Hel was getting caught up in thoughts again, terrible, terrible move, especially considering she was still in a battle.
She was left completely open to Shun’s final strike, and the ghoul grimaced deeply as the grim reaper finished off the battle with the criss cross strike, feeling her fear shield break under the strike. It was over. Candle Jack. She lost. Hel dismissed her weapon, slouching forward a bit to rest her hands on her knees as she fought to catch her breath and remain conscious. Jack damn it. All that other training had worn her down…and then she had entered this battle with too much on her mind.
After taking that moment, Hel straightened herself back out, resting her hands on her waist now as she looked to Shun. “I do like the way you approach most things, friend.” She replied, “I appreciate that sentiment. Good or bad, it is just how it is…heh.”

And then it was over. Dismissing his daggers, he let out a breath while he watched Hel try and recover from that last blow. Hopefully she wouldn't end up passing out on him. As she did that, he placed a hand at his side for the moment. It seemed like his bleeding had more or less stopped.. for now. The wound likely wasn't too bad but he'd have to check it when he got back to his room.
Shun wasn't quite standing up straight from the various injuries sustained, but he felt he could walk back fine on his own. Perhaps, a bit slowly though.
Nodding quietly at her words, he thought over what he had said for the moment. He did resent his father quite a bit, but despite this, he had no desire for things to have been different. It was pointless to wish for such things.
"Well then, I suppose it's good that there are those who like me as I am," he added after the pause, "Can you make it back to your room on your own?"

Hel blinked, taking another moment to process Shun’s words again. They seemed to hit home, and the reaper grinned a bit. “…I do like you for as you are.” She announced, and gave a short laugh. “Mostly certain I can, but you should join me anyways, eh?” They were hopefully going back to the reaper dorms after all.
The reaper started to make the trek back to the dorms, tagging along with the grim. “…We’re going to battle again.”

"Not a bad idea," Shun nodded. Though he didn't say it, he supposed it would be good to make sure Hel was able to make it back alright on her own. She seemed fine, but perhaps that would change one they started walking. They had a couple flights of stairs to climb as well.
"Of course. We had a good battle today, but that doesn't mean we should leave it at that. We will have a rematch in the future for sure," he said quietly before placing his hands into his pockets. He winced lightly at the movement, but then went on after her to head back to the dorms.

Hel fell into step with the grim reaper, her hands still resting on her waist as if keeping them there helped to keep her upright.
She looked over at Shun as he quietly spoke, and she couldn’t help but smile widely. Usually losing irritated her rather badly, but…losing to Shun wasn’t as bad as it usually was. She couldn’t place her finger on it exactly as to why it was like that, but it probably helped that Shun didn’t gloat over his win, and that he still treated her like an equal battle wise. “Agreed!” She replied rather cheerfully, despite just barely hanging onto consciousness. “I greatly look forward to it.”
