He had just found a rhythm with which to beat his wings that didn't leave him weaving through the air like a miniature hippo shot from a t-shirt gun when he got another smack from Legs, this time to the face. West fell quite dramatically then, and he didn't stop until he hit the ground below, his wings popping back out of existence upon impact.
"Dammit, ghoul," he muttered as he stood. He felt... weaker somehow, more vulnerable, and he had no idea what that meant. FEAR shield go bye-bye.
"Yeah..." he agreed, not bothering to take off again. Maybe he would have a better shot at beating her back on the ground.

Maritess let out a distraught "Eep!" at the sudden plummet West took. Sh-she didn't think she hit him that hard. Actually, she was very much surprised she even hit him at all! She was exhausted and about ready to faint. She honestly didn't know what to make of the situation. Maybe he wasn't as adept at sparring when he was flying?
She slung Legs over her shoulder as she asked, "A-are you okay there?" She leaned forward as she flew down, her grip on her lower half going slack. Unfortunately, her descent caused Legs to slip off and fall... "AAAAAAAAUGH!!!!!!" she shrieked in horror when she saw Legs crash-land right on top of West.

Tess was very correct in her assumption that he was better on the ground, but it was too late for West to take advantage of that fact. He looked up at the ghoul to answer her question but instead of seeing her face, he was greeted by a swiftly descending Legs.
His shout matched Tess' as he fell back to the ground, half due to shock and half resulting from Legs' impact. He felt his invisible protections fizzle and die, and it was then that West knew he should give up before he ended up making an even bigger fool of himself than he already had.
"I think I'm... uh... that's all fer today," he said quickly, pushing the pair of limbs free from where they straddled his torso as he hurriedly shoved himself into a seated position. "Um... good fight."

Oh Jack, oh Jack, oh Jaaaaaaaaaack!!! Tess was mortified and flailed and pretty much acting like she wasn't the victor in this spar. "R-rematch?" she suddenly piped up. "I-it's, I mean, I don't think that was a very um satisfactory ending to a spar. Unless it's how your spars usually end. Is it how your spars usually end? I-I've never been in one before..." she fretted, "Though I doubt you get hit with panty-shots often... I'm really sorry about that!" Tess apologized.
Inwardly, she decided they were even for that sudden dropping of his pants incident, which Tess would forever make the undead's equivalent to a blush whenever she remembered it.

It was true. His spars didn't usually end like this one had. Not at all.
"Yeah!" he replied a bit too enthusiastically considering the situation. "Rematch! That'd be... good. 'Cause, um, yeah, spars usually end with someone fallin'... though I guess I did?" He chuckled, but the sound was forced and ended quite abruptly. "An' don't be... nah... things happen." As he spoke, West edged toward the door, increasing the distance between the unconscious limbs, the hovering ghoul, and himself.
"See ya!" he practically chirped once he had made it to the door. FREEDOM! ESCAPE! NO MORE AWKWARD! Without waiting for a reply, West turned and hurried out of the gym and back to the demon dorms.
