"We may have to visit the polar bears at the zoo. I don't believe they usually have them at aquariums. But we can check," Sethrian said. "It has actually be years since I visited an aquarium or a zoo." He paused next to a tank with a very hyper red octopus. "I haven't gone since I was a child. Before...erm...before my Fae heritage began to assert itself and it became more difficult to do such things."

"I suppose after a while, such things seemed...trivial." He gave Renivere a slight smile. "But I am glad I came here today with you." Though it was more because it was with her than because it was at the aquarium.

"Shall we find the penguins then?"

Didn't they used to give maps out at places like this? Where was their map?

"Now that you are here, I will ensure we go on many trips and see many things together. To help make up for lost time," Sethrian told her.

Just then, Renivere abruptly slipped. She managed to right herself just as he grabbed her arm to keep her from falling. Seth frowned slightly as he looked around. They were in an area with fewer people and there was distinctive trail of water leading from, or going toward, the same room they were heading for. He wondered if they should alert one of the workers to the wet floor. He was assuming they didn't know from the lack of signs.

"Are you alright?" he asked, helping her to straighten.
((Blaaaaaaaaargh! Trying to catch up. ;^; Something needs to have escaped! They should follow the water trail!))

"Perhaps we should simply notify the workers?" Sethrian asked with little hope Renivere would consent. He sighed. "Very well. let's follow the trail and hope it is not something dangerous that has escaped."

He looked both directions. "Does the trail go that way...or that way?" he asked. The water wasn't exactly in the shape of proper foot prints so it was a little difficult to tell which way the person (or creature) had been moving. Sethrian had to admit that his tracker skills were somewhat sub par. He didn't know whether or not he should hope Renivere's were better. If they weren't, perhaps the two of them would never happen upon whatever had escaped. Which, if it was something dangerous, would be for the best.

"I cannot deny that logic," Sethrian said. "Then, let's go this way." He started in the same direction they were going, hoping it would lead to an empty tank somewhere. The room they were heading into was eerily dark, the only light coming from the various tanks, which housed things like jellyfish and sea dragons--all very normal looking creatures. The water seemed to lead across the room, and not to one of the tanks.

He glanced at Renivere. "Are we certain we wish to continue to follow?

((I know! I've been trying to think of something funny it could be, but can't come up with anything. Reni definitely needs to save Sethrian somehow. Whatever it is, should be reptillian. And fall in love with him! emotion_donotwant XD ))

"Very well," Sethrian said. He had to admit that Renivere was brave. Many girls would be squealing in fear and wanting to turn back, but she was determined to press ahead. He smiled slightly as she moved closer to him. They crept along quietly, going deeper into the room--why were these places always dark? So frustrating. Even if he could sense nearby heat sources, all the aquariums and lit tanks were putting off heat signatures and confusing him.

He didn't really notice anything was amiss until he felt something drip on him from above. Glancing up curiously, he wondered if maybe there was a leak somewhere and that's what was causing the odd water trail. But...no.

Alas.

Crouching above him, over the exit was a...thing. Sethrian didn't quite catch the shape but it was drooling rather severely (which was disgusting, to say the least.) It was also disgusting when the creature made an oddly flirtatious cooing sound a split second before snapping out its long tongue and wrapping it around him. Before he realized what was happening, he was being lifted off his feet and dragged along the piping near the ceiling by what appeared to be a female lizard...monster.

He sighed. Of course. Somehow, he should have seen this coming.

Once inside the tank, Sethrian was thrown into a soggy corner, next to some ferns. It was actually pleasantly warm inside. It was really a pity he had a lizard...thing...rubbing against him, making disturbing crooning noises. He had the distinct feeling this was some kind of mating ritual. And he definitely wanted no part of it. He struggled to get away from her...it...and started to slog his way to the window where he could see Renivere.

"Reni----guh!" He was yanked back and thrown into the ferns. He had the sneaking suspicion that Lizard Lady was becoming annoyed by his lack of interest.

"It's alright," Sethrian said, hugging her tightly. "I don't believe we could have expected it was something that would abduct one of us." He was seriously beginning to doubt the safety of this place. He stood carefully. "We should leave before it comes back." He gave her a wry smile. "That was, I must admit, a rather impressive throw. I believe I shall seriously endeavor never to get on your bad side."

He began to carefully make his way to the broken window. "Thank you for saving me." He was already trying to decide where they could go for their next date that would exclude the possibility of being abducted by pheremone crazed lizards. (He was going to assume that's what was wrong with her because anything else was just too disturbing to contemplate.

"Renivere, I have one small request. Could we...never mention this to anyone?"
