yalie5 xXHotBabiBluXx yalie5 xXHotBabiBluXx yalie5 xXHotBabiBluXx Oh, I didn't too, until we have to do stuff about them in Social Studies calss. sweatdrop oh... well i come online and there's all this info about what's going on and we learn about this sort of stuff in history. History?! I want to learn history, but we are learning about japan and the world wars and other things that relates to it. i'm in american history, which is like world history in the beginning but gets more into americans towards the middle. Oh, I see. and isn't history and social studies basically the same thing? Not really. History is something you can learn in Social Studies. But the grade/year I'm in does not involve history, until later on..

Trust me, Toki, it's MUCH better than learning about British agriculture and industry.... I've had open field systems thrown at me, olden machinery which I know I'll never come across in my life... THIS ISN'T HISTORY! This is making us learn absolute crap! scream gonk At least Henry VIII IS history... I learnt about him in Year 5 - a long long time ago. I still remember him... Strange guy... xd I thought he was quite interesting, seeing has he had six wives, all with a strange ending (except the last one... Catherine Parr, was it not??)... I guess she was lucky. I felt sorry for Jane, the third wife... sad

If you do continue doing history though, learning about germany under the rule of the third reich is really interesting. In fact I found both WWI and WWII to be really interesting as they were actually in the 20th century whereas everything we'd learnt about before had been ancient history.

I used to do it, as religion for our school is compulsory and you have to take it for GCSE. The RS lessons at my school sucked though as all we learned about was christianity. At my old school we did judaism and some buddhism which was cool and I even wanted to continue doing it as it was so interesting. But the teacher at my school is just crap and so pro-christian that he makes the learning experience dull and just another attempt to convert us non-christians. BAH! mad

There are some things that teachers are not allowed to teach you in the class room in a public school.

I speak cantonese and the way it's pronounced is sort of like 'goon yum' or sometimes 'goon yum poe sat'. I dunno what she does but I think she is Buddha's right hand woman and she's usually found sitting on a lily of some sort, holding a piece of grass and a vase. It's probably quite a good idea to drop history for AS and A level as it is really hard in comparison to some of the other subjects. The syllabus is just huge and you have to learn two separate bits of history at the same time. Most of the guys at my school fared pretty poorly in the AS history exams. And there were only a few people who got As.
