Ruby nodded absently as her arm went to wrap around Peyo, feeling her boy dig his face into her side.
"Yes, I'm alright. Thank you. Where did you come from?" The store owner asked, and Vitahli quickly explained her simple shopping trip being interrupted with all of the strange creatures they had thus far encountered.
"Yes, yes its all very strange, isn't it? I wonder who must be behind this," Ruby mused to herself.
"Who could send out robots and undead to stalk us during the holiday season?" Vitahli posed to the other two.
"Yeah! And why would they want to stop the fun of Christmas? They're horrible---just like when Rina made me wear her dress," Peyo spat, moving over to the corpse and stomping his foot rather violently onto its back. A wet squelching sound met all their ears, and Ruby reached out to yank Peyo back.
"Peyo, that thing is crawling with disease. Vitahli? Thank you for staying with him."
"Not a problem Ruby. In fact, he's been really helpful with the zombies, haven't you buddy?" Vitahli directed towards Peyo as she turned to face him. Peyo nodded, and mimed smashing Piyo into the palm of his opposite fist.
"We should probably get out of here," Vitahli commented. Ruby nodded and began to search around for a suitable weapon. Vitahli did the same. Once locating a mop, she walked back towards Peyo as Ruby came back with a sizable mallet in one hand. Vitahli blinked at that and had to ask:
"Sure you can wield that thing in close combat?"
She was rewarded with a bemused stare from Ruby. "Honey, where do you think I got these arms? GaiaTeen mag? Puh-lease," she drawled. "We should sneak out the back of the building and try and find others. I have a feeling we're dealing with a corporate holiday hater," Ruby directed and the three took off.
