Grus smiled, hearing the warmth in her voice. Camelot was a kind person. It didn't seem possible that someone could actually dislike the guy.
"I..haven't really thought that far ahead." she admitted, feeling silly. She had spent the first two nights wandering the city and sleeping where she could, including under a tree. "I can't...really go home." She inwardly laughed at the thought of her parents' reactions to a red cat. She would have to get a letter to them soon, or they were going to worry about her whereabouts.
"You don't have to harbor me." She said, whiskers wavering. "Your parents would probably be super confused. However, if you could do me a favor and write a letter for my family, then I can let you get on with your day."
She rose from the couch cushion, paws sinking into the comfy fabric.

”I don’t mind harboring you.” Harm said quietly. “And I don’t mind writing a letter to your parents.”
Camelot had done the same for her in space, getting a message to her mother that she was alive and well, waiting to come home. She’d been wounded and scared but he helped her heal. It would be hypocritical of her now to deny someone else that same basic right of knowledge. She knew how much her mother had worried about her and didn’t want any other parent to do that kind of worrying. Not if she could help.
“You can stay in my room. It’s not very big but it’ll be warm and cozy.” She didn’t mind having a feline roommate for the time being. “I go to work in the morning.”
She reached out and scratched Grus’ ears, a nervous habit now when she saw cats. She didn’t think her mom would be too confused, especially if Grus stayed in her room. Her mom was caught up doing other things and sometimes didn’t notice a whole lot.
"Let me go get a pen and some paper." She moved to fetch them quickly.

Grus was very grateful. She moved from her current location to a sitting position on the nearest table. When Harmony returned with the writing necessities, Grus said "Just a simple letter will do. Something about how I'm sorry that I haven't been home. As for an excuse... lets say Jesse and I were told by the varsity volleyball coach that we have a shot at the varsity team next year, but she recommends that we do some one on ne practice with her to work out a few kinks. And since Jesse lives closer to school, I've been staying there so that our practice can go longer. I'll be home soon, and I'm keeping up with my homework so they shouldn't worry. I think that about covers it."
She put a paw to her chin, making sure that she didn't forget any loopholes. "Oh! Maybe add a little note saying my phone died? It's hard to answer their calls when I don't have fingers." She wiggled her toes.
"If you want to just roll it up and tie it, I can drop it off at home sometime tomorrow. I really appreciate your help with this."
