The shocks sparked across the opening cracks, forcing them wider but, at the same time, dealing a nasty blow that was aided little by the dampness of Erebos' fur or the close quarters he found himself in as the ice still pressed against his sides. Ironically, despite the multiple times he'd been frozen in this battle alone, it was that one shock that irritated him more than anything, and he bared his lips in that widening block of ice, red eyes moving to glare at the rat.

Gangrel's red eyes caught Erebos', and he spared him a single, mocking look before closing his eyes once again. The fur stood on end, the gathering electricity bounding about the platform on which he stood.
[It was a good fight.]
The chatter had barely left his lips before he opened his eyes violently, the gathered electricity exploding out, traveling over the water to the other platforms, with a particular emphasis on Erebos' platform.
With a slight smile, Gangrel turned to leave.

Erebos' eyes opened wide at the words, but they quickly narrowed, his brows furrowed, his teeth pressed right. A terrible growl came from him then, starting from deep within his belly and erupting from his maw harshly.
'Don't you dare,' he thought, eyes locked on the Rattata, fangs still clamped, paws heaving with renewed strength against the cracked ice surrounding him as the latest burst of Shockwave riveted through his being. 'Don't you dare think this is over yet.'
At that instant, his prison shattered, sending chunks of frozen ice teetering on the edge, landing with an audible plop in the water. Erebos landed heavily on his paws despite the slick melting ice beneath, and for a moment, it seemed he really would be able to retaliate. But before he could move, prepare another attack, or even take a step, he fell, and he did not rise again.

Gangrel paused to look at the unconscious lucario. He'd given him a hell of a fight, and still tried to go on, even after losing. Gangrel couldn't help but see a bit of himself in Erebos, and smiled softly to himself.
But the battle was over, and he was victorious. He slumped over onto the platform, and fell asleep as the red light of the pokeball enveloped him.
"You did well, Gangrel." Walpurgis whispered to the ball. "I hope you had lots of fun." Turning to look at the lucario and it's trainer, Walpurgis bowed his head slightly in respect, then whirled around to leave, cloak and duster waving behind him.
