Again, the dragon found himself staring at Riley. He was having trouble deciding whether he should try to help her or have her try to figure it out herself. After a moment or so of thinking, he decided to go with a medium of sorts. Basically, he reached and gave her a light poke to see if that would move her at all.

It moved her. An inch to the right. She slowly floated, until she stilled, and then her head turned to glare at him venomously.
Are you enjoying yourself?

Letting out a sigh, Jericho decided to go ahead and help her out this time around. Reaching out, he took a hold of her upper body and carefully tried to right her. He made sure to not go too fast so she could adjust her FEAR output accordingly if possible.

Finally back on her feet, so to speak, she focused on getting her control back, before stretching her back out. The muscles were starting to get a little sore after all. Well let's try not to let that happen for a while, I don't think I'm quite ready for it. Shall we continue our previous training?
Her body rose and fell in a very long, unhappy sigh.

"I think it's safe to say that, yeah," replied the dragon before standing by, "Alright. Just try turning back and forth for now. Get the feel of how you can do that. Then we'll go have a little 'walk' I guess you could say."
Jericho grinned weakly with this. By walk he really meant have her hover around after him through the area for a little bit.

Riley felt much more comfortable now that she was back in control. She felt so comfortable, in fact, that she overcompensated the amount of Fear needed to hover, and suddenly-
Riley was gone.
There was a blueish purple streak in the dark of night, somewhere very high up in the sky. She didn't yell - at least, not in a way he could hear - she just flailed uncontrollably as her wings carried her away.

One moment Riley was there. The next moment...
"Oh jack!" cried out Jericho as he stared up trying spot where she was. It was hard to see where she had gone. In any case, he didn't hesitate to launch himself up into the sky to see if he needed to fetch or catch the mindflayer.

Riley wasn't going very fast, but she was still going.
I do believe I cannot stop of my own volition, Jericho. Her shaky voice called out to him. If you would.. perhaps.. with great haste?

Speeding up so he could pass up Riley in flight, he stopped above her to try and catch her in a way. Hopefully she wouldn't start pushing him upwards as well else he might have a little bit of a problem there.

Riley's arms moved out of the way to let him capture her, and he could feel the gentle tug of her wings trying to pull her further upward. It wasn't strong enough to take him, too, and as soon as the upward momentum had been stopped, the wings flared and then died down, becoming lifeless once more.
Riley's eyes widened.
This, ah, would be an inopportune moment to let me go. So.. please don't. Her arms clutched around him carefully in case he had a moment of 'mother hen-ness'.

Once he had her in his arms, Jericho made sure he had a pretty firm grip, especially once her wings died down. Beating his own down a little more forcefully to counteract the extra weight he now had, he glanced at the ground below. Yeah, that'd be one hell of a drop.
"Don't worry. I got ya," he said before beginning to descend back towards the ground.

She would only be happy once they'd touched down again. Or, as happy as Riley got, relatively speaking. You always do. She answered easily, eyeing the ground even as they moved to touch down on it.
Now, ah, do you think I need a leash? Or can we hope that was that a one time spurt? I would very much rather not being flown like a kite.

Before too long, they were on the ground again, and it was then that Jericho carefully let Riley down.
"Hm... No. But if you do that a few more times you may need one."

Riley leaned in and gave him a close, very serious glare. I was joking about that, Jericho. There will be no leashing me in public.
She backed away and immediately got back to work, floating and changing her thrusts to compensate for her movements. She was, at least, getting adept with floating. This was a step forward.
I wonder, Jericho, do your wings allow you to float in place?

Chuckling a bit at Riley's words, Jericho nodded before thinking about her next question.
"Sort of. It's not really floating though. I mean I can stay in place in the air but my body isn't too steady while I do that. Generally speaking, I need to be more than just a few feet off the ground to do that too," he replied. His wings weren't really designed for hovering.
