Appearance: Jace is naturally a nice tan with dark freckles speckling his shoulders, both of which get even darker during the summer months, and his eyes are such a dark purple they may easily be mistaken for pure black from most angles. His hair is a sleek black color, hanging down over his shoulder blades in the back with choppy, shorter bangs, though the right side of his bangs are nearly as long as the rest of his hair and bleached and dyed rainbow. Sometimes he'll put his hair in a low ponytail or braid, but the rainbow bangs always hide that side of his face and the eyebrow-to-cheekbone scar that runs down it. He's quite tall, standing at 6'1", and has an athletic build that puts his weight at 180lbs. Jace has one tattoo so far, a large one that starts at a red flower on his shoulder and wraps down and around his arm with a green, thorned vine to the back of his hand.
History: Long story short, Jace grew up in Floaroma town with adoptive parents that were quite moody. Sometimes they'd be loving, sometimes they'd be abusive. His 'father' is responsible for the scar on his face, and luckily that's the only injury that left a mark. When Jace was around 12 years old, his 'parents' got busted for illegal business practices and Jace fled to avoid being taken into custody as well. Being some random kid without blood relatives, the cops didn't bother to pursue him. After Jace fled, he caught his first Pokemon (a Kricketot he named Berry Butt) and took to the city. Soon he became mixed up with street gangs, though most would avoid him for fear of the law tracking him down. When someone told him about the Battle Frontier, however, and how the mainland news didn't travel there, Jace took off to find a new life. Once at the Battle Frontier, Jace found a small gang, climbed the ranks, and took it over. But, just like before, something came along to screw it all up: this time in the form of a pretty little redhead. The girl wrapped Jace around her finger, and it wasn't until the cops ambushed them trying to ambush trainers that Jace realized she was nothing more than a spy for the police. She didn't make it out of the ambush, however, but in her last moments she gave Jace a Pokeball... That 'ball contained a Scyther named Butch, and a note encouraging him to move on and promising she never once gave his name. Trying to start over again, Jace sought out the Resort Area and got himself a little place there. Having grew tired of being angry and mean all the time, Jace put on a happier face, a smoother face, a charming face. By only 19, he was able to sweet-talk himself into cocktail parties and through those he learned about Pokemon Contests. For reasons he couldn't explain, though perhaps due to his upbringing in Floaroma, Jace became quite interested in these Contests and the berry-everything that went with it. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for Jace to discover that his charm and new-found poffin-making skills wouldn't get him by for long in such a rich-y place, and his fury took over again. He burned his house, released Butch, and jumped a ferry to Kodo. Upon arriving at this island region, Jace found out he'd been followed by a quite stubborn Scyther: Butch. Now so very far away from where he came from, Jace found Sandalwood City and made a home -and berry garden- below it, deciding to try just one more time...
