"Oh, sure," she agreed at once, picking up the hairbrush again. She got up out of the chair and gestured to it. "Come over here, it'll be easier." At the mention of going to eat food, her cheeks flushed sharply pink, but in a good way. "Sure! Thanks," she said, gratified by the invitation. "Man, I miss restaurants, though... and Mom's cooking. She said she was gonna teach me how, but I never got around to it. I guess I don't have to learn now, though..."

Bix got up, brushing his long hair over his shoulder, and sat down in the desk chair. He shuffled and adjusted until he'd gotten it all behind him, tumbling down his back. "We never had good restaurants at home. I had to drive like an hour just to get sushi when I lived at home. College was great though. If you drove into the little town there they had cafes and stuff." He smiled a bit, remembering. "This isn't that different I guess. I mean it's a campus with dorms.. and a town.. though the town is RUINED and sometimes infested with monsters..." Real reassuring Bix. "Did you see that old grandma looking lady in the kitchen?" Her cookies intrigued him.

Madison hesitated a moment, then picked up the hairbrush and started working out any tangles in Bix's long, pale fall of hair. "I never got to go to college... hah. I wanted to, like, join a sorority. What a great goal, right? I guess right now I'd be a..." She paused again, then, though for an entirely different reason. "Hang on." She fumbled her cell phone out of her pocket with her free hand and blinked at it. The date looked almost accusing. "Huh." Then she put her phone away and kept brushing. "I guess, hah, I'm like... 18 now? When did that happen?" Well, it happened on October 2nd, but she hadn't even noticed the date going by. That was a weird, weird feeling.

Bix kept his opinion of sororities and fraternities to himself. The only one he could get into would be the fictional one from Revenge of the Nerds. That wasn't to say he didn't have college friends, they just weren't the fraternity type. They were more of the.. LAN party type. His brain and stomach flip flopped, just a little, when Madison said she'd turned 18. She was legal? Of course that didn't change too much and on the island the rules seemed to be different but for his own moral state of mind he now did not feel as guilty for finding her attractive. WHEW. "Happy Birthday then." He turned his head to flash her a grin. "I don't have a present or anything but.." Hmmm he was plotting. If they were going to get food after this.... Bix was suddenly sporting a very sneaky face.

"Thanks?" Madison chuckled; she couldn't see the entirety of the sneaky face, but she was gratified by the grin. "Honestly, it doesn't... much feel any different. I dunno. Maybe I'll start counting from the day I, like, woke up? That feels more like a birthday. A... rebirthday?" The idea amused her, and she grinned herself as she finished brushing through his hair and started braiding. "Man, I've never braided hair as long as this before. I just braid up a little on the side of my hair, y'know? Uh, well. Before now, I mean. And once it grows out." She sighed as she wove the white hair together. "Whatever your trick was for avoiding total annihilation by fire, I want it."

"Well I didn't exactly avoid total annihilation.." Bix looked at his hands a bit. "Just my hair did. I actually.. bit the dust I guess." He wouldn't tell her that he threw himself on top of Before. It was a mixture of embarrassment and something else he couldn't put his finger on. "Actually.." He pulled the collar of his t-shirt down a bit at the top to show her the beginning of his bandaging. In reality the bandages wrapped around his whole torso but the wounds were just on his back. he then lifted up the bottom of his shirt so she could see some of the healed parts, pink and raw but then covered with bandages again as it got further up his back. "And the thing clawed me. I think I am going to have some badass claw scars.."

"Ick." Madison winced in sympathy. "Yeah, I got kinda burned on my leg, too.. I'm really hoping it doesn't, like, scar." And by really hoping she meant oh god please no. "I've never had anything like that happen before, so... I dunno. Ugh, I sound like such a wuss, but nothing like this ever happened in Burbank... I'm not used to it quite yet I guess?" She was about halfway down the braid by now, fingers moving more quickly as she gained confidence.

"No one is expecting you to just be some battle hardened badass after the first big mission. Well I am not.. Maybe our jerk superiors are.." He chuckled a bit. Bix could feel her moving down the braid and knew she was almost done. "Why are all the higher ups big douche bags, by the way?" he shook his head, then remembered she was doing his hair and so he stopped himself. "It's not like they are just mean they are constantly disappointed which is worse I think." His stomach growled, he couldn't wait to get food after this. Sosiqui Sorry I lost this RP for a minute XD

"Maybe you have to be like that? To make it that far?" Madison shook her head; the way her newly shortened hair brushed against her neck and shoulders was still weird. "At least you don't know your higher-up is a jerk. Look what I get. Dr. H. Woooo." She deftly worked the hair tie around the end of the braid and let it go. "There! All set."

"I guess I'll never be a higher up then." Bix shook his head feeling the lessened weight of his braid bob behind him. "I can't be that much of a d**k all the time." He chuckled but he was probably wrong, when he disliked people he could behave pretty badly. "So let's go get some food then!" He hopped up from the chair and tucked it under his desk, holding the door open for her as his stomach growled. Sosiqui We can fast forward to fooding if you want

"Thanks," Madison said, warmly. "You're a pretty good hairdresser, y'know. I really appreciate it. Seriously." She gave him an easy grin, then slipped out the door. Despite all odds, this was shaping up to be a pretty good day. iloveyouDIE Is that a good place for a wrap? XD I can't really think of anything to say over food, lolz.
