 ~Sonata
It was obvious to anyone with eyes that Sonata's mind was wandering off the conversation topic at hand; the innocent longings of these few Pokemon who held position amongst the guilds bringing up deeper troubles for the Absol.
"Don't you sometimes wish that we weren't so constricted by our titles?.."
Her words were spoken aloud to no one in particular, though it would have more use to those in her immediate vicinity if heard.
"I mean, we're constantly under surveillance, watched, and looked up to... It's just too much pressure to constantly be worrying if we're always making the right choices or not."
She outwardly expressed her worries through speech, unsure what kind of solution she was even looking for. She loved her position in her guild. She loved being with Frost and aiding his work and she would never give up such a title.

Lynne yelped and flinched back, barely managing to get out of the way of a set of claws he was all too familiar with and well used to the pain they were able to cause. Imagining them sweeping across his face was enough to silence his inner worries.
"See? I don't need as much attention as I get to keep me in line... All I need is you."
He spoke, cocking his head back towards Diane after the initial fear of being attacked had subsided, and smiled an innocent smile. As they had been walking and conversing this entire time, it wasn't long before the duo found themselves at the end of the queue for the earlier mentioned roller coaster that was a promised as an experience for the Deerling. Though not spoken, as they progressed forward it was rather obvious, like in the sense of shaking legs obvious, that Lynne was scared out of his wits already.

Cedric maintained his pace just a few steps in front of the Umbreon. He was, for the most part, just as confused as she was. He hadn't been expecting this to say the least. Much like her, he didn't really have a clue as to what was actually going on though unlike her he actually knew enough to make a guess or two.
"No, it's not the guild." Cedric glanced around quickly at the various arms and limbs of the individuals present. "But a lot of these people are guild members."
Badges were present on a good number of people here and there. It wasn't everyone, but there was a good chance the people who weren't wearing them simply hadn't brought them. Chances were just about everyone here was a guild member or was related to a guild member at the very least.
"I think the guilds are throwing... a festival?"
The term seemed to roll off of the Persian's tongue with a measure of unfamiliarity. He had never been to a festival before... this was something new and foreign to him.

 AnuesAnues continued on idly with the little Water type until he was addressed. His inquiry made the Gardevoir give a puzzled blink before looking off in the direction Phione pointed in, not giving a response for some time. He honestly didn’t know what it was. Such buildings were common this time of year around society, but Anues’ upbringing made him rather ignorant. Alice would know, he didn’t though. “I’m not sure what it is.” His tone was quiet, though tinted with a sense of curiosity. He watched the strange white Pikachu run over to it before fleeing, and his ears twitched at the sound of the distant scream that came from the building. The event didn’t jog the Psychic’s memory at all. He was honestly clueless.
Despite the Pikachu’s panicked response, Anues simply shrugged it off. “If you want to see, we’d might as well. Feel free to change your mind.” He began his approach toward the building with his end response to Phione. If it was an issue of fear, he himself wasn’t bothered at all. It was Phione he was stuck caring for now, but he was a strange child. Anues somewhat doubted whatever it was would even bother him((Feel free to make a topic? Your call. Would probably be far more creative than whatever intro I could do ;_; *overly technical*))

    Skye & Frost & Nikolas & Kenna & Kaiyou & IstasFrost shrugged, his expression reasonably blank. His eyes seemed to darken with sad memories, however, as only the two females remaining beside him could see. He wouldn't even be having this conversation, if his uncle hadn't been murdered. Still, this was a time for celebration; sadness and old memories had no place here.
The Arcanine glanced behind him, silent for a moment, and spotted Nikolas running up behind them, floating a massive bag of goodies behind him. "...So much for a proper image." the Arcanine chuckled. "I think he might have the right idea, though. We might as well enjoy ourselves, while we're here. Just be on your best behavior."
His last words were directed at Kenna, who jokingly raised her paw to her chest, pretending to look offended. "Who, me?"
"Go steal some of Nik's candy, and give it away or something." The guildmaster's eyes sparkled with amusement at the idea. He already had a little trail of children looking for a fallen treat, or two.
The snickering Ninetales trotted off, moving back to where Nikolas floated.
This left Frost alone with Sonata, and the massive canine smiled warmly. "Shall we?"

Sonata kept up her blank faced disposition as her guildmaster spoke to her collective with an air of a superior. It wasn't necessarily anything inappropriate if you were practically being ordered to enjoy yourself, right? Sonata shrugged off the words, assuming them as being nothing more than talk, that at least was her train of thought until, without notice, she found herself alone with Frost. The rest of her team having dispersed on command. Her dark eyes looked up at the Arcanine, lined with confusion and interest as if she had just been snapped back into reality. In this short moment she reminisced of a time she was once, at the very least, eye level with the blue colored canine, but that was long since passed obviously.
"I...Uhm...Sure. I'd be delighted to accompany you."
She stuttered at first, finding herself caught up on her own words. This wasn't exactly what she had in mind when she had originally first spoken out but she wasn't necessarily complaining either. The Absol, herself, rarely had a moment alone with her guildmaster like this when all was taken into consideration; the two often contently occupied by work and whatnot.

Team Semper Fi headed towards the social area. Both were tired and in need of some snackage. Little Aku kept the egg close, but this meant she had to walk a lot slower than normal.
"What do you think is inside?"
Jack looked at the egg. By the looks of it, it gave off an electric feel. Other than that he had no clue. Perhaps that's why Aku liked it too, all attracted to the electricity. He gave a small shrug before reaching up to get them a plate of fried dough. When he turned around, he thought Aku was violently shaking the egg. Then he realized it was just hatching.
"Put it down!"
He ran over to Aku to try and grab the egg away, but it was too late. The egg shook and shook, until it finally cracked and had a mini explosion of sparks and egg pieces. Aku closed her eyes so no sharp egg pieces would harm her too badly. She soon felt sparks around her paws and cracked open an eye. What she saw was surprising. It was an elekid. The right colors but not in the right places. It was pretty big, and Aku wondered how it had fit in that egg. She gave it a warm nuzzle, and looked brightly up at Jack.
"What should we name it?" Edit: Aku had Alfie in mind, but "Alfie" had Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All in mind. Stormy for short.

The Pichu continued to stare in silence as Kai dropped down to be at eye level with him. He allowed his attention to shift to the other Pichu in the Swampert's arms before noting she also held one of those treats! Frantically the little mouse pointed toward the Icecream in Snowy's paws and then back to the icecream stand that was far taller than he could reach. Surely Kai would get the idea at that point. It was at that point he noted the other Pichu more carefully and he gingerly cocked his head to the side at her in confusion. She looked lke him, but different colors. Curious the tiny orange and blue mouse crawled up onto Kai's arm so he could peer down at the white Pichu. "Hi!" Came the peppy greeting, a paw raised in a wave.
Ivy nodded ecstatically and shifted to allow her cousin more room on the seat, the two Eclipse family members basked in the comfortable silence for a few moments as the carriage slowly, but surely, rocked up to the tip top of the ferris wheel. The Glaceon's eyes lit up as she gazed through the glass, the windows fogging from her breath as she pressed her face against the pane. The lights of the festival were tiny dots below, glittering jewels on a black sheet. She could barely make anything out in the dark but the lights were enough. From the distance she thought she could see the lights of the guild in the distance. Wriggling happily, the ice type pointed off in various directions and quickly stuttered off some names. The marketplace, the boundary lands...etc...etc....
"It is nice to have you back, cousin." The Glaceon finally stated, ending her ramblings with a sincere smile.
Serenade stepped out from behind the Persian and glanced around cautiously. She was still wary, but it was slowly being replaced with an almost awestruck sense of being overwhelmed. The lights, the sounds, it was scary but exciting and she felt her heart thumping in anticipation as she stepped up to stand next to the feline.
"Could we..." She started, trying not to sound too enthused, "...stay for a bit?"
It was, perhaps, a bit childish considering her age but she'd never been to a festival of this kind. They had a sorta festival back home, but that was for evolution ceremonies mostly...and it was quite boring.

Cedric glanced over at the Umbreon as she took a few steps forward, taking the moment to get a sense of what she was thinking.
Even before Serenade said a word, he already knew what she wanted. She was incredibly transparent... she was trying not to be, but she was.
Cedric put on a half-smile to hide his embarrassment that was probably just about as transparent as the Umbreon's efforts to hide her excitement.
"That'd be fine. If it's a guild event I think most of this should be complimentary, so we won't need to pay anything."
He wasn't sure if he'd be able to get whatever kind of in-house currency the festival was using though... chances are you needed to provide proof of your affiliation to get that and he wasn't a guild member anymore. He still had his old badge, but it was locked up in a safety deposit box back in the city along with Alex's and James'. The Mightyena had been good enough to offer to rent one out for any little nick-knacks either of them picked up since the Persian and Houndoom were both without permanent residences.
You never knew, though. Guild security wasn't the most "uptight" so to speak.
Well, whatever. He wasn't nearly as excited as Serenade seemed to be but it seemed interesting and it would probably be a fun way to kill time.

Aku looked over at Jack and their new team member, what was already bigger than them. They'd have to make up a place in their room for him to sleep. All she could hope was that he'd adjust to the night life, and not ruin their things. He seemed like the curious and destructive type. And Aku would not be wrong about this. It wouldn't take long before Stormy would take off and try to destroy some food stands with his flailing arms.
"Say, Jack, while we're here we should do an attraction! Like the haunted house!"
Jack scoffed,
"Now why would you wanna go and do something like that? Sounds like a right waste of time to me."
Jack wanted nothing more than to head into the Haunted House with his partner, have her freaking out and clinging to him for dear life. But they had just gotten a new member, hatched from an egg nonetheless. Had they brought Stormy into the Haunted House, he knew they'd be getting much more than they had bargained for.

( Red & Blue & The Raven & Jay )Jay yawned, turning his head so that it was right next to Red. "Why did you call me here if all we're gonna do is sit and wait! I'm booooored!" Red glared down at him, "Hush. I'm waiting for Blue to get here" Jay straightened up, "Whats so damn important anyways that I had to take off my costume - which is totally awesome by the way - to sit down here with you?"
Red flicked her ear, turning in her chair to face the counter (yes its a spinny stool, wheeee!). In front of her were four cupcakes, each with a different color of sprinkles. All seemed fine except that one there on the side, the one with the blue sprinkles on it. It smelled funny, the Zorua could tell that from a single sniff. He pointed at it with a paw, "That ones spoiled" Red gave him another glare, "Not a word. You won't say anything about that perfectly normal cupcake because it is perfectly normal and there is nothing strange about it" she hissed. He spun in his chair so he was facing away from them again, "...okay then. Something suspicious is totally not happening."
A few minutes passed before blue finally came, a purple Piplup waddling close next to him. The Raven was now fully clad in glowsticks and glowing beads everywhere, and it looked like a neon rainbow just came and vomited all over him. He even had a sack he was carrying behind him full of all sorts of glowing or party objects.
Blue sat down next to Red and sighed, relaxing as he leaned up against the counter. "Sorry I took so long, like I said I was getting concerned over the fact we lost Rave. Here now though, you said you had - oh! Cupcakes!" He went over to reach for the one with bright green sprinkles when Red swatted at his paw with her own, "Not that one! I color-coded them, see!" She gestured over at the one with the blue sprinkles, the odd one. He looked at it funny, but thought nothing of it as he took it in his paws. Reds cooking was always funny, usually ended in burning and/or fire. "Wow...this is actually kind of nice of you...thanks!" the Vulpix grinned, "Oh, yeah, no problem"
As he took his first bites, Jay piped up. "Blue, Buddy, I don't thi-" Red took the green cupcake in one paw and shoved it in the dark types face before he could finish, "Shut up and eat, Fluffy" Raven reached over to get his own and began to peck at it, staying quiet. As far as he knew, these munchies were radical and nothing mattered but that.
As Blue was almost done, he started getting a foul look on his face. He was trying to hold it down but the bad feeling was coming to get him. Usually, her cooking was bad, but not this bad. His paw went right to his stomach as he felt like it just did a flip, and he fell forwards as he curled up into a ball. He gave a groan, and Red moved forward to help but a flurry of Powder Snow enveloped him, as if a mask, and all she could do was stay still and watch until it cleared.
And when it finally did? Well, there was something very peculiar about him...his shape. He was curvier, to say the least, and his feathers seemed shorter. And his chest was all...oh goodness. Oh sweet Arceus on a stick, what had she just done...it was amazing.
Blue coughed, arms shaky as he pushed himself up. "Whats happe-" he stopped suddenly as he covered his mouth...or should I say she. She, as she just noticed, had a higher pitched voice now. "My voice! My voice is all girly, and my chest...!" her arms shot out to cover up her chest and lower body, "WHY DO I HAVE THE OVERWHELMING URGE TO COVER THESE?!" she shrieked, a blush coming over her face. Jay was speechless, mouth agape in wonder and Red was on the verge of tears...of laughter. "PFFFFTHAHA. Blue, I'm afraid those are boobs and that you are now female" the Sneasels ears dropped to the side. "fe...fe..."
He shook his head, still blushing. "Cover me, cover me!" Raven looked into his sack, digging through until he found a pair of pants and what seemed like a tube top. "Found these at the raaaaave. Don't know what dudettes lost em', but they should fit ya well blue bro." Blue looked at them for a moment, "Girls clothes...I'm going to..." She looked up at Jay and Raven, "Don't look at me!" The Zorua snapped back into reality, a bit of red dripping from his nose. "Oh, um, I SHOULD LEAVE" At this he turned into a Pidgey and began to fly away, well so much for that.
Once Raven turned around, she put on the garments, and she rubbed her arm while looking at Red, still very, very embarrassed. "I'm a...and you all..." she looked up, embarrassment turning into anger as she glared at Red. "You...you did this to me!" her claw extended out as she pointed it at the Vulpix, "Change me back!" she shrugged the best she could, "Sorry, don't know how!" the sneasel grit her teeth, "You...you!"
Her claw retracted, and she turned around. "I'm going to fix this!" she said, walking away as she muttered some swears under her breath. And then, oh boy, she was going to tear Red to shreds for this!

Skye & Frost & Nikolas & Kenna & Kaiyou & IstasThe Arcanine's laughter was quiet, despite his large stature. He was still perhaps a little childish, if only due to his early evolution. It had been kind of entertaining, for him, to watch the gradual changes occur in Sonata. She'd gone from being almost motherly and demanding, to a far more submissive individual. It was a curious change in personality, but he supposed she was right to be confused. He wasn't even sure how old he was, at this point.
"Well, there's a haunted house, a ferris wheel, rollercoaster... What would you like to see, first?" He questioned, the pair slowly and awkwardly beginning to walk in no particular direction. It was certainly a little unsual for them to spend some time together, but then again, it was a little unsusual fpr tem to have spare time at all.

Kai watched the antics of the strange little Pichu for a moment, his face splitting into a slight grin. He could understand, now, what the Electric-type wanted. Ice cream, apparently. It was pretty obvious why he was asking Kaiyou; it was tough to get through the crowd to get anywhere, and he might not have been aware that the ice cream was on sale for the duration of the festival. 'Or he could just not have the money, anyway.' Kai reminded himself silently.
He set Istas down on the sandy ground next to the other Pichu, ignoring her nervous attempted to cling back onto his leg, and moved toward the ice cream stall. "I'll be just a minute, you two. Hold on," he told them, squeezing into line between a pair of Grovyle. They seemed quite happy to let him past, still casting casual glances back at the two children behind him. Something about having a pair of Pichu children follow you everywhere gathered a lot of attention.
Girlish, high-pitched giggles were enough incentive for Kai to make his trip to the stall as quick as possible.
Istas flattened her ears with a squeak, and stared at the other Pichu for a moment. She licked her ice cream protectively, unsure of what to do. She mimicked his motion, waving a cautious paw back at him.
After deciding from his behavior that he wanted ice cream, she shoved the rest of hers in her face, cheeks puffed up to accomodate the icy treat, and the majority of the cone sticking out through her still-open mouth. For a moment, all was well, and the icy sweet food began to melt on her tongue. Her little tail waved with delight. And then the brain freeze set in.
There was a muzzled whimper, the Pichu clutching the sides of her head. She whined through a mouthful of ice cream, and promptly choked on it, only to be rescued by the return of a certain Swampert.
The ice cream cone was gently pulled from her face, and placed into her paws once more, Kai fighting the urge to laugh. Snowy was still very young; he'd have to keep a closer watch on her from then on. Holding out his other hand, he offered the other Pichu an ice cream cone of his own. He'd been sure to get sprinkles on it, figuring that the rainbow-coloured flecks of solidified sugar would bring some form of contentment in the excitable little guy.
Skye stared blankly through the window, her eyes wide with wonder as the carriage seemed to soar progressively higher. The lights below shone by the thousands, like staring into a sea of flickering, colourful stars. She could hear the faint rumblings of laughter, and screams echoing from the roller coaster and haunted house. It was incredible, in all honesty, and she felt her heart warmed by the sight below.
She listened in awe as Ivy began to tell her about all the places below. The guild in the far distance seemed to be the highlight, for her. The city lights, especially, seemed very bright on the horizon, but it remained difficult to tear her eyes from the glory of the carnival, or the impressive silhouette of the Sun Guild.
The boundary lands seemed of little interest, to her, but she'd heard of a few places that might be worth a visit in future, such as the place where her parents had been married.
By the time Ivy relented her explanations and excited ramblings, Skye's heart was pounding loudly in her ears. Her entire body seemed to quiver with an unspoken excitement. Though her expression gave away nothing, she was by far happy to be back. A small smile lit her face, eyes sparkling. "Thanks, Ivy." Her quiet voice was soft, warm, and welcoming. It was good to be home again.

A booth has been set up in the Social Area of the Festival. You wonder why it's taken so long to end but a voice from above growls at you to 'deal with it' and so you resign yourself to accepting the whole ordeal with little complaint.

The Meowth wrinkled her brow. Wow, that was really unlike her... what just happened? Oh, right. Buy stuff. Right. Yeahh...
Colorful contacts caught her attention. Ooooh~ pretty. She picked up a set pair of contacts and set it on the counter.
"These, please." She said to the Pokemon standing behind the booth. Handing over her ten tickets, the Meowth walked away with a pair of Grey Contacts. Reginald could kill her later~ GT: 0 Tickets: 2 Prizes: Budew plush, Smoochum Plush, other plushies ((Bought Grey Contacts for 5 Tickets Edit: WHAT! Only one per team?! Fine, I'll buy a Clear Night Egg for another 3 Tickets))  Leonardo
There were also things from the guild's last trip to the forrest that he didn't quite finish up as well; he should put those in, too.
By the end of the festival, many Pokemon would find random paintings on their persons. Now how did those get there?
A few of these drawings are from the previous chapter, a few are for this chapter. I'm sure you should recognise a picture if it belongs to you; namely it will have your pokemon. I haven't quite uploaded them all yet, so be patient :3
Namely, I drew those who put time and effort into their costumes and awesome stuff, or caught my attention with their posts if not.    ((much much more to come~ Will edit as I upload them D wink )

 Skye & Nikolas & Kenna & Kaiyou & Istas & CelesteCeleste, having abandoned the contest on account of feeling extremely weak and chilled from her dip in cold water, slipped through the crowd. Her violet eyes were narrowed with exhaustion, the towel still clutched tightly around her shoulders for warmth.
The warmth, flickering glow of the Litwick lighting the path was like a moth to a flame. In the end, it wasn't a difficult decision to huddle in close to the other Fire-types. They were uncomfortable with her presence, at first, but seeing the sodden state of her fur, they sympathized quite a bit with her situation.
To be soaked from head to toe was not in the wishes and desires of any Fire-type. She was lucky not to have burned out, they informed her. At this, she could not help but think of how thick the little candle Pokemon actually were. She could safely withdraw her flames, to protect herself. It was the Litwick who would drown in a drop of water. Useless creatures, she decided. Only good for shutting up and proving light, her father had told her.
She continued to huddle there, for the rest of the evening, until the announcement was made for their guilds to head home. She'd had quite enough festivals for one evening.
Kaiyou, with Istas in hand, and the thick-strapped messenger bag around his shoulder, trod on over to the chosen meeting place, standing tall in an effort to see any sign of Skye through the crowds. The Chandelure beside him seemed more than happy to assist, and brightened her glow until the little violet Eevee made her way back to her teammate.
Thanking the elderly Pokemon, the members of Team Stormcloud headed for the edge of the festival grounds, introducing Skye and Istas to eachother. Despite Istas' strong protests against being referred to by her proper name, the violet Eevee noted that it did not feel right for her to call her "Snowy". After some persuasion from Kaiyou and Istas alike, the Pichu was dubbed with her desired nickname, and the curious trio managed to find a place to hand in their tickets.
A bag of assorted gifts and prizes was passed to the teammates, causing a bit of a stir as one of the TMs slipped from its place and sank into Skye's paw. What move it contained, she didn't know. Luckily, after some scrambling throughout the bag, they managed to find the list of contents, and the other TM, safely sealed away. Frost Breath was an appropriate move for Skye, it was decided, and they headed home to relay the evening's events to their family.
Kenna and Nikolas laughed, quite happy with the way that their festival had passed. The children who'd previously been flocking about them had long since gone, headed home to their teams and families, and their paws filled with treats and candies.
Nik still clutched a rather large bag of goodies, and a sweet little Vulpix plush was clutched in the jaws of the Ninetales beside him. Kenna, who normally seemed quite intimidating, was pacified by the stuffed toy, wagging her nine tales softly in unison, and looking very much like a content puppy.
This was obviously quite a sight for some of their guild members to see, as the pair began to arrange travel preparations.
