asdfghjkl;
That was the sound of Nyyrikki's train of thought coming to a crashing halt.
Little sister? He narrowed his eyes at the large demon and shook his head. This guy was tall, red skin, and black hair to Danny's cute, stocky, and ginger hair. "Danny never told me she had a brother," he said, obviously doubtful. "Who the jack are you?"
He crossed his arms and barely kept himself from snarling like a monster. "I said that's none of your damn business. Surely that got through your fat ego?"

Danny attempted to say something, but a lot of it was lost in her chewing food, "Well Oersted wouldn't do anything. He's dumb and lost in work all day." It was true too. Oersted never did anything fun. He just sat there and talked with people. At least, that was how Danny saw it.
She flinched a little with the way that Moure talked so fondly about her. It was such a shoot-herself-in-the-foot sort of question that she shouldn't have even bothered, but her curiosity was too great. "Well isn't that nice for her," she said bluntly, and quite bitterly. That was probably a bad way to start a conversation.
---
Oersted lost his cool. Or perhaps, he lost all of his cold. Suddenly flames were erupting from everywhere; his horns, his wings, his elbows, his ankles. All of it was spewing from everywhere, and his eyes were opened wide.
In the same swift movement, he slammed Rikki against a wall, thick hands cupped around his neck. Mostly he was just mad that Danny hadn't even mentioned him and he was taking it out on Rikki. His speech became augmented and purely demonic. Even some of the guards outside looked worried.
He spoke with an old demonic hiss, eerily he said, "You will tell me right now, or I will kill you." His speech was augmented, but pithy as ever. "I am Oersssted Fitzgerald, elder sssibling to Daniella, and you will tell me your information right now, or I will never let you sssee her again." His grip was firm and tight, squeezing.

Moure only caught part of whatever Danny had been saying, a name and working all day being what he could distinguish from the rest of her eating sounds. "Oersted?" He asked, tilting his head a bit. "And why were they just working all day?" That least Moure assumed that's what she was talking about. It was a tad hard to tell, since her speech had been so garbled by chewing.
Moure shook his head slightly, looking to Danny with a bit of an amused eyebrow raise. "Danny, you realize you did the same, right? Went on vacation, visited home?" It was slightly amusing to see Danny fume so much about the same things she had done. Moure looked around again, still a bit wary about their surroundings. Talking to Danny, even about Edel, was helping the patchwork loosen up a bit, but he was still very tense to be eating in such a high-class place.

Between one blink and the next Rikki felt the back of his skull slamming against the wall with a sickening thud. Tears blurred his black and orange eyes from the pounding pain but he blinked them back, trying to concentrate on balancing on his toes that the the facking beartrap-like hands around his neck wouldn't be pressing down with so much pressure. He was too short, and it was beyond uncomfortable. Eyes wide, he realized that he was in way over his head.
"Synkka," he choked out, trying to cough but unable to even complete that simple function. "My parents are Tapio and Mielikki Synkka. Grim reapers." His throat hurt so bad, and the disconnected tone of the demon's voice sent not ice but hot embers of fear skating up his spine. Not to mention that the flames licking all over the demons body were too close. Too close.

Danny stared at Moure like he was a new kind of stupid. "'Cause he's Oersted. That's just what he does," she said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Little did she know, Oersted actually did quite a bit of work up in that "boring office." In fact, he did more work in a day than she did in a year, but nevermind that.
To his comment, she snidely replied, "Yeah but I didn't have you crawling all over me to do my bidding like a pet. You're not her pet Moure." Though one would never suspect it, Danny and Oersted really did share a trait for being able to pick out peoples' weaknesses. Danny just never utilized it. She was too stupid too. Sometimes it just came out by accident though. The stare was pretty uncanny too.
---
The very second Nyyrikki spoke, Oersted immediately relented and snapped back to his chair where he had been sitting before. It was like he had never even gotten up. There weren't even burn marks to establish he had done anything.
Casually, Oersted adjusted his hair and realigned his suit to his specific desires. The intelligence section of his group was probably already typing away searching for this "Synkka" family. Finding out all of their details. All of them.
As Rikki had been dropped against the wall, Oersted carefully lifted a claw to help him up, and patted his back. He had an evil smile on his face, and possessively slitted eyes. "Yes well, let's go upstairs and find your ... date... shall we?" He motioned once again for Rikki to follow. This time they headed into an elevator, covered in mirrors. Every inch of Rikki could be seen, and the same could be said for Oersted. The older male stood stoicly and silently the entire time, but his eyes had him laughing to himself.

Moure shook his head slightly. "Danny, I don't know who Oersted is. I'm guessing he's a family friend? Relative?" She was right about one thing though; It did sound like it would've been a boring experience for the fire demon. Her plus a lot of little papery works (he'd assume) didn't sound like they'd mix very well.
Moure blinked, a bit surprised by how hostile Danny's reply had been. He managed to give a little shrug and said, "I'd take care of anybody's pets if they asked. It's not just because she's Edel." Moure looked down to his bowl of macaboney and took one more bite, thinking. Had Danny really never realized what being a Patchwork such as himself, especially one created by Cphira, entailed? He thought he'd told her, but... "You know I'm horrible at turning down people when they need help." He was always ready to help someone. That's just how Moure worked. The fact that Danny pin-pointed it so bitterly though, that did surprise the Runner. He gave a little shake of his head and said quietly, realizing something that seemed a bit pointless at this moment in time, but still slightly important to him, "I don't think I ever thanked you for inviting me out here, did I? ...Thank you." Might as well say it now. Perhaps it'd be able to help the situation too.

Nyyrikki barely even registered being practically hauled to his feet and dusted off. Every stubborn cell in his body was screaming that he'd given in way too easily. Why had he just spurted out his family name when he could have held on to it? This demon had no right to that information.
Except, it was hard to argue when thick, steely hands were wrapped around your throat, pinning you to the wall hard enough that your shoulder blades were aching. As the elevator began to glide smoothly upwards, he tugged his collar a little, trying to pull it up and hide the red bruises that would no doubt be forming.
And he couldn't help it. His mouth moved.
"How come she hasn't told me about you?"

Danny sighed. It seemed no matter which question she answered, it would end with her getting angry. It would either be talk about her older brother, and listen to Moure talk about how great HE is, or talk about Edel and listen to Moure talk about about how great SHE was. She just couldn't win.
She decided to go with the safter option. "Oersted is my older brother. He owns this place," she said, gesturing around her. That was all she said though, as she slumped back down into the seat. Suddenly she didn't want to talk about Oersted anymore.
So it was back to Edel. Was she bringing up an argument that was already dead? Yes. Yes she was. "But you really like helping her! I see the way you look at her like she's the jacking Sally of our day." Danny looked down, ashamed that she had even said that. She was only beating Moure up, not even attempting to compromise.
Sighing, she pulled up Moure's hands from his macaboney and quietly said, "I'm sorry, that was dumb. I ... just don't like seeing her with you."
---
The elevator had just opened. They were almost in the clear and then Rikki had to go and open his big mouth. Oersted's eyes filled with that same indignant nature he had had in his office, but the fanfare was gone now that they were in a public place. Had he been anywhere else, Oersted would've smashed the boil's face in.
Oersted was intelligent though. He knew how cornered he was in this public restaurant setting. He couldn't just hit a child; the press would pounce on him in a millisecond.
However, an even better opportunity presented itself. Oersted's eyes glanced over to where Danny and Moure were sitting, right at the moment when Danny had grabbed the other boil's hands. "Ah, maybe because she was too busy talking with her ..." he paused, picking his words maliciously, "close friend over there?"
A smile crossed his face, but he couldn't revel in the garrulousness of it all, as a demon in a suit pulled him aside to brief him on this "Nyrikki Synkka" person. They had already gotten information so quickly. Well, of course they had. Oersted wouldn't settle for anyone who took more than a half hour. Oersted left Rikki to his own musings, while he himself nodded his head slowly to the informat's knowledge.

When Danny mentioned that A) she had an older brother and B) that he also was rich enough that he owned the restaurant, Moure's eyes widened. Danny hadn't seemed like the type who had sibilings, but that wasn't what shocked him the most. Danny's brother owned the restaurant. If he owned a place as amazing as this, how powerful was he, how powerful was Danny's family in general? "I-I see." Moure said, once again looking around the room. The sense that he was a fish out of water came again, more forceful this time. Danny had always just been Danny Fitz, the fire demon ghoul Moure was friends with. But that had been back at school. In this world, the real world, she was a member of a powerful, rich Demon family. And Moure was a servant, created to follow the orders of people like Cphira. Rich Demon families, too...Families that could be just like Danny's.
Luckily, Danny didn't seem to want to continue with that subject, which was fine by Moure. His RPM-meter of a heart was already beating far too quickly because of the realization and nervousness Moure had in his system. Danny's family was so rich. Which again meant that the people eating here were also probably that rich...which meant someone might know Cphira...
Moure simply took Danny's words, slumping slightly into the back of the seat. Moure knew Danny didn't like Edel. He knew he shouldn't have kept explaining. Perhaps somewhere in his mind, he hoped that someday the two wouldn't be at each other's throats. But perhaps that was just a dream to be dashed. He gave a slight nod, and said, "I...I know. I do. I don't know why, but I do." Moure wouldn't deny it, any of it.
Moure's eyebrows raised slightly, almost of their own accord, when Danny took hold of his hands and took them off his food. What, did she want the macaboney? She could've just asked for it. But apparently that wasn't the case here. He gave a little tip of his head, then said, "It's alright. I know you and Edel don't get along, so I won't expect you to try to just for me. It's okay."

Nyyrikki might have gaped at the restaurant. He might have chuckled over the servers in their funny little outfits, and whistled through his teeth at the fancy china. He might have scanned the crowd, shaking with a little excitement when he saw someone who looked unbelievably similar to a certain high profile celebrity, and might have even ran his fingers over the silky leaves of the exotic plants that no doubt took great care to keep alive.
....
Except he was jacking pissed. He didn't know if he was angry at the scene before him, or Oersted for silently gloating. Probably both. And they were probably shifting back and forth so rapidly that he all but turned into a mutant green monster of pure rage.
But other than the white-knuckled (... blue-knuckled?) fisting of his hands (he was going to have a permanent set of crescent shaped scars on his palms), and the tight grinding of his teeth, he didn't betray his turbulent mood. Instead he turned, clapped Oersted on the shoulder, and left him with the most nuetral greeting he could muster, "Thanks for the company, Brosted."
The trek to the booth seemed to take forever. Booth. Booths were something Nyyrikki associated with romantic dates. And it certainly, CERTAINLY, should have been him on the other side of the table, facing Danny with their hands intertwined. Moure and Danny were far too close - didn't he have a ghoulfriend? - and it was infuriating. He hadn't even known the undead boil was supposed to be here, ugh!
He didn't clear his throat, didn't make any polite entrances, just slid into the booth beside Danny until their thighs were touching and wrapped his arm around her waist.
Hmph.

Danny was frowning now. She had really said something dumb, and Moure was being so nice about it, and everything was just ruined now- oh hi Rikki- and now he was trying to comfort her and-
WAT. WAT WAT WAT.
Danny gaped at Rikki and immediately let go of Moure's hands in favor of wrapping them around Rikki in a hug. "Rikki! When did you get here! I missed you!!" She meant it from the bottom of her heart. She had definitely missed this boil most, followed very closely by Roch. Just the sight of him made her face all red. Not this again. She detached from him when she saw who was trailing him, instead opting a face of complete despair.
---
Oersted, now fully filled in on this Nyyrikki boil, was completely enraged. Not only was Danny fraternizing with a low class- LOWEST class- servant boil, now she was also hanging out with a lowly reaper family's boil. Then again, everything was lowly to him. Nothing would ever be perfect enough for his Danny.
He gaited over to the threesome at the table, staring straight at Danny hugging that ... thing. As soon as he arrived, he cleared his throat, gazing intently at the threesome, but mostly at Rikki. Aimed at Danny he spat, "You idiotic ghoul, what did you do? Why did you invite these two ... things?" He continued very calmly, but very angrily, this time aimed at Rikki "Get your hands off her and don't you dare touch her again," even though Danny had already detached herself at his arrival.
Further riding this little rage boat, Oersted turned to Moure and said, "And you, Cphira's boil. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be serving some tables or something?" Oersted was just being disgraceful now. None of the guests even thought to stare at him, they were far too afraid of his power. Oersted was in full control. "You shouldn't even be sitting at that table, you shouldn't even be in this building, YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN-" he growled.
---
Danny, at first through all of this, had stayed quiet. She knew how angry he could get, and how scary he could be. There was only one or two times that Danny had actually stood up to her older brother in her life, and usually she was the one who lost. No not usually. She ALWAYS lost.
Not this time though. Danny was okay with Oersted beating her up, but not Moure and ESPECIALLY not Rikki. Like an animal, Danny climbed over Rikki and screamed, "D-Don't say that! You can't say that about my friends!" People were now trying very hard, with little success, to avoid staring at this twosome. Danny was shrieking now, "Go away! You always ruin EVERYTHING for me! EVERYTHING."

At first, Rikki had gone to snake his arms back around Danny just to spite the powerful demon that wouldn't leave him alone. But then those arms served to hold her back as she climbed over him and began to shout at her brother.
One hand raised and a single slender finger stood up. "See what you do? No wonder she never mentioned you. She doesn't even like you." Maybe there were assumptions there, but he figured he could make assumptions when Danny was about ready to roll heads.

When Rikki suddenly appeared, Moure gave him a nod, pulling his hands back as soon as Danny released them. He gave the reaper a nod, silently trying to say, "I'm glad you're here for her". It seemed like Danny and Rikki might be dating (When had that started?), and Moure didn't want to get caught between anything.
Moure's attention was quickly diverted by the tall, powerful looking demon who approached them. When the man began to speak harshly toward Danny, Moure made the connection as to who this guy was. Oersted. Oersted Fitz...Why did that sound vaguely familiar? No matter the reason, Moure found himself trying to press against the back of the booth slightly, as if to escape the attention of the angry demon.
When Oersted said his doctor's name, Moure's head flew up, eyes full of shock and fear, wilting just from the fact that someone knew that horrid woman. Someone knew Cphira. That's why his name had been so familiar. He knew Cphira. Oh no, no no no, he knew Cphira. He swallowed nervously, then said quietly, "Y-yes Sir. I should be..." Moure had been right, just as Oersted was right. He should've been buffing tables, serving food, something. Anything but trying to be a customer. He knew his place, just as Oersted did. He was servant. Any other thoughts were simply a delusion. Quietly he said, "I know Sir. I'm sorry if I've blemished your facility from my presence..." His eyes were downcast, trying to avoid seeing the truth he already knew reflected back at him in Oersted's eyes.
Then, Danny spoke back. Moure noticed her actions out of the corner of his eye, still to paralyzed by the situation to do really anything. Vaguely he was proud that Danny thought of him as a good enough to friend to fight for, but he didn't deserve it. He was just a patchwork after all. A patchwork who's head would probably roll if Cphira ever found out about him being here, angering someone she knew. Rikki was talking back to the other demon too, leaving Moure as the only silent one at the table at this point. The patchwork knew his place, after all.

Oersted attempted to protest, but his little sister was screeching directly in his face- there wasn't much he could do but step back and take it all. "N-Now Daniella-" and "Well you see-" was all he could get in. When she finally stopped yelling for even a moment, he said, "Why don't you see how much you're worth?!" It was said so quietly that maybe even Daniella didn't hear it. He hoped she did though.
Then that brat. That thing spoke up. Rikki even had a finger pointed at him. At HIM. At Oersted jacking Fitzgerald. That was it, he didn't care about the press anymore. The waiters, being intelligent, had already ushered everyone out of the restaurant. There was, luckily, no one there to witness what would happen next.
Oersted reached out one of his giant hands and grabbed Rikki right by the shirt. While lifting the boil off the seat, he snarkily said, "Just wait until he tells you about Tellavros." He then whirled around and chucked the boil at a wall before Danny could even get in a word of protest (though she did stick out an arm, there was nothing she could do. She'd lost, again).
He thought he would've solved something with this action, but it just made him feel more angry. Sometimes, it was obvious why Danny and Oersted were related. Only they would have such rash, quick reactions based on pure emotions and nothing else. It was like these thin similarities connected them in a way that no one but a family member could explain.
Why he thought this action would please his little sister was beyond anyone. He probably didn't even do it to get the attention of his sister. In fact, it was most likely just a kneejerk reaction to Rikki's stupid comments. Either way, Oersted looked back at Danny, and her facial expression shocked him. It wasn't that of anger or upsetness. It was just total disgust. Disgust and distrust. Before he could say anything, Danny had leapt out of the booth and shoved past him. The shove left more emptiness than anything. This was Danny we were talking about. Oersted derived his power from being able to push her around and hurt her. She was the twerpy little sister; she never stood up to anyone, least of all him. Yet now here she was, chasing after some other boil, and not sitting down and listening to him like she had done when she was little. What had just happened?
He coughed, and instead decided to take his anger out on Moure, as there was no one else left at the table. Danny was already rushing to Rikki's side when Oersted said, "I think you should leave, meatbag," staring directly at Moure. At least there was something there he could still pick on. With that, he walked away from the table, towards the elevator.
---
The moment Rikki left Oersted's hand and slammed into the wall, Danny had shoved past her brother to go check on the boil. Pure indignation rose up in her, and she scorched an entire table on her way. How could Oersted do this to a person? How could he just carelessly toss someone like that?! It was indemon. It was indecent. It was wrong. Most of all, how could he do it to Rikki?
When she reached Rikki's side, Oersted was already rushing past her, eager to get to the elevator. He looked like he was going to say something, but she shot him a look so cold that it didn't seem possible to come from a fire demoness. Oersted gave a look of despair, and then walked out. Everything had happened so quickly that Danny hadn't had time to really assess the situation.
If Moure stayed or left, Danny couldn't tell, she was so distracted. That definitely wasn't the source of her focus right now. All of her attention was just centered around this one boil, this precious boil that was her friend- no her best friend. She was shaking, because Rikki wasn't moving. Even in the haunted house, when mirrors had cut all over his body, Rikki had still MOVED. This was different. This was scary. For whatever reason, she pushed the hair out of his face, to get a clear look at his eyes, which her now squeezed shut. Danny cupped his head in her hands, just saying, "No, no, no," quietly to herself and no one else. She reached out to touch his arm, jostle him a little. M-Maybe he was just asleep.

He saw the hand coming at him, almost as if it was slow motion, and horror gripped it's disgusting talons his his gut. He tried to meld, frantically trying to concentrate and pull the shadows onto his body until he was so much as intangible, but he wasn't quick enough. He went wispy and black at the ends of his person until Oersted made contact and moved him, then he snapped back into solidity abruptly. His eyes began to roll back, everything feeling dizzy and faint.
Just wait until he tells you about Tellavros.
"HIS NAME IS TELLERVO!" Nyyrikki roared, kicking out and flailing. His chains glowed for an instant and shifted in angered rattling, but before he could actually do anything he was sailing through the air.
He made impact with the wall and the low, reverberating sound of it crashed through his ears momentarily before his chest constricted and everything went black.
