Christof stepped back, eyes still trembling over the set up, wondering for a moment if he had stumbled his way back to that odd house with it's lying rooms. Is... Mas- He caught himself, What is going on, Mistress?
His eyes narrowed, looking hurt. But Barth... Calder knew, surely BARTH knew how he felt about... had they set this up? Had they been... he wobbled a little with the look of a young man who's brain was melting out his ears, but somehow he recovered, limping forward towards her, I hope everything is alright....
Maybe they were... having an argument? Then the best thing to do for his Master would be to remove the problem, right? Which meant reaching to scoop her up with all three arms....

Riley dropped her hands and slumped into the couch. Barth and I were having a friendly discussion, which ended in him trapping me in his vines because he wants to keep me forever. I told him, Barth, I'm seeing someone. But did he listen? Nooo.
She raised her arms up again. Remove me from this place, Christof darling. I tire of it.
She was being so deliriously melodramatic.

Well... well, wherever Barth was, he had given his consent so this was absolutely the right thing to do, considering Riley was laying there all... helpless and... and bothered and... in that torn skirt he liked and...
He scooped her up, giving a little bit of a grunt. She weighed more than Barth did but he was careful to keep that thought to himself. He couldn't have done this before his Upgrades, that was for certain. And even with his Fear.... feeling off, between the three arms he was able to support her quite comfortably.
Somehow he doubted it had been a friendly discussion. Mistress... he mentally spoke up trying to keep it quiet and kind and properly polite, Master has... gone through a lot recently. It might be best to not bother him so... At... at least not so soon.

You're right of course, Christof. Riley murmured in agreement as she slumped like a sack of potatoes against him, letting him carry her off. If anything, she just wanted Barth to watch Christof carry her. There was something about that..
Sorry Barth. I know you're dealing with a lot right now. I didn't mean to bother you. I just wanted to say hi. She lifted her head, and one hand, giving him a very wicked expression as she waved goodbye from Christof's back.
Let's play again soon.

With only a glance over his hunch to the closing thorns, Christof gave a weak grunt goodbye before limping with his load to the door. He juggled his grip on her to close the door behind them with his other right arm.
Why must you tease him, Mistress? He tried to keep his tone polite, his face a bit flushed as he lurched towards her door to see if that was left unlocked.

The door was unlocked.
Because. She hopped off of his back the moment they'd left the room, and she entered her dorm on her own two feet. He's clever. And fun. And if he truly didn't like it, he would just ignore me. But he does not ignore me, he plays with me. It's what demons do, Christof. You should know that by now.
She sat down on her own couch, and flopped just as lazily as she had been on Barth's. You should be more worried if I ignored him. Then there would be a problem.

I see, He thought carefully, fidgeting as he glanced to the door with growing concern. Was he alright? Hopefully. He removed the agitator at least. He would be fine. I know... it was only a day we were gone, Mistress but... sometimes a day can feel much longer if enough things happen in it. And... a lot of things did happen. I am concerned for him, Mistress... I had thought it would be a good thing you're next door to him, I'm not mistaken, am I?

The hunchback fidgeted, looking uncharacteristically antsy in her room. Usually he would have been fawning over her and would have brought her bedroom slippers by now. Instead, he picked at his hair, eyes carefully a few inches to the left of Riley's head. I suppose not, Mistress. Always... up to no good. May I help you with anything?

Riley noticed every change in his behavior. She said nothing. No, but thank you for saving me. You're always there when I need you, Christof.
She sent him an affectionate nudge, and turned as if she was to take a nap on the couch. Her eyes even closed.
