Kiria passed Room 5 which she noticed had a new inhabitant. She thought about smiling as she walked by the room, but she didn't think she'd be noticed anyway.
"Well, isn't this little place becoming popular."
Reaching her destination, she closed her door quietly as to not disturb anyone else and layed on her bed. She shut her eyes and began to drift off into a deep sleep.

James was walking down the hall when someone crashed into him from the front, causing him to lose his balance and fall over. Angry, he got up and brushed himself off, but stopped when he saw a young girl with blond hair and green eyes, blushing and trying to pick up her things. He titled his head to the side. This one at least looked slightly normal. Curious again, he said quietly, "It's fine. You look a little rushed. You okay?" He smirked and leaned up against the wall, watching her. His eyes roamed her body as he saw her hands go to her legs. He saw some scars and his electric blue eyes met hers with a look of pity.

Vibryo It took her a while but Vee finally managed to get all of her things put away and her room situated how she wanted…mostly. All the bright cheeriness of the room had been dulled down a bit with her personal touches. She had put black pillow cases on the pillows and covered up the comforter on the bed with a black blanket. It was a think blanket but did well when it came to keeping her warm. She had even put up a temporary sheer, black canopy around the bed. She had lined the walls with purple rope lights and had purple, blue and green lava lamps on every desk the room had. Not to mention the neon sculptures of a bat, cat and a witch. After plugging everything in she turned off the lights and smiled at the scene. “Now if I could only paint the walls,” she stated out loud before turning the main light back on and turning the lamps and what not off. “Guess it will have to do for now.” She made her way over to the file sitting on her bed and looked through the papers, finding a map of the grounds. She looked over it before making her way out the room and locking the door behind her. “What kind of place doesn’t have room service,” she complained as she got her position and started in search of the dining hall.

Airylynn nodded and smiled lightly, completely ignoring his pity. Pity was something she learned to resent. It was like her dad saying he was sorry after cutting her deeper then he meant to, but not for actually cutting her. Pointless, and just what people felt they had to do. That's all what pity was to her. "Not as bad as what I'm used to. Oh, I'm Airylynn." She held out her hand covered in a ribbon glove to him, trying to be a polite good girl. 'Wow... He has gorgeous eyes.' The thought ran through her head quickly, making her blush brighter and smile wider. Somewhere in her purse, punk rock music started chiming, indicating her mother was calling. Airylynn just ignored it and stood there unchanged by the blaring tune of electric guitar and heavy bass.

James grinned when she introduced herself. She seemed pretty outgoing. His eyes met hers full on as he shook her hand, lingering a bit longer than necessary, and said, "I'm James. Pleasure." He took his hand back and was wondering just what kind of girl Airylynn was when her phone started ringing a good tune of rock. Hearing this, he noticed her ignoring it and chuckled under his breath. He raised an eyebrow and said, "You going to get that or what?"

Rita reached her estate and was greeted by one of the housekeepers. When her husband wasn't there, they were usually the ones who kept her company.
"Mrs. Hartford, how was your day?" one of the youngest maids asked. "It was just fine. I was able to aquire more students." "That's great." "It is."
Rita threw her coat over the back of the chair she took a seat in. She turned on the 62" tv and immediately turned to the shopping channel. She figured since her husband was gone she might as well have a little fun.~~~~~ Kiria's eyes flashed open. She never could sleep during the day; she didn't understand why she even tried. She sat up in her bed and realized that the sun was now setting and it would soon be night. A purple journal peeked out from under the pillow and she grabbed it along with a black pen from her desk. She quickly wrote down the meaningless visions she had seen while trying to sleep.
Drinking fountain in hall 3 is broken Do not try the fish tonight Tuna for lunch tomorrow-blech
Stashing the journal back under her bed, Kiria stood and walked to the entrance of the building. She walked outside and sat on the cold ground. While toying with a blade of grass she watched as stars began to dot the darkening sky.

Airylynn just grinned and winked playfully. "I'm going to say or what on that one." As she she spoke, the volume died and a small beep rang out, indicating a voice mail. "So, what's fun around here? It seems pretty blah so far." She stuck out her tongue at blah, then blushed. 'D@mmit, I really need to shut up...' Airylynn picked the last cd up and stuffed it into her purse as she thought this.

*Ding* Announcement: Dinner is served. *Ding* ~~~~~ Kiria stood and brushed the shredded grass off of her skirt. She walked back into the school and made her way to the dining hall. There were already students clamoring in trying to get first dibs at the good stuff. Kiria smiled to herself as she watched a few of the students grab a few pieces of fish each.
She simply grabbed a bowl of mixed fruit, a salad, and french onion soup. Her salad was going to be her main course as it was the biggest bowl out of the ones she held on her tray. She then got a cup of raspberry tea and sat at a table by herself. It was funny, she felt like an outcast at a school specifically made for people like her.

Vibryo After wandering around and glancing at the map a few times, Vee finally found her way to the dining hall. She wasn’t too impressed with it as she folded the map and stuffed it into one of the tight pockets on the back of her pants. It wasn’t bad for a school but, she was used to better. Obviously going to take some adjusting to, she thought as she made her way over to where the food was being served. She walked down the line and turned her nose up at everything before getting the attention of one of the chefs. “Is this all you have? No filet mignon? Rack of lamb? Chicken Chasseur? Chicken and Cheddar Souffle at least?” she politely questioned with a little hope in her voice that she would at least have a little taste of something that felt like home. The chef seemed to think it over for a moment before telling her to go take a seat while he prepared a dish for her. She thanked him and gave him a grateful smile before turning around to face the room. It was a bit more crowded than she had noticed at first. Scanning the room, she saw a girl sitting by herself and decided to make her way over since her table seemed to be the emptiest she could find. “Mind if I sit with you?” she asked as she stood beside the table and looked down at the girls tray, taking note of the big salad, fruit cup and French onion soup.

Kiria looked up to see a girl standing over her.
"Not at all; I'd rather not sit by myself. Though I am used to it."
She dug into the fruit first and then noticed that the girl she was now sitting with had nothing at the moment.
"No food? I wouldn't get the fish if I were you. Oh, I'm Kiria by the by."
Kiria held out her hand hoping teenagers still shook hands when introducing themselves.

Vibryo Vee gave a light smile and took a seat across from the girl when she wasn‘t turned away and told to go find another place to sit. She hadn’t really planned on disturbing her though she welcomed the small talk the girl was willing to make. Everything was going well, until she stuck her hand out for a shake. Vee hesitated out of habit, the muscles in her arm jerking as if they wanted to move though not doing so as some force kept it in place. Not wanting to be rude, she concentrated as she slowly lift her hand up and brought it out to meet Kirias’ hand. She only allowed the tips of her fingers to meet with the other girls flesh as if she were shaking hands like some snooty woman who only allowed her hand to touch as much as needed as if everyone else had some awful germ. Though she knew that it wasn’t Kiria who had the awful germs. “Nice to meet you,” she said with a genuine smile as she took her hand back and placed it in her lap with the other, “My name is Vibryo. Though people call me Vee for short. I wasn’t particularly fond of what was already out so the chef told me to just sit and wait while he made me a dish.” That caused her to look over in the direction of the other chefs though she didn’t seemed hurried. She knew a good meal took time to make. “What’s wrong with the fish?” she asked out of curiosity, a little worry playing on the expression as well. “Is it not fresh or something?”

Kiria wasn't too disheartened when it looked like Vee hadn't wanted to shake her hand. Maybe she was just one of those people who didn't like the gesture. She smiled when Vee asked about the fish.
"Oh no, it's fresh, just not done. Some of the students will be missing class because of it. I think the second batch should be better though. Then again, I couldn't really quite tell. But it might be. I'd just stay away from it altogether for now."
Kiria finally shut up after realizing that she'd been rambling again. She'd tried to kick this habit of talking, mostly to herself, but after a while, she just learned to deal with it. It was just a part of her; something she did. While toying with the salad (she hated eating in front of others who weren't eating), Kiria glanced up at Vee.
"So, what makes you special? I hope you don't take offense to the harsh way I just asked."

James smiled when she winked at him and had a sense that she was flirting with him...and he didn't mind at all. He hadn't had this much fun in..forever. He ignored the beep coming from the phone now, figuring if she wasn't worried he shouldn't be either. He laughed when she asked what was fun. It was a low sound, and he was surprised it wasn't hoarse from his smoking problems. Instead it sounded strong and amused. "Fun? In this place? Please." He rolled his eyes, showing entertainment in them. He noticed her blushing after she said that and he titled his head, curious about her thoughts. He dove in, loving the advantage of using his powers. He read her mind, which showed that she was embarrassed. He heard the last few lines which read when they flashed through his own mind:
Wow...he has gorgeous eyes.
D@mmit, I really need to shut up...
He chuckled quietly at the second one but was interested in the first one. Trying not to put his powers on display, he made sure to make eye contact with her. His mind was pulled together and was in focus. He shut his thoughts down, just in case she was a mind reader also, so she couldn't read them if she tried. His mind was blank at the moment as he stared her down with a small, seductive smile. He heard a ding, and he knew it meant dinner was ready even before they announced it. Another ding sounded, and he sighed.
He looked up and around the hallway, and started making his way down it to the dining hall. He knew his way easily, it had been four years since he had come here. Pausing as if remembering something, he glanced back at her and grinned, asking, "Hey, you want to join me? It's time to eat dinner I guess, and I hate eating alone." That a complete lie, he knew no one here and he didn't care if he was alone at a table or not.

Vibryo A gasped escaped from Vee to accompany the horrified look on her face when she heard that the fish was underdone. Her expression clearly said that she thought that was a terrible offense. “How could they serve underdone fish. You told them and they still have it out for people to consume?” she questioned as she gave a quick glance in the direction of the students still getting their meal before putting her eyes back on Kiria. “Horrible! Just horrible of them to not see that themselves and to ignore the voice of a student.” She crossed her arms over her chest, a very disapproving look on her face, before deciding that she would take action.
Just as she started to stand she was quickly disheartened by the question she had been asked and slumped in her seat a little. The fire in her grey eyes instantly went cold as she looked down at her lap in embarrassment. “Oh, no. That wasn’t harsh at all,” she said in a very soft voice, “Well…you see…I‘m not special…” she mumbled as she wrung her fingers together. She looked up at Kiria and leaned in so that she could whisper and still be heard. “I infect people.” The one word was barely spoken as a light pink tint appeared on her cheeks and she sat back down in her seat. She was sure others here had abilities that would make them useful in some way while she was just a bother. It was why her parents had always asked her to stay in her room when they had dinner parties. Couldn’t risk someone going home sick. That would just be bad for business. “I’m sorry for touching you!” she suddenly blurted a little louder than intended. Her fingers twirled around her hair nervously as she got weird glances from other people before they went back to eating. “I just didn’t want to come off as rude but, I promise I didn’t get anything on you.” Even though she was capable of it, the last thing she wanted was for everyone to accuse her for every viral or bacterial infection that went around. It was the main reason she wanted to speak up about the fish. She wouldn’t get sick from eating it though she wanted the schools staff to know that it wasn’t her that had made people ill.
The more she thought about it, the more hot her face seemed to feel. Stop being a paranoid child, she thought as she mentally scorned herself, you have done anything wrong. After a deep breath, she forced a smile on her face as she brought her eyes to look at Kiria. “What is your ability? If you don’t mind me asking.” Her paranoia slowly eased its way to the back of her mind as she became more interested in Kiria. She really hadn’t known that others had certain extra abilities as she didn’t spend much time out of her room socializing. It was part of what made her actually want to come to the school; to learn about others and what they were capable of.

Kiria smiled half heartedly.
"I didn't tell them about the fish because, well it was already done. I mean, I would tell them, but I don't think it'd make too much of a difference. It was probably just the first batch but I...I just don't know."
Kiria drew on a napkin; it was always something she'd done when she was nervous. She faintly heard Vee whisper her specialty and watched as she sat back down. Kiria thought that'd be an awesome power to have, but she could tell Vee didn't really feel the same way. When she apologized, Kiria just smiled.
"That's fine; you're fine. I don't mind, besides, if I were to get sick, I would've seen something about it by now. Oh, yes. That's my ability; I can see the future...well glimpses of it. I.e the fish. I'm not like our headmaster for example." Kiria gave a slight chuckle at the last remark. "I..have another. I am able to control other by implanting thoughts in their minds. I feel that I shouldn't use that one though; people are meant to make their own decisions...I do practice however."
Kiria was fiercely drawing now. Even though she did practice, it was never enough to actually learn to control the power. It was one of the reasons she usually never made eye contact with others.
