to try and see if there was any sight of white hair under the moonlight.Picasso could careless, he had had a lot of fun climbing all over Zinnia and annoying her zubat by licking his head every few minutes.
