BasiWolff Robayn I was just thinking... if we have a tektek that we love for our characters but can't afford, then we could still use the tektek image in a posting style. Our own avatars would be dressed similar, but the tektek would be the IC outfit.. that way we don't necessarily need to worry about affording it. That's true. I try to keep things at a low-ish price... 5M ish (oh my god, it's awful that I consider that reasonable... stupid inflation. What happened to 30K being comfortable and 1M unheard of?) Even so, getting 5M without blowing it on other stuff is... challenging. Unfortunately, there aren't too many options for bard characters. Luckily, all are fairly affordable. Now, if I were a jester... sweatdrop
Right now I'm considering a daytime avatar and a nighttime avatar. For the two, I'll need about 3M, plus whatever hair is. Still can't decide on a hair. If someone else finds hair that looks good under a poofy hat, tell me, and that'll be the hair I use. Stupid hair being a pain... I actually found one I like, but it makes my poor avatar look like a girl. Again.
By the way, if anyone wants to browse through my tekteks, my "good" tag is Forumcat, and my "other" or "in progress tag is BasiWolff. There is overlap.I will see what I can find next time I'm tektek'ing 3nodding It might be hard, though, because I like male avatars that look a bit feminine so if I do find something you might think it looks too much like a girl, too... I'll still post anything I think looks good~

That's the hair I'm using right now. Also, I like that hat. I've never seen it before.
As for the eyes thing, I've been looking through eyes, but the attractive male eyes tend to be fairly androgynous, so I'm just going to let him be very feminine. Pretty minstrel shall be very pretty. Here's where I'm at with clothing planning.
They aren't particularly expensive, either, so I'm probably going to do both, one for morning and one for evening. Do you have a personal favorite hair? I'm really not caring too much right now.

Well, I have a queen-ish avatar... I was playing with the avatar you posted.

And one that's a little more eveningwear-like.

I like the Ravenwood Manor and the Antique Shop hair the best.. If you want, you can check out the "eloquent" set in tektek. It's a 'minstrel' outfit that gaia released a long, long time ago and the tunic is still very nice. The shoes can be a bit awkward depending on what pants you pair it with... bit it occurs to me that the minstrel will likely have thinner legs than muscular, so maybe there's an item with a more appropriate bottom for the bard. Like: Granted, the Mark of Courage and Steamgear Desperado are not period accurate, and the Rogue Narok is more medi-fant than medieval... but that can be forgiven depending on the rest of the outfit, sometimes even masked.
