As they spoke, an old man dressed in heavy brown robes stumbled into view carrying two heavy buckets of water. By all appearances he was nearing his time, and even his chakra signature was weak. He approached the shinobi slowly and deliberately before stopping in front of them. The only thing he said before resuming his walk north was a warning "Go away" He continued his slow walk until he reached a small village. Three houses and a church were the only buildings within, and a small farm appeared to be their sole purpose and source of food. A dark cloud hung over the village, destroying what would have been a tranquil atmosphere. The cloud itself would seem to have a chakra presence of it's own, but it was unstable and jumped from little more than the man's to a power resembling a demon. The old man carried the water into the church, without hesitating or speeding up. Noone else was in view, and the church's lights were the only ones on.

Before he could respond the old man was walking away. "He knows something." Kensei said as he started walking behind him and motioned for the girls to follow. When he saw the small village his attention went straight to the cloud and the church. He then looked around everywhere else and saw that the sky was clear. "That's not normal." Sora obediently followed after the team leader. She, too, noted the abnormalities. Although, she kept them to herself. However, she felt a distinct sense that something was wrong, wrong in the sense of being dangerous. The girl quietly stepped to the side, so that an attack on either her or any of her teammates wasn't likely to take out the entire team. Other than the sense of the cloud, the village, and just about everything else in this scene not being natural, though, she couldn't extract any other information. Sora looked to Haruka, wondering what her more sensitive teammate was feeling.

Haruka kept the process of reading the chakra signatures of the surroundings until at a certain point a weak one approached. At first she paid it no mind as she thought it was probably one of those who worked at the fields, possibly even the secretary of the owner of the tea fields. But it was not someone to be ignored as he, an old man in brown attire and two buckets of water that seemed rather heavy, spoke up after approaching the shinobi. 'Go...away? Why does he want us to leave?' she wondered and as the man continued on his trajectory to the north the readings of her ability caught a very strange thing.
When paying attention to where the man headed and noticing the dark cloud that was above the village he was headed to, the kunoichi could detect the dark cloud as if it was a chakra signal. 'A mass of chakra...from that dark cloud? What the...' she wondered as she could sense the unstability of the chakra that formed or seemed to form the cloud.
Before she noticed it, Kensei and Sora had started walking behind the man. She couldn't allow herself to be left behind and so she hurried to get beside to Kensei and whisper to him. "Kensei, he might know something but before we head into that village, I need to tell you something." she whispered and would continue as soon as she would get attention from him and possibly from Sora too in case she notices Haruka's intent. "That dark cloud above the village, it has a chakra signal as if it is a source of chakra or made of chakra. It is not a natural dark cloud. The signal I get from it is varying, it just increased suddenly from a very weak to something that resembles the power of a demon." she said and she knew what she was talking about as there was someone very close that had the chakra level of a demon.

After only a few minutes the man exited the church once more, his movements were swift, and he only stumbled three or four times before he pushed through the group of shinobi. In his hands were the same buckets, empty and in need of a refill. He gave the group an angry look, but seemed too rushed to give them another warning. Thunder cracked and lightning crawled through the dark cloud like a snake constricting it's prey. The sun began to linger on the edge of the horizon, as if giving the world one last look before it was plunged into darkness. The day was done, but the cloud only became more restless.
((sorry, i'm in a gloomy mood. Glad to see RP moving forward though. ))

(OOC: Well, since Hikaro went so far as to quote me, I'll post. Although, I can't post about much sweatdrop .)
Sora gave Haruka an interested glance when she mentioned chakra levels equal to that of a demon. However, before she could react in any other way, the mysterious man pushed right between her and the rest of the group. The angry look and rushed silence worried Sora, and her anxiety was only increased by the air: it was saturated with electricity, exciting the demon within her even further. the girl thought as she sought a means to somehow use the energy that was building up within her. Thunder storms had always made Sora more jittery than usual; although, until recently she hadn't known why. This was just different because there was actually something to be jittery about. Without really knowing what she was doing, the girl began releasing bits of electricity from her body, unwittingly charging the ions in the air around her.

As the old man showed up again after leaving the church, his angered expression was not exactly what worried her but the fact that even though he looked like he wanted to tell them to leave again, he continued on his way to get more water. 'Why is he in a hurry?' Haruka wondered while the silence of the night that was about to begin was constantly interrupted by the sound of the thunder. "Kensei, what are we going to do?" the medical kunoichi asked the leader of the team. With the few clues she currently had the only thing she could think of doing was to search inside the church first, but to do that the leader of the team would have to decide that it was okay.

Kensei looked at the old man and glared at him. He looked back at he village and continued looking at the church. After hearing the question he cleared his throat and stepped forward. "I saw we investigate the church. Something about that cloud." He said as he started to walk to the village "Try to stay alert though."

((Okay, let's give this RP a boost shall we? You no longer need Raiden's help, something like this would probably be a good excuse to proceed without orders. A mild hint would be understanding his chakra is the only possible way to win the fight.))
Once more the man pushed his way past the group, but his expression had changed from anger to fear. He moved as quickly as he could towards the church, but before he could make it the cloud roared with thunder. He dropped the water and stared. "No....No...I was so close..." The clouds rolled back as if hesitating before they burst outwards cloaking the sky in black. The lightning jumped across the clouds like a dog on it's leash, trying desperately to attack the ground. The church door splintered as human screams destroyed whatever peace remained. Several chakra presences vanished instantly, replaced by a new one, connected to the cloud by a chakra leash. It let loose a scream of it's own, one of ice and death. The old man dropped to the ground, nothing more than a disfigured piece of meat. The unknown being let out another roar before smashing through the Church door and charging mindlessly towards the team of shinobi. As it came into view little could be seen except it stood close to eight feet tall, and had the same erratic chakra of the cloud.

Sora's first instinct, which was extremely influenced by the presence of the demon within her, was to run as far away as possible. Sora's second instinct was to make sure everything was alright. Thus, her reaction was a combination of the two. The girl dodged to the side easily with her superior speed and reaction, only to regret it a moment later as worry for her teammates came over her. "Haruka?! Kensei?!" the girl called out without thought. Her entire body was shaking with fear, but she somehow managed to remain steady. It was a good thing that she couldn't sense the erratic chakra. Just the visual and aural scene she had been witness to was enough to freak her out.

He then saw the beast charging towards them. Before he could say anything he saw Sora had the right idea. He pushed Haruka out of the way before jumping away to Sora. "Sora calm down and focus." He said while placing a hand on her shoulder and keeping an eye on the beast. "What the hell is that thing?" With the retun of the old man, she was about to find out the reason behind his anger. But instead of anger the man now showed fear as the loud sound coming from the cloud gave the sign that something was going to happen soon. Haruka witnessed what happend in front of her without being able to think of what to do. She felt the chakra signals disappearing in the surroundings as one single being took their place, and lives, along with the old man's.
As the being, thing, monster of whatever could be use to describe it, charged towards the group of shinobi, Haruka was speechless and when she came to her senses, she had been saved by Kensei who had pushed her out of the unknown being's way. "Thank...you, Kensei." she said as she understood what happened to her. "And I'm sorry about that, I do not konw what happened to me." Haruka said as she did not want to tell them the reason that her dodge was delayed, the reason why they heard people screaming.
As Kensei told Sora to calm down and focus, Haruka knew she should do the same. Just like she could sense the chakra signals, the connection between the monster and the cloud could be sensed. That was something that called Haruka's attention as soon as she managed to focus on her chakra radar. "I have no idea of what that thing is but...it is connected to the cloud by chakra." the kunoichi told her team, while waiting for the next movements of the enemy. "I wonder if...we could do something about that connection..." Haruka said her thoughts out loud as she questioned the possibility and what it could happen to the enemy if they were to cut that connection.

((I am not trying to pressure you just letting you know when the thread is updated since things are going so slow. I am kind of working without internet myself. Err, I hope you understand why i'm not using jutsu directly. It just wouldnt make sense.)) The being turned to face the team and stopped moving. It's chakra signature became next to nothing as it stared at the team. After a slight pause the clouds roared to life and a massive bolt of lightning shot towards all three shinobi. It is not instantaneous like lightning though it would be difficult to dodge. If it struck it would not do any damage, but it would put the victim under something similar to the "Kukan Hyouketsu" Genjutsu. The victim's body would behave as if it was incredibly cold (Including side effects like shivering) Quote: Kukan Hyouketsu no Jutsu (Body Freeze Technique) Catalyst: The opponent must be touched by the illusory electricity held by the user Description: This genjutsu, like Fukyuu no Jutsu, starts with the user gathering a small amount of illusory electricity in his hand, but then must physically contact the target in order to fully initiate the genjutsu. When the user hits the target, the electricity seems to discharge and the user tells the target that he has reduced the target’s metabolism, reducing the amount of body heat that will be generated. Soon after, the target begins to feel very cold, and afterwards they will start to get the symptoms of hypothermia: shivering, slurred speech, loss of coordination and sluggish movements. Applying a suitable amount of heat to the body defeats the Genjutsu.
