The man had gotten so close to him, and if Maximus closed that distance something would happen and it wouldn't be very holy. He promised himself he would never again reopen the wounds from his past, not while he was still living he wouldn't. He got down on his knees in front of the hysterical man and grabbed both of his hands in his own. They were cold, and slightly clammy, but overall they were soft. Maximus had realized it right away after touching them but then he realized he wasn't suppose to realize them. He squeezed them gently and looked into Basil's eyes with all the seriousness of the world. "What is it that you have to make sure of?" he said in a steady, leveled and calm voice.

Basil looked up at Maxwell and swallowed hard, realizing how close they were. "I need to make sure wether I'm going to Hell or not." he said, feeling sick. He was afraid to find out the answer but he had to know, he wouldn't be able to handle not knowing. "Please..just tell me. I need to know.." he said, sounding defeated.

Only God can tell us that and I'm not him," he said quietly as he squeezed the man's hands. He felt so heart broken for the man. But he knew, somewhere in his heart, that everything would be okay. He knew that no matter what happened Basil would make it through and he'd be happy after it all. He'd be a better man.

What am I supposed to do?" he asked, squeezing Maxwell's hands in response. He didn't understand how the priest could be so nice to him after he did and said those things to him. But I guess that's just part of a priests job, to forgive people. He looked back at Maximus and smiled weakly. "I'm sorry. For before." he said, hoping he wouldn't have to explain what exactly he was sorry about. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

Look, I'll do whatever it is you need help with to make sure you get through this. If it was your time to go already God would have taken you without letting you have time to think it over," he said to the other man trying to give him a confident smile. He had no idea what it felt like to have cancer. He had heard about it and read about it but it didn't involve his life so he didn't know about it. But he could slightly connect it to the feeling of being raped. A feeling like everything was over, like it was the end of the world. And suddenly before him there was a black pit that was to swallow him up and all he could do was cry. That's what it he assumed it felt like. The feeling of being alone, scared, and definitely like there was no one to save you from the pain you were going through. Before he knew it he was hugging Basil tightly, which had pushed him backwards on the bed. He didn't consciously think about why he was hugging him, Maximus just hugged him and didn't let go. He felt if he let go then maybe his fears and darkness would come back to him and he couldn't live with that. Not again, not when he had finally found the light once again.

Get Laid." ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀ Basil stiffened a little when Maximus hugged him and he was layed bak on the bed. The hug was so warm and tight and comforting though, that he couldn't break it and he wrapped his arms around the man just as tightly. The words he had said echoed through his head over and over and he smiled. First of all he hadn't expected Maximus to forgive him, which he probably should've because he knew the man was a priest. Second of all he was extremely relieved, and greatful that he Maximus had said he would help him get through this. That meant he wouldn't have to go at it alone, and he felt a lot better. And third of all what he had said about it not being his time made a lot of since. If God had intended him to not have a choice wether to live or not from the cancer he would've already killed him. Letting him live almost felt like a second chance, and he was extremely greatful. He hugged Maximus tighter and buried his face in the crook of the mans neck.

He'd have to thank Maximus for being so nice to him. And surely thoughts like this shouldn't have been going through his head when a few seconds ago he was a broken mess, but Basil was a porn star, and most of his thoughts revolved around touching another person physically. So he leaned forward and pressed his lips against Maximus's gently, and briefly for as soon as there lips touched he pulled himself back. He shook his head, frowing. What the hell was he doing? This man had just said he would help him and he was going to ruin it by being horny. "Im sorry, I don't think I shouldve.." he stopped, hoping Maximus wasn't mad.

He laughed nervously trying to shrug it off. "Oh it's okay. It's totally fine," he said as he kept laughing trying to hide his embarrassment.

It had been so very long since he had felt that sweet taste and he thought that going back to it would ruin him. Though, what harm could one little kiss do? He kissed Basil back, softly and gently. Not even knowing it he found himself gnawing at his bottom lip and still taking tiny breaths as he kissed him slow and deep. Somewhere in the back of his head he realized he was turning back into Max Z Hoetel.

He couldn't help but smile a little while they kissed. He felt like he had accomplished something. The fact that he had broken the priest out of his hiding shell felt like a victory to him, and he was ready to take full advantage of it. He placed one hand on the small of Maximus's back and pushed the priest towards him a little more. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

He let the kiss deepen a little more before he suddenly pulled back. But there wasn't a look of shock on his face, instead there was a look of experience and hunger on his face. He suddenly looked like the once famous prostitute and old host he once was. All traces of the priest he had become and the holy light that surrounded vanished into thin air.
