Saerenna listened to Freyr's story, but when he announced that she was the one who did it, she looked a bit shocked. She thought she would remember making someone like this.... And if she didn't, then how did he know that she was a scientist? She couldn't have been the scientist, could she? "Uh... excuse me?" She asked, perplexed, "I didn't really make you, did I? And I'm NOT mad. Nor am I a scientist anymore." She protested to him, a hand on her hip. With a sigh and a look at Millia when she was addressed, she replied, "I have no idea. How are you doing, anyway?" she added, nodding at Millia's injured arm.

Millia tilted her head to the left now, while listening to Saerenna's and Freyr's conversation --Even though she doesn't know what's going on. Millia took a deep breath and then answered Saerenna's question.
"Quite fine actually..." She took a look at her injured arm, then to the ground, looking at her feet. "...the remedy worked, but I guess its only temporary." Looking back up with a smile. "I'm gonna go investigate the area with Reno-senpai, you'll join us later right?"
Dropping her arm off Saerenna's shoulder and then slipping both her hands in her pockets. Moving from side to side, looking back and forth between Saerenna and Freyr. "Well, I guess you two need to straighten things out first, so I'll just leave you two to do your thing."
She turned around, taking one hand out of her pocket, she gave an almost lazy wave at her before turning around fully. She walked up pass Reno, ringing him by the neck with her uninjured arm.
"Come on Senpai, we got work to do!" Dragging him along with her to the investigation site.

Noting that his humor had fallen on deaf ears Freyr sobered quickly coughing to cover the last few snickers. "I'm sorry, I was just joking, and not very well aparently." He appologized quickly, "No you didn't make me, I was being stupid." He corrected, but a smile still played about his lips. Watching Millia leave he scratched behind one ear sheepishly. "So you WERE a scientist once eh? That was just a guess on my part..." His head cocked sideways a little as he considered her, "You must have worked with hojo." He decided with a nod. Then his head half-turned the other way as though he were listening to something. "Ah... well Madame Saerenna, ... Pardon me if I rescue a damsel in distress?" He grinned rougishly. He stood up and reaching one hand over his shoulder drew a long barrel rifle from a sheath across his human back. Supporting it lightly with his other hand he aimed at some distant target past Saerenna and to the left. before she could protest The blast rang out, deafening all present for a few seconds and leaving a residual ringing noise in their ears. Just as quickly he re-sheathed the weapon. "Alright that's taken care of." He smiled at the Turk, "Well if your alright, is there anything else you might want my help with?"
Up on the ridge where the Tainted clone Sabel had been hiding, a white blaze suddenly streaked past her, to collide and blow a hole in the Custom sweeper. The machine tottered for a few moments before it collapsed, the rank scent of burning oils and scorched metal rose slowly with the thick black smoke that issued from the 18 inch hole in it's mid-section.

Saerenna gave Millia a nod as she left and then sighed at Freyr, listening to him. She was completely startled when he pulled out the gun and shot right past her. Turning around to see what he had been shooting at, she could hardly see anything. "What was THAT?" she asked. Realizing that she had unconciously gripped her staff, she relaxed her hold a bit. "About the scientist thing...is it really that obvious? I knew I was somewhat of a nerd, but does it really show that I used to be Hojo's assistant?" She asked, brushing back her hair self conciously. The blue highlights in it weren't purposeful actually. It was a side effect of something she had developed to make her hair grow faster. Unfortunately,all it did was leave her with blue streaks, that continued to grow as if it were her natural hair color. "Well... I do have a question, actually. Have you seen anything odd around here that could account for these strange animals and plants nearby?" She asked Freyr.

Sabel stared at the collapsed Custom Sweeper. "We are saved..." She muttered to her chocobo in disbeleif. She looked back and saw that the TUrks and their monster friend were still standing around chatting. "Lets go a bit faster this time Kuroi." She suggested, not wanting to be caught by another monster.
"Ah, Freyr Brandr Svaldifari... Ex-SOLDIER, retired as of 25 years ago. Put on latrine duty 57 times in his first year, and assigned permanent latrine duty thereafter due to incessant practical jokes." Spoke a soft, inflectionless tone. Ruo Tenshi stepped from the recently landed helicopter. Hers had been a rather simple assignment to record the Turks' findings and catalogue them for the president. It was rather dull, but there were only so many calls for her to infilitrate rebel organizations any more, it seemed that the populous had mistakenly assumed Shinra beat. What fools were they. Having known about the fleeing Descendant due to the helicopter's equipment she added to Freyr in an after tone. "And are you sure you didn't hit that supposed damsel in distress?"

Freyr couldn't help but chuckle as Ruo stepped from the helicopter detailing his illustrious past. "Those were the days!" He admitted fondly, "They never did figure out that I could dig a hole in one tenth the time of the rest of them." He grinned at Saerenna, "No it really isn't that obvious, I just know what to look for... And I've been keeping tabs on the Shinra Employee register over the years." His gaze turned to Ruo, "And you,... Ruo Tenshi, according to casual records you are a 'financial advisor' but we both know your real job is espionage and information relocation. AKA informant." He chuckled again, then gazed into the distance where he had aimed his gun previously, "Hmmm,... You think I hit her? Wasn't that the point?" He inquired rougishly, glancing at Saerenna again he sobered. "I haven't located the source of this Maisma yet, no. But I'll be sure to keep an eye out.... by the way, you mentioned something about a healing spell? I have bandages and such on me, but I'd have to wash it first... and you never know with animal bites." then he limped forward slightly, lifting the injured paw for closer inspection. It was difficult to see the wound past the blood which was drying and matting his fur across his torsoe, both his blood and the wolf's stained the golden spotted fur an ugly red-brown.

"O-oi! Watch it, zotou!" He shouted as he grabbed onto Millia's arm and pulled away. "I can get myself there perfectly fine..." Walking alongside, he glanced at her as he tilted his head to the side. "What exactly are we going to investigate again? Where the monsters are coming from?" He placed a hand on his chin. "Ne, do you think it has anything to do with Shin-Ra this time around?" He asked her as he slipped both hands into his pockets and shrugged. His eyes shifted to his colleague's wound again as he wondered whether or not she was truly 'OK'...Who knew what kind of problems you could run into by coming into contact with any of the creatures in this area. Infact, the monsters almost seemed like they were infected with something... From what he had observed, their behavior clearly wasnt 'normal'...

Millia giggled lightly as Reno escaped from her. Pouting in a cute way, she slipped both her hands in her pockets as they made their way to the investigation site.
"Monsters...?" She rolled her eyes. "No, thats not it. We're trying to find the cause of why plants are becoming sentient and why animals are acting strangely." She answered his question, scanning the area slowly.
To Reno's other question, Millia remained quiet for a while. "I'm not sure on that one..." Lifting her head slightly, looking far in the distance. "...But it could be possible. They could have some sort of viral infection."
Millia bit her lower lip, thinking deeply on what she just said. Could this viral infection be caused by Jenova cells? or could the be caused by Mako? Too many things are running through the young Turks' mind, she just hope they find the cause of this quick...
Coming back to reality, she noticed that Reno was looking at her wounded arm. She smirked, "Gee, I didn't know you cared for me..." She said in a sarcastic tone.

Saerenna, having forgotten that he was wounded for a moment, nodded quickly and said, "Of course!" She stepped closer to Freyr and cast a healing spell on it. "It won't make it 'all better' but it should at least keep the wound closed and stop any infection." '...hopefully.' She added silently. Who knew with these rabid creatures? It was all a person could do, to hope that there wasn't some nasty side effect to wounds from these creatures. Like mako poisoning, or something bad like that. She was a bit over concious of her every move with Ruo there, watching. So maybe she was only supposed to report their findings, but who knew what else she reported back to the heads about what Turks did on assignments. She once again glanced up to the place where Freyr had shot, but still didn't notice anything. Maybe her eyesight was getting bad. "There really was someone up there?" she asked.

"Of course i care, zotou!" Reno said with a sly grin. "Who else could cover for me while i sleep on the job?" He added, sticking his tongue out playfully as he placed an arm around her shoulders.
Slowly he moved away again as he became increasingly intrested in their current surrounding and he walked ahead slightly. "So basically we're to find the source of all this mess." Reno crossed his arms as he stopped and surveyed the area. "Where the hell do we even start looking, zotou? We'd better be a little more careful..." He added, not wanting either of them to suffer such a misfortune as the animals in the area had suffered.

He jumped on his bike and sped back towards Midgar. His spikey blonde locks flew back lightly as the entrance to Sector 5 came closer into view. He gripped the throttle tighter as the world blurred around him, the gate shattering on impact while he passed through easily. Cloud skidded to a halt in front of the church and peered inside. His materia box was undisturbed and his makeshift bed was just as he left it.
"Things are too peaceful ... " he whispered to himself, almost as if he had hoped someone else could hear him.

Freyr glanced back up at the ridge and chuckled, "Yeah, there was..." He paused breifly considering, and tested his injured paw on the ground to assess the damage. "Why don't we go check?" He decided with a broad grin, then he trotted to stand beside Saerenna, gesturing with his head to his broad psuedo-equine back. "Care for a ride?" He glanced once at Ruo as well, "I'm sure you can manage Mrs.... 'financial advisor'." He snickered, before returning his gaze to Saerenna.

Saerenna looked a Freyr and then his back apprehensively, "You...uh... sure you wouldn't mind? Not a violation of personal space or anything?" she asked, biting her lip. How odd would it be to ride on the back of a part human- part feline- part equine? She picked up her phone and called Millia, not sure if shouting at her and Reno would be loud enough. "Hey, Mr. Freyr here and I are going to go check up on the ridge-hill area, because there was apparantly something up there. I'll tell you if we find anything worthwhile, kay?"

Freyr chuckled, "Personal bubble violation?? Me?? Heh, what a novel idea!" He decided, "Never thought of that. ..." He glanced at her again, as if toying with the idea of teasing her more, "Besides, what man in his right mind would object to the company of a beautiful young woman like yourself?" He grinned mischieviously, he reached down one arm to offer her a boost.

Ruo calmly pushed her sunglasses higher on her nose and sniffed lightly. "Of course I can manage." She said coldly. She glanced around and then sat neatly on a rock after dusting it off. She sat up stright with her legs crossed, and began working on a pad of paper. Whatever it said was almost completely incomprehensible but for a few simple words. It was written in her own shorthand, and while it was possibly due to poor penmanship, was a code only she could read.
