Harrison shrugged again. If it made Jerry feel better, okay.
"I guess it was just something that happened, and if I talked about it, people thought I was just lying, or trying to get attention, or some s**t. So if it was anything approaching weird, I didn't mention it. I didn't, you know, ever see anyone about it. Doctors or anything."
It was easier to keep to yourself before. Here, they had to fill out a report. DOMESTIC DISPUTE forms had been replaced with FLAMING HELL HORSE, everything was out in the open.
"Also, I didn't ask before, but uh, how long have you and E-10...?"

"E-10? Oh, you mean Candace?" His face flushed as he hobbled along, "Um. N-not... not very long. I mean, we just met a few weeks ago." He hesitated, glancing back over to the blurry form of his team mate with a suddenly concerned expression, "Um. You and her aren't...? Er. I mean. I'm not... er... intruding on... er... I mean... I know you two were squad mates..."

"Oh, uh," Harrison started, for once looking as awkward as Jerry, "I'm not really interested in- uh,"
He crossed his arms as he walked.
"-her," he finished lamely. "You're okay. She's just a friend of mine. Some of my other squad mates said she killed me in that room, but they must have gotten the letter wrong or mixed up or," His expression lit up. "Hey. You were there, weren't you?"

"In... in that room?" It all seemed like such a dream now. A dream he had a long time ago. Memory fidgeted and danced around it. Candace still was troubled by it, he knew and was concerned and- "Wait. That's... that's right! You were the one with the two pendants, right? The one everyone wanted to um-" He cut off with a nervous laugh. "Um. F-fun times, then, huh? I don't remember it too well. Except er... getting my head cut off."

"Yeah. That was me. It wouldn't have been a problem if they hadn't sent out that text. Lot of good the pendants did us. If I'd known they could teleport me out of there... but you saw it, right? You saw who got me?" This could clear it up. Put any doubts out of his mind. ...And, if not, it was just something it was better to know.

"Er.... I don't quite... um. I think I unfortunately bit it pretty early on, unfortunately," He laughed nervously. "I... er... don't remember much of the room really. It... it all feels so long ago now." He was glad the subject was changed, at least. He rubbed his arms, giving a fresh shiver, "So um. Are we almost there?"

"I dunno," Harrison said, feeling thwarted. Didn't remember. Maybe he'd never know. Maybe it was better if he didn't. As for where the quartermaster's was, he hadn't exactly taken the time to wander the campus. Jerry wasn't a great navigator either, with the whole mostly blind thing.
"There anything else you need to get? Seems like there was something else I wanted, besides the stuff for B0nez..."

Most dangerous, yadda yadda, no golem... okay so basically it would be you vs. one long, dark tunnel full of hundreds of shadowlings. That's what it says here, shadowlings. And you have to make it down the tunnel to the portal at the end. Sorry. ...It's a good thing your weapon's like a really big, dangerous flashlight, huh?"

Harrison flipped his phone open again. "Let's see here. Princess Island. At the center of the island sits a princess..." He muttered, "It's up to you to build defenses... uh. I'm pretty sure we get to hang out on a beach and build forts."
