No. No she wouldn't. An odd crunching, crackling sound was becoming audible, coming from all sides of the hapless little group. As it became louder, bright spots of color were visible hopping across the snow towards them. The crackly sound of hopping was soon joined by snarls and snaps as the horde closed in on its prey ...  100/100Edel, Roch, and Danny are surrounded by a swarm of carnivorous giftboxes. They look hungry. Well, as much as one can tell, given that they don't really have faces. But they're snapping and drooling and launching themselves energetically at the group. OOC The giftboxes aren't much of a threat individually, but as a swarm, they could well do some serious damage. The students will have to take them out or go down in a pile of slavering, brightly-wrapped jaws. Roll 1d8 & 1d20. The d8 represents how much damage the swarm has been able to inflict on your student this round. The d20 is for damage to the boxes. Check this chart to get results for the d20. 1: Ow! That box just clamped onto one of your body parts. You shake it off, but not before it's gnawed on you for a while. (Disregard your d8 roll; take 8 damage.) 2-5: Not bad. Your attack took out a few boxes. (3 boxes killed) 5-7: They're ganging up on you! But you smack them away, though they get a few good nips in. (Take 4 damage; 8 boxes killed) 8-10: The boxes are jumping around like fleas. With ribbons on them. You can't seem to get a bead on any of them. (No boxes killed) 11-17: While you were trying to smack down the boxes in front of you, another one snuck up from behind. Little b*****d. Ow. (Take 1 damage; 3 boxes killed) 18-19: You're really cutting a good swath through the things. You leave a gruesome trail of ripped paper and shredded ribbon in your wake. (10 boxes killed) 20: Unholy crap! You are a mighty destroyer of all things boxlike. (15 boxes killed) If you have an offensive or healing FEAR attack, you may use that in place of your d20 roll, if you still have a FEAR use left for this battle. [b]HP:[/b]

Edel may have spotted an odd swarm of....something headed towards them from a distance. She squinted her eyes to get a clearer picture.... to see -
Oh dear.
Using the snowy field to her advantage, the frost demon swept up a small localised snow storm (1 meter) which helped her to...avert most of the damage.
More importantly, she had to tell the others.
“WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!”

Danny had been slowly wiggling her way off Roch's back anyways, when something hit her backside. "OW." She proclaimed loud, for all to hear. Turning around, she said, "Why would yo-"
As she turned around, the image of hundreds of boxes coming towards her made her jump right out of Roch's arms. Suddenly a box was yanking at her long ponytail hair. She forcefully kicked the thing, but to no avail.
Even in all the chaos, she managed to scream, "EDEL THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT."

Edel would really have liked to smack Danny at this point, but she managed some self control and channeled all the rage into hitting the boxes.
"AS YOU CAN SEE, THEY'RE ONTO ME TOO!" she yelled back.
Why was she doing this again?

"Jackdammit, what the hell?" Roch demanded, looking at all the boxes and summoning his guitar to attack. He managed to take out three of them with a swipe of his guitar, but one of the little bastards bit him.
Gifts sucked.

Danny started kicking and punching boxes off of her, but it wasn't really working well. Honestly, she could have been entirely more effective if she used her fire, but here's the kicker: Danny hadn't quite keyed in that she was a FREAKING FIRE DEMON yet. She'd get it later.
For now, she just kicked at boxes, while they bit at her.

Danny was starting to get annoyed at all these boxes. Why were there so many?! It didn't help that her leg kinda hurt from the diva before. Another one of the boxes scraped across her arms. Owww. Danny wondered if this is what it was like to get bitten by Demi. Note to self: don't piss Demi off.
With a smirk on her face, Danny was at least glad that some of the boxes were getting killed by her. It seemed Edel was ... struggling, just a little ...

Unfortunately for the ghoul, her previous flailing around had left her open to more attacks by the snapping giftboxes. Edel was overwhelmed by them, using her arms to shield herself from the incoming attacks. The frost demon didn't escape unscathed - there were a few bite marks here and there.
More importantly, she couldn't do a thing about reducing the number of attackers
