((Gah, sorry. I'll make a post explaining what happened to Haru))

It was gone...

Completely, not simply like she was hiding it. No, Kay's reiatsu had completely disappeared. While he had been standing on top of the hollow it had come down and crashed on top of her. The monster had killed one of his comrades. He was trapped behind the claw between that and the monster's side, missed by the claw but unable to move from that spot. Or at least, that was what it would seem like to any who knew he was there. Reiatsu flaring a deep crimson, Haru's arms quickly pointed out from his sides, both blades in his hands. Reiatsu wrapping heavily around them, his arms seemed to disappear for a moment, as his blades sliced the base of the claw in front of him. It was the weakest point of the heavily armored appendage, since it needed to be able to move about and give the claw mobility. Was this in Haru's mind as he wildly attacked the creature? Far from it, in fact. It was the first thing in front of him, the only thing that could be hurt by the pure hatred he felt for this creature he was on. It deserved a fate worse than death, and he wanted so badly to give that to this creature.

His blades rang as they sliced the area in front of him, finally flying out of his hands as they hit against the hard exoskeleton once more, falling to the ground next to Haru as he simply balled his hands into fists and began hitting the body of the creature as hard as he could. Blood quickly came from his knuckles, forgetting to even put reiatsu on his hands to protect them. No, all his focus was on causing torment to the thing he was on, and his reiatsu seemed to follow this very thought. Wrapping like a tourniquet around both arms, Haru's reiatsu ignited Senda in both his arms, as he pummeled the area below him with as much force as he could muster. For some reason, every time he hit with a punch, a loud reverberation could be heard, like a concussion blast was being emitted from his hands on contact with the creature. True, the air around his arms had grown much denser and with contact on another surface, it quickly exploded and created a concussive force that added to the punches. Even with his hands bleeding, even if his arms broke, if he couldn't move them any longer. He would kick the creature to death. If he broke his legs, he would headbutt the creature to death. If he cracked his skull, he would bite the creature to death. Anything that would cause this thing pain was the only thought in his mind at that moment.

The torment had just begun.

When the world is yours....

╔══════════════╗
Angel smiled as he landed and jumped away from what was left of the Hollow. He nodded with approval at the teamwork everyone used to weaken it to its current state. He was even surprised to hear some cursing from his zanpaku-to. His smile grew as he held his sword out, "Back at full power!" Suddenly his eyes would go wide. Something was wrong. He looked around quickly seeing if anyone was hurt. He counted everyone as fine....except Kay. He searched for her reiatsu in the area to see if she got hit or something, but he found nothing. This made Angel freeze as he stared at the Hollow.

Angel growled as he put his hand over his blade, "Howl in the darkness, Kuro Gekkou." He said as his blade took on the shape of a red and black scythe. His reiatsu flared in anger as he glared at the Hollow. It did it. It killed her. He pulled the scythe back, "Shi no Ōgama!" He yelled as his reiatsu coated over the blade of the scythe and extended out as it became solid, sharp, and deadly. He looked over at Haru as he felt his reiatsu rise as well. Angel would then focus on the Hollow again and jump in to the air, do a flip, and come crashing down with the intent to slice the Hollow in half. Although he didnt put enough reiatsu in to the blade to do that if he hit the Hollow it would cause a great amount of damage with this slice.

Angel's help had turned a freefall into a controlled descent and made landing much easier for Sakura. The damage she took from it was minimal although her right knee was in pain. The young girl was a mess what with hair sticking out and half coated in some sort of goo she quickly shook off before it could do anymore damage. Most of her wounds came from the acidic substance she had been drenched in, but the shock of what had become of Kay had sent her straight into panic mode. She was hesitating despite the hollow's vulnerable position, but as as the sturdy exoskeleton all but evaporated, a timid buzzing resonated through her skull, scaring the wits out of her at first. She did not know what it was, but she soon came to realize that it was not particularly harmful or the result of some sort of hollow ability. In fact, it was quite soothing. Soon, the noise escalated into a furious drone as though demanding justice and vengeance and before she knew it, she was charging in, still shaking from the events that had occurred.

Sakura had no intentions of facing the huge claw her other teammates were busy dissecting so she went for the hollow's left side once more, but this time, she made sure to keep an eye for any incoming tongues or appendages. With a leap, she landed atop one of the hollow's broken legs and dug her blade into its body now that the exoskeleton was gone, putting her whole body's weight into the downward stabbing motion. She caught a glimpse of Haru's frantic punches and it was a startling sight. "Stop it. You are only harming yourself for nothing," she yelled at him over the sound of kido spells exploding into bright lights. The man seem to have lost all sense of self preservation and she could only think of ending this quickly before he lost himself further so she gripped her sword and twisted, hoping that she had hit a fatal spot such at its heart or brain. She was affected by the lost of a comrade too even if she had not known Kay at all and she could feel tears welling up in her eyes, but a part of Sakura opposed the mindless assault especially if it brought unneeded pain to both sides.

Kodate grunted as he watched the hollow crunch into itself as it landed, practically severing itself all over, laying there like some poor helpless animal. But Kodate and the rest of the group knew better. When it collapsed, Kodate stopped banging on his shield and began sprinting forward towards the vile beast. He didn't know how incapacitated it was, but it wouldn't be nearly as incapacitated until it was dead. He gripped his sword tight as he approached, and when he came up on it, he aimed his sword point at the thing's body, and a transparent layer of reishi rippled up his arm, and then concussed forward; his first combat use of Senda. In a blinding blur of speed, Kodate's free arm smacked against the pommel of his sword, sending the blade towards the hollow at ungodly speeds. He knew normal attacks wouldn't pierce its shell, so he tried this. Perhaps it would work, perhaps it wouldn't.

[Thanks, Pad, for taking care of my old character. To the rest of you, I'm sorry for killing Kay, but here's my new one, Daeonica (or Danny) to join in. She's no relation to Kay at all, but she's still a recent graduate, like most everyone here. Thanks for being good sports and playing along so well 3nodding ]

Daeonica had been dispatched to the small pond when reports of the enormous hollow that dwelt there had reached the Seireitei. Her strengths lay in defense and healing, so it was no surprise that she had not been sent in the initial attack. Still, she had been briefed before she'd set out, and from what she could tell, Eighth had grossly underestimated the strength of this hollow. Most of the shinigami on this mission were her year mates, fresh out of the academy. They weren't equipped to handle this level of opponent.

Once she'd received her orders, she made for the pond with all speed. She was only about a hundred yards away when she felt one of the spiritual pressures wink out. Her stomach twisted. She didn't recognize the signature, but that didn't make the loss any easier to bear. Danny cursed and put on a spurt of speed, anger souring in her gut. If she'd only been a bit faster, she might have prevented that death, though the pragmatic part of her said otherwise.

The rest of the shinigami seemed to take the death of their teammate even harder. Danny wasn't surprised, but her heart went out to them. It was easy to form strong bonds of camaraderie in battle, and she supposed that this instance was no different.

She tried to appraise the situation with a cool head, but it was hard-- too hard, really. She watched as one of the shinigami, a man with silver hair, battered at the thing with his fists. The others took other, less self-injurious -- though no less fevered -- approaches to hounding their crippled enemy.

As the silver-haired man raised his fist for another blow, Danny grabbed his wrist, halting his attack. Her hand tingled and burned from his reiatsu, but she held firm.

"Enough now." She told him, tone hard and clear, firm in a way that surprised even herself. Pity made her throat tight, and her voice, already a smoky alto, came low and soft. "Enough," she said again. "That won't bring her back,"

The hollow took it's claw and lifted it into the air in preparation to attack but before it could move it once more it came under attack. Being hit with massive forces from two directions from both Haru and Ai the claw of the hollow began to crack at the join until finally coming flying off from the combined force and going spinning off high into the air and crash landing back inside the lake itself with an almighty great 'sploshing' sound and a small sprinkle of water would've hit all the shinigami gathered.

The hollow's exoskeleton was becoming ravaged by the combined forces of the shinigami. First from Haru who had simply gone into a rage. Usually he would not be capable of punching through the armour of the enemy but this time he was smashing through it like it was no serious amount harder than paper. The hollow started to scream with every blow that hit it. Giving off small shakes each time it was hit in a futile attempt to escape or knock Haru from atop it's shell.

Angel meanwhile came in with a powerful attack. As he wedged his scythe straight through the exoskeleton. The hollow was not just hit with the scythe but the reiatsu around is gave it a powerful cutting edge that could not be matched by other tools. The weapon sank into the hollow doing heavy internal damage and once more the hollow shaked and roared. It was not like the first roar however which had been bestial and terrifying but more like a whimper of pain or the closest thing this hollow could give to a whimper.

Sakura's attempt to hit a vital spot was noble but currently impossible as the hollow's exoskeleton still provided enough resistance and the vital organs were deep enough that she wouldn't be able to hit them. In spite of this she provided something much more useful by telling her comrades to remember to remain calm. The hollow was as good as dead now and releasing anger on it and harming oneself was not productive and sometimes someone simply needed to say when to stop.

Meanwhile Kodate's senda pierced the hollow's front with explosive force. The attack smashed away the exoskeleton sending fragments flying everywhere and allowing for a clear blow on the beast and doing some damage to it. Serious damage it could never recover from. Finally the weakest point of the hollow had been revealed. A white mask lay on the front behind the exoskeleton. With only a small circular mouth and no eyes as it had no need for them. The hollow knew it had met it's end and the shinigami should do now too.

Now the slaying of the hollow could truly begin.

Kodate returned his sword to his side, huffing lightly as he looked at the handiwork of not only himself but the rest of his teammates. He wasted no more time, however, and let out a cry as he bashed his way into the hole he had created, shoving his short, gladius-like zanpaku-to into the hollow's mask. It wouldn't be hard to hit it, considering that it wasn't capable of moving. Kodate paid little attention to the people around him at this point, or his own body which ached painfully. All he cared about was killing this vile derision of life, before it killed any more of his allies.

He too at this point realized that they weren't truly meant to kill this hollow so much as gauge it's strength. While he wasn't sore about it, he was a little disappointed. And perhaps afterwards angry. But for now he was going to slay this hollow. Purify, sanctify, damn or whatever. He didn't care, as long as it disappeared.

Ai watched the claw separate from it's joint and land into the lake. He sighed just as the mighty splash happened. The light mist gently blanked all the Shinihami in the area and the moment he first droplet is water had made contact with Ai's tan skin he tilted his head back and cracked the tiniest of smiles from a small cranny on his pink lips, barely revealing his teeth.
"Huh?"

With a slow twist of his neck Ai watched as the Exoskeleton of the Hollow was assaulted by the combined forces of him and his comrades. His resolve was now stronger than before as he watched everyone, every single one of his comrades fight with so much heart, but even so...a whimper of any kind made the boy shudder a bit and every time the beast cried out Ai's left eye made the tiniest of twitches.
"I should go check on the others."

The tall, unseated Shinigami's voice was urgent, but oddly soothing. It was almost lyrical. A graceful flip of of hair made the sheen brilliant. The mist that rested atop his healthy, soft, and long black hair made strands just a tad bit wavy because his hair was naturally straight. He brought his Horin Rope back in to his finger, but did not release the spell. His fingers simply glowed orange as he held his Zanpakutou in his left hand and had it's point backwards.

Once he was near everyone else he bowed and rose while keeping his weight on the right side of his body with his right hand on his hips.
"Hey everyone."
Ai completely forget that his entire body was just a bid damp. Anyone that saw the boy would've noticed his girlish, but still lean figure. His face, neck, shoulders, and arms shined with a slight gloss from the water spray earlier and had small droplets of water resting on certain parts of his body while his curvy and thick bottom half had but a few and was still able to gleam. He then raised his right hand a bit and waved.
"My name is Reynos, but you guys can call me Ai."
He tilted his head and smiled kindly now fully revealing his pearly whites. He fluttered his long eyelashes and then turned again to see the Hollow Mask that was hiding inside the Exoskeleton the whole time.

"Hmm..."
He narrowed his eyes and now the golden brilliance of them seemed to shine shimmer again.
"How's about we purify this Hollow, huh?"
A coy grin now replaced his kind smile as he quickly jumped backwards and did at least 4 backhand springs away from the group and the enemy. His bow train and hair seemed to elegantly tumble with him movements. As he landed he switched the hand that Zanpakutou was held in. He tossed it into the palm of his right hand and started to lean forward. His left foot rose to be grabbed by his left hand near the boy's round bottom.
"Heh."

The Horin wrapped around the foot. Ai's back suddenly arched to an amazing bend as he pulled the his left foot up and over him! Ai was at a full split, and then some, as he knee bent as well. His Scorpion pose/ stretch was simply astounding. His left arm brought his hand down and created a rather odd and unique Horin bow! The orange rope that was still spiraling with yellow sparks was being used rather well in conjunction with the boy's graceful and elegant dance moves. He put his Zanpakutou to the bow and pulled back with all his might. His left arm was then aimed forward to keep his line of vision straight and point at his target. The human bow and arrow's Spiritual Pressure rose again as he spoke.

"Hado #4..."
A small glitter of energy appeared from the tip of the sword arrow. Ai held the charge and created a bright flurry of sparks that cloaked the projectile. He narrowed his eyes once again and anyone that turned to look at Ai could see that the Hollow was reflected against the golden hue of his eyes.
"Byakurai!!"
He let go of the sword and as soon as it was sent flying out it transformed into a large arrow of lightning! It crackled and screeched while it flew to it's intended target with deadly accuracy.
"Ok guys!! Let's do this!"
Ai's cheerful face nodded as he undid his scorpion and held out his hands to launch another spell if needed. A small breeze pushed his hair and ribbons to the side and he let out a small giggle.

He no longer saw any other color than red. No longer was Haru the quiet and mannerful boy he had been before the mission. No, the death of his comrade had made him snap. By all means, if Danny had tried to stop him any earlier, Haru would have most likely turned his attack on her in his fit of hatred. However, when he was grabbed, both his reiatsu and his energy were almost completely depleted, and with his arm stopped, Haru's head snapped to look at Danny, his eyes wide and as red as the blood covering his arms. Somewhat regaining himself, Haru's arms relaxed slightly, though the reiatsu unconsciously stayed on his arms. With the smell of burning flesh, Haru pulled his arm from Danny's grip, turning away form her. "I know...that it won't bring her back. But this....thing...it deserves everything I just gave it."

Bending over and grabbing both of his blades, Haru noticed both his hands were quite bloody, both from the Hollow and from his own punches causing his skin to rip and bleed. After putting both blades back into his left sleeve, Haru pulled out a thick roll of bandages he had obtained back when he had first learned Senda, covered in a slight healing paste that was used to stimulate the healing process. Rolling the bandages onto both of his hands, as well as onto his right arm once again, Haru looked quite damaged, even though it was only slight overexertion as well as cuts and burns from the reiatsu. Still, he would need to see a medic before long. At that moment however, he didn't care. The pain would go away and the wounds would heal. But the fact his team member had died would not change. "What's your name, girl." Haru's voice was slightly strained and tense. He didn't know how to react at that point, since it was the first time this had ever happened to him. HE did know one thing. It would be the last.

When the world is yours....

Angel jumped back yet again as he surveyed the current state of the Hollow. He grinned with satisfaction seeing how weak the Hollow was now. He growled as he looked at the others seeing them cripple the Hollow in certain spots. His gaze locked on to Kodate, though, when he saw him use the Senda to break apart the front of the Hollow. He noticed a small white part of the Hollow suddenly appear from under the broken exoskeleton. His smile grew as he finally found his target. He looked down at his scythe, "1 minute 37 seconds left." He whispered to himself. That's all the time he would need.

Angel took a deep breath to calm himself as he jumped over next to Kodate. He nodded to the man as he focused on the small mask. He took a couple steps back before he pulled his scythe back. He gripped it tighter as he filled it with even more reiatsu making the blade even longer and deadlier. He then put some reiatsu in to his feet and lunged at the Hollow. He yelled as he brought the blade up with the full intent to either cut the thing in half or cause it severe damage.

He had done it! He was a hero! The greatest one in the history of the whole entire world including from the time of dinosaurs! The young boy, who didn’t appear a day over nine, was humming quite happily to himself as he skipped about the streets of the Rukongai, the neck of a bottle of seemingly old and expensive brand-name wine that was just perfect for what he needed stuck out of the corner of a messenger bag he wore at his side. He wore the black kosode worn by most Shinigamis, yet the hakama was missing. There wasn’t a single one around made for kids! Even the kosode was too large for the young boy. He almost looked comical in the too-long sleeves and the bottom of the kosode that gathered around his feet. The zanpakuto, with a teal hilt wrapping, he had strapped across his back also looked too large for him. His brushed down the front of his black/dark navy blue hair. His spiritual pressure wasn’t anything to brag about, his general demeanor suggested he was a slightly above average and rather young graduate of the Shinigami Academy.

Something caught the boy’s attention. It was light, almost undetectable, but he could feel a series of spiritual pressures out yonder. Yet the most significant of them was the spiritual energy of a Hollow. Oh no! He should save the day again! Immediately he began to take off in that direction at full sprint and faceplanted when he tripped on his too long kosode. ”Aaaaaaaaaaaah!” He cried out loudly as he swiftly executed a half spin to bring his messenger bag to his chest and to fall onto his back. Flawless victory! He pulled it off and didn’t break anything this time! He bounced right back up and struck a pose, grinning triumphantly as he basked in the glory of success. The people around him were muttering and making remarks under their breath about the odd little child. His smile widened and he beamed at everyone around him. They recognized his deed! He was already the talk of an entire street! It wasn’t going to be long before his name, Satsu, was going to be passed on generation to generation. He could picture it, the tales of his glorious days, and he would be like Moses from that movie with the staff that was a snake but wasn’t!

And then his young hyperactive mind jumped back to what originally got him to carry out such an amazing acrobatic maneuver. Oh yeah, something was happening way down there, heading east from the Seireitei. ”Uhmm…. Aha!” Another genius idea popped into his mind. Of course that was the solution! He bent down his 3’9” frame and began to bundle up his kosode, finally revealing his sandaled feet. Running with handfuls of his robe, he headed off in the direction he sensed reiatsu, the scabbard of his zanpakuto constantly smacking his left kidney with every step and the messenger bag at his side that flopped about. It didn’t take too long for him to come across a large Hollow and a squad of Shinigami battling it.

”Whaaaaaaa, so cool!” Satsu found himself saying in awe as he looked around the battlefield. The Hollow looked rather well armored but bunches of those Shinigamis there were breaking down its defense through teamwork. Teamwork! There was even a Shinigami with a scythe. A scythe! A scythe wasn’t a sword, Satsu knew that. Could it be… a Shikai? A Shikai! He had never seen one before! One of the Shinigamis that was under the Hollow’s claw seemed to explode, the anger and single-minded determination on his reiatsu really easy to read. And it looked like he was beating that Hollow pretty well as its pitiful screams of pain filled the air. ”Awww…” Satsu mumbled to himself as he saw the others join in on the assault. The Hollow seemed to be going to be defeated at this point and Satsu wasn’t able to be the hero this time! Which was probably fortunate, all things considered.

So rather than pout and sulk, as was one option, Satsu just simply shrugged and decided to run about the battlefield. Of particular note was somebody who appeared, to his eyes, to have shot a bolt of lightning. Lightning! ”Whaaaaaaa.” Satsu repeated again in wonder. He wish he could bend his body and shoot lightning like that! ”That was so cool Mister! Do it again! Do it again!” He cheered on the person before his attention wandered yet again. The Hollow was pretty much no longer a threat anymore. Hey, maybe he was like a lucky charm? He liked that idea! He brought good luck to the Shinigami here and his very presence brings forth victory! Man though, too bad most of the people here looked so serious. Why so serious? Satsu didn’t know but having to be around serious people was like being a room full of Debbie Downers. So instead, he meandered about the battlefield, occasionally gawking at something or another. And what was that underneath the Hollow?

Danny watched as Haru bandaged himself, inwardly wincing at the slapdash work. He hadn't paused to clean his wounds, though she could smell the cool, sharp scent of some sort of ointment that must have coated the bandage. Of that, she approved. It also seemed as though he was an old hand at applying the bandages, but even from here she could see they had been wrapped too loosely. She supposed his hands might have been stiff from his wounds, making usually nimble fingers rather clumsy.

"Here," She said, bold as anything as she plucked the bandages from him before he could complete the wrapping. She was surprised at her own daring, considering her general shyness around strangers, but she was confident in her medical skills, and it gave her something to hide behind during a conversation.

"I know it hurts," She said, though whether she referred to his wounds or the loss of his comrade, she didn't clarify. Gently, she unwrapped the bandages and tucked them into her belt.

"My name's Daeonica, boy," She answered him, still bent over her work, though a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth at his manner of addressing her. "But you can call me Danny, if you like. And what can I call you?"

Opening a small pouch on her bandolier, she produced cotton swabs and a small bottle or antiseptic and proceeded to clean the blood away from his torn knuckles. She blew gently on the cuts, allowing the alcohol to evaporate before she reapplied the bandages more tightly and a bit more neatly than he had done.

The others seemed to have taken to the grisly work of purifying the hollow with gusto, which was a blessing. She guessed her silver-haired patient might have been in a bit of shock, and the sooner the hollow was gone, the better. Everybody's wounds seemed minor, so she could easily treat them in the field-- again, a blessing. It would have been terrible to lose a second shinigami to this monster.

It had not worked. Although the last head was destroyed, the exoskeleton had not gone with it immediately and Sakura was only met with resistance, but the situation was quickly fixed as a rain of debris fell scattered across the area. Whatever move had been used, it had pierced through the protective layer the Hollow had been relying on, finally revealing the location of its mask. The others did not waste a second to take advantage of the opening and Sakura saw no reason to jump into the fray so she merely leaped back down just in time to hear Ai's introduction. She had always been awkward in those moments so she decided to stay back and become one with the scenery. Her mind refocused on what the man had said. They were merely canon fodder to assess the hollow's strength? The thought troubled her deeply since good people did not put other's lives at risk for their own interest, yet sacrifices were considered noble deeds.

Her inner debate was put to a halt when she noticed a young boy that looked as though he was swimming in clothes way too big for him. A shinigami at such an age? She didn't think the hollow as a threat anymore, but she kept her sword up despite the fact that she was distracted by the kid who had joined them and another woman who had stopped Haru from hurting himself any further. Sakura would never say no to back-up though they had arrived quite late and what's this? The kid was approaching the hollow without any sign of fear. Oh, no. "Hey, watch out for its tongues!" With a hurried movement, she let go of her sword with her left arm and tugged at the back of the boy's kosode, not wanting him to meet the same end as Kay.

((Okay someone will be taking over from me from here to bring you to the party. So please don't leave yet.))

To describe exactly what had happened to the hollow's mask, it's face, it's weak point would have probably required a short book all on it's own. The result however could be much more easily described and was likely far more satisfying. All that remained in the place of the mask was a large cylindrical hole extending from the point where the mask was to the other end covered in burns and bleeding throughout. This was the perfect example of overkill. The hollow's spiritual body started coming loose too and then finally exploded revealing the now purified spirit. Giving them a surprised stare when it saw them all dressed in their nice Japanese style outfits.

"Bleeding heck. Who the bloody hell are you lot?" The bemused spirit said as it looked around. "And where the heck am I?" It followed up as it observed it's surroundings. "This is all a dream." The now clearly naked man tried to convince himself as he walked away off into the distance muttering something about having turned into a crab and now being in Japan. Someone would probably need to go and help him out but that wasn't really a job for the shinigami. It was probably something better suited to the denizens of the rukongai.

No. In fact. The shinigami would have a more pressing matter on their hands. Something far more deadly than any single hollow.
