ya. i really don't think dat Britney Spears would do well. (Madonna, no. Cristina Agulera No. Any other Pop diva, i don't tink so.)

so. Britney Spears was on Taiko Drum Master and i sure no one does that song. They're probably busy with The Namko originals. Don't post about the taiko game post about the ddr. well.. thanks 4 ur support. smile

You're not the first person to think of this, go to DDRFreak and you'll see at least 3 topics related to this appearing every day. Konami is aware of what we want, but they cater their mixes to different audiences. They're doing a pretty good job with it so far considering how well they've been selling.

In other words, you're wasting your time. The chances of your Email reaching someone important is close to 0, nothing will happen from this.

welllllllll....... a wat the heck. i'll try. but... even though they cater 2 other audiences, they aren't catering 2 us!!!! i mean they probably cater 2 people who r either important or r rich and can pay them 2 make them a 1 of a kind copy. they need 2 stop giving important people the good stuff and us the bad. they need 2 cater 2 us 2. and u know what. even if this takes 2 years 4 it 2 reach someone important, so be it. at least it will make it. then maybe, just maybe, thay can do something bout it. and maybe a new generation of DDRers will arise and they will be able 2 enjoy what we have achieved. so. despite what u say, i'm going 2 keep going. and maybe this post will spark konami's minds.
also... why don't i see a greatest hits of ddr out in any of the stores. why don't i hear about it in any game magazines. plus....

oh ya and just 2 tell u, watch what u post because i'm sending a copy of all these posts 2 Konami aswell. so i think that this might do it.

also... u r out #ed. look at the stats. 10 yes and 4 no's.

Please Give me your vote.. I really need your support!!!! PLEASE!!!!! many people have put faith in this idea. don't lose that faith due 2 someone elses post. GIVE ME YOUR SUPPORT!!!!!

Don't let the dream fade.......

Isn't this what most american mixes are, a complilation os songs which palyers have been known to select on a more frequent basis? Besides, Konami is always listening to the fans about what songs they want and what improvements are going to be made. Also, Konami must dealing with licensing songs for legal issues which takes lots of time. This is one of the reasons some songs never make it to a home mix because the licenses haven't been worked out. There is also a matter of variety, while its nice to see all your favorites on a mix, there needs to be space for new songs to shine which is why some songs are left out (besides holding them so that you buy the next mix). You've got a good idea but this is just to clear things up a bit. Go and email Konami, they'll love you idea and will work towards making a mix based around every DDR player's wishes but probably won't be called All Stars.

Besides, haven't you ever heard of DDR Best Hits?

ummmm.... welllll I know it won't be called All stars but that was the 1st thing that poped into my fragile little mind so thats what i put. and no i haven't heard of ddr Best hits. and also.. u said that they have 2 make room 4 new songs 2 shine. yea but the only ddr game konami is making right now is 4 the Xbox. not ps2. i don't think that konami will make any new songs anytime soon. so this would be our chance 2 get them 2 make an ultimate mix.

Well thanks 4 ur support ^_^

Not true about the songs not being made or souly Xbox. Konami has pretty good staff of musicians (TaQ, Taka, Slake, good-cool, etc). While they primarily work on the Beatmania series their songs do get ported over into the DDR series. The only person I can't speak for at the moment is DDR's big cheese Naoki Maeda. The last I heard of him was that he's currently taking a brake to manage BeForU. But Konami wouldn't let such a hit series die down and would probably leave it up to other producers to continue the series.

As for the Xbox, bare in mind that this is the american divison of Konami who heads this project. While I'm not sure what the american division was thinking, I've got a strong hunch that they choose the Xbox for its power over the other two consoles (PS2 and Gamecube) as well as their online dominance. As for the European division, they're working on the next Euromix with the newly upgraded arcade hardware. And as for the Japan division, I think its the Dancing with Mario project that they're working on at the moment. Need to double check.

o_O burning heat, spin the disc, twilight zone, afronova.......

its an awesome idea, and i would love to see it done, but in reality, a list of songs from a small group on a gaia forum isnt going to convince a multi-million dollar video game company to produce a new game to distribute across noth america......

Ah, hell, let's go all out! There's no way in hell this is going to do anything anyway, so we might as well just make some really absurd requests!

-Every song that has been in every version of DDR, including licenses that have only appeared in Europe and America

-Every song from every Bemani game

-Various rap and hip hop songs

-Songs from Pump It Up and In The Groove

-Songs that are just background noises of cities and other physical places.

Naoki cares, its just that he's got something going just as good for him as the DDR series. He'll be back eventually, he loves what he does for a living with Konami. As for all the ludicrus suggestions, meh, we never know really. They're nice ideas and they can pretty much come true with Stepmania so I don't see how they can be all that difficult in the first place.
