Jasmine sat there, for a good few minutes.
There before her... she took the egg... and realised now with one broken arm, she couldn't hold them both.
She bit her lip and cried. She cried as she took off her cloak, placing it round the two eggs like a nesting ground, and there had to wonder, if she could have done something, if she could have done anything, if she could have recalled the Gliscor somehow amid the chaos.
She hadn't stood a chance.
That month all alone, all that training Regal gave her, and this was the result, beaten by Spiritomb, exiled from the island by face of death, and now, two of her pokémon beaten to this state, while Burnout...
Burnout had been beaten three times, he hadn't won once.
She thought of the Spinarak clan, the Joltik, and how through it all, she had been the cause of it all, she punched the cracked floor and didn't care if she felt the pain or not, how strong did she have to become to stop all of this?
How weak and pitiful was she truly?
Was THIS what all her pokémon would be fated to feel, when death would come to them too?
She couldn't wallow for long, she didn't have the luxury, as she'd look back to the storeman, for all that, she looked at the shelves, broken bottles, potions, smashed discs and trashed items.
It had been all an exercise in futility and destruction, nothing more.
And while she wondered still, about her future, if there was a point to continuing or not, she took a sharp piece of shrapnel from one shelf, and would cut the man free, even if she did had to struggle on that crutch.
"I'm sorry."
She spoke as the blindfold came off and he could see his store.
"I tried to get rid of them."
She returned to the batch of eggs on the floor, without her cloak, he could see just how torn up she was herself, she looked at the eggs sitting there, "...But I wasn't strong enough to stop them from doing what they wanted here."
Team Mixer. Tournament.
She hadn't beat a single pokémon.
Suddenly, she was considering whether or not to turn in Lindbergh's egg... just tell the Professor to send her to the mines after all.
Seeing her own death sounded a lot better than seeing the death of every other pokémon she took.

The Store manager was glad to be released as his eyes narrowed at her words.
"Cowards, they got to you before you ...become fully in your own."
He said the words with such certainty that he wasn't entire sure that Jasmine heard him.
"Don't look like that, that is what they are suppose to do." "Teach you the importance of a team, and how bad you do when you are on your own." "It's a lesson that the academy as a whole had to learn, but they were suppose to wait until you at least was given your own means of defense before doing this."
The man declares openly.
It would seem that despite what Jasmine might have thought earlier the shop keeper was in on this as he looked at his stash of broken things with a sneer that would make anyone back away.
"Humph, you got a bad shake lass." "So, see your professor before you let your mind be overthrown by such hopelessness."
"This is what the academy ...what the organization itself had to deal with the first time. The knowledge, that everything we had done, everything put into place was for nothing."
"Now, it's time to grow stronger."
The man told her as he would start to gather up those items that were still usable from the wreckage of broken materials.

Jasmine seemed lost in everything, if the man was admitting out loud his part in this to her, then she wasn't getting it, she just numbly reached down and tried to pick up a few broken items.
A hand landed on a TM, Thunder Wave.
Damned if that wouldn't have came in handy earlier.
She placed it reluctantly on the counter, if she was more daring, or maybe less down on herself right now, she might have risked snatching it up.
Not as if she had any pokémon left who could use the move.
"I'll come back and check in soon, I should see if I'll be in any more pieces after she's done with me."
She wasn't sure she knew how to do it or not, but taking the cloak, with both eggs, and struggling a little, she managed to sandwich it, holding the cloak cradled into the sling on her arm, it bulged very obviously with the load, but right now, she couldn't care less.
She just turned and nodded to the clerk, replacing her hat.
"I'm sorry I caused you this much trouble... Is there anything I can do to repay it?"

"Sure, come back sometimes."
The man would declares with a faint smile. He knew the sight of hurt when he saw one ...as he would simply watch her leave after that.
That was fate some times.

She would nod, and then, with that, and with a good deal of regret... made her way slowly outside, nodding, barely managing a smile in return.
So much time she had spent making herself a stronger person... and back, back she had went.
Who would the girl be that met the Professor in the class?
The Jasmine who had spent a month with Regal trying to be a better girl, or the girl who had been there a month previous, who was too self conscious to raise her head to look at an adult...

Scratching his head slightly Raven would walk through the door. He'd lost two of his Pokemon...they were back now...but that didn't change the fact of what had happened. He'd paid for his mistake. He knew when defeat was staring him in the face. It had practically been tangible; but still he had foolishly pressed on. What he did didn't take strength...it took foolishness.
Sometimes it took the most strength to put down ones weapon rather then lift it overhead....
Shaking his head briefly the child would proceed to the counter, reaching for his coin even as he came to a halt "I'd like 3 Pokeballs and 5 Potions please" He said, gesturing the numbers as he spoke them by raising the appropriate number of fingers on one hand. The other hand now held the pouch containing his money, something gripped firmly until he heard the price.

The man huffed at bit. His shop was a wreck with things thrown around and smashed and broken. He hadn't expected any customers until he had a chance to clean up, but it would seem that it was taking much longer than he had plan as he looked over his shoulder at Raven. A broom in his hand as he swept away more glass into a dust pan.
"That will be 800gold."
The man told him ....even as he looked at shelves for the items in question. Putting his boom against the counter, he could only hope he actually had what Raven was asking as he waited for some sort of confirmation of his price.

Nodding briefly, Raven would reach into the pouch and remove the requested coin...which in this particular case was nearly all of it. Placing 800 upon the counter, 100 was left jingling in his pouch. Not exactly a hefty sum, but it would do in a pinch. One never knew when even the smallest quantity of money would be of use.
Once the payment was properly arranged before the man, the child would allow his gaze to trail around the room. The place was in shambles; either from the hooligans that had been here, or the battle which had ensued soon after. A battle he had not taken part in.
His decision had been wise in his own mind. One needed to pick their battles...but that didn't mean there wasn't still opportunity to help the man in other ways. "Could you use any help with the cleaning?" Raven asked somewhat abruptly, though his voice remained level and calm.

"Sorry, I don't take help from anyone."
The man would reply quite tartly as he gather the items and return with them. The last of his supply of potions, he would have to get another set shipped.
"Though, I would be willing to pay you for your services."
He would add quickly before Raven thought to leave. He would hold out his hand for the gold even as he held the bag with all the other items in it.
"Those shelves were made of a special wood that could only be found in the Yellow forest, IF you can get me that, I will pay you 400 gold up front for it. Though I guess, that is a bit out of your territory."
The man would declares with a bit of sigh.

For a moment Raven would look curiously at the man. It had nothing to do with the request, but rather a question dwelling deep in his mind...why was it Store Clerks always had to be handed the money? Was there some sort of taboo against taking the coin once placed on the counter?
Shaking the thoughts away, though for once not noticeably shaking his head, Raven would take the handful of coin off the counter and hand it to the man, taking the items with his other hand at the same time.
"I'd happily take the request" Raven would state as he placed the items in the appropriate pouches on the back of his belt, hidden beneath his cloak "Simply tell me how to find the wood and how to get to the forest." Well it wasn't like he didn't have some free time anyway. Besides this idea of a forest seemed rather useful. He needed either a Water-Type or a second Flying-Type to better balance his team. Something not weak to Fire or Fighting-Types.
Though really those were simply the ideal. Something resistant to at least one of his two biggest weaknesses. Really just about anything not weak to open flame or a fist would do....

"It's not a hard place to find." "You simply exit the academy and keep going north ...you will either run into the forest or into the mountains, and I promise you won't like them mountains too much ...so stick to the forest."
The man would declare openly. He was actually getting a bit excited about the idea that someone was going to take him up on the offer as he smiles dangerously at him.
"But be careful, the yellow forest has it's own share of nasties." "And good luck, oh before I let you go. The wood you are looking for is a sort of pink tree in the midst of the forest ...that tree is the best wood for shelves ....better than my first choice, because it can stand up to a fight."
"And, happy hunting."
He would finally decide he had said enough and was more than willing to let Raven go with just that.

A Pink Tree....well that certainly couldn't be terribly hard to find...and odds were he had the perfect Pokemon to bring it back. Though it would also mean the Steelix would be in no position to battle. No matter, Crowe and Requiem would need the practice anyway. He had no intention of using Genn save for the worst case scenario...
"Go North. Avoid the Mountains. Pink Tree" Raven stated, repeating what he considered the important parts before nodding faintly "Very well. I shall see you upon my return then."
With that Raven would depart. It would seem he had some business to attend to...[Exiting to Yellow Forest]

As Jasmine would enter, she would in company, Jasmine atop her Skarmory and Burnout hovering behind, still invisible, she'd look around the mess... a mess she'd helped create, or at least, hadn't managed to stop.
So here she was, she took a deep breath.
"Hello."
"I came back to check in like I said I would, I wanted to see you were okay... after... yesterday and all..."
"And, I wanted to see, if you were open for business still? I... kind of need something special."
"Something... to make me more... presentable." She cleared her throat a little self-conscious at the request.
Then again, whatever could possibly make HER more presentable certainly had to cost a lot more than 72 coins...

The man actually smiled at the sight of the girl. It seems she hadn't broken in two after that ..after all.
"I see no reason why I can't help you out." "We are still in business, though we may be short a few items. So, what exactly are you in the market for?"
The man would ask as he waits for Jasmine's answer.

((Wheee, need to switch to laptop soon, please ignore monotonous black for a post or two, lol))
Jasmine half-smiled, "I had hoped to impress my Professor with a Gliscor and other powerful Pokemon upon arriving back, but, seeing as of yesterday, that... May be a long while to come."
She just tried to imagine, having to start from scratch once more with both, Claudamdas and Lindbergh, how long it would be like this once again...
"And, she wants me presentable. I... Don't have much sense in fashion or looks... I was hoping you could recommend something that might make... This," She indicated all of herself, "A little easier to look at?"
