Iah let out a small smile after Amy leapt on to the deer. She was quite amazing he decided. After all the time she spent saying she was useless she was still able to tackle a deer and drive it off. Turning back to his gruesome task he whispered a small apology to the deer and quickly killed it. Another reason he mostly stuck with fish, for some odd reason it didn’t bother him to hunt them. Then again he ate what the hunters brought back; perhaps it was the whole notion of killing the animal himself.

“Deer is ready to eat” Iah spoke up looking down at the kill, some times he was glad he had dark fur; after all it tended to hide blood stains. Stepping back he waited to start eating until Amy had come back. "Next time though we should go fishing" he said with a smile.

Amy padded back, her tail draping across the ground. Licking her bloody teeth, she flicked her ear as she sat on her haunches, smiling where she believe Iah was.

"Good~" Padding closer, she stopped, head raising. "Fish? Fishing is...." Hard for her, she had to admit. However, she wouldn't mind... "If it's with you, I don't mind. I'm horrific at fishing. But I'd be glad to." Next time? Hmm.

“Well fishing isn’t that hard if you know the different ways on how to catch fish. There are the ways that most foxes go with but some times its dark or the weather doesn’t permit good visibility so you should always have some back up plans on how to get your self a meal. I wouldn’t mind teaching you some. After all most of the time fishing is a lot easier than having to ward off angry bulls.” Iah pointed out, and then realized he had mentioned something about next time. Ah well they where friends and tribe mates right… it was only inevitable that they would go hunting again.

Next time? Her heart seized before it could flutter, nearly choking. No. It meant nothing special, he was a tribe-mate, of course they'd bump into one another again. She should have learned by now, three men in her life, all of them leaving her. All of them had said lies to her. She was not going to do this stupid teenage crush again, she was not going to see something in nothing.

With a suddenly tense nod, Amy's head jerked to the side, away from Iah, her tail curling tightly around her small frame. "Okay." She lowly muttered, ears flicking when the passing of a bird alerted her.

Iah paused in his thinking and looked up at Amy. Had he said something wrong? When she had harshly moved away a string of worry laced through him. Perhaps he shouldn’t have mentioned fishing. Then again maybe it was being with him. He frowned at bit and shook his head. Well if she didn’t like being with him then why did she seek him out and then go hunting with him.
“We don’t have to if you don’t want to” Iah replied. Girls sad always seemed to get to him. He supposed it was being twins with a girl, when half of you was female you tended to pay more respect to those of the opposite gender. Then again if he was so close with Zillah why had he left, and why had she moved on to her own family, she even had kits with out ever bothering to inform him.

Shaking her head, Amy was silent in consideration. Though, couldn't she make friends with her tribe-mates? Wouldn't this be beneficial for how smoothly it was run? Them hunting together didn't always mean it had to be a "date". No. He must be hoping to train her a bit more, so while she waited for BCR's to arrive for her to care for she could still be useful in the meantime.

Yes. Of course.

"No, I want to." Her tone lightened, smiling nervously. "Thank you for offering to teach me, Iah."

Iah shook himself out of his thoughts and turned to look at Amy. She seemed to have an attitude shift so maybe she had worked out what was bothering her. Iah hoped she had. Placing the smile back on his face he nodded and wondered if he could find another one of those contraptions he often used to fish. After all it was much easier to use a net in the winter then wade into a freezing stream to catch your meal.

“Its no problem at all Amy” He said with a happy tone. Hanging out with Amy was different than with any of the other tribe members but he wasnt going to look into it too much. He didnt want something to develop in him that shouldnt and hurt her feelings.

Food. They had food... Dipping her head down, she began to eat, glancing up once. "What should we do? Unless you wish to depart?"

Her head raised briefly, attempting to try and mimic looking at the male. "Is there something you need to do? I can assist you. After we eat."

Hmmm was there anything he really had to do today? He had been spending most of the day sitting and watching the river but then again that wasn’t really productive and apparently it had been worrying others. There had to be something pressing right. The tribe was in a transition at the moment so nothing to big was going to happen other than when the Modeity graced them with their tribe mods he would make sure the tattoos healed well on everyone.
“Well I guess I could see if we have a good supply of different types of medicines and make up some of the ones we are low on. Although I had entertained the thought of working on my magic today, I have to practice to make sure I don’t get rusty and to work on stamina.” He mused in an answering type of voice

"Magic?" Her head raised in interest, tail flipping until it tapped the ground. Oh, right, Shaman's had slight magical abilities. Of course. Head lowering, she almost wished she could ask to see it. That in itself would be interesting, yet it was obvious she'd never be able to.

"I could assist you." She mumbled. "There isn't much to do as Carer without kits. The only other thing we can do is sit by an injured fox when a Shaman works on them. I need something productive for the tribe to do."

“They do more than just sit there and do nothing, although not being a shaman yourself I could see where you would think that. See in everything living thing is a form of energy. Carers emit more it than other foxes; it’s a kind energy which is why they are able to talk with Bcrs and or calm kits. Sure it seems like the Shaman is doing a lot as well but the carers are giving back things too.”

Iah nibbled on his lip and had a rather wild idea flash through his mind. You don’t have the right energy flow for being a shaman so I couldn’t teach you magic but I could probably walk you through learning how to feel it.” He replied. He didn’t think it had been done before but then shamans had children as well and some of them had to have magical skills and carer abilities. Hmmm interesting thoughts to ponder later.

At the mention of BCRs and children, her smile broke out, purring gently. Her tail wrapped around her, and then she winced at the memory that she wouldn't have kids. Ever. Hurt flashed against her face, and then suddenly nothing.

"Feel magic?" She whispered, ear flicking. What? "How is that?" She seemed intrigued, shifting gently to listen to him easier. Her ear twitched, again, and she directed her head to try and face him.

Iah smiled happy that he was able to help her cheer up again. He hated the fact that one of his good friends felt so crappy about her self. Sure she had a bit of a very rough start but others had rough starts too and they weren’t worthless. Then all of a sudden her demeanor changed again and Iah felt his spirits drop. Ugh what had he said, he needed to be way more careful

“Yep feel magic. It’s something all shamans go through before they even start their first spell. It’s a kind of warm feeling yet cool and tiggly all at the same time. Or at least it is to be. Normal foxes can feel it subconsciously they just don’t realize they are doing it.” He tried to explain.

Tail flicking, she smiled slightly at the idea of magic. "That's impressive. What spells can you do, Iah?" She asked. Her ear twitched, wondering what it was like to actually feel magic. She was able to help others heal faster by merely being there, but that didn't mean she could feel magic.

Ear twitching again, she decided to ask yet another question. "Could you teach me to feel magic?"

“Well nothing that impressive. I obviously know a few healing spells, and I can control the elements a bit. Its nothing too fancy, because obviously I’m not a modeity and it takes a lot of patience to learn and control a spell. Then again there are all sorts of different types of magic too. We could be here for hours if I really got into it”

“Hmm yeah, I think I can teach you to do it. Performing different magic now that might be a bit too complicated since you aren’t a shaman, but how to feel it when concentrating might not be too hard.”
