It is so nice to now that Drama and Theatre still thrives in some schools. I truly wish the theatre and music was deemed worthy at my school. Do you have any idea how hard it is to try to fix up a stage that is currently being used as a weight room by the football team? Especially when they don't want to give it up?

I don't know. I've seen how art affects people and how sports affects people, and they're both positive. The fact that they only let the sport-minded people have their positive outlet makes me sad.
I'm lucky in a way. I live in classy Oregonian Suburbia, where neighbors buy each other's houses and build reflector pools on the lake. Well, some people do. It's boring, but it has its kicks.
I would shrivel up and die without music. I'm too nerdy to survive.

But since we almost closed two years ago the only place money is being invested is football and wrestling. The arts are suffering. We have a music room with an amazing choir director who will let us just appear during free periods though.

We've got a Black Box, which is an amazing gift, even though it has terrible water leakage. The only thing my high school is good at is arts, so we can't get rid of it.
