Mind links? This was kind of weird... Arrien never really pretended to understand magic, being of a very scientific, hard-facts bent, but if it could find her kid, she was okay by it. "... Well?" She asked anxiously, watching Aylana with unhidden anticipation.

The tackle is successful; Kochi manages to grab two of the creature's legs, one on each side, and hangs from them like handlebars as the spider hisses again in distress. Now that she's close enough, she can see that it uses webbing, secreted from each foot, to cling to the ceiling.

They are near the end of the hallway, before it turns to lead into the Salle; in the corner is a clutch of translucent eggs, wrapped up in webbing and numbering in the thousands.

The spider is unable to support both their weights, and desperately attempts to snap at her, stumbling backwards a little in hopes this would shake her off. It doesn't. The two legs Kochi has grabbed ahold of snap off, leaving her to fall to floor while clear liquid drips atop of her from the wounds. The spider howls and eventually drops to the floor beside her, flailing and squirming as it attempts to balance on far less legs and make a break for the walls.

Aylana can sense Lethe there; where, however, is less clear. The threads that bind the Fa'e seem lost here, tangled into something far more sinister. She does sense something else, however: a variety of other presences that aren't so much presences as conspicuous lackings of them. The nearest one seems to be a bit behind her -- and very, very near.

Kochi was delighted when she got a hold on the spider. Fortunately for the spider, Kochi didn't notice the wierd sticky feet as she was too focused on the notion of keeping latched onto it's legs. Before she could make a grab for some more, though, the damn thing was snapping at her and she had to keep her attention on avoiding it and sadly didn't get a change to grab a hold of some more, although the notion of making a go at tearing up it's stomach with her feet did cross her mind.

When Kochi fell, though, she was less then pleased. She was sensible to notice something other then licking up whatever deranged type of blood the spiders legs offered to her, that and it's open wounds dripped down. There was something in the corner, she could barely see it with her shitty a** eyes, but they smelled like the spider, but not. In the corner. Before the creature had a chance to get back to the wall, Kochi didn't actually go for the wounded animal, it sounded like much more fun to do it this way anyways. "Wie du mir, so ich dir, Weibchen!"

The german woman crouched down and in one fluid motion sprung herself up onto the wall, just below the eggs. The impacted force allowed her to dig her claws into the surface and hold herself, lashing her tail below herself incase that b*****d spider tried to go for her legs. A hand stretched out to gently pluck onto of the eggs, cackling wildly as she CRUSHED it between two fingers.

Aylana frowns as she was able to connect with Lethe's mind, but locating her was another story. As she tries to dig deep she felt herself not able to reach any further then what she got. Pulling back she stops arching a brow as she felt others close by.

Turning she opens her eyes peering into the darkness "Someone is close by, very close. But I can't figure out who. Lethe I can't locate something is blocking me from getting to her." shaking her head she keeps watching the darkness in front of her.

"Well, maybe this someone can get us going in the right direction, then," Arrien piped up. Any straw was one that she would grasp at, right now; and, without anything else to reach at, this was the one she was intent to get. "Lead on!"

The spider, lethargically and jerkily, begins to make its way in the opposite direction, climbing the adjacent wall and scaling it horizontally, leaving trails of clear blood in its wake.

The egg, the size of Kochi's hand, bursts easily, showering thick, jelly-like goo over its surroundings. Its contents drops to the floor, landing in a puddle and twitching and spasming, limbs flailing uncontrollably. It is, oddly enough, not shaped like a spider but like.. a human baby?

It lets out a hoarse rasp, eyelids closing rapidly over partially-formed eyes. Its feet lash at nothing as it wheezes and wheezes until it stops completely and lies perfectly still.

Above Kochi, each of the eggs suddenly seem to shift, as if they were suddenly a thousand little eyes all staring at the nightwalker.

The lion-esque fa'e, finally coming to his senses, was not pleased. His lungs were fine now, and he had come to accept that he was not obeying gravity. And that his mom was fighting a giant spider. Listening to the conversation, Morty cried out when they were about to leave. "Nono, don't leave me here!" He scrambled to his feet and hurried over to Arrien. Despite the fact that this gaurdian was here, she was busy, and obviously not paying much attention to him right now. Besides, he could be better used in finding this girls daughter.

"ÜBERWÄLTIGEND!" Her attention was now gone from that spider. It was unimportant and injured, she could do away with it if she wanted or if it posed a problem. Unlike the doors, it was something she knew how to kill. Something else she knew how to kill and had no problems with killing, however, were these human babies in eggs. She herself had never experienced humanity and had done much worse things in the past. Besides, her logic directed her in that this place was bad, and that nothing good was going to come from a collection of presumably human babies that were being cared for by a spider.

And if they were indeed all good and innocent? Oh well. It wasn't as though her soul was going to take any damage from this. She weaseled over to grab one hand onto the ceiling and both feet latched onto the wall, so that she was all crouched up around the plethora of eggs. Her free hand went to grab an one of the shiny, gooey sacks and turn to HURL it at their mother. This act in itself sent Kochi into a fit of laughter which nearly caused her to fall off of her perch, but when she recovered she in turned began to shove the eggs down her mouth and gnash them up nicely with her teeth before swallowing.

The Egg Cluster is not pleased.

Immediately after the removal of another of their brethen they begin to move, squirming against their prisons and straining through the thin shells of the eggs. Slowly, little white forms begin emerging, limbs bursting through the shells. They grasp for her, ineffectual on their own, but the sheer number of them is enough to effectively grab hold of the woman and pull her into the center of the ruined, gooey eggs.

Even the flesh she eats protests, squirming in her mouth as the bodies separate into pieces, disembodied hands scratching her throat and insides with soft, tiny nails.

When they are done, she is in one of the upstairs bathrooms, dripping wet with nail imprints all along her arms.

Looking up at Morty then the lady she nods "Alright, but if we go back this way it means heading back to those doors that tried to eat us. But someone is back that way. I'll leave the choice up to you seeing as your the lady with the child missing." looking back down she bites her bottom lip trying to sort out all the different mind links.

Arrien openly blanched. The doors again? She didn't want to have to fight the doors! Those things were ******** FREAKY!

"... Well, uh... I guess if we have that one chick with us, we could take the doors...." She said nervously, taking a look around. "... Hey... wait. Wasn't she here just a second ago, messing with that spider thing...?"

She can feel the presence of the following people: the many, many, tiny presences of the babies of the egg cluster on the other side of the hallway, Lethe, Yanisin, Nima, Kumoru, Amaris, Mortimer, Arrien, Seung, and Cerena (and, of course, her own unborn children.) She also feels seven other indescribable presences; the one that seems to be near (but has not stirred, perhaps it is waiting for something?), and four others that feel on the same floor but farther away. The last one cannot be detected yet.

Of the four, only two are active; two lead back to the common room area, though they don't seem to be moving at all. One is further past the common room, to the left, and is very active. The two to her right also seem inactive, and one has a more mechanical feel than the other.

It is odd that she can detect the locations of the five 'spectrals' more easily than any of her own Fa'e kin, but they seem to be (or be part of) the force disrupting her telepathic abilities.

Wincing she placed her hands on her temples shaking her head "Way to many links, seven in which I don't know." closing her eyes she frowns "Yani is in front of me from what I can sense, just where I am not sure." she points towards the direction in which she came from "But then there are those I don't know also that way. Two are not active from what I can sense. One is very active though, its beyond the common room." she pauses again breathing slowly as she turns slowly.

Turning slowly to her right she bites her bottom lip again "There are two more that way, but they are also inactive. One has a mechanical feel to it. A few links I know are that way, but none of the children again. Any of the fa'e I can't sense where they are. They are still in the building though that much I can gather." opening her eyes she frowns.

Looking up she bites her lip for a moment "As long as I can detect the unseen ones I think we have an advantage. Our best bet is to move forward. Maybe we'll locate the others in the process." tunring she holds her hand out in front of her watching her hand.

It doesn't take long for her to form a small light orb. Looking up she arches a brow looking around for the woman Arri had asked about. When she see she is missing she frowns, okay this was just getting to freaky to her now. People were disappearing left and right.

Aylana said a lot. Arrien only heard one word of it.

"... Y... Yani?" The woman's eyes went wide, and for a good few seconds, she fell completely silent. When she spoke again, it was water spilling over a dam.

"No. No, no, no. Give me a monster. Give me a spider, give me a werewolf, give me a ******** Rider of the Apocalypse, but do NOT give me Yani!" Frantic, Arrien paced a quick few steps on teh ceiling. "... He's gonna kill me. He's gonna ******** skin me alive, leave my bones for the monsters, and nail me above the door. Oh, God, I am dead dead DEAD... ******** it and screw this!" Her mind suddenly made, the Jack-of-all-Trades set her attention down the hallway and started marching. Over her shoulder, she instructed Lana- "If you see him, tell him I'm looking for his daughter and he can ******** stuff it before he so much as gets started! And you-" she turned to point at Morty, still walking backwards in the general direction of the western staircase (that being very easy for her to reach from the ceiling, of course)- "you coming with me, or not?"

Yani was here? Cerena didn't remember anyone with that name, but knew better than to ask Arrien. "I'm coming too, Arri! She might be with Lethe. Probably will be with Lethe," she corrected herself nervously, though it was hard to stay positive when the whole house seemed determined to eat her.

"Y..you are Aylana, right?" Cerena used Arrien's distraction with Morty as a chance to turn and address the top of the older woman's head, pushing together her forefingers hesitantly. "I think you should be careful, if you're not coming with us, wherever we're going. We need to find the kids and get out of here, but you..." Her eyes strayed up to the Fa'e's obviously pregnant stomach. "You need to be careful, who knows what effect this will have on your baby..."
