Jude waved to Otto, "Yep. Don't let the door hit ya on the a** on the way out," he said after the retreating Hunter. After a few moments of looking around he laid eyes upon the next victim in the Cafeteria. He got up to his feet and started toward them with purpose.
He was going to show them. He was going to get this done.
"Excuse me. Would you mind answering a few questions?"

Deryk had just been eating his lunch quietly on his own at the time, not really paying much attention to anything else. Then again, he had just arrived not long ago so he wasn't really aware anything was going on. Soon after sitting though, a trainee he hadn't really seen around before had approached asking for some answers more or less.
"Some questions? Sure thing. What do you need?" he asked while tilting his head slightly.

This target seemed slightly more willing to answer questions from him as he settled into the seat near by, "Alright. What is your name?"
It was hopefully going to be just as straight forward as the trainee before this one.

There was a small pause before the name was given. Possibly for dramatic effect.
"Bond. Deryk Bond," he said with a smug grin.

Either his sense of humor was dead or he just didn't catch on at this moment he simply wrote the name down.
"Alright then, how old are you, Mister 007?" Maybe he did catch on and he just had a good pokerface.

For a moment, Deryk stared at the other guy as he just wrote down the name. He didn't really get a reaction out of that, but then he referred to him as 007. So.. he didn't even know any more.
"24. And uh.. exactly what is the name of the one interviewing me? Hadn't really seen you around before and all," he replied. He thought the other trainee would have traded names at first, but that hadn't been the case.

He scribbled down the age and peered up at Deryk for a long moment, "I'm Jude."
Then he stared down at the questionnaire for a long moment and gave a deep long suffering sigh, "What do you look for in a guy or girl?"
Again he didn't judge or assume.

"Nice to meet you Jude-- wait what?"
Why was he being asked that of all things? Deryk stared at the other guy wondering if that was a serious question but apparently it was.
"Oh. Um. Well. Would be good if she was smart and was into technology. Should know how to use computers properly and all. Knowing how to cook would be nice too. As well as being enthusiastic," he replied after giving a bit of thought.
"Er... what are these questions for?"

He wrote this information down and gave a small sigh, "Information gathering for holiday matchmaking thing...I don't know. I got roped into doing this for busy work or something."
Jude wasn't exactly the type to flitter about making matches.
"Okay then. Are you single Mister Double-O-Seven?" He asked, "This is the last question then I'll leave you alone to eat or whatever."

Jude definitely did not seem to be the type to do this sort of thing. Though, the fact that this was for some sort of holiday matchmaking thing was... strange. Who was behind this, Deryk had to wonder. ".. Oh ok. And, I am," he nodded. Even if he had a girlfriend prior to coming to the island, she wouldn't have mattered any longer. And he didn't feel like he had really been around long enough to pick anyone up, not that he was looking anyway.

More scribbling of notes down.
"Alright, Double-O. Thanks for your help. I'd stick around and chat but I need to run off and get this done," he said as he got up. "As you were," Jude gave a small salute and then left Deryk right where he sat with no other fanfare or ceremony. He just wanted to get this done that was all.
Jude gazed around trying to find his next target.

Jude's next target would come in the form of a young woman who was presently sneaking towards him. He would suddenly feel someone's fingers in his hair as, instead of greeting him like any normal person would, Eva slid up behind him and started braiding his hair. She hummed happily for a few seconds before she finally decided to speak up.
"Hello, Jude!"

Instead of freaking out and jerking away he froze for the first few seconds as fingertips went through his hair and started braiding it. Jerking away would only hurt his scalp and ever since the one spar with Before he wasn't in a rush to feel that particular twinge of pain again. When the voice came it was then that he relaxed at least a little bit, "Hi Eva. Would you mind answering some questions?"
...Bribery.
"I'll let you keep playing with my hair if you do." It was a small sacrifice. A sacrifice he secretly enjoyed. Though since tended to get very relaxed it wasn't a very well kept secret.

"Questions?"
Eva raised her brows, pausing mid-braid to peer around Jude's shoulder and at his face. What was this about questions? Was it for some kind of assignments, perhaps? Well, she supposed that she could lend him a hand. She had been planning to get some food first, but--
--................did he just say that he'd let her continue playing with his hair? Hook, line, and sinker.
"Ask away!" The girl chirped cheerfully, grinning as she went back to her task. Jude had such nice hair.

Oh sure she might have helped out with or without the bribery but it wasn't as interesting plus it felt nice. She was gentle with his hair and so he didn't honestly mind. He pointed to a nearby table, "Let's sit over there."
He adjusted the clipboard and moved toward the table trusting her to follow after him just to keep a hold of that hair and then Jude sat down so that it was just easier on them both.
Jude got the pen in hand, "Alright...Um..well I guess I can skip the first question..." He wrote her name in the spot provided.
"How old are you?" That made things way easier.
