Pavlov sighed as the vines seemed to resign and retreat back to the edge of the path. "You know," he started morosely. "I think they do this on purpose. Just when I think I've figured out what most people are probably seeing and what they're not...something incredible pops up, something that can't possibly be real, something like you." He paused and frowned, "But you are. And I am back where I started." The stallion looked around with his icy wide eyes, taking in the various shadows and demons that seemed to be stalking in the darkness and muttered to himself, "Pavlov, my boy, you are in some serious trouble..."

"Huh?" he blinked coming out of his own musing. "Oh, yes, my name is Pavlov. Did I neglect to mention that before? So sorry, I kinda get lost in my own thoughts a lot. So often they are my only companions and demand my attention. And...thank you. It's always been one small thing about myself that I've been fond of." He regarded Isolde's melting state critically, "Sorry to be rude or forward, but I must ask, is that a life-threatening ailment that you suffer from?"
Not that he had anything within his own powers that he could do if it was, but another one of Pavlov's little flaws was an insatiable curiosity. Combining that with his other little "gift" made for many interesting situations.

Isolde smiled oddly and moved a bit over to get out of the puddle she was making.

Pavlov offered a rare half smile from his stitched mouth, "No, I suppose it wouldn't. You're a brave one, Isolde. I wish you more luck in escaping your fears than I have found," he sighed softly. "I hope yours aren't as fast as mine..."
