It was like a game. Roch grinned and snatched the ball out of the air, only to trip over his own feet and faceplant on the ground. He held the ball up in the air, spat out some dirt, and said proudly, "Got it!"

Quite frankly, Shun was impressed that Roch had managed to catch it on the first try. Granted... he could have done a better job of landing.
"Not bad. Looks like you're getting the hang of this. Toss it back. We'll do this a few more times."

He tossed the ball back, feeling like a dog playing fetch. But--but it was fun! There was this serious HIGH from doing the shadow step, one that was addictive. One minute you're here, the next you're there--
"Hey, hey, can we go up on roofs with this? Or trees?" he asked.

Catching the ball, Shun nodded in response to Roch.
"Yes. Your range isn't limited to the ground. Just take care should you decide to shadow step upwards. Missing your mark while trying to get onto a roof will cause for a rather painful landing most likely," he warned. Just to show that he wasn't lying about this, he glanced around and spotted the nearest tree. Within a moment, he was crouching up in its branches.

"Sweeeeet," Roch said, looking quite enthused over this. "This is gonna be AWESOME," he said. "But I think I'll hold off on trying that one just now," he added quickly.
He glanced at his watch, then looked down at his pants, making a face as he saw the blood that was soaking through his pantleg. "Jack, I pulled it open again. Uh... I gotta go bandage this up, can we do this again sometime?"

Shun dropped down from the tree, landing pretty lightly. It was.. probably better that Roch didn't attempt to jump into a tree just yet. Getting caught up in those branches would likely be painful.
When he mentioned something about pulling something open, he looked over at his leg, noticing the blood seep through. Well damn.
"Again? Had that injury for long I take it?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. He didn't recall Roch moving around with a limp at first.
"But very well. You made some good progress today anyway. Come by whenever you're ready for more practice. In the meantime, you could probably do the ball catching exercise on your own."

"A couple of days," Roch admitted. "I thought I had it bandaged better, but guess not. Jove bites hard, man, but then getting shot there by Mot? Yeah," he said. "It blows."
He sighed, running a hand over his face. "Thanks for the help, though. I appreciate it. And yeah, the ball will come in handy."

The ghost pup? Really? Then again, looks could be deceiving. It was never good to underestimate anyone.
"You're welcome. I just suggest doing it out in the open. Unless you're confident you won't be shadow stepping into walls or any other.. obstacles," Shun said before turning towards the dorm. He needed to finish tuning his guitar now.
