"Get the quartermaster to give you a mirror, geez!" Madison grinned - a bit relieved that her mention of Ennea's dad hadn't been a huge awkward thing - and got up from the bed, leaving the brush behind. She followed the pink-haired girl out to the bathroom, shoving the door open for both of them before gesturing grandly at the mirror.
"There you go. Not that complicated... it looks kinda... different, though? I dunno, I'm so used to seeing your hair in two parts, I guess."

Ennéa turned her head this way and that to inspect her hairdo. The girl in the mirror still looked gangly as ever and her nose was red and chapped from her cold, but Ennéa ignored all that to focus on the bun. It smoothed and swept back her hair in an almost elegant fashion that made her look older and perhaps a little sophisticated?
Baraz snorted at that but Ennéa ignored him too.
The best thing about the bun though, was that Maddie's stylings didn't leave frizzy stray locks of hair escaping everywhere like how it usually looked whenever Ennéa tried to do anything.
She turned and beamed at the older. "Thanks, Maddie! It looks great!" Ennéa turned back to the mirror. "Can you show me how to do it on my own?"

"Sure," Madison said, grinning. She reached up and gently released the bun, pulling the hair tie free carefully so as not to yank on any of Ennea's hair. "Just brush it out, first, with your fingers if you don't have a brush handy, then twist it up like so, see, and-"
Try twisting it to the left, Kouki put in, interested. Madison's smile softened, and she tried that, moving her hands over Ennea's and giving instruction where needed.
Yep. Girl time - even with a boy weapon interjecting - was the best time.
