The cat nodded, giving in. It seemed that it was going to take a little more positive reinforcement before Athene accepted how powerful and special he was. If the benefit of teamwork was what the senshi took away from this fight, that was a great result, he couldn't argue with it. He'd just hoped to see some dazzling self-confidence after their beaded victory. Then the rest of the statement sank in, and his muck-encrusted fur bristled again.

"A risk? No, I was just buying you time!"

But with the adreneline wearing off, he thought about how his actions must have looked to the poor senshi. And just a little bit about how close those claws had gotten - with fur as short as his, any haircut was too close. He couldn't honestly say he'd have done it any differently if he got another chance, but he maybe should have put a bit more effort into not worrying such an inexperienced senshi! He rubbed an apologetic (though dirty) forehead against the boy's leg, fixing his aura in his mind, so he'd recognise the senshi in the future. "It all turned out okay. Safe trip home, Sailor Athene.
