"Aw...that's mean. I'm sure she would love just to be with her brother." Lex smiled and nodded as she gave Lute a cold stare.
Yume nodded in agreement with Lex and stared up at Lute. "Be grateful you have her."

Alida wasn't looking up, so she was surprised when someone came up to her and started talking. She looked up quickly with slightly red rimmed eyes, and when she saw it was one of the non-kinder students, she swallowed hard.
They can't all be like that... I'll just try again. She gave the girl a small but genuine smile.
The girl sat down in a desk next to her, and said, with no preamble, "I'm Halley. Andrew says you're sick, but you don't look sick to me. Is it true?"
Alida blinked, a bit taken aback, but pulled out her notebook and wrote, My name is Alida. No, I'm not sick. But I don't know what I did to make him hate me.
The girl looked curiously at the writing, and then laughed, loudly, causing Alida to flinch slightly. "Oh, that! Andrew is scared of everything. His parents are afraid of germs, too. He's gonna be one of those weird people who takes a lot of pills when he gets big, because he'll think he's sick all the time."
Okay. So you're not afraid of me?
"Me, afraid? Hah!" She turned around and looked over at Lex. "Hey, Lex! This girl wants to know if I'm afraid of her! Tell her something that'll show her I'm not afraid of anything, she'll believe you more. From me it'll sound like bragging." The girl grinned confidently, and raised her chin, almost as if she were daring someone to try and frighten her.
Alida blinked, and her gaze shifted between Lex and Halley, herself slightly afraid of the blunt, outspoken, almost overbearing girl before her. She was sitting as far back in her chair as she could without seeming like she was trying to get away.

Lute gave cute sweatmark peace sign at that backing some. "You don't have to live with her Lexi-chan. . ." He said in a cute nervious way as the two of them seemed suddenly against him. "I don't mean to be mean. . . I just don't want alittle sister. . . I was fine by myself."

"You don't mean that, do you?" Lex asked to him before hearing her name and waving over in the direction of another girl. "Scared? YOU? Now that is two things that don't go together."
Yume payed no mind to the other girl as she watched Lute. "Maybe it was a good thing. You have been alone too long. Maybe your mom wanted to help you?"

Lute seemed to get slightly nervioused at Yume's words. "It's just. .. . just seems to be happening so fast. . . I'm not used to others. . . don't trust others. Dont' trust myself around others. . . I don't know what to expect." Hearing Lex yell to someone he slowly looked over noticing Alida tilting her head. "I know her. . . I think. . . I remeber her from. . . somewhere."

Yume looked over towards where Lute was looking and saw the girl too. "She does look...familiar. I know her." Yume closed her eyes and tried to picture her and where they met.
Lex seemed into what the other girl was saying and paid no minded to Lute or Yume.
"It's Alida!" Yume cried out a moment later

Lute looked to Yume at that chuckleing at her sudden out burst. "Maybe. . . you should say hi." He would but wasn't the type to. . . just too shy. I'll stay here and watch in case you need me."

Yume shook her head. "I would but I don't really know her. I met her once and all and she is very nice but I just don't know." She looked up at Lute and frowned. "Not like me?"

Lute glances to Yume abit worried before given her a small hug. "Of course I like you. . . your one of my first friends ever. . . Maybe we can say hi to her together?"

Yume smiled and laughed as she looked up at Lute. "I was talking about Alida but that is wonderful to know." Yume turned and took Lute's hand and lead him towards Alida.

Lute gave a cute embressed look at that thinking mistakes like that are why he should stick to the shadows. Walking over with Yume to say hi to the girl he saw before. . . managing a small shy wave once there. . . standing firmly but wasn't one to just talk.

Alida looked at the other group in relief as they came over. It wasn't that she didn't like Halley, it was just that she had never met someone so.... forward and loud before. Minagi was loud, but she wasn't the type to put herself forward so much, at least to Alida's mind.
She waved in response to Lute, and smiled at Yume, ducking her head because she didn't know what to do next and blushing rather rosily across her cheekbones.
"Hah! You shouldn't be so nervous! If you're nervous, you just gotta stand up and pretend you're not. My daddy's a businessman, and that's what he always says." She almost seemed about to quiet down for a second, then slammed a fist into her other palm, saying, "Oh! I know. Lex, tell her about the time I squished the big spider. You know, the really huge one with the big legs! Andrew was cowering on top of a desk!" and she dissolved into giggles for a few seconds, remembered Andrew's plight.
It doesn't seem fair to laugh at him for that... but it is kind of funny... Alida covered her mouth, but she was smiling beneath it, and she looked over at Lute and Yume to see what they were making of the girl and her story.

Yume waved at Alida before hearing the girl. She was loud and seemed very brave. She wasn't sure what this 'spider' thing was but she guessed it to be bad. "Hello Alida...and...uh...hi!" She laughed listening to the girl talk.
Lex nodded towards Halley and burst into laughter. "That was great. I mean, he was on the desk crying and you just came up and slamed your fist into it." She smiled and nodded towards Halley.
"Aw...poor spider..." Yume faked a cry but looked up towards Lute and blinked. "Spider? What is it?" She whispered.

"An eight legged insect. . . . well not insect but like one." Lute would answer keeping a serious look. He didn't think making fun of a kid who cried was right at all. "It was probably killing off more annoying insects in here." Lute gave a slight shrug before looking back towards the shadows. . .

[clor=darkblue]"Hi! What's your name? You have kitty ears. I like cats, but dogs are my favorite. I have a big Chow at home." Halley had interrupted her story to say hello to Yume, but after making some rather bold comments, she got distracted again by Lute's seeming disapproval of her squishing the spider.
"Nuh uh! It was really big, and had a yellow body, and tried to climb on his arm. He yelled so loud and scared the teacher, so she made a big screeching noise with the chalk on the board." Halley had turned to Lute and had continued her tale with her full attention on him, gesturing to indicate the size of the spider and the noise on the chalk board.
Alida sighed a sigh of relief. Halley wasn't so bad, but she took a lot of energy out of a person. She looked over at Lex, and wrote to her, making sure only she saw it, Is she always like this? So loud? and almost... bossy?
