Sugilite blinked once in surprise as she was handed the starseed. He didn't want to go deliver it himself? She shrugged inwardly and pocketed it, along with the energy. She always enjoyed presenting her prizes, and today would be double the enjoyment. Of course, if asked she'd tell them that she wasn't the one who pulled the starseed, but if the officer on duty assumed it was her, well, that was their mistake.
"Certainly, certainly. I need to go there anyway to hand in the energy, don't want to loose it after all our hard work. Well, I suppose best of luck to you for tonight?"
The question was almost rhetorical, but maybe there was a chance he'd change his mind and come with her. She paused, one hand on the front door of the shelter, glancing back at him. The bodies she had drained lay where they fell, one half in a puddle of his own vomit, now cooling. It would be amusing to watch them coming to, she imagined, as they slowly realized that one person there wasn't ever going to wake up. And realizing that it could have easily been them. Eager to head off and deliver her prize, she still hesitated, waiting for a reply.

"I can't get there myself and I don't much care to call for a trip down there." A simple shrug as he gave his reason, it was true but it wasn't the main reason. Let people think it was something she'd done, it didn't bother him to be honest. He wanted the distance anyway. The fewer people who knew the better in his mind.
"I normally have someone else deliver it anyway, it's rare that I go with Painite." Once he could go on his own he would, no way around that. He'd rather go on his own and slip in and out and maybe wander about headquarters on his own. It was just that down there he felt the need to be quite and not talk, and with other people he felt odd not talking.
"Yes, and the best to you as well. I do hope we can go out more often, we can do better hauls that way." A nodding of his head. "Have a good evening Sugilite." The poor people, it would be on the news by nights end. The poor girl and her family. He'd avoid watching it on the online news when he got home.
