*Gaunt smiled and casted the line back out, after putting another wax worm on the hook, which resembled a large maggot. The small panfish, the sunfish and bluegill, loved the stuff, and he was soon bringing in another one.*
*Tsuche didn't notice what Gaunt was doing. There was a subtle change in him lately. Perhaps he was beginning to accept the other children, slowly but surely. He also notices Spiro's actions, though also reading Spiro's face, he knew he shouldn't help. But he wanted to make friends, maybe make a new pack. So he took a step foreward, ready to help Spiro steady himself so he could make it to the shore*

"Hallo!" Keiko called. She and Acrasia were walking slowly up to the docks. Keiko carried the two fishing rods, and a can of bait. Acrasia was hauling a large tin bucket filled with water.
They approached, and Keiko set down the fishing rods, putting the bait down, and sliding it over carefully so that it wouldn't get knocked in. 'Sia set down the bucket, and reached for the smaller rod. "Keik. Will you please set it up for me?"
"Sure," replied Keiko cheerfully, taking the rod, and setting up the bait. Acrasia took it, and thanked her silently, sitting down on the dock, legs swinging in the air. She cast the line, carefully, and sat to wait.

Freize nodded towards Arafel, continuing to watch the boy as he made his way towards the shore..
Spiro swayed slightly, but quickly regained his balance, hoping no one noticed.. He continued his determined shuffle towards the shore, nearly falling once on the way.. He was so close... He could do it...

*Tsuche turned toward Acrasia and smiled abit.. he thought she had sort of a wild look to her, with all the buckles and spikes and stuff on her. She obviously not like the others.*
*Gaunt hauled in a rather large bass, holding it up* Hey, kids! Look at what you can catch! Just keep trying! *He tried to encourage them*

Studying her rod as the line trembled a bit, Acrasia glanced over at Tsuche, and gave him a quick half-smile, as she trailed her fishing line a little, and started as it gave a quick jerk. "KEIKO!" She shrieked, yanking at the line as it pulled harder.

Arafel frowned, the place was getting quite busy and everyone was jsut catching fish left and right. Oh well.. as long as everyone was having fun, she could still wait. Afterall thsi allways happend, she allways had the worst luck catching fish, but it was still fun.
Colette froend at the man who was catchign the fish, and no letting any go. one fish was more than enough food wasn't it? "mister.. i.. don't want to catch one if your going to kill it." she bit her lip, looking sad for the two large fish he had caught.. poor things.

Keiko runs over, but by the time she gets there, Acrasia has reeled in the line, to reveal a relatively small flopping bass. Smirking triumphantly, she carefully unhooks it, and drops it in the bucket, where it swims around frantically.
"Don't worry." She whispers to it. "I'll let you out later."

Alida had been watching intently, since she didn't have a fishing pole of her own. Rime hadn't had one since she was a kid, and had no interest in fishing. Which was fine by Alida. She was sort of siding with Colete.
I don't really want to eat something I've looked in the eye... But she understood that this was just part of how things worked, and she wanted to try and explain to Colete.
She knew that Tsuche had been having problems reading, and she figured that Colete might not know how, so she walked over to Arafel and tugged on her sleeve a bit, showing her what she wrote.
Can Colete read? If not, will you read her this, from me?
There was a line skipped, and then, I don't like to hurt the fish either, but the fish had to eat, too, and it ate the bugs and worms. But they had to eat, too, and they eat the things that decay in the soil, like animals that have died, and people who are buried. So, we eat the fish, but the fish eats the worm, and the worm eats us. That sounds weird, but it's all true. Does that help any?" She looked up at Arafel with earnest eyes.
Rime on the other hand, was eyeing the fish and worm buckets with a bit of distaste, and keeping well away from them. Pet fish were one thing, but fish on the order of a foot and a half long were another thing entirely. She glanced over at Gaunt and the others, hoping they didn't notice her attitude. She wanted Alida to be having fun, after all. Which is when she noticed that Alida wasn't fishing, didn't even seem to be trying.
Maybe she doesn't have any interest in it, either... but I should give her more time. If nothing else, she's getting to know the others better.

Arafel smiled at Alida reading over what she had written, she was very smart for her age.. then again they all were. She gave a nod and called Colette over pointing at what alida wrote and telling her everything, alittle bit hushed so as not to disturb the others.
Colette nodded taking it all in and smiled brightly "Yes" she nodded again agreeign with the other girl, it made alot more sense now, She allways liked it when peple explained things to her.. she never did get anythign right off the bat. She held out her hand to the new girl "I'm Colette, its nice to meet you" she offered a smile "and and thankyou. I'm sorry if i bothered you.."she frowend hopeing she didn't trouble them too much

Aqua hurriedly zips over to where the others are, splashing down on a rock and casting out her hook. She constantly reels it in, looking closely at the hook each time impatiently. Come ON, fishies, I wanna catch something...! She casts out her line again, hoping to catch something this time while twitching impatiently, since she loves fishing but she cant catch anything.
Lily slowly walks over to where her daughter is casting her line over and over again, kneeling down and balancing on her toes. "Y'know, Aqua, you wont catch any fish like that hun..." She takes Aqua's wet hands in hers, and very slowly reels the line in. "You need to reel it in slowly, if you do it fast a fish'll never bite it, because it doesnt look like real bait..."
Aqua makes a face at her mom, but does as she reccomends, and succeeds in getting a sharp tug on her line. "Mom!! The line, a fish got it!"

He had made it. Spiro let out a sigh, staggering back and then finally leading the fish to shore.. He shuffled forward hesitantly, staring down towards it.. The corners of his lips twitched upwards for a mere second.. He had done it. He kneeled over before Freize could head on over, lifting the fish.. He eyed it thoughtfully, as if expecting it say something..
Freize stood with a smile, wedging his pole into one of the cracks before heading over.. He patted the top of the boy's head, just leaning over to unhook the fish's jaw carefully and lifted the small fishing pole.. It was a decent sized fish, he had decided.. He couldn't get a close enough look at it to see what exactly it was..
He looked up towards Freize curiously, lips pursing... And then he looked back to the fish, and then glanced towards Colette a moment.. He sighed and headed towards the dock silently, standing over the edge and staring out at the water... And then down to the fish... And then he dropped it in.
Freize had followed along behind him with a smile, "Great catch."
"It... Was... Just a fish." And then after he got his pole back, he slumped back into a sit and sent his line out into the water once more.

*Gaunt shook his head and shrugged* I wanted to invite the whole appartment complex to a fish fry.. an excuse to get everyone together and have fun. *He looked down and appeared saddened* I'm sorry..
*Tsuche looked at Gaunt and huffed* He cares too much about what others think about him. *He shrugs and sat down with the other children, ready to help out however he can. Being a wild creature, he tended to be a lot stronger*

Still studying her one fish, Acrasia dugs into her pocket for a small pad of paper, and a pencil. Tongue between her teeth, eyes locked on the fish, she glances between the paper and the bucket as she sketches a lifelike image of the fish. Flipping the notebook shut, and sliding paper and pencil into her pocket, she carefully pulls up the bucket, and upends it into the lake.
