When the sandstorm grew even more intense, Anise's eyes started to sting and water so much she had to close her eyes. Periodically she squinted one eye open just a crack to try to get any idea of what was going on. Eventually the raging storm started to ebb, and she risked opening an eye a little wider to see what happened. Between the swirling sand still eddying around the room on wind that hadn't quiet died yet, and her eyes watering so much it looked like she was trying to look underwater, it was rather hard to make out what had happened. But she though she saw the figure of the Archen (or at least a colorful blur that had Archen's colors), siting still for once. She felt really bad for attacking the pokemon (never mind that it had attacked first), and automatically reached into her pocket for some healing herbs. Her hands found nothing but a few berries, and hoping they would do, she tossed gently in the Archen's direction as a sort of peace offering. As the berries flew, she blinked rapidly to clear her vision and belatedly realized one of them was a pokeball instead. POKEBALL GO! x2

Apolla 500 HP ((FFN- Apolla took the hit. I put it as a glancing blow to the side since it only took a 100 hp off.)) Alexa would have cheered for Apolla when the hit landed but sand was still coming through her scarf and she really didn't want to eat any. Her eyes had gotten some sand in them and she had them closed as they watered. Apolla was looking around for the Archen when the sand storm stopped. She walked over to Alexa and nudged her. "Vullllll vul vulpix."Alexa didn't rub her eyes instead got out a clean cloth from her bag and used that to clean them a bit. Once she was fairly clear of sand she opened her eyes and blinked. There was the troublesome pokemon in the middle of the room. Looks like someone got a really lucky shot in. Hesitating for a moment she grabbed a pokeball and threw it. If she caught it she would give it to Doyle. POKEBALL GO!

Rattata HP: [400/800]
Once the sandstorm stopped, Patrick opened his eyes and brushed himself off, grateful that the Archen was down for the count. He didn't think the rattata could survive a couple more blows, even if he was incredibly determined.
The officer took a few berries from his pocket and fed it to the rattata, who gobbled them up voraciously. The little guy had done some excellent work; he was surprised that he actually got in the blows that the rat pokemon did the damage that he did, to be honest.
x 4
After brushing himself off and raking a hand through his hair, he eyed the colorful bird and decided to take out a pokeball. Having a little dude by his side would prove useful towards his job, that is, if he ever got out of this place. With that thought in mind, he threw the pokeball at the little guy.

[ Pokémon: Erebos | HP: 700 ] (600? Not sure what the roll was for. xD)
Noticing the sandstorm die down and the Archen on the floor, Genesis sighed, glad that was finally over. Rummaging around, she chucked her Poké Ball at it, noting soon after that she wasn't the only one with the idea. POKEBALL GO! x1

Apolla 500 HP ((*blinks* lol I think it did! I'll make sure to note that the dice gods love mint chocolate chip ice cream. Also I am posting this so quickly since I have to go to bed now. I'll be back tomorrow sometime after noon. Night!)) Alexa was slightly surprised when the pokeball came flying back after capturing the Archen. She certainly wasn't expecting it with everyone else throwing one. She already knew what she was doing with the poor guy. Doyle would take good care of him. Of course she couldn't help herself when she spoke. "Alright.... I now dub thee Archie the Archen." The name just popped into her head and it stuck. Doyle will just have to deal with it. Looking around the room she shook her head. "Wow this is quite the mess..... I'm not sure if we're going to find anything else here. I certainly don't want to clean all of this up."

(Aww. Well there goes my berries. Congrats, blue! *makes mental note to visit the shrine of the dice gods soon*) Pokemon: Felix, 700 HP As the Archen disappeared into a pokeball (not hers since it returned to her empty), Anise set about taking care of herself and Felix. She pulled a bottle of water from her bag and poured a little in her eyes to rinse them, then did the save for Felix. "Everyone ok?" she asked the group at large. "If the sand's still irritating your eyes, wash them out if you can. Don't wipe them, it can grind the sand in further and do more damage. If you don't have any water, just blink a lot. Your tears will wash the sand out; that's what they're made for." Then she looked around the room. Wow, it was a real mess. She started wandering around the room a little, trying to decide if she should clean it up a little or just leave, before something else attacked.

((Congrats Blue~! <3)) Rattata HP: [800/800]
Patrick pocketed the unused poke ball, shrugging off the loss as a trivial thing, something that didn't need to fret over. It is what it is, and hey, he could always get another once he got the chance. He didn't need one right at the moment, after all. Though it would be a nice asset to have, something else to protect him from whatever else popped up.
Sighing and dusting himself off once again, ignoring the irritation in his eyes, he turned to the bookshelves that were toppled over. Damn Archen created such a mess. "Yeah, I guess," the officer replied to Alexa and Anise, grabbing the wooden piece of furniture and trying to put it back upright with a grunt. Crap, these things were heavier than they looked. What were they made out of, steel? Last time he checked, he wasn't so weak that he couldn't lift up a bookshelf by himself. "Hey, anyone want to help me out with this?"

Something good did come out of that crazy sandstorm. Where a bookcase used to stand, you now see 5 boxes. One has a symbol of helix. Another has a symbol of a feather. The third box had a symbol of a skull. Yet another had a symbol of an claw. The last box was blank but, you see the the following odd indent pattern: WHICH WILL YOU OPEN HURHURHUR By the way each of you can only open one. The blank box is locked but the other ones are easily openable - no peaking before choosing though. I'll let you guys know what you get after you all have chosen. First come first serve.

Rattata HP: [800/800]
Patrick looked towards his right, looking at the boxes that had captured his eye. Well, that was strange. He ditched the fallen wooden piece of furniture, instead walking towards the mysterious items in the room. Upon closer inspection, those cubes happened to have symbols inscribed on top of them.
"Hey guys, come have a look at this," he called, scratching his chin as he stared at what lay before him. Well, it didn't hurt to open one of them right? With that thought in mind, he chose to open up the feather box, curious as to what was inside.

((Congrats, Blue! 8D It's gonna be so awesome when Gen meets up with it later omg. XD))
[ Pokémon: Erebos | HP: 700 ]
Genesis retrieved the empty Poké Ball and pocketed it, making a mental note to throw faster next time. Erebos returned to her side along with it, panting lightly from the battle but overall unharmed.
"Good catch," she commented with a light nod towards Alexa, brushing sand off her clothes. She was about to add more when Anise spoke, and it was then that she finally realized that Anise wasn't a trainer like she had assumed, but a healer. How... convenient.
"Thanks," she called over to the healer, continuing her trend of ignoring Patrick for the moment. She proceeded to assess the damage when five boxes caught her eye. Unfortunately, Patrick was there already. Still, she wasn't going to leave the boxes for that.
She walked towards them, Erebos padding ahead of her to sniff at their caps warily. The boxes didn't seem to be locked if Patrick's actions were anything to judge by, but she found she couldn't open the last blank one. Frowning, she crouched and peered closer, recognition flickering in her eyes when the dotted indentations were close enough to read. Her fingers traced the symbols as she read aloud, "Engraved are memorials that refuse to be lost to time. Choose the earliest discovered and you will gain relief. Choose the latest discovered and you will gain a key. Choose the middle and you will find only pain." Well. That last part didn't sound promising.
"Nice work there, opening before reading," she jabbed in Patrick's direction, the demeanor she treated him with surprisingly different when compared to the others. It was not that she hated him (or, at least she thought she didn't, although admittedly, she felt a nuance of annoyance by his mere presence) -- it was simply that her disguise required a persona much more different from her own, especially with Erebos so close by, and a character that fluctuated quickly between emotions certainly met that criteria.
Turning away from the male, she contemplatively tapped her chin. She didn't want to open all of the non-middle boxes and risk any relationships she had forged (outside of Patrick's) by seeming greedy or assuming an authoritative role without any reason. Of course, this consideration was only one of necessity. If a single Archen could get them all killed by simply downing some shelves, it'd be best to have as many companions by her side as she could.
After a moment, she turned towards the skull box. To be honest, she didn't think she'd need any relief as much as the others, but that didn't mean she'd take one for the team, either, and the supposed key box had already been claimed. She lingered for a while longer, wondering if the skull would be considered a middle and hoping it wouldn't be. And then, with a sudden, decisive flick of her fingers, she opened the lid and cautiously stepped back, Erebos standing protectively by her side.mewrose Sorry for the wall. Pokemon: Felix, 700 HP Anise noticed her companions gathered around some boxes and headed over in time to hear Genesis's translation. She stared at the boxes, wondering what the symbols on them meant and how they were supposed to relate to the puzzle. Two of them were being opened already, which left her two choices. She resorted to a silent round of eenie-meenie-miney-moe which pointed her towards the Helix box. She wavered for a moment, wondering if it was really a good idea to let chance pick and wondering if it was the one that brought pain. Maybe she should switch? But she had no idea so she decided to stick with it and went over to open the Helix box.
